Opinions de Thai Garden Cafe Cleburne
We were first time patrons. Mother-in-law came by day before Thanksgiving. We decided to find a new restaurant we'd never tried. Online (of course) we found this Thia diner. When we arrived it was 45 minutes minutes before they were to close. When we arrived we were greeted at the door (later wed find out by the owner) with a smile and a fantastic greeting. The waitress was beyond awesome. They took the time to tell us about the menu, the region on the food in Thailand, and NEVER rushed us. The menu was extensive so, we had a lot of questions. The food was outstanding. They had a soup that arrived a few moments after we finished with the outstanding appetizers. It looked like water that had a onion in it. We all kind of looked at one another figured if we are in it for something different we needed to taste the "soup". I will being with saying this. Do not beleave your eyes. We tasted it and it was amazing. She told us it was and believe me she was right about the menu. We all ordered different items and shared because, it was fantastic. They even let us pick from spiced hot or mild. The real shocker was they expanded to us about the dessert menu and told us about a fried banana lightly glazed with honey,s touch of 10x sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. OMG it was great. They never once rushed us. They treated us like family. They resterant is a small tucked back building if not for the sign I would I have driven past. It is a unpolished on the outside diamond. We will be making it a regular on the days we want awesome food for a really really reasonable price. Go and have a experience you will remember. You will leave full and have plenty to eat for another meal. They are not stingy with the helpings. Have a great time and I hope you have as wonderful a time as we did.
For several years our office staff and friends have loved the food here!! Always fresh and delicious! Each dish ordered is seasoned the way you want it from "no spice" to "Thai spicey" so anyone can enjoy it!
Probably the best place in town. I was surprised to find a really good Thai place in Cleburne. Everything is prepared fresh. Haven't found anything on the menu I don't like. Service is good and the owner is always great! Definitely recommend and wish they were open for dinner service more often than Friday evenings.
Wonderful food!!! Thai Garden is a secret gem in Cleborne Tx. If you are close by come by and enjoy the food!!!
The food is absolutely wonderful! I eat here three to four times a week. The owner is the sweetest man, he's a Veteran of the U.S.A.F. and his wife is the one who cooks all of the food. The prices are extremely reasonable. Nothing can even compare to the food I love it here! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!
First time visiting and it was a good visit. Not a very large restaurant, so not a lot of customer noise. Portion sizes and prices are good. Got the lunch special of Thai Basil stir fry medium spice and the Thai Garden sampler. I really enjoyed my meal and would order it again. If ever you find yourself in Cleburne and hungry go to Thai Garden Cafe.
This little restaurant is a weekly staple in my house!! I absolutely love the owner and his family. They will customize your order and their menu offers a wide variety of vegetarian options in addition to normal options. The pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food. Unfortunately this little gem is only open at lunch M-F, and only open in the early evenings on Th & F. They do offer pick up and take out options. If you come in on a day that's busy please note that the food is well worth the wait!!!
Delicious Thai food made the way you like it. The friendly staff are happy to modify to your taste. Veggie versions, low sugar, mild spices (or extra spicy), substitute fried rice for plain, all are not a problem. They even cut up the noodles and put them in a bowl to make it easier for my 6 year old. I highly recommend this restaurant.
🩵 Absolutely Love this Place and the food 🩵
Absolutely Amazing Aunthentic Thai food! It doesn't get any better than this family owned Thai restaurant. The mom and daughters in the back work so hard to bring you the flavors that keep you coming back for more!! There is not one thing on the menu this picky eater hasn't loved! I love it all!!! Gotta get there while u can bc this town knows what's up and they fill those tables fast!!
Food was fantastic 🤩. Was really surprised at this little hole in the wall restaurant friendly. Will definitely do it again
Daughters recommendation. Very good lunch. Garlic and Pepper with beef (meat choice) and medium spice was excellent. Was not green pepper as expected but black and red ground pepper. Medium spice as much as I wanted and excellent after taste. Beef in bite-size pieces done perfectly. Served with rice. Also had Green Curry Shrimp that were very good, maybe a little salty for us. Appetizers were Spring Rolls and Poppers just ok, very small, needed work, but appetizers.
The very best Thai food in Texas. Small family run restaurant very friendly staff. This food is fresh and prepared for you when you order so if you're in a hurry this is not the restaurant for you. Be prepared to wait a little but your meal will be hot and fresh and Simply Amazing.
This place is a gem! You want great Thai food look NO FURTHER! How more people don’t know about this idk!! It should be packed every second. There’s nothing I could compare it too because it just stands alone with authentic thai food and flavor!! The flavor will bring you back every time! I’m NOT KIDDING YOU! Don’t try those other places because if you do you will be disappointed after eating here! I don’t often do reviews but I could talk about this place all the time!! We’ll done ladies!!
I have to say I was very surprised at how good the food was! I got the red curry and ate every bite. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Plan to come back soon.
Wonderful service, friendly staff and excellent food. You dont have to worry about something being too spicy since you set the spice level when you order. It is the same with protein options so any dish can be meatless for those who want it.
Came all the way from Tucson, AZ for this food and it was worth the trip!!! Family owned and operated restaurants give such a feel like you’re at their house being cooked for. Thats what you get here. Did I mention it was worth the trip!!
Best green curry in town! I would recommend. The tom yum is the best soup there. It has a really nice atmosphere too.
Absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff. Have yet to have a dish I didn't enjoy. Make it a point to try this place, you will not be disappointed, especially if you are looking for a GREAT curry. 👍🏻
They have some of the best Thai food I've ever had, highly recommend the drunken noodles or pad thai. The people who own it are so welcoming as well. Overall good experience every time!
This place is the quintessential "whole in the wall dive". But man was it GOOD! I would definitely go back if I'm in Cleburne again. I highly recommend this place. I had the penang curry and my son had the pad thai noodles. But other people's dishes looked appetizing as well. So go! And enjoy!!
I finally made it to Thai Garden Cafe and tried the red curry at Thai hot spice level. It was tasty, though not as spicy as I expected. The staff was very friendly and made the experience enjoyable. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.
I eat here at least once a week, but usually every couple of weeks since it’s close to my office. I’ve never had a bad meal here and the staff is always friendly and attentive. If it were to give it any negative feedback it would just be the size of the establishment and seating availability. With that said, their customer service supersedes that ding mark and I think a larger place could cause issues with their ability to stay efficient as they are. Even when they have a full house, the kitchen is able to keep up and usually get orders out timely… the couple of times I experienced a short wait, the staff told me to expect it because of a large order or several orders that came in at once. The food taste fresh, flavored, and the soups are some of favorites too. Definitely worth trying if you’ve never been here.
My first time here, I got red curry, food was great! Good portion size, I left full and happy. Clean and friendly workers.
I live in Burleson but don’t mind the drive to get their amazing red curry tofu. Thai Garden is definitely a diamond in the rough! My husband raves about the Chicken Cashew. If you are in the area, stop in for lunch, you won’t be sad you did. They are closed on Sundays.
Food and service was excellent! If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should.
Recently discovered this gem & savory delicious curry. Service was excellent & kind can’t wait to try more.
Top-drawer family owned restaurant. Had the fabuolus chicken cashew--this time. Gotta go back to work my way down that menu! #lifegoals
Hey, Guys! I´m writting you this review but just with the intention of warning you and all the businesses around the area of this guy Steve Briley! be careful in providing you with the service because if you do not what he wants he will leave negative and fake bad reviews! I was recently talking to him about doing some work on his yard and since I could not do it he started leaving bad reviews! if you offer food it is to spicy or the food is Or lack of salt he will leave you a bad review! What that heck? The same way he leaves reviews I also have the right to leave reviews about him and I will continue doing it all over the internet! And he´s a religious man and only evil he has in his heart
I enjoyed the food so much. It was very tasty.

We have eaten here a couple of times now and we really like it! The food is very good and it's real food! Not an out of the box type meal. The prices are fair and the people are so friendly. Just a little hole in the wall which of course is the best kinds of restaurants. This is the first time I've ever tried Thai food so I may not be best judge comparatively but I know good food and this is it!
We went when they were shorthanded during lunch and were still served in a respectful and timely manner. Our server was amazing! The food is great, the flavors were light and authentic! The portion sizes are on the small side, but totally worth the visit! I highly reccomend the currys and the appetizer trio. So yummy! We will definitely be returning.
Very authentic pad thai. Most thai restaurants are actually Chinese owned. But this place is legit. The owner is from Thailand. Very expensive though and not generous portion.
I had forgotten how much I loved this restaurant! Happened to be passing by & noticed the full parking lot. Made a block & went back. Thank goodness I did! Usually I stick to my favorite Pad Thia, but today, I made myself try something new; I ordered the Drunken Noodles, and I am sure glad I tried it! Delicious! Planning to go back tomorrow and order their Special: Pineapple Fried Rice! Can't wait! Serving staff is extra friendly and accommodating, food is excellent!, portion size is plenty for sharing!
Excellent food! Friendly people and great service! Great place to meet with my friends or have a date night! They have limited nights with dinner and all weekdays with lunch. The lunch specials come with the most delicious soup and 2 spring rolls. Yum! The Panang is perfection, and the Pad Thai is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this place!

Ordered the Thai Basil Stir Fry on my first trip - medium hot. Hotter than I was expecting, but it was so good I finished it in minutes. This is definitely one of the top few restaurants Cleburne has. Other than maybe 4-5 other places at most, I've been really disappointed with the quality of food to be found in the city. But this was was definitely a happy find and one I'll put in my rotation.
Pretty good thai food. I got the panang curry and was very happy with it. The Thai tea was really watery in my opinion so I just drank something else. The soup they brought out was different than what I've had but I liked it well enough. Service was through the roof good.
Curry is really good. The drunken noodles are very good and also the noodles with veggies and chicken. Over all good Thai food.
It's a little on the pricy side but extremely good food. Made fresh to order. Friendly staff.

There was a very long wait for a to go order. I tried calling multiple times but nobody would answer so I had to place my order at the restaurant. The ladies were very nice but the manager never even looked my way or gave me updates like he did with the rest of the customers. I always get Pad See Ew at Thai restaurants and theirs was ok but not very authentic tasting and the noodles were over cooked. If this is your only option for Thai food then it's ok but if you can make it to Burleson there is a way better Thai restaurant there with a great atmosphere.
Have been eating at this restaurant for several years but shortly after it moved to the current location on Main Street the quality of the food began to go downhill. Fewer selections on the menu now, spring rolls are small, thin and oily and the so-called "soup" we had last time at lunch was literally nothing but broth. Wish the food here was as good as it was before. Very disappointed.
This cafe is literally a hole in the wall if you’re not looking closely enough, you will miss this entrance to the parking lot. Their sign use to be lit up, but now it doesn’t work anymore. I don’t know if they just don’t want to fix it or they don’t have the funds to do it with. Because literally they don’t stay open for that long. They open for lunch, then close about 7pm. The food is not that good. The only thing worth eating is their Curry. Plus the owners are rude, even their wait staff are not friendly.
I order shrimp pad thai, beef pad thai and 2 spring rolls and my total was $42. That was the first surprise. I get back to my job and find a crumbled up piece of foil with this sad excuse for a spring roll with 2 tiny shredded carrot sticks and 3 pieces of cabbage that wasn't any bigger than my thumb. $3 Each for the spring roll. They used what looks like angel hair pasta instead of rice noodles. The taste was under average and over cooked. Very disappointed.

We got to the restaurant and we’re greeted at first with smiles and everything, then turned into an uncomfortable atmosphere of irritation, then ordered only to almost be up charged for what already came with our meals. Then after we were given our order we got home to take everything out of the bag we realized that we didn’t get the sample plater. We called up to the store and told them and they said they could only help us with a receipt, which they also DID NOT GIVE US so all in all the food is very good but the service and attention to detail is horrid and no one there seems to know prices of anything or how anything works while working with customers.

Almost an hour to get food and had to get it to go. Paid full price then got chastised for having to pay separately by im assuming was the old owner. Food was just edible, nothing special. Poor manners and blaming it on the new girl from Taiwan. Our entire office will never go back. No tips left, not deserved.
The food is good but the service has a lot to be desired, the waitress didn't pay attention or seem to care to attend to our table. The crotchety old man that owns the place is incredibly rude. My friends and I use to visit this place often until today, he has been too rude far too many times and I will make sure our business and friends no longer visit this establishment.
Went there for lunch today, had never been, went in and got seated immediately, but the whole restaurant was so hot we were sweating, the waitress we had was a young girl super nice and helpful, but the food and service(Not the waitress, who was new) was absolutely horrible. My entire group ordered pad thai, I had chicken pad thai add tofu, the other two in the party had shrimp pad thai add tofu, and pork pad thai. We waited 40 minutes for our food, and when it finally came out, it was cold, the tofu looked like sliced bread and had the consistency of sliced bread too, and when I touched it with my fork A LOT of liquid came out, yes I know tofu is in water when you get it, but this was just too much water for it to have been cooked, and it was just a watery gooey blob. The shrimp pad thai was supposed to be spicy and wasn't, had the same issue with the tofu, and the shrimp was pre-cooked shrimp with the shell on that was just re-cooked and was rubbery. The pork was so pale it looked like chicken. The overall taste was salty and gross! We quietly Went to the waitress so that it wouldn't cause a scene to the other restaurant goers and she told us that she would get the manager. The manager comes out of the kitchen and comes to the table and starts yelling at us asking us "what's wrong with the food" she said "oh it's cold we can take it back to the kitchen and REHEAT it for you" We said "um no, thank you. You are NOT supposed to take food BACK to the kitchen and REHEAT IT" LIKE YUCK!!. Then she kept asking us questions like "have you ever eaten pad thai before?" And yes, we eat pad thai quite often, We've just never been here before, so she was. Like, "well, maybe pad Thai isn't for everybody Or Thai food isn't for everybody. Maybe it just isn't to your liking." We said no that something was just wrong with it. She then proceeded to tell us "well how about you don't pay for it, leave here, and NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN". We told her "yeah we think that is the best option" A:the food is terrible, and B: the management skills seem to lacking! We are not sure if her yelling was to embarrass us or not, but she only embarrassed herself and the establishment. We DID pay for the one fountain drink someone got, but we left the food and everything behind. I DO NOT recommend this place AT ALL. Yes we did not have to pay, but I think people need to be aware that if you say it's cold and they say they will take care of it, they just go back there and REHEAT it, and that if there are other issues, and you make a complaint, you will probably not be allowed back.
My opinion has changed and so has the food or cook and servers. No salt or pepper or soy sauce on table. Food has no flavor. Clean your windows and walls and the hole to enter parking lot is horrible 👎🏼
Been wanting to try this place, went in for dinner take out. I got an order of spring roll, beef pad thai and a tom kah soup. The total was almost $44 just for that. Was shocked. Seems very pricy for what I got bc it wasn't that great. Guess I didn't check prices, which there isnt any online. Anyhow, the place is ok, seemed clean, nothing fancy. The employees are very sweet and happy to serve. The food though, it definitely isn't worth the $44. Pad thai was dry and gummy, egg over done and overall wasn't really that good, the soup was decent and the spring rolls were cute but because they're so little they don't hold hardly anything inside of them so you're eating mostly wrap. They were meh. Overall, the people were so nice but the food wasn't worth the price.
1st trying this establishment and I REALLY wanted for it to be good and to like it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Yes, it’s difficult to get past the huge holes driving in but the “hole in the wall” atmosphere, I like. We got madman curry and drunken noodles with chicken. Sadly, neither had flavor. The right flavors were there but you can barely taste them. Seemed like a watered down version of each dish. I’ll try once more but the first experience, is a NO.
