Tried a new chimichanga and it was outstanding. Their iced tea is excellent. Everything I eat there is made well and fast.

El Toritos was delicious. My husband had the Tamale plate. He loved it. I got the #1 lunch special...a Taco and a chicken enchilada. I choose the charro beans. Delicious.

Sign outside says Mexican food. This is a Tex-Mex restaurant. However, the wait staff are extremely friendly and courteous. Seated us right away and we're very prompt in getting our drinks (sorry, they don't have Horchata at this location) and have us exactly enough time for us to look at the menu and decide what we wanted before coming back. Almost like they were watching us LOL. Even brought us more chips just as we were running out and soda refills the same. I think they hired a lady just to do the chips and salsa. Very good at it too. She's right behind you as your being seated to put the chips and salsa on the table before you even have a chance to order drinks. Big thumbs up on that. They have the best salsa for their chips I have found in a restaurant. Usually have to make it at home to get this kind of flavor. Each dish ordered was absolutely awesome. That says a lot coming from me, since I don't care for Tex-Mex. To me, it's ruined Mexican food. By the people have fixed it.

Best Tex mex spot in town, been in business a long time. I used to go as a kid with family. Try the chicken jalapeno! Edit: It's been a many years since I last dined here. I went to this establishment growing up and in high school, but now it lays dormant, and business doesn't look great. Take that as you will.

The recipes here are unique and set them apart from the run of the mill Mexican restaurant. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. My favorite is the Stuffed Poblano with chicken and ranchero sauce. Delicious.

This is our go to favorite Tex Mex in town! The service is always wonderful the food is fresh and it's consistently on point. My husbands favorite is Chicken Jalapeno and I enjoy trying a bit of everything on the menu.

Nice, clean, quiet restaurant. Had plenty of room for our ladies' get together. Chips and salsa were tasty, slightly spicy. I had the Pollo Con Verduras that came with rice and beans. Main entre had big chunks of tender, juicy, white meat chicken, sauteed peppers, onion, zucchini, spinach and mushrooms with flour tortillas, lettuce and guacamole. The rice and refried were good. All tasted fresh. I also ordered a chicken flauta to try it and look forward to ordering again. Our server was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend.

First time visiting El Torito and I was surprised ..food was delicious fresh hot just like homemade !! They have excellent decision of food to choice from.( You won't go wrong ) and if you do go wrong ...well then ..you just don't know how to order.

I really like this place! Spice level is high- if you don’t like heat beware but I love it! Great job, fast service and flavors are on point! I’ll definitely be back again and again. Only bad- cheese sauce (queso) is just ehhh. Looks and taste like it came straight out of the can. Otherwise great job!

The food has very good flavor and the prices are reasonable for Texmex food. The service is always good. They don't serve alcohol, but they give you two complimentary alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere is not the best. That's the reason for 4 stars. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. I highly recommend this place.

I had the jalapeño chicken— great! Cheesy spicy plus baked. Chicken was perfectly cooked. My wife had the poblano chicken quesadilla. Could have used a bit more chicken. Lots of menu option a plus. Service very good. Chips a bit stale and salsa spicy but not amazing.

Friendly service with tasty food. The salsa was way spicy so be prepared. Our servers were quick and made sure we did not wait long for anything. The food tasted good. I tried the guacamole taco. They have vegetarian options. The nachos were beautiful.

Parking lot is a bit of a challenge where it’s located. I ordered the lunch fajitas and overall they were good. They came out on a plate instead of sizzling on a cast iron. They were hot but not sizzling hot like I’m used to. I will say the chicken lacked seasoning. It was fine when put in a tortilla with everything else but by itself it was very plain. They have really good salsa and bring you out plenty. I’ve been going here for lunch for years. It’s worth the stop.

The staff was a bit limited, but that might have been because of the time we showed up. The food was great, and the service improved after a while. We will definitely be going back. The building is a bit dated and run down, but it's still pretty clean. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves. Did I mention the food was great?

One of my favorite restaurants, Their fajitas are my favorite anywhere. Salsa is good and although it's a little watered down, you can get a free margarita with your dinner. The guy that owns it is a straight up guy and works hard.

Great service, much better than expected from the word of of mouth. In a town filled with Mexican food, it takes a good meal to stand out, sadly the fajita meat Burrito did not stand out. It was good, but not great or special in any way. Chips and salsa are fine, pretty spicy for Cleburne, which I think is a positive. It's been 7 years since my last visit. If I'm craving good Mexican food in Cleburne, El Torito just doesn't rank high enough on my list to get my regular repeat business. Great friendly service though. 👌

Queso was cold but they fixed it. Beef enchiladas were above average but the beef fajitas were somewhat tough. Also they marinate the fajitas with a very strong marinade that takes the natural flavor away. All in all not bad.

Decent at best. Wife had beef fajitas, flour tortillas were tough. I had the flatas dinner. Not a lot of flavor. Salsa was bland, not spicy at all. Service was ok.

I didn't like it that much. It was kinda good. I liked the fried ice cream. Other than that, I just liked watching wipeout on the TV in one of the corners.

Good food, friendly staff, but can be inconsistent at busy times. First visit food arrived promptly and hot, and was very tasty. Next visit food was slow coming and was not hot! Should have sent back but we ate it any way. Our fault...

They guy working the register is very sweet and makes sure you're pleased with your meal. I ordered stacked ground beef enchiladas I got home and they were chicken. I called and he made me the correct order. However, the food doesn't taste as good as it used to.

The service was great, they were fast and got refills before my glass was empty. The food was just okay. I got a beef flauta and chicken tostada. The beef was ground, which was unexpected. The chicken didn't taste fresh. The abarro beans and the rice were good. The complementary chips and salsa were good too. Average to high price considering the ingredients.

The plate I ordered had a ribeye and it was too well done, had a lot of grissel, and did not look like a ribeye, service was not very good either. We will probably not go back.

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because of the service. The food is very very bland. Queso, enchiladas, shrimp, Charo beans and pork had zero seasoning. For the price of this place I really thought it would have been better.

I'm curious as to where all these other people, reviewing this place, have eaten before. I feel sorry for y'all. This is definitely NOT the best food in town....Taco Casa is better than this. Very disappointing dinner. Especially when you take your child with you....as there's no kids menu or milk. When I asked the waitress what they had for kids to drink she replied, "I typically have them get sprite or tea". We're not all trying to have our kids pumped full of caffeine. No thanks. And ordering my 2 year old an $8 plate wasn't my intention. Then the queso.... no flavor, tried to order an appetizer of guacamole, waitress said they were out of it.... yet it came out on the side of a meal I ordered just fine. We definitely won't be back. First and last time. The jalapeno chicken was good though.

Usually wonderful. But ordered enchiladas with chili and they put ranchero sauce instead. They were awful. I have gotten them with chili numerous times but when I asked about why they had ranchero sauce instead of chili, our waitress and the guy at the register both said that was chili. It definitely was not.

Food is good but customer service and attitude are poor. My husband and I are from out of town, and we have tried to eat here twice this year, once 6 months ago and once this weekend. We came with family and friends. The first time they were almost rude about seating us together. Today they refused to seat us. I understand that big parties are extra bother, but there was no attempt at trying to accommodate us as best they could or even making kinds suggestions.

The service was great. The place has a bad odor, which should have been my clue to leave. The food looked amazing but the sour cream sauce tastes like dish soap. The chicken that was inside the enchiladas was really good.

High prices and slow service. Some of the food I ordered was burnt and bland. I can get the same food at other locations for cheaper price and faster service.

Placed order to go to be delivered at 6:30 p.m.. The order came at 6:14 p.m., and I wasn't home yet. Hence the delivery time requested of 6:30 p.m.!!! So by the time I got home the nachos were cold and soggy. For over $12 I paid for six small chips with beans cheese guacamole and sour cream. Even the picture on the website shows 8 chips lol. The salsa, if you can call it that, was awful. Like spicy, thin tomato soup. I should learn my lesson about ordering anything called Mexican food in this county. I normally just go to Fort Worth for decent Mexican food. But I was working a long shift and just wanted something delivered. Lesson learned, never again.

When you order the charge on one ticket the meal and another ticket for the drinks. So they are charging more tax. You really need to check the tickets we where charged for 2 drinks, but only had 1 drink and water. Half of the staff didn't have mask on. The waitress never asked if the food was okay.

As my wife and I entered this Mexican establishment, we noticed it kinda warm, as in temperature, not inviting. The owner asked my wife how many is in the party, she told him 2, then she asked him if we could have a cool spot. His answer, without a smile was, "yes you can go back home"!!! That was the rudest owner of an establishment I have ever encountered in the city of Cleburne, we were there to try a different restaurant. Sir, I hope your food is very good, because you really need to learn how to speak with people, and do a little thinking next time you address a lady in the way you addressed my wife. As I nor my wife will ever step foot in your place of business again.....ever, I pray for you and I hope you remember this review & see it everyday before you go out into the public with such a harsh attitude toward the people you serve, that keep your establishment in business and pay the bills for you family!!!🙏

Terrible service and I can't tell ya what the food tastes like because I ended up with no food. They're menu does not match what they bring you so I unfortunately got no food at all!!!

If they used the money they spend buying 5-star reviews they might just be able to afford real food. Queso was akin to the nacho cheese you get at a movie theater, the chicken tasted like canned tuna and the rice was somehow both overcooked AND undercooked. There were more staff than customers and every last one of them seemed miserable and unfriendly. Even my fountain soda tasted off, almost like they haven't cleaned the lines in over a year. Needless to say, we'll never go back.

Stopped in for lunch and the service was incredibly poor. The restaurant also appears to have a broken AC system. Food was all from cans and their chili sauce was something akin to what they put in Spaghetti-O's. Definitely won't be returning anytime soon.

Food was ok. The cheese tasted burnt it’s not a place I would return to. I do not understand how this has a 4 1/2 of review. And the staff that took care of us,was very unfriendly to us. It felt like the air conditioner was broke.

Just tried to place an order for pick up- support a local business, you know. Anyway, when I tired to order enchiladas, and when I did not know what sauce I wanted, I was told I could figure it out and call back. When back to the menu...no sauces listed. So?? Since they are not willing to help me place an order at a place I have never been, I guess I will have to spend money elsewhere

New to town and picked a random restaurant. Boy did we pick wrong. We were seated quickly and asked about beverages before I even sat. The salsa tasted like tomato soup with some kick to it. The cheese sauce tasted like Velveeta and super processed. The flautas were horrible and had no taste. Had to use my husband's sauce from his barria tacos which were actually pretty good. My sons quesadilla was good but since we added chicken it was twice the normal price. We will not be going back and I hope this was just an off time for them. Not impressed.

In my opinion, the food was disgusting & the service was horrible. If I could rate this place with a zero, I would. I will never come back.

Taco salad: on top of the shell being stale, the ground beef wasn’t drained so the bottom was completely soggy. Fajitas: why Mexican restaurants use Mission style tortillas baffles me. Ruins the whole meal.
