I ordered delivery so I can't rate the customer service. This is my first time eating here and I've lived in Cleburne 6 years. I saw they didn't have a ton of reviews and not a lot of mentions on the breakfast burritos. I had a chorizo, egg and cheese burrito and it was great! The chorizo seemed fresh and wasn't overcooked, It had a nice amount of cheese and my absolute favorite thing, is the TRUE taqueria style green sauce. That seems to be so hard to find around here and for me, is a must have for any authentic Mexican dish. Thank you! I will definitely be back to try other things!
Just moved to Cleburne and found this little jewel off the beaten path. I happen to like Salvadorian food, so I decided to stop by. This place is amazing. Small and intimate setting - almost like you are invited into her home type feel. All the food being served looked really good, but I was inthe mood for a good torta. I ordered the carne asada torta and a drink. The torta really hit - from the fresh bread to the perfectly grilled meat, the sandwich was exactly what I wanted...absolutely delicious. The drinks - they offer many different drinks, but you would be missing out if you did not try their agua frescas they make fresh. I had the watermelon / strawberry and it was extremely refreshing and delicious. Perfect for a hot day. I will be a return customer 100%, and I would highly suggest coming in to have a meal here.
The popusas were delicious and so were the tacos. The drinks are naturally made and not powered so that’s always a plus. Everything was very affordable and the people was very attentive. You must try this place. 🥰
My first visit and I'm extremely impressed. A lot of places claim they have the best food, which I know better to believe that. I've been fooled one too many times. But when you go to a place that serves barbacoa and it doesn't come with tons of grease, you know the cooks know what they're doing. Besides, the food is simply delicious 😋
Recommend by a co-worker. I've been there three days in a row. It's everything you hope for in a "hole in the wall". Reasonable prices and GREAT food. I'm going to have to stop myself from going every day.😋
I have been searching for this exact kind of place close to home for years, and I finally found it! It's a hole in the wall with amazing, authentic food - particularly birria tacos midweek. I tried a pupusa for the first time, and now I don't know if I'm more addicted to quesabirria or pupusas. Well, I can get both here and eat like a queen for less than $15. Day made!
Wow, what a hidden gem! My fiancé and I have been trying to find an authentic pupusa restaurant and this is the one. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all fantastic. Stop by for a delicious meal and wonderful service. We will be back for sure!
Like Pupusas? You will. This place is delicious, friendly and fast. I have never had a Spinach, Jalapeño, and Cheese pupusa until now and we’ll let’s just say…”Yes, please!” This is like having a little piece of El Salvador right here in Cleburne TX. So just check out the menu (pictured) and order up!
I was excited when I saw Pupusas in Cleburne, very few places have them. These were absolutely amazing. I had the chicken and cheese, the just cheese and the jalapeño, spinach and cheese. They were all very flavorful and full of the fillings. I will DEFINITELY be back! The lady who helped me was very nice and they have a nice shaded area to wait for your food and a picnic table to eat at if you're just stopping for a quick bite. Great place!
Lovely little cafe with warm atmosphere and delicious food. Great portion sizes to match the price. Staff is very friendly. All the best!
I have to say that I’m absolutely blown away from my first experience to my most recent visit, Food is great in taste, presentation and hygiene it’s all there. Great customer service.
What a delicious meal! Such good flavor. The salsas are amazing as well.

THIS PLACE IS SO FREAKING GOOD!!!! I live in Burleson and (IMO) they don’t have ANY good South American food here 😅, I wish I had known this place was only 20 mins down the road. I got way too excited and got a papusa, sope, asada taco, and brisket taco and everything was so delicious!! Oh yah, I got a horchata too. I was a little nervous about the cost because I didn’t see any prices posted, but for everything it was only $20. 😊😊 Definitely coming back for more!!
Update: This is an update to a previous review. The price was an accident and they were quick to remedy the issue. Their staff was very helpful and provided great customer service. We love Carmelitas and will continue to support their business. 👍 Always been a fave, but $18 for a breakfast burrito is crazy
Saw this place online and decided to give it a try. Everything was very good. Ingredients tasted fresh. The chicken tamale was wrapped in banana leaves and tastes similar to Honduran tamales (minus the green olives). Green sauce was amazing and spicy. We will definitely be back. I’m very glad I found this place. We devoured our food so I have no pictures. 🤦🏼♀️
the food is amazing, and staff is friendly every time i have gone. no complaints, but only hope they could expand into a bigger building (if they desired) so there’s more room. it feels fairly crowded in there at times but that could just be a personal issue of mine.
This place was top notch from stepping in the door to saying goodbye. They greeted my family as new comers as we arrived and answered all our questions. We had several items from the menu and everyone was highly impressed. The street tacos I had were bomb and I’ll have them again and again! Going back for breakfast probably tomorrow. Forgot to get any pics but will next time. Go. Go now. And thank me later. They even do grub hub or door dash whatever maybe both. Now you have no excuse. You will return and return again and tell all your friends too.

The food was so good. The papusas were fantastic and the birria taco was incredible. The queso papusa was my personal favorite and I liked that the salas were actually spicy! Only complaint is that the papusa on the bottom of thr stack was a little soggy/undercooked so I was unable to eat the middle of it. The inside of thr restaurant was hot so I would definitely recommend getting your meal to-go.
First time here. We got the birria tacos. They were so fresh and good. The consumme was amazing. The staff is very polite. They do a great job. I'll definitely be coming back.
We were working in the area and stopped by after work to try it out. Let me tell you, I will be coming back. It's hard to find places that make good pupusas like my mom makes them. They were really good. I 100% recommend them!
The food is good here! I love their tacos. It's a little takeout place with a drive through window for those who don't want to get out of their car and go inside.

So I am new to the area and I'm trying to find good food so I just stopped by today. The staff was nice but when I got home I was very disappointed about my Carne Guisda. The portion was small and I only had 3 small pieces of meat with lots of potatoes and carrots which I have never had inside of my Carne Guisda before and both of which I do not eat. So a waste of money now I have to go find a main dish to go with my rice and beans. Needless to say I will not be returning to this place.
After seeing all the 5 🌟 reviews and being new to Cleburne we made it point to eat that we are mostly from central America and wanted to eat our traditional food..... let me tell you that I was sadly disappointed...... We ordered 2 platio tipico and a extra cheese popular. We ordered 2 for hats and 1 watermelon and strawberry. The orchard drink was very good. The watermelon and strawberry dink was so insipid.... the chicken tamales were flaky and dry with nearly no chicken and Luke warm ... very bad. The cheese popular were made (in my opinion with extremely low quality cheese which causes the cheese to separate and be watery and not cheesey and stretchy) very badly. My six year old would not even eat them. The mix popusa (chichron and cheese) tasted like refrigerator. The yuca was not fried fully. The only thing that was very delicious were the refried beans and fried plantain.... Very good. I don't know if it was just a bad day for the cook, or as the waiter said that they were extremely busy in the drive - thru. Or what was the problem. I sadness me to write this but needless to say we will never eat there again. I do have to say on the restaurants behalf that we were no charged a single penny for the food....
