Great good, great staff, great prices! Everything was done to perfection. I love a cold salad before a hot meal and their’s was perfectly chilled. The pasta was flavorful and rich. I couldn’t stop eating. Will definitely be back.

We have been coming here for about 3 years for carry out pizza and dine in. Excellent food, very pleasant atmosphere, clean restaurant, this XL Italian sausage pizza is 18" across plus my wife's cheese pizza was $23 and worth every penny! I've also had their chicken parmesan with spaghetti, also worth every penny!

Food made fresh. The vinaigrette salad dressing and marinara sauce were very tasty. Fast & friendly service. Place was very busy - both dine-in and online orders. We were warned by staff before we were seated that pizza would be a longer wait because of how busy they are. We didn’t feel any delay in service with our non-pizza orders. General manager came to each table and apologized for any delay that we may have felt. We told him we didn’t feel a delay but was still offered a 10% discount on our order.

Lunch at this restaurant  left an indelible impression, with the staff's warmth and friendliness creating a truly delightful dining experience. Amazing food. Not sure how anyone rates it under 5 stars. It does say “under new ownership”. Yes, the buildings a bit old but that adds to the character. Great service, great food and the owner personally comes out to check on what you think of the dish you ordered.

Haven't been here since before they closed a few months ago and to say they were not stellar then is an understatement, however they have changed management and hired enough staff to up the service game. Was well taken care of today and food was excellent cook even stopped by the table to be sure everything was good, keep it going.

Driving back from Fossil Rim to Dallas, we stumbled upon Giovanni’s. This was honestly the best restaurant I have been to in all of Texas. The fancy Italian places in Dallas like Carbone and Taverna don’t even hold a candle to Giovanni’s. Bread and butter is absolutely amazing, homemade salad dressing, baked ziti all amazing!! Will honestly probably drive the hour again just for this food. Everyone was so nice too!! 1000/10

Made a reservation for 30 guest and drove by Giovanni daily but had never ate there. Omg I was so surprised with the food, it was beyond excellent. Our server hali was the best server ever to have all of our salads and entrees in a timely manner. If you go to Giovanni ask for hali, she's beautiful and the best. I took my large gaggle of a family here because; 1. I have been searching for an Italian place. 2. My daughter Giovanna said we had to go. Not disappointed. Loved it. The best Italian food i have had in a long time. Portions are large, bread is warm and soft unlike other places. Chicken Alfredo was wonderful, the chicken was actually grilled! Some places the quality of the chicken is sub par at best, but here its on point. All around delicious.

The House Special was wonderful! Grilled chicken was cooked perfectly seasoned & tender. The sauce did not have an overly strong dairy taste, making it easy on the stomach. This is the best atmosphere and Emma was the best waitress her vibe is vibing. The owners come to the table to check on your meal and it's nice to sit and eat the best food. The hostess promptly greeted us at the door with such warm enthusiasm. Although we didn’t have a reservation, she made room for us in a corner table that felt private and cozy. The wait staff were very attentive to our table the entire evening. We were treated us as if we were the only customers in the restaurant, but truth be told, the place was packed. It appeared to us, the staff delivered the same high level of service to the TWO large birthday celebrations across the building. We WILL be going back for sure, and telling all of our friends. 5-⭐️

The Chicken Piccata tonight was outstanding! There was a slight crispy texture to the chicken fillets, there was plenty of lemon butter sauce and just the right amount of capers. But we love everything we get at Giovanni's Cleburne. The Lasagna is the chef's mothers recipe, so light and so delicious. The pizzas are the best in town. You can't go wrong!

This was our second time here. Thr prices are very reasonable. Most entrees included a salad and some thick, buttery rolls. I had the pasta sampler, and while I couldn't tell what I was eating because it was so covered with steaming sauce and melty cheese, it was very flavorful.

After seeing the reviews from various sources we decided to try Giovanni’s. It was AMAZING! We were immediately greeted and had our drink order taken. The staff was friendly and attentive. We got our bread and drinks quickly! We ordered the chicken parm and the eggplant parm and both had side salads with the house dressing! It was phenomenal and the portions were HUGE! As we were eating and raving on what we ordered, we had the opportunity to meet the owner as he made the rounds checking on customers. He was so kind and thanked us for coming. I know the place went through an ownership change and that the original owner is back- I can’t comment on what it was like under previous management… but today was AWESOME and we will be regulars!!

I took my elderly dad and my granddaughter to Giovanni’s for lunch today. It has recently re opened under new ownership and it was delicious!! The kids portion was huge!! They have lunch specials that are nice size servings. We all went home with leftovers. The owner came to our table to see how everything was going. I ordered a gluten free 14” pizza and it was amazing!! If you have not been there in a while or have never been, I recommend you try it!! So good, and clean and friendly staff!

This visit was the first time we’ve been since the re-opening and it was just overall amazing. They provided excellent service, kept our drinks full. Staff treated us like family and loved on our 7 month little girl like they’ve known us for years. It was nice to walk in a restaurant and feel comfortable enough to mistake it for home. Food was served hot and better than we remembered. Will definitely come back, if not every week!

Restaurant visually is not the most inviting but never judge a book by its cover. The service was impeccable. Everyone was checking on me . Chicken Marsala was nice . Will deffinitly be back to try more dishes .

We had lunch it wasn’t super busy but our waitress was great and definitely energetic and out going. You can tell she enjoys her job… she was a mixed younger female… I believe it was Jazmine… great service very attentive and definitely enjoys, making her customers laugh. The food wasn’t the best we’ve ever had there, but it was pretty good. Definitely recommend her if you ever go there.

The bread was a little burnt but not to hard. I got the ravioli lunch special, picture of the ravioli attached. The salad that came with was in a small bowl and was nice, don't have a picture because I was starving at ate it quick haha! The sweet tea was NOT good but the lemonade was wonderful. I'm not sure on pricing due to this being a treat from my parents BUT the Service was excellent, which gives the rating of 4 stars instead of just 3. Now I wouldn't mind eating here again but I'm also not in any rush to.

My daughter and I visited Giovanni’s for the first time tonight. She had the kids spaghetti with meat sauce, which was huge! I ordered a 14” pep/mush pizza and stole a bite or two of her meal. Y’all, hands down the best spaghetti I’ve had. The food was soooo good! My only complaint was that it was quite warm inside. We had a few bites there and took the food to go so we could enjoy it at home where it’s nice and cold. Also, shout out to our server! She assisted my little bundle of sass who just had to have a gumball. Thank you!

I stopped here for lunch as I drive though town. It was not peak hour so I was one of 2 parties in there. I was served promptly by Emma, she was very nice. The service was good, I didn't have to ask for refills or anything else. I ordered lasagna with side salad. I was pleasantly surprised with a very good salad, I was expecting a crappy lil wilted bowl like I have received at other places but it turned out good. The lasagna was good, not the best but I left this place full. I would probably go back if I craved some Italian.

Had their pizza for the first time. Large pepperoni and sausage. For sure a good pizza. Taste...... good amount for the price..... reasonable Baked .......properly Crust...... crispy Over all. 4 stars Almost earned that last star. But I reserve that for extraordinary. Something that was strikingly above and beyond. It is pizza though so maybe not possible. 20 bucks for the pie.

I love Italian food. This place is very good. It was my first time here, and I would definitely come back. I had the Veal Picata great flavor. Not too tangy like some I've had elsewhere. The wife had the Pasata Sampler. I tasted her's and loved the sauce. Had the Strawberry Cheesecake for desert - yummy. You need to give this place a try.

Today we had chicken Alfredo pasta and calzone. The was delicious with a good buttery taste. It was well sauced. The calzone was made to order. It was fresh. The service was good, multiple check ins. When we drove up was not sure but the food was amazing and will return.

Way better than the big name guys! I know the sauce does not actually make the place but it is pretty close. The sauce here is delightful. It is not overpowering. It is light, a little sweet and a little spicy. I did not care for the packages of butter in the same basket as the bread because of the germ factor. The salad was just a bowl of lettuce with one tiny tomato slice. Other than that the food was good and the people were friendly.

Everything was great, our waitress was amazing, the food was good, all in all a great experience especially for my first time being there. Things didn't go downhill until it was time to pay our bill. There was a man their who was wearing an AC/DC shirt, knife on his hip with long hair in a ponytail. He was as rude as rude can be, literally took our bill to a waitress and told her, "I don't have time for this" and he went back to getting ice into a bucket. He almost started a fight in the restaurant, cutting his eyes as us and giving dirty looks, when all we were doing was pay our bill.

I say this sadly as I’ve been coming here since it was Joes, run by Benny. While my families ziti and kids spaghetti were up to par, my shrimp alfredo both smelled and tasted terrible. I had a couple bites of pasta before just giving up on it. And it takes a lot for me to not eat food. Service also left a lot to be desired, despite only 4-5 tables having guests, we were not seen by our waitress for 20 minutes at a time. Unfortunately between the food being inedible, the slow service, and the peak my wife got at a kitchen that appeared unsanitary, this will probably be our last venture to a place ive gone for 25 years

Ordered pizza for the first time at Giovanni's. The crust is absolutely disgusting and there is hardly any sauce on the pizza which makes it even more unbearable to eat the crust ....dry and gross. One of my pizzas had a big hole as well. Not sure what happened there but it was kind of annoying missing part of my pizza that cost over $20 for. I got scraps that were barely edible. I will say the toppings weren't bad but it was hard to enjoy because the body of the pizza was so gross and dry and lacking sauce.

They were out of eggplant, lasagna, calamari, and they didn’t do the gluten free pizza that was on the menu. The shrimp scampi had four pieces of shrimp and the noodles were not seasoned. The server was trying very hard and there was nothing wrong with her. She was quite pleasant. Not coming back here.

Wife and I went to this place about a year ago and it recently changed ownership so we thought we’d give it another chance. It’s still pretty bad.. Ordered a thin crust pizza and it came out with almost no sauce. Asked for some extra pizza sauce and marinara. When it came out, the marinara was a lot better than the sauce but it still couldn’t save the pizza. We did order pasta dish that was decent but overall we won’t be back..

The food was subpar in my opinion. I ordered the chicken Parm and it was ok the pasta that came with had some pretty bland noodles and the pasta sauce was similar to cheap Prego sauce. My gf ordered a veal dish where the sauce was a bit salty and the veal itself reminded me of panda express beef. It wasn't all bad I enjoyed the salad that comes with every entree and the house dressing was pretty good I enjoyed the tomato vinaigrette. Biggest complaint of the night was I was overcharged for a side of cheese bread and mozzarella sticks I never ordered so I went back in to get a refund and paid the correct price. This place used to be good, 2nd time getting terrible pizza and the angel hair and meatballs was almost inedible. The pasta was way overcooked, like double time, to the point it was almost mush. Sauce isn't good anymore and the meatballs are what you would get at a gas station. Done with Giovannis.

I tried to order the Taste of Italy online. I was informed that they didn't have one of the items, but they wouldn't tell me which one. So I tried to order chicken Parm. That was the item they didn't have, so I was rushed to order something else but the person on their app. I chose shrimp scampi because the online menu said it was the same price as what I had ordered. It ended up being $2 more. So we're talking about $22! For one entree! The salad was fine. The bread was awful. Then I opened what was supposed to be shrimp scampi. Y'all it was some boiled shrimp, like 4 of them, on top of a mound of spaghetti with NO SAUCE AT ALL!!! None! It was $22 for a small salad. Nothing else was edible! I am so mad! I am also very hungry. 🙄 You got me with the good reviews. This place was awful. Never ever again!!!!!!

Place was good until my family and I saw the kitchen staff smoking weed outside, smell was all over the parking lot. That explains the undercooked food, or watery pasta… is a nice location, quite enough to enjoy conversations, our server was super attentive, short curly hair girl, I think her name is Genesis, she made sure everything was addressed. Going back is a tough decision due to cooks, God knows under what conditions they are cooking…

I called in an order for the first time in a few years. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich used to be SO GOOD. I was craving one, so I ordered and picked it up. I took it home, got ready to have some amazing food and it was NASTY to say the least. The meat had absolutely no flavor, the veggies had no flavor and it all looked like it had been boiled. Nothing like what I used to get. Before I unwrapped it I had just recommended it to my son in law. I had to send him a text taking that recommendation back quickly. I called the restaurant to let them know. I spoke with a sweet young lady who offered for me to come in and get a refund and apologized. It's changed owners obviously. I'm going to miss that old Philly sandwich. I've recommended it to alot of people over the years, that's how good it WAS. Now, I'm just very very disappointed. Please do better Owner or take it off of the menu. Who doesn't grill the meat and veggies on a Philly? Who doesn't cook with flavor? Just please do better.

As soon as we walked in "manager" stated that he was complained about and for us not to judge him and he'll do better. He took us to the table and started talking irrelevant issues. We heard him talking to the people near us and kept mentioning he was the manager and they are under new owners and claimed they were rated higher than anyone in the state. The bread was doughy. The salad would have been only lettuce if we would not have asked for cheese. The waitress mentioned it having cucumber but didn't. I ordered the pasta sampler but the sauce was too sweet. And while we were paying the manager asked us if the food was okay and we didn't look very happy then started to talk about his last name knowing that we wanted leave. I did not like it at all. I'll never go back.

Called to place a take out order. Lady was rude on the phone, it was as if she didn’t want me to call and place and order at all. Anyways I was very specific about my order. How do you mess up a pepperoni pizza and two Alfredo dishes? Neither pasta dish had any sauce NONE The pasta was crunchy and undercooked in the same dish, how?? My was doughy and way too heavy with cheese. There was barely any pepperoni laid out, and the slices weren’t even cut thru completely. When I called to get my order resolved, I was rudely told to wait and who ever answered just left the phone down and never got back to me. I heard the phone get hung up. When I called back again they did the same damn thing. I’ve been hearing many locals noting how the quality has gone WAY downhill recently I didn’t believe it till now. As for me. I’ll just hit up Olive Garden with their take out pasta. At least I can score some free and BETTER bread with it too lol 😂

Best pizza I’ve had since moved to Texas from New York 30 years ago. My original review from 2022 was 5 stars. Based on my most recent visit, I have to drop it to 1 star. Not sure what happened but the quality of the food and the service have really gone downhill in the past year to the point it was, frankly, horrible. The mozzarella they used on the pizza was super cheap so the pizza was watery. They didn’t have half the items on the menu. The woman who waited on us had a terrible attitude and took forever to take our order and bring our drinks. Never did get a refill once we received them. A friend and I used to be regulars but my friend has said they will never return and I’m at the same point. It’s a shame because it used to be such a great restaurant.

We went in last night for my husband’s birthday. They told us to seat ourselves. So we did. And we were never waited on. 3 groups of people came in after us. We were never given a menu. I’ve had their food before. And we’ve eaten there before. But I’ve never been treated like this before.

We was seated immediately, they took our order and then they forgot to turn it in , we asked about our food after 45 minutes of waiting and then I saw our waitress turn it in. I asked what was going on and they said she forgot to turn it in and then said it was because she was new there ! They didn’t try to make it right until I left , then they tried to make us wait for our food again , I don’t think so. !!!! Been there a few times before, food is ok , nothing to brag about, but the service is very bad !!!!

I ordered pizza and pasta to-go today. When I got there, they said pizza was burned, so I had to wait for a new one. Got home, and the bottom of the new pizza was burned. Paid extra for meat sauce on the pasta and got regular sauce... Won't be going there anymore

Obviously they are under new ownership. Placed an order for pickup. The rolls were burned. One of the salads was pitiful. The girl checking me out was very rude and just didn’t care. Last time coming here.

I ordered a chicken picata, it looked like day old chicken. It was tough. The plate was filled with majority unseasoned noodles and there was no sauce. Did not taste good at all. I took a bite and wasted the rest. Lasagna was edible, but i will not order again. What a disappointment after a long work day.
