Red, the Steakhouse Cleveland

It has been a very long time since we had a dinner out done this well! Unbelievable how well executed the meal and the timing of the meal! Very relaxing to simply have an absolutely stunning steak and sides! We knew when the salad served was amazing that we were in for a real treat! Leah our server did an outstanding job with answering questions and interacting with us that made us feel very welcome! Thank you all for an absolute stellar experience!

Excellent Experience!! I’ve been to a few Steakhouses around the world actually, mostly by far here in our USofA! This is a strong Yes! I ordered the C.A.B. fillet (Certified Angus Beef). Not the CAB Prime. Ordered it MW and added a lobster tail. We also ordered the Mushrooms & Onions , Broccolini & Double Crispy Fingerlings or such. Steak: Truly quite delicious and allllmost perfectly prepared. There was a little too much grey on one side of the fillet, but very forgivable since it was the last few bites. Otherwise very nice and flavorful cut with some simple but effective seasoning (simply to enhance the natural steak flavor, not to overpower it). Lobster: The tail was also very good. I would have preferred it to have SOME seasoning on it, but really no complaints at all. It was cooked correctly, not dry and accompanied with the butter bath. Very enjoyable! Accompaniments: The M&Os were AMAZING!! You know that for me Flavor is King!, and these were absolutely and literally bursting with flavor, like butter salted garlic flavored StarBurst candy, but not, but Better! I had to take a bite of steak with a bite of ‘shrooms (two kinds)! So much joy in each nibble. Potato things were good to decent. Nothing impressive about them. The name sounded better than they tasted, but not bad mind you. Broccolini I did not even try. No space. I had to make choices, and the broccolini got voted off the island in this case, but I’m certain it was good. Oh, I forgot to mention the Wedge Salad. Super delicious!!! Perfect amount of dressing and bacon and wedge and blue cheese. One of the best wedgies I’ve had. Atmosphere was nice. Nothing necessarily memorable, just kinda there. No complaints though. Server was good … like the atmosphere, nothing impressive and had slightly better than no personality, but not rude and courteous so that’s a plus. I had the Donut Holes for dessert. They were okay. Toooo much powdered sugar for me … in fact, I didn’t recall reading it had that, but whatever. I ate 3 out of 4, out of principle. I’d say GET Some!!! Oh, but be ready to smash down $100+ pp with a salad and some drink. But Get Some!

We were here for my birthday 🎂 dinner! Red's is my favorite local steakhouse and I am NEVER disappointed because they never disappoint! The server was amazing! Our "water guy" would weirdly only refill 3 out of our 4 glasses but we weren't drowning ourselves with water. It was just odd. The bread with the cheese/oil mix is superb. I love that stuff. I could go for only that but I'd regret it soon afterwards because I love it all. I think we all ordered steaks and our sides were mac-n-cheese, Brussel sprouts, and green beans. Everything was good. Im not a fan of sprouts so I can't speak to how they tasted. Everything I tasted was cooked to perfection. The way they season steaks, you don't need sauce. The steak alone is amazing.

I wanted to introduce my employees the difference between an average home cooked steak and a high end steakhouse. None of them had ever had anything more than a basic Texas Roadhouse or Sizzler steak. Each one of them mentioned this was the best steak they ever had. It was definitely at the top for me and they had a very nice variety of desserts.

My husband loves a good steak, and this place did not disappoint. We walked here after a Guardians game and had a great dinner and service experience. My salmon was cooked to perfection, as was his steak. The Red House salad was delicious as well. For dessert we had a simple scoop of vanilla ice cream that is made in-house - yum! We opted for a booth in the bar, and it was a fun and lively atmosphere during the Kentucky Derby, but nothing over the top. We don't live in Cleveland, but I'd go back anytime we're in town!

5 star experience all around, Amanda our server was knowledgeable & attentive. My husband and I shared a larger porter house probably one of the best steaks we’ve ever had in a restaurant, cooked perfectly. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their dinner, would definitely return!

It's one of the best steakhouses I have ever eaten at. We went in to have drinks at the bar, then decided to eat right there. OMG! All the food was cooked perfectly. Steak, shrimp, lobster. The drinks were spot on. The bartenders were very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I will be back for sure. Spread the word.

The service was very good, and the food was even better. It was hands down the best 16 oz ribeye I'd ever had. The portions of sides are also tremendous. We would definitely recommend RED Steakhouse!

Best steak in my life. Servers are amazing and polite. I'm really nobody but they treat you like your special. That's how service should be! I am always wowed. Seriously best steak. Seasoned amazingly and seared to perfection. Wife says the rack of lamb is best she's had as well. Good mac n cheese. Great drinks. Desserts change. I once had a chocolate tart with earl grey custard. It was amazing. Creme brulee on another visit was satisfying. Love whiskey. Eating here is worth every penny.

So me and my girlfriend came into town this weekend and I found this place for her. Food was very tasty flavorful. I never had a graded three cheese dipping blend and olive oil that was amazing. Oysters and shrimp was off the hook for appetizer sesame seed tuna was insane with flavor and I'm not a cucumber fan but man the cucumber and the pickle Ginger with the tuna was amazing

I'm not usually a fan of places that label themselves as "steakhouses" because they usually serve what is basically a large piece of hot meat. However, I had a pleasantly different experience at Red. The menu is varied if you're not in the mood for steak, but I came for steak and steak - in the form of a CAB filet - is what I had, despite the other temptations. It was EXCELLENT! They keep the seasoning simple, and although they offer a variety of sauces and toppings, let's face it - if you need that stuff, the steak isn't good or steak just isn't your thing. Anyway, I eschewed all of that and just had it as prepared and throughly enjoyed it. Michelle was a WONDERFUL server, the other buss staff were amiable and efficient , and I had a very satisfying g experience. A delicious cocktail and lavender cheesecake bookended the meal, and I can't wait to come back!

The food was tremendous and the service was prompt and professional.

Would’ve taken more/better photos, but the food was so good phone couldn’t eat first 🤭 All around great experience. Showed up with 5 guests and only had a reaervation for 4, so we waited near the bar while the staff graciously accommodated us. Authentic, classic vibe throughout the restaurant. Tables are well spaced and hearing the people at your table isn’t an issue. Drinks were outstanding. Service was personable and detailed. Every item we ordered was a hit. My favorites were the crab cakes and potatoes au gratin. Expensive but not outrageous for the experience.

Nice little happy hour on a Friday night on the rooftop. Great drinks. Great antipasto plate. We’d come back for dinner. Note: we’ve had dinner before but at another location. They used to have a location in Pittsburgh. It was very good as well which is why we knew a bit of a HH situation would be great in CLE.

Drinks were under filled, but food was very good. Steaks cooked perfectly. Calamari was delicious. The Bloody Mary Mozzarella salad was really unique and a great dish.

Great food, amazing service. We came out here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. I had the lamb, my wife had salmon, both were cooked to a perfect medium. We had the Italian sausage stuffed hot peppers which was super delicious. Our dessert was in the house and it was very good too. Overall I highly recommend coming out here. It was not the cheapest visit but at this place I'd say we got our money's worth.

Food was delicious overall, steaks were made as ordered, mac & cheese was a little burned but still good, iceberg wedge salad was delicious. The vibes were okay but I guess I expected fancier vibes. Pricey as expected.

Or waiter Damon was amazing, knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining. His food recommendations and knowledge of the food was phenomenal. The tomahawk pork chop was spectacular, it was so good we went back the next day to have it again! If you are looking for a great place to eat in downtown Cleveland, RED is your place! 5 stars for everything!

Had a really great experience at Red the Steakhouse downtown last week. Celebrated our anniversary. From the excellent drinks to our steaks, sides served family style and dessert, everything was impeccable. If you want to enjoy a gourmet steak dinner in a casual, yet professional setting, this is it. Highly recommend.

We had one of the best steak dinners we have ever had! Our server, Damon had impeccable service and knowledge of the menu. Highly recommend this upscale food and service. Only downfall was the dining room was very loud and was hard to hear/talk with the person across from me without raising my voice (which just added to the noise level) and takes away from the “upscale” restaurant feel.

This was our first time to Red in Cleveland and we loved everything about our dining experience. Service was professional and top notch. Steaks were the best we have had in a very long time, with seasoning that was exceptional. Add in the family style side dishes and donut holes and sauces for dessert, we had a perfect dining experience. We will definitely return when in downtown Cleveland! Sorry we had not tried it on previous trips but we will not make that mistake again.

Service was great and the specials were specials. Probably the best Filet I have ever had. It was quite cold, the door kept being left open and bringing the temp down

The biggest compliment I feel I can give to a place is to say I can't wait to go back. This place is definitely on my short list. Thank you to the staff for such a wonderful experience.

Really good food. Service was a little slow. It's a smaller place so the noise level gets to the point where you practically have to talk loud to hear each other over the sound of everyone else talking.

Got the ribeye and wife got the muscles. The atmosphere seems a tad bit dated to me. Sorta felt like a really cutting edge modern look from the late 90’s. It’s not bad or anything don’t get me wrong. It’s just place could use a more modern style is all. The steak was excellent. I didnt get any toppings or anything. Just the steak as is. It’s one of the best steaks Ive ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Has a bit of garlic and rosemary in there. ALMOST reminiscent of a prime rib type of seasoning. Really good crust and smoke on it. My wife said the muscles were great, but about half of them didn’t open which was disappointing. Over all the steak is absolutely SOLID!

My son loved the steak. I had some type of pasta with sausage. For the price of the pasta I would have expected more sausage in it. I was excited for all the non-steak options. Usually when we visit steak places there’s only one dish for me to choose. Donut dessert was yum! Service was excellent!

Very good bar and restaurant. The ambience is chic and appealing. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous. The food is varied and of high quality. There is also a good selection of wine and beer. We felt very comfortable. Highly recommended.

We went here for our Daughter in Loves Birthday dinner. The service was Awesome and very friendly. When we got finally after our party arrived. The drink were really good. The food we ordered was very very good. Red Steakhouse is doing something right and putting out really good food. I highly suggest you get the Rack of Lamb with the Whipple Potatoes and Green Beans. Keep up the good job Red Steakhouse. We will definitely be back for dinner.

Started with delicious Appetizers,(outstanding) oysters were amazing, shrimps 🍤 were plump flavor of the sauce terrific! Our server was outstanding and diligence, attention to detail and courteous. The party I was with all had something different the porterhouse bone in was good and not excellent, but good. The asparagus was missing something, served chilled. Ok. The desert was Outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful time. Atmosphere of the establishment was clean, and customer centric. I recommend visiting for any occasion. 👏 👏 👏

Pricey location so super high expectations. The sides are better than the main dishes. The steak was just average. (We eat a lot of steak at a lot of different levels of establishments). Scallops and crab cakes were great.

Atmosphere was good for business or romance. Calamari was great and they have an extensive wine list. Ordered prime filet and the meat was good but seasoned too much with salt and way over priced. Vegas prices in Cleveland is not a good business strategy. Mac and cheese was good but broccolini was also too salty. Had the wedge salad and it was watery and didn't include blue cheese dressing just the crumbles- odd.

We ordered prime, Mac and cheese and broccoli, they all were over spiced, meaning they had similar flavors and your taste buds will quickly realize it. Even the waitress said, I don't know why they do that all the time, meaning it's not a first. The filet was cooked perfectly, unfortunately my guest I took all said it was just two spicy. Crab cakes were delicious.

First I’ll start with the good part about our experience at RED. Our server was very congenial and that was about where the good ended. The cons: The booth we were in was FILTHY! (Refer to photos) It was like they hadn’t cleaned it in a long time. We had five flies and two gnats at our table. We were able to kill one of each which was nasty. We had made a reservation but ended up being seated in the corner of the bar area instead of the dining room. The bar area was loud and not the romantic/date night vibe we were hoping for when going to a high end steakhouse. The charcuterie board appetizer - we had no clue what was on it and the menu didn’t specify The calamari appetizer - the calamari was soft when you bit into. For entrees, my husband and I both got the 8oz filets. He ordered his with the au pouvre topping and his filet came out burnt. It also was fatty on the inside. Both filets were extremely small and were not the size we typically see when ordering an 8 oz filet at steakhouses. I had ordered my entree “surf and turf” style with the crab cakes. This was an extra $20. Two crab cakes came and they were the smallest crab cakes I have ever seen. Also they didn’t come with any type of sauce/remoulade which I’ve never seen before either. It just came with a cut lemon inside a baggie. Mac n cheese side dish - was burnt on the top in places and had a weird seafood taste to it even though it didn’t have seafood in it Au gratin potatoes side dish - the potatoes were hard which makes us think they were undercooked Creamed corn - this was noted as a special side dish that they were offering. It tasted like canned corn that had ritz crackers crushed on top of it For over a $300 bill after tip, this entire experience was completely underwhelming and down right disappointing. We will likely not be returning to RED unless someone else wants to go. In the event that happens, we will try and dissuade them into going there and go to somewhere such as the marble room instead.

Service was horrible. The waiter didn’t explain the menu or didn’t know the menu or drinks. We had to ask for the dessert and drink menu. The food was decent and way over price the atmosphere was loud and the room temp was horrible. The table cloth smelled like it wasn't dried completely so it had this odor. For the price it is not worth it go to Marble room restaurant if you want good food, service and classy atmosphere.

We have come here a few times a year for over a decade. It's never been a world-class steakhouse, but its always good, and sometimes excellent. I asked her to marry me at the bar here, we thought so highly of it. Tonight, we were placed upstairs, in some converted conference room, which changed the atmosphere entirely from sophisticated but energetic, to pulseless and uninteresting. I already felt like apologizing to my wife, and was regretful for not saying something, but I didnt, and that's on me. We were treated to slow drinks, but a reasonable server. Appetizers and salads took a long while, but they arrived. The shrimps were soft and fishy, but not horrible, and the salads were limp and the dressing watery. The steaks were unacceaptbale. I mean, anyone could do better with average meat at home. Not cooked to order and full of grizzle/fat. My wife's filet, ordered medium rare, was served more blue than rare, and when we sent it back, it was returned to us, SAME steak, SAME knife-cut to initially try it, but now dark and rubbery. The asparagus and mushrooms looked like they had been served from someone else's leftovers, aspargus limp, and browned, with the mushrooms and onion side (which we have previously relished) with near-raw oninos and galvanized mushrooms. Other than the quality of the drinks, which were excellent, although not timely, I would rather have stayed home. We were comped the steaks and sides, but charged for the drinks and apps. At the time, I was satisfied, but to think that my wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary, and were met with such poor quality, whilst having drinks and subpar apps awaiting a fine meal, I am increasingly upset I did not ask for a full comp. This was the most disappointing dining experience we have had in Cleveland for a long while. Do not recommend. Marble Room for us from now on.

We went to Red’s for our 6th Anniversary. It was our first time as we normally go to the Marble room. Everyone was extremely nice. The food was delicious but mid meal I end up having to go to the bathroom because I got sick(4times!) very upsetting since it is definitely not cheap. I couldn’t even finish my steak and lobster. I was also a little bit disappointed because our anniversary wasn’t even mentioned by anyone there.

DO NOT COME HERE WITH A PARTY OVER 4. We came in for my son’s birthday and waited about 40 minutes before we could actually order because our server knew they were getting that gratuity so they didn’t have to put effort in. Nicole was very attentive to other tables with smaller parties. We didn’t even get bread out until an hour after we arrived. She said they just came out of the oven but the bread was cold and hard. All in all we were at this place for 2 1/2 hours when we didn’t need to be and had other plans. The manager tried making it right but it seemed to just annoyed the waitress further. Finally got our food out close to an hour and a half from arrival. The steak was very salty but cooked correctly, these tater tots they brought out were very mushy and just tasted like onions. The whipped potatoes were decent and the fondue was good. If asked to go again, I’d pass. This is overpriced for the service provided. Thank you to the manager for trying to help, that was really the only positive experience.

Very disappointed in my experience. Had a reservation at 5:15. Got there at 4:55 and was seated immediately. Waiter was pleasant and professional. Got our drinks within 10 minutes. We ordered our entire meal (appetizer and main course) at 5:10. Appetizer was served at 5:20. Several times over the next 30 minutes, a bus boy or our waiter asked if we were done with the appetizer even though there was still some left. Finally, at 6:00, the waiter asked again if we were done and we say yes. He then said “ok, I’ll go ahead and put your meal order in”. What?!?!?! We ordered it 50 minutes ago?!?!? He then said the kitchen is backed up so it’s gonna take some time because the kitchen is backed up. He also knew we were gong to the concert next door and said we’d make it in plenty of time. Wrong. 20 minutes later he said it would be another 15 minutes. I said absolutely not. Cancel my order we are leaving. Why would you not tell me you weren’t going to put my order in when I ordered it? Who does that? And if you’re going to do the that, why wouldn’t you let me know the plan or atleast give me the option of when the food was ordered? And the waiter even knew we were going to the show next door. I was very excited to enjoy a nice, exquisite meal from a place I had heard good things about. I will not be returning
