Dinner with family! We chose this restaurant because we hadn't been before. It was incredibly perfect from start to finish! I opted (off the menu) for the red tagliatelle with shellfish sauce (divine)... my 9-year-old son chose the ravioli stuffed with octopus and potatoes with seafood sauce (fantastic)... my husband and my other son chose the mussels and fried anchovies. These dishes were also delicious! The staff was friendly and the service was fast... I highly recommend them!

The outside is so confusing, I wouldn't have been tempted to try this place. We stopped because it was raining and it was close to the beach. The dishes are excellently prepared (you need to be more specific about the type of pasta offered, since I ordered spaghetti and it was the chitarra version) and beautifully presented with very good ingredients. The service is good and courteous, but they messed up my first course, which was supposed to have anchovies; instead, it came with seafood. The outside area overlooks the Aurelia, so if there's traffic, you can smell exhaust fumes.

Honestly, we got so lucky that this restaurant was open and welcomed us. The reviews on Google are breathtakingly unfair. The service is by a local family, beloved by the locals, and yet absolutely welcoming to us as foreigners. We speak no Italian, yet our hostess was willing to help us in English and even gave us excellent recommendations on food and wine. Speaking of which, both were excellent. The fish was absolutely fresh and perfectly cooked. The mussels they served had the perfect consistency and not gritty at all. The wine was perfectly paired with both and we really appreciated that it came from a local winery. They also had local cakes that absolutely hit the spot. When we visit again, we will definitely visit again!

3.8 stars is criminally low. We had a variety of dishes, _all_ were excellent. The table service was top-notch. Ignore the low ratings.
