2026 subway is so back
As far as subways go, this one's pretty good! The store is right in front of a bus route for people traveling long distances, so this is often their closest source of food on the trip. Which means that the employees there can definitely handle a rush, because they'll get a lot of customers all at once. So if you see the bus there? It's probably packed. Otherwise the employees are very friendly, very nice, and very patient as they see all types.
I've never stayed there to eat, and usually order online but from my car so that I can get the points and small little discounts after buying so many sandwiches. Lol but the sandwich chefs (Lol) do a really good job in the sandwiches are all tasty as you'd expect at any subway. They never have a problem toasting my bread twice, as I prefer to have it toasted before things are put on and then toasted again. After meat and cheese is put on. I like to have them load up my sandwiches with mustard and mayo and salt, pepper, vinegar, oil and oregano, and I find that the sandwich holds up better during transport if it's toasted twice. Just an FYI, since before I started doing this, by the time I got home the sandwich was somewhat mushy. Toasting it double takes away that issue because the bread itself is toasted before anything else goes on it. It's also much crunchier, but not hard at all. It creates a much more delicious sandwich, I think. So try having them toast your bread before they put anything on it and then toast it again after they put the cheese on, and I think you'll really enjoy the texture of it!
The 2 employees (1 new young man and one seasoned young lady) were efficient and incredibly personable!! Awesome sandwich and a few laughs ... Enjoyed this location very much!! Thank you, Donald Church
The food was so delicious oh my god it felt like it came from heaven. there was a nice dude working there and I gave him a $5 tip. The bathroom was very clean and everything was nice
I didn’t catch the name of the blonde woman working, but she was efficient and loaded up my sandwich with veggies. Will definitely be back

I travel a lot and eat out a lot. This Subway is near my doctors office. I stop here for a healthy sandwich after I have fasted for lab work. Its a clean establishment. The food is fresh.

At this location I couldn’t work with my laptop. I couldn’t use wifi. I couldn’t remember what I wanted to eat. I forgot everything staring at the beautiful princess girl that works there! Her smile is awesome, her voice is magical! (And obviously she cooks well.) So, if you want to feel yourself twenty years younger - when life priorities were different, and adulthood was something we were afraid of - welcome! Oh yes, and sandwiches were good! LOL

Update (11-26-23) — put the 5 stars back, because the guy (manager maybe?) that gives super small portions (even if order a double) hasn’t been working — and it is one of the better Subways, especially if order through app for coupon codes. Update (11-11-23) — 1 star, newest photo: They quit adding double meat even if you pay for it. Only get proper portions when certain people are working. Previous review was 5 stars (first two photos): I’m not normally a huge Subway fan, but this is definitely one of the better locations. I recommend making it a double and you get better deals via app ordering!
Stopped because I was hungry and now I'm sad I dont live closer. The first subway to toast my sandwich as much as I like. Staff was quick, helpful and very kind. Dining room was clean as were bathrooms. Was a little busy but they took care of their customers in a timely manner.

We stopped in around 7 pm. Really appreciated that they accepted a coupon for specific sandwiches. The bread was deliciously fresh. The sandwich was made well and the preparer was very nice. There was outside seating, too. Driving from Tahoe, it was a great place to stop; my wife is a nervous passenger and she knew it was best to take a break. We used to stop at a less healthy fast food place, but we felt good about having our vegetables here instead.

6/7/23 went to get a sandwich on my way home. There was a younger kid who made my day. He was so kind and pleasant. My sandwich was so good, he perfected it and genuinely cares about his work. Great job hard to find good workers let alone nice genuine people. Subway give him a raise
This is hands down the best subway I’ve ever been to. Clean, efficient, and delicious. While most subways leave something to be desired, the special touches of avocado slices (in place of that strange avo-sauce most Subways try to pass off as guacamole), the charming outdoor seating, and the thoughtful curb appeal left me satisfied and happy to have stopped by. Will be sure to stop again!

Nice place, nice food, guy can be a little stingey about bathroom use but as far as I know, he still lets you use it. Understandable tbh
Subway is a subway, it's always good. The boss himself was behind the counter, serving sandwiches, he wasn't too happy. Probably had a bad day.
For Subway which my family likes this was a good one. Fast courteous service. Food was fresh and tasty. As we travel this great country of ours in our fifth wheel RV we have been to many a Subway. This one was a nice change.

Everything was good at this Subway: service, sandwich, clean table. It's conveniently located near the on-ramp to I- 80. The downside was that their bathroom was out of order.
They accept the coupons and they are pretty fast this is right next to the Greyhound drop-off point so they are pretty fast at making your 🥪
This place is hopping. Probably because it's the only restaurant open past 3pm in the sleepy town of colfax. They move through people fast here though. The prices at subway are always great. For $6 you can get a six inch sub, chips, and a drink. I recommend the chicken teriyaki on honey oat. Not much for ambiance, in case you were wondering. We passed by the trash left right by the door, assuming it was about to be taken out... But its a fast food joint. What can you expext.
Covid distance measures in place, staff wore masks, not posted as mandatory for customers. Good service and above par subway food. A local go to when needing a good filling meal.
Fairly standard Subway but the person who made my Sub respected my meat allergy and the cross contamination was not bad enough to force me to eat elsewhere. So definitely one of the better ones.

Staff are exceptional, but the atmosphere was below par. Doesn't offer veteran nor senior discounts.
I have very mixed feelings about Subway nowadays. I have always loved the fresh baked bread and I love that I can get extra extra vinegar with no oil and no other seasonings in it. I'm not a fan of a lot of meat on my sandwich anyway which is a good thing because they are by far the skimpiest of all your popular franchise sandwich shops. I love my cheese though so they get me for a $2 extra for double cheese on a footlong. I would love to have avocado as well but that's at least an extra $2 for a FL. First and foremost I cannot believe the outrageous prices that are being charged for a sandwich. I got 2 footlong sandwiches and 1 large soda and my total was $30?!? The days of a $5 Footlong are long gone apparently. 🥺 $15 for a sandwich is ridiculous!
Quality of food and workers in this location need a lot of help. Pastrami very fatty sandwich was poorly made. I felt like the workers were forced to be there. Way over priced. This location won't last if they don't change there food and atmosphere real quick.
Sandwich was good. Don't expect a 5 dollar footlong. Expect a 17.00 footlong. Insane. Jared would have lost even more weight today because he wouldn't have be able to afford to eat here
Dear Subway management because an extremely rude employee (Oct. 17, 2022, 2:50 pm) who was at the register my family of 4 will no longer visit your restaurant. She rolled her eyes several times and was shaking her head in disgust because I chose to get my money back because I did not like the substitute bread for my sandwich. I ordered through the app which I have now deleted. And 9 out of 10 times the french roll is stale as it was today.
The guest in front of me complained of the brown lettuce, so the employee/manager grudgingly got a new box. But then put it away when it was my turn to order. Needless to say, I skipped the lettuce. Prices are high (from what I am use to but maybe standard in that area).
Horrible Subway place and experience. Let me start with the fact that there were meat pieces in the cheese container. Sharing this to my vegetarian friends. Stay away from this place. Staff have a don't care attitude, hardly put any veggies, or sauces. Since we made multiple orders, they didn't bother to write numbers even after asking them to write it down so we could distinguish them from the wrapper. Same experience with my friends as well. On top of that, the default tip option is 15%. What a joke this place is. I would not recommend this Subway location to anyone.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Super rude. Restaurant was filthy. Expensive. Management must not give a shit. Doubt they have any return customers.

0 stars if it was available The absolute worst experience I've ever had first off the staff is a bunch of high school kids that have had every thing handed to them there whole life by there rich parents and had no choice but to get a summer job Were inconsiderate, and very rude. The sandwiches that were supposed to be hot toasted sandwiches were cold sandwiches. There so called baked daily fresh bread was day old at best.... Not recommended at all. Drive around the corner to McDonalds at least they know the meaning of good customer service......
Today I ordered two basic sandwhiches on the subway app and they couldn't get it right. I got items on my sandwhich I didn't ask for and they didn't give me the right kind of chicken. I'm very disappointed with this location. This subway is much more convient for me because I live so close, but my next trip will definitely be in auburn.

I will not be back again way overpriced..,UDATE: after I ate the sandwich my stomach started to hurt and I ended up having to buy a bottle of Pepto and I cannot stay out the bathroom OMG🤨

We ordered two foot long tuna and a 6 inch veggie but the employees didn't ask as what kind of bread, any cheese, meat, toast or not, Just standing and we told herb and cheese bread with provolone cheese and they just toasted then i asked we have not put any meat yet and they put the tuna and re toasted, bread was so hard. Iam glad we had prior years of Subway franchise business so we knew, just imagine if someone didn't know about Subway. Please train your employees.

This place is nasty as hell. The gentleman that worked there came out of the bathroom without washing his hands and then proceeded to make sandwiches for customers. I know this because when I entered the bathroom as he was leaving it, there were no liners, toilet paper, soap or paper towels. I left disgusted and did not order.
We went on Saturday may 18th at around 11:30am. The employee was SUPER rude to my boyfriend and didn't communicate with him. She also thought that white and sourdough bread were the same. Our small sandwiches and 1 drink were $47. I thought that all shops in Colfax were nice, but we will NEVER eat at this subway again and will not recommend this shop to anyone. Truthfully, a small family shop would be much better than this Subway. The manager really needs to have a talk with this employee. - New Colfax Resident

Wife's cheesesteak caused her extreme gastro pain for hours. You can no longer watch them make the sub either, there is metal shield in the way so was not transparent to get reassurance made well.
