Everyone was so nice Janice was a great help to my brother and I. The brunch menu was great everything was so fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend getting the fruit salad. The raspberry compote was delicious and perfectly paired with waffles.

It’s been a pleasure to visit this place! On a vacation from Texas. The service was amazing! We reserved a table for 5 and were welcomed with a smile. Kate took very good care of us and everyone was satisfied with their food orders. Visit here when you enter the Springs!

Lumen8 Rooftop Social is located at the shared rooftop for Element Hotel and Springhill Suites. The space looks amazing at night and the views are just beautiful. The photos and videos don’t do justice. The ambiance is definitely right up my alley. Walking in, the wait staff and servers were very friendly and welcoming. The cocktail bar was brightly lit and the dining space looked beautiful. My friend and I decided to check this out on the last night we were in Colorado Springs. The kitchen was already closed but we were able to order some drinks, and stayed a little past closing time to capture photos of the rooftop space. I can only imagine how gorgeous the mountains looked during the day. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to enjoy the crisp night air and beautiful ambiance, surrounded by tabletop fire pits, and great music, and strong drinks!

So this is a too tier fancy spot with a view that is worth the drink prices!!! Customer service was ON POINT!! We were a large group of 14 and they made easy work of getting us in. While it was fancy they were also relaxed enough that our jeans and hoodies weren't looked at twice. The drinks were good espresso martini well made and powerful. Lavender martini is very sweet and for some they needed up with a second round. A version of a Moscow mule that the green chili mule that eas decent but a little small. With options of Guinness that a lot of the guys enjoyed. The food is pricey but it is nest options and a short menu to make these options capable. The boar and pasta was very good and the boar was well cooked. One of our guys said the secret sauce on his sandwich was the best he had in a long time. The steak was cooked perfectly well seasoned and a good size!! The gorgonzola cream on it was a standout! But the beef dish of the night. Their fried green beans. Perfect they were PERFECT!!! we devoured those fries in minutes. The aioli was amazing!!! Overall the atmosphere, customer service and food made this place good but combined with the view it TRULY stands out.

My husband and I enjoyed a kid free date night and I am SO glad he chose Lumen. From the moment we walked in we knew it would be a great experience. The hostess immediately greeted us and was transparent about outdoor seating with the incoming storm. We appreciated her transparency and the fact she provided us options. I so wish I remembered our waiters name but he was amazing. I wish I knew why, but service these days seems to be declining, and he was absolutely refreshing. He was friendly, attentive, had great recommendations. The food was above our expectations. My husband and I spilt the trout dip and charcuterie board. Both were super big portions and did not disappoint. I ordered the Thai curry mussels which were fresh, the perfect amount of spice and a huge portion. My husband ordered the salmon which was also a huge portion and well cooked. We will definitely be back again! Way to go Lumen! Thanks for giving us a fun and elevated dining experience!

Newly open restaurant in Colorado Springs. We were lucky to find a table, making a reservation is highly recommended. Seems like everybody wants to eat here. Food was very good, we got carried away and ordered way too much. The entrees are so big, you don’t really need a side. The cheese and chacuterie board was big and yummy. The salmon was very good, the risotto (which is a side) was excellent and very big. Will be back!

Well this is a great add for Colorado Springs. The patio area is amazing! It was too cold to enjoy it the night we went but it will be outstanding in good weather. The views are incredible, the food was great, and the service was good. We'll go back for sure. One note for newbies... only one elevator goes to the restaurant and there are three different elevators in different locations that are color coded. Make sure to find the right one which is purple. Also, they validate a portion of your parking ticket if you use the underground parking so it still cost us to park there, but not the full amount.

Such a fun and beautiful place, classy and unique. We visited on 2/15 to celebrate a birthday and it exceeded our expectations. Tracey was our server and she was amazing, really made our night. Our food was delicious and portions were fair plus our fruit cobbler desert topped it all off. Very impressed and highly recommend it for date nights, girl nights or when you want to go for a nice dinner.

I’ve been coming to Lumen8 since they first opened, and I truly have zero complaints. The food is always worth the cost — high quality, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I love that they offer so many options, from shareables to handhelds, so there’s something for everyone no matter what you’re in the mood for. For dinner, I’ve had the chicken parmigiana, the fish and chips, and one of my personal favorites — the ahi poke salad. Their cocktails are also really good if you’re coming in for dinner. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently delicious. Recently, I discovered they have a breakfast menu, and I’m obsessed. The Elvis French Toast is amazing — I’ve been coming back just for that ever since I found out about it. Janice has always been such a highlight for me. She is kind, welcoming, and truly takes care of customers in the most genuine way. She really stands out and it’s always a pleasure to see her. Today Evans took care of me and he was also amazing — attentive, friendly, and made the experience just as great. The staff here really makes you want to keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Such a lovely place to celebrate an anniversary Cant wait to do it again! The staff was AWESOME, each of them wishing us a happy anniversary and being so kind. They answered every question we had about the menu, offered us complimentary items, and even took our picture on the rooftop! The food was pricey, but well worth it! Save room for a dessert! The rooftop area is beautiful, warm, and I highly recommend! Also huge shout-out to Joe and Connor for constantly checking in and being so kind!!

They recently changed the menu, and it looks nice, I had the waffles and my husband had eggs Benedict, which we both enjoyed very much. It’s a really great and upscale vibe but also inexpensive. The service was excellent. The view was immaculate. Food tasted amazing. We will be coming back with friends and family! :)

Lovely rooftop restaurant. Cocktails were great...and they're definitely not stingy on the liquor! We had Fall Foliage and Espresso Martinis. I had the Eggs Benedict, which was very tasty! Lovely view of the mountains as well. Thanks to our waiter Evan for a great dining experience!

I was just there with my best friend last Saturday. I was visiting from Nebraska. I really enjoyed the beautiful view. Our server was very nice! I wish I could remember her name. Would definitely visit again!

We had the best experience! Thank you to Emery for being attentive and helpful on all our city spot questions and menu suggestions. She made the whole experience! The food was great, loved the salmon and the drinks were so delicious! 🍹🥘 So fancy inside! We loved the balcony for a little relax time and of course photos, and we loved the look inside and the hanging ball planters! We will be back 🩷

For a dinner night out on the town, you can’t beat the ambiance and location. Reservations are highly recommended, and the view from inside the restaurant and outside on the patio is second to none in Colorado Springs. We had the spritz to drink, and split several dishes among our group. Our favorites were the tempura veggies and the pepperoni and elk flatbread. For dessert, the s’mores skillet cookie was the perfect size to split among four.

The staff was very attentive, they took care of me and the food and the drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was very soothing and very clean. The entrance to this restaurant is inside the building, look for the elevator.

We came here after my sister got engaged. It was such an amazing experience. Our server, Kyle was one of the best servers I think I have ever had. He was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. I have to also shout out the kitchen…my mother asked them to make her something that literally was not on the menu to help with her dietary issues….they made her an amazing meal on the fly. She finished her plate and she NEVER does that. The view was incredible as well. Our visit was 10/10 stars!!

Came here for my birthday dinner with some family from out of town. Max waited on us and he was phenomenal! Food, drinks, and service were just amazing. I can't wait to come back and enjoy another lovely evening!

Went with friends for dinner on my trip to Colorado. Great meal and amazing service! Kaysen was immensely helpful and kind, kept us laughing and happy throughout our experience at Lumen8. He guided me through the vegetarian options available, and the root vegetable tempura was the perfect choice, paired with the roast carrot & garlic hummus! Delicious cocktails as well, really loved the Pear Pressure :) Again highlighting how great Kaysen was, thanks for making this FL girl feel at home in CO. Great food, I can’t wait to return sometime soon.

Janice went above and beyond with her warm, attentive, and thoughtful care, making us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. To top it all off, Chef Steve surprised us by whipping up fresh, house-made beignets for my bestie’s birthday—despite them not even being on the menu. That extra touch transformed a wonderful brunch into an unforgettable experience. This is the kind of place where hospitality shines, and where guests are treated like individuals, not just tables. We will absolutely be back.

We ordered their Thanksgiving meal and it was out of this world. I will also say the owner was so nice. He was super friendly. The staff was incredible when I was picking up our orders. Overall great experience, especially since it was thanksgiving and they could have been closed. Best Colorado Springs experience since I’ve lived here.

This place was deceiving in that I thought it would be way out of my price range. Real glassware, cloth napkins, full bar, and even live music on a Sunday afternoon? But wow. My biscuits and gravy were even better than mine when I make em at home, which has never happened anywhere! There was another family dining with a tiny in tow, and my 3 kids, youngest is 3, all enjoyed their food. Staff was awesome, rooftop terrace was beautiful and the view was better than view house, with manageable prices. Not cheap, and moderate to smaller portions, but we all left happy and full. This place is on the rooftop of a hotel. Only downside is parking, though I may have simply been ignorant. Lastly, best sample of carne asada I have EVER had.

We have been here a few times now and it's great. Very friendly staff, great food and good drinks. The top floor wrap around windows are definitely very cool. It was snowing and the lights lit up the snow flakes on a really neat way.

We came in for a birthday brunch and Evans took care of us. He was charming and personable. The food was spectacular, the chicken pot pie was big enough to share and so scrumptious. The Croque Madame was so yummy! Thank you!

Want in on Jan 15th with my mother in law and a friend and we had an amazing time! Christian greeted us at the door, our food and drinks were amazing and our server was on it! This place brings the vibes for sure. We will be back!

T

This place had some cool vibes and a decent menu. The truffle fries were tasty and had plenty of garlic/parmesan. I did appreciate this place having a dinner portion of a soup and salad that wasn’t ridiculous in price. I opted for a Caesar and that day, a cheddar broccoli soup. We ended with a chocolate layer cake. The service was good and our overall experience here was pleasant. The food was fine for what it was, but was quite expensive. The ambiance was enjoyable, but there wasn’t anything that was phone home worthy.

M
Mari Padilla

Nice rooftop restaurant. It has great view of the mountains. We ordered the braised short ribs. The dish was was plated well and cooked perfectly tender but the short ribs were lacking flavor. It needed more seasoning. We also got the elk and pepperoni flatbread and spinach dip. Both were good.

W
William Spath

Service was very slow. Like 15 minutes to get menu at bar. Ordered biscuits appetizer received 2 when the menu stated 3, only whipped frozen butter and not jam or honey (menu stated came with). Bartender was like blah without any energy. Host at door was rude to the point other customers checking in were talking about him at the table. Food was served lukewarm and not hot took almost 42 minutes to get after ordering. Not worth the money for the service and food.

M
Michael Schoening

Loved the rooftop bar’s classy yet earthy vibe and stunning mountain views. The atmosphere was top-notch. We ordered the bison pasta, tempura veggies, truffle parm fries, and two cocktails. My first drink, a mule-style cocktail, was extremely bitter, basically lemon juice. It was replaced with a lavender gin cocktail that tasted like soap. The bison pasta was bland, overcooked, and stuck together in a watery tomato sauce lacking any “fire-roasted” flavor. The tempura veggies were greasy, poorly battered, and clumped together, more mess than meal. The fries? Delicious. Probably straight from a frozen bag, but crispy, cheesy, and well-seasoned. Hard to mess up. Service was excellent, our server was friendly and attentive, the highlight of the night. Total was about $100 for two people. I’ll give it another try, but the food quality needs serious improvement.

We came here for a date night. The ambiance is pretty cool with all of the big windows and the view. My steak was tasty but tough, the mashed potatoes were the best I’ve ever had, and I could bathe in the Gorgonzola cream sauce!! That being said, the Mac and cheese was incredibly bland and half of my fiancé’s salmon was raw. Services was fantastic.

s
shanel davis

The area was gorgeous. It had nice seating up high on the roof top with amazing views of the mountain ⛰️. Yet the kitchen was at like half staff. They couldn't seem to figure out how to print their own menu. With the kitchen at half staff, the waiter read us a list of options that they could prepare. They never offered us a discount 😒 for the inconvenience of no menus. The server did come check on us from time time. The food was bland, not much seasoning crispy, thou.

The view is worth five stars, but the food only gets three. My husband and I dine out quite a bit, and we’ve tried nearly every nice restaurant in the springs. While this place was promising, the execution of the food was disappointing. My husband ordered the Buffalo steak, and it looked good at first. When he cut into it, the edges were completely burnt. It was hard to tell at first, because they covered it in a bunch of garnish. The cut of meat was very thin, so the entire thing was horribly overcooked, even though he asked for medium. We met another couple later on that evening, and the woman had the same thing my husband did, and she also had the same complaint. I had the salmon (tasty), and also ordered some of the mushroom risotto to go with it. It was pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. And for the price, I definitely expected better. The plus side is the serving for the mushroom risotto could’ve fed 3 to 4 people. They put a lump of shaved mushrooms in the center, which is unnecessary and makes the side dish dry. Also, it was lacking flavor, such as the basics: salt. I was disappointed in this, because mushroom risotto is one of my favorite dishes. We had the crab cakes as appetizer, and it was really good. The disappointment here was there’s only ONE on the plate, and equaled about 1 ounce of food for two people. The serving size of this as an appetizer makes zero sense. The cocktails were tasty but also a little overpriced compared to other similar restaurants. It does take awhile for them to prepare, due to the mixing, so the bar staff is very busy and delayed. Because this place is new, it’s getting a lot of attention, and there’s typically a wait. They seem to pride themselves on turning people away if you don’t have a reservation, which, we did. But I can tell you if I didn’t have a reservation and tried to dine here, I would be severely upset paying that kind of money for disappointing fare and a long wait. The saving grace of this place is definitely the rooftop patio and view.

Ashley H

The view is fantastic! The atmosphere is also lovely, both indoor and outdoor dining spaces were beautiful. Great photo opportunities outside on the rooftop terrace. I noticed almost every empty table was dirty or had not been bused. Gross. We went for brunch, a reservation for 8. The brunch menu was ok. But all coffees arrived to the table cold. The food was decent, but uninspiring especially for such a “nice” restaurant. The service, unfortunately, was not good From beginning to end there were little issues. And for the size of our party, there was a 20% automatic gratuity. I’d go back for a drink and a photo op. Much to be improved at this restaurant

K
Kyle Petitt

For the price, the food was very unimpressive. It’s not low quality food, but nothing seemed to be seasoned. Our server, Evans, was great! Really personable and nice! It also took almost 45 minutes to get our food… which was wild. Maybe a one-off? Overall, unfortunately, there’s just way better places for brunch

C
C Hodge

My husband and I went to our 10 year wedding anniversary here. The atmosphere is nice, overlooking the city. The service was great! The food was not. My dinner was not. The Chicken Parmesan was cold and very bland for what we paid for it. We would come back for cocktails, but not for food again.

O
Olivia And Frank

My family and I came here for my cousin’s 24th birthday. The atmosphere was inviting, our hostess was kind, and our server was very friendly and understanding. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet expectations. We ordered a variety of dishes (salmon, filet mignon, chicken piccata, chicken Caprese sandwich, fish & chips, etc.) and waited over an hour, only for most plates to arrive cold. The fish & chips were delayed another 15 minutes, my filet mignon was overcooked and tasted nothing like filet, and several dishes had missing or incorrect components (such as cold broccoli instead of broccolini). My cousin had to send her salmon back, and my grandmother’s food was also cold. We were also charged a $21 cake fee that was never mentioned when we called ahead to ask about bringing a birthday cake. The manager did remove it, but the overall experience—almost $500 for food that was cold and poor quality—left us very disappointed. Sadly, we will not be returning. I’ve connected a photo of my $47 “8oz” filet mignon and “broccolini” and $11 “truffle fries”

A
Alicia Zeller

This place was not up to the expectations that the reviews state. Its expensive, food was decent but the atmosphere was nice. Its interesting how much they tack on extra fees though. My sis had a birthday here and she brought her own cake. They charged a $5 fee for each person who consumed it....And they added it prior to the cake even being cut. Then with the added tip of $12.75 our total bill was $69 which included 6 wings, a salad (without protein), and a side of fries. No drinks were included since my husband and I drank water. Service was super slow but the ambiance was on point.

J
Jason Heit

Atmosphere was great, service was good, the food was ok. The biggest issue was that they asked us to leave for our table even though there were other tables available. The manager literally came to the table and said “we need you all to leave” like we did something wrong, then he explained they needed the table even though there were several 6 person tables available. They needed to put it in their reservations system that you could be limited on time. We still had drinks left. I will not go back.

Attended Lumen8 on New Year's Eve had made reservations for three people got to the restaurant got seated had a couple drinks with appetizers then we moved on to the main course which was pretty good but I say two out of the three meals were excellent one was kind of bland and had to order more sauce. Ordered another round of drinks and was approached by manger Fred and we're told we needed to leave we said hey we just ordered another round of drinks and we had reservations he goes we need this table you need to go. Then so we decided for a waiter guy he did an excellent job he was apologized all over himself for this dude and it was really Fred's fault so Fred needs to be reprimanded or fired. I wish this a nice place to go and it's awful to have somebody there that's running the show chasing customers away. When leaving we ran into five more people and they're just like hey he wouldn't even let us and we want to go sit at the bar and I said yeah that's ridiculous I said we went up to the bar because there was no one there because they kicked us out of our table. FRED ruin this experience for me for the first time the people I was with have been there like five times they will not go back.

O
Olivia Teuerle

The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because of the view and ambience. The food was terrible me and my friend went in and we got the hummus plate which we ended up having to season ourselves because there was no flavor. She got the chicken Parmesan and I got the bison short rib. We were almost done when my friend saw her chicken looked green. Be smart and go somewhere that the money is worth it.

J
Johan Moum

Had high hopes. No options for people with allergies. Although I got the burger and was hoping when I asked for lettuce wrap that it would be wrapped. Picture speaks for itself. Dry and the smash burger is not a smash burger. It is a dry pre made Pattie. Not good. Beware if it rains anytime before you dinner they close the patio outside. Would not recommend.

I came here for an early dinner (4:45pm) on a Monday. The service was so horrible I didn't even get to eat. There were some patrons seated at the bar, but the rest of the interior dining space was empty. Despite this, I was seated at an undesirable table (worst positioning for enjoying any kind of view, which is kind of the entire purpose of going here). I never got served. Someone eventually came to fill up my water glass (room temp water, no ice) and assured me a server was coming shortly. After 20 minutes of no service, I walked out. Total shame since it's a beautiful space and I'd have love to enjoy a meal there. Fortunately, the service everywhere I else I took my business that week was exceptional.

C
Chele Desilva

With this dish, the shrimp was clearly uncooked. After we waited long for the first meal, we complained about it. They made the same meal a second time, which caused us to wait longer to eat. The second one was uncooked as well. I was told by the manager that I'm not going to get charged for the meal, and I still got charged. Every cook around the world knows you don't give undercooked seafood to customers. It's disappointing after receiving 5 star service at the Broadmoor restaurants.

This was my second time visiting, the first time was a girls night out we had a female sever very rude we could've felt the energy changed the moment we started asking questions about the food on the menue, almost like we were giving her work that she doesn't want to do. But my second visit wrapped it up, I'll never be visiting again and anyone who has it in mind, I'll definitely advise them to change their choice, my husband, myself and some close friends always go out on dinners, we'll definitely be talking about this. But our second visit was a dear friend's birthday it was old year night so they had a pre-fixed meal they explained it to us, it was a four course meal you get to choose fish or steak (per person $100, if you wanted it with the pre-selected wine $130.) The sever we had (male) this time was (Hunter) he did a great job I'll say. Food? Was terrible every course was just getting worst. Our biggest issue was the desert, we had a party of 8 people, and just remember the menu is per person $100 everything on there! They bring out four plates of deserts for the people who got served first already started eating there's while the others, myself including are waiting for ours... Nothing came so we asked... Hunter is going to say "it's shared deserts!" Um no that was not what was explained we asked for the manager, went over the menu because no part of it say shared neither was that said at the front when they explained the menu to us! So this restaurant took us for fools wanted us pay you $100 saying it's all for one person but then bring out desert and say we need to share it? My husband and I have been to numerous restaurants for 2025; by ourselves and with friends, lumen8 was the worst all year!

P
Pamela Barger-Monst

Been here once before and amazing. This time, not so much. Went with a group for a bday celebration and meet with the worst experience. Sat at the table for 15 mins before service, and not busy. Once we got service it took forever for drinks and they came out wrong..... The replacement drinks (was wrong) took way too long (after watching multiple servers and managers go over and check it at the bar, but never brought it over). Food came out wrong and the overall service seemed like we were a bother to staff. We had a table of 6, so gratitude was automatically added .... And you can tell that. The service was the worst and the "management"on the floor seemed useless. Sad because I liked this place and the overall vibe, but not anymore. Seems from other reviews the same happens to others, so proceed with caution.
