Great service and friendly staff. Food portion was excellent for the price!
Love the food and the atmosphere. Wait staff friendly. Yummy 😋
Great food awesome service and great place to dine in
Good food and friendly staff. Chips and salsa are great
Great service and music/atmosphere. Good food. 🐕🦺 friendly.
I will be marking this one for the next time I am around. I might just go out of my way for the Chicken Mole Enchiladas!
Great food, go the sample platter for cheap and it was enough for two
Never Ben disappointed...great food
Great food, nice staff, great prices!
We stop there on a regular basis. It is our favourite restaurant serving Hispanic food
One of the Best Mexican food in the area! Never disappoints
Great food quick service. Awesome location
Fast service. Staff is courteous. Food is always delicious
The food is good. Nice atmosphere.
this is the only review i have ever made because this place was great, loved the food, the service was amazing, it’s pet friendly so you can bring your pets, so worth a stop
Great all the way! Food and a lot of it, the service is spot on. The only complaint was the margaritas were too light on the tequila 🙄
Complimentary nachos and dip. Iced lemon water. Huge burritos for 10 bucks. Lovely staff. Couldn't ask for more.
My first visit and I got chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Loved it. Very good food.
Probably the best carne asada chimichanga I've had in a long time. Friendly non judgemental service, and affordable pricing makes this place one of the best values around!
What ever town an El Jardin restaurant is located in, that is where the best Mexican food in that town will be found. I have eaten at each of the El Jardins and always experienced great food and service at a great price.
Legit one of the 5 best places to eat in Columbia. Love how fresh their chips are and the service is always great!
Service was excellent during my last visit and the meals that both my guest and I received were fantastic!
Best Mexican restaurant in Tuolumne County!
Yummy food, great service, good margharita. Dined on patio outside. It was lovely.
Nice outside patio that was perfect with our dog, the food was good and servers very friendly and helpful.
Always amazing food and great service! Beautiful outdoor dining patio.
The food was good and the service was top notch. Avery was super sweet ❤
The food was good and staff friendly. Cute patio eating area.
My favorite Mexican restaurant.. NEVER been disappointed. Whether you go to the restaurant and Turlock, Oakdale, Sonora, or Columbia. Always great food and great atmosphere.
I went there because I saw their mole on the menu on their website and I was not disappointed it was awesome the best mole I found at a restaurant so far
Good food.
Great menu, friendly staff, quaint little restaurant in the heart of downtown Columbia.
Excellent food and great service. I Will definitely be going back.
Excellent service. Order your food how you want it, like excluding certain ingredients or adding something else. Great food with some decent variety and a bit of a kids menu. Pet friendly outdoor eating. Very good restaurant. I will certainly return more than a couple times.
Stopped by to pickup an order for someone else and saw Lobster Enchiladas as a special of the day. WOW!! They didn’t skimp on the lobster, the flavor was perfect, and I get full to just the perfect amount. The order came with beans/rice, and fresh made daily chips and salsa. Thanks El Jardin for the wonderful meal!
El Jardin is always a local favorite of mine. They're usually fast, well priced, and the food is delicious. Not sure if they still do it, but they have a lunch special burrito that's cheap, good and filling if you want something quick and to go. Otherwise, the seating is nice and the staff has always been very attentive and friendly. Definitely a must if you're looking for good Mexican food while exploring historic Columbia!
On a trip back to my home town of tuolumne county we decided to eat some good mexican food in Columbia. We left our card here, living out of town now, they kindly mailed it back to us. We enjoyed the great food and atmosphere along with appreciated the time it took to send back the card. Thank you so much. We will definitely be eating here again!
The food was delicious! I had the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. My husband had a chicken enchilada and a beef tostada. Our kids loved their Shirley Temples. Our waitress Avery was friendly and provided great service. The whole restaurant had a nice homey vibe. Nothing fancy but great food and nice people.
Our group of 9 arrived 15min before closing but the kitchen rallied, food came quickly with outstanding and friendly service
Stayed in Columbia for work, not many food options and this restaurant was walking distance from our Motel. Was very happy we tried it, became our go to during the week we were there. Our waitress Avery was awsome!
Three of us had a great lunch, carne asada, Chile Verde, and a chicken tostada. Our server was great, very friendly and efficient. We will be back. They have a dog friendly patio.
My sister took me to El Jardin Mexican Restaurant in Twain Harte and then we tried this one. The food is about the same in both restaurants, but I like this one better because of its environment. The restaurant has a garden like environment as you enter. My favorite item on the menu is Milanesa but the seafood is wonderful too.
We were there when they were short staffed, but the two waitresses were super nice and worked as fast as they could. Our party of four got a variety of dishes and all the food was excellent.
Excellent food. Love the people that work there. We had a big group of 12, sat outside, and they took great care of us.
Quick easy pick up order! restaurant has a cute outdoor patio. staff was really friendly and professional. Food tasted great
Good food. Chips are hit and miss sometimes. Good carnitas, fun Mexican atmosphere
We had a really good dinner he err. The place is do cute we sat outside and had great service. Can't wait to go again.
Food was really good, service was great.
Absolutely LOVED this little restaurant. The outdoor patio has many plants and trees and the service was wonderful. The young lady that took care of us went above and beyond what she had to. The food was super tasty and I wish it was closer to my home. I would go here at least once a week if it was closer.
Very nice place! They have high chairs and booster seats for kids. I got the Reyes taco with carnitas which was very good. I tasted the chicken soup which was good. The margarita was a little watery but did the job. Very very good chips and salsa. The chips are fresh and crispy. Service was good.
My sister and I stopped for lunch. I had the crab enchilada and she had the pork taco. Both were excellent! Even the rice and beans were very good. Recommended.
I got the plate of nachos with pork, and a pepsi. So good! The waiters were so sweet and their food is amazing!

My first time there the food was delicious. But when we got there, no one was there and there were 3 dirty tables and stuff under the tables like napkins while the staff was sitting at the tables just doing nothing. The wood tables need to be deeply cleaned and disinfected & kept up on. But the plate I got was really really good! So were the flour chips! My stars are for the food quality! I'll be going back but I may day something next.time
I ate here the day I got married and after my 3rd was born. Best of all their locations, never had a bad experience and servers today we're super amazing, they know how to hire. Can always count on it being good. The patio here is beautiful too.

Good service and a slight twist on standard dishes. Was good and a nice change
Great food great service great location in Columbia State Park California
A nice place to eat in Columbia. Parking us a bit tight, try across the street in the town parking area.
Good food, hard to seat a large group but we called ahead and they took GREAT care of us.
Food is decent but I have had better Mexican food. Expect to drop about $30 per person. Expensive but would expect for Columbia?
Great food. Good Prices.
Just had lunch there today I have the pork enchiladas with the beans in the rice and I have to say the rice was exceptional. Everything else was good
The place and service is really good. The food is better than average Mexican food.
They have authentic Mexican food the service is good Outside seating is very charming
Very good food and service. Casual style with indoor or outdoor seating
Eat on the patio. It's small and cramped inside. The service is very good and the good is good and plentiful and priced well.
We went out to Columbia since the downtown El Jardin has been closed on and off with no warning or any kind of notice anywhere on website nor even on the door. I assume it's short on employee's but who knows. The manager is great out in Columbia. Very cool guy. Our food is always consistently good. A little lacked on getting us refills and even silverware but they were busy and so I can account for that. We sat outside which is nice and also dog friendly. Our Chihuahua Baxter sat there in his best behavior checking everyone and everything out and was just happy to be out with us. All and all it was a good evening and we will be back. Thank you.
El Jardin is a Mexican restaurant that I have been coming to for years. Very consistent and decent food. Pretty average, no big spicy surprises or anything. Plate sizes are good. On the pricey side. I'd recommend their tamales and/or fajitas. Can sit inside or outside.
We had a lovely time seated outside with our large group including children. The service was amazing and we were so happy to be welcomed by the friendly staff. Our meals were delicious and were excited to come back and try more options from this restaurant. A few favorites of the group included the tacos, torta and mole. We also loved the margaritas!
I would of given a five start but a hair come out in my wife's plate!!! Kinda cut our vibe down and couldn't enjoy food the same!! But food is delicious and I know the owner personally and their costumer service is amazing so we will be back to try another dish.
Authentic Mexican food. Baja fish tacos and the soup were delicious!

Had great salad, really love the place and wait staff are awesome
Food was good, but service was very slow.
My chimichanga was good, but my girl got an 18 dollar crab enchilada special and it was super dry. I wouldn't have paid 10 for the size it was
I really love their enchiladas the salsa and cabbage salad. Also, the bean dip is amazing.
The food was standard, but upon entering restaurant, there was an exceptional odar of musty, unclean. Service was disappointing, as at the time, my friend and I were the only ones there..Needs improvement in a few areas...
The service in here is very friendly but can be quite slow. We were sat waiting for someone to take our order for quite some time. That being said, when our waitress arrived she was really friendly and efficient. I ordered the steak burrito and chicken enchilada and both were pretty decent. My friend had veggie versions of this and she enjoyed her food as well. On the whole the prices were reasonable and the portions pretty generous too. They take card which is always a bonus.

Not so good today. Usually great food. Not sure why. Will go again to see if this was just an anomaly.
Had a Shrimp Cocktail that was in the bottom of my list of favorite Shrimp Cocktails I've had in all my travels. The service was good and staff was friendly. Will visit again and try something else next time.
I give restaurants three chances, today was strike three. I've waited an unreasonable amount of time to be waited on every time I've been here. After 15 minutes the last time I walked out. Today the wait was longer than acceptable, I ordered carne asada fries. The meat was dry, stale and tough. We were given a credit on the check. I do not understand how a chef can consciously serve food they know is substandard.
Very slow to get food. Burrito was ok, but not great. Patio was nice. Bathroom was dirty. Not worth the price.
20 minutes after opening time in 100 degrees weather, customers lined up down the street. Music on, gate locked and nobody answers the phone. Darn, and I had my heart set on Nachos...

We came in around 1pm or 2pm and it was pretty empty. Service was ok albeit a little slow considering how empty the place was. We ordered 2 margaritas that were nothing fancy. Order of guacamole, carna asada fries, and 3 Street tacos. The bill come up over $70 which I felt was pretty high considering we basically got appetizers. I got kinda sick off whatever I ate. Not like food poisoning, but just upset stomach and felt rough. It's a neat little restaurant, but for the price and quality of food, I feel it's not worth coming back to.
Atmosphere: small place, nice shaded outdoor area pets allowed. Service: staff nice Food: not good. Carnitas not seasoned and was very fatty, tortillas soggy, food was like 300°.
The food is always good, never had an issue with that but the service is NOT good. The waitresses are not friendly, they don't seem happy to be there .

Service was good. Food was horrible. Grease tasted old. Chips inedible. Gross.
The Baja taco was nasty so dry no salsa never go back there, I'll stick to CC's in Jamestown
I would rate it less if possible. The service was horrible. We were ignored and forgotten about. We had a 3 person party our food came out about 10 min apart of each other all cold. And after expressing our urgency to leave because we have been there 1.5 hrs waiting, the waitress still forgot to bring our boxes. I highly recommend eating anywhere else!!!
It was very expensive and the food was awful. The girls at the counter never come to ask if you need anything or if we are good. We had to ask where to pay, then was given our check. The ac was up so high it was actually pretty cold in there.
Does food poisoning deserve a star? I think not! Don't order the chicken!!!! It's 3 am and my husband is sicker then ever! Sucks, this place has gone down hill!
First we ordered a cocktail and only had the stuff for two drinks. Then we ordered our meal and some friends we know showed up.they also ordered a cocktail and didn’t have the stuff to make it. Then It took them 30 minutes to get the lady to take there order. There food came as we where waiting 45 minutes for ours. Come to find out they have not made it. So another 10 minutes to get our food. Never had a bad experience here but I will not be in anytime soon.
Good thing I wasn't very hungry didn't know they sold it in quarter portions
I called an order some food. I drove 20 minutes to pick it up. By the time I got back home and opened it it was the smallest burrito I had ever seen. I ordered a chicken burrito and it did not contain chicken whatsoever. I paid $16.50 and left the $3.50 tip. Although the lady at the counter was very sweet I hope to cook gets $0 of that tip money.

Will not return. The waitress did not come out to check on us to the point I had to go in and grab silverware and drink refills. Food was bad. Steak special was burnt black($19), my steak burrito meat was chopped to a dog food consistency, stale tasting and dish lacked simple seasoning($19). To top it off they over charged me and I had to go in and get my bill fixed before I could pay. All around BAD EXPERIENCE. I recommend the downtown Sonora or the Twain Harte location. Much better food.
My post is primarily regarding the "manager" of El Jardin in Columbia Slow service and poor , meaning none, attentiveness to our table. When delivering food she dripped a trail of enchilada sauce all the way and by our table (we would have to step in it to leave). When we mentioned it she ignored it. I asked her to please wipe the area by our table she gave me a hateful look, brought a dry napkins and half way wiped it. She said it's not her job to clean the floors.. She brought us the wrong ticket twice then disappeared. We left money on the table. She chased us down saying it was short She could not produce the original bill. Probably because my friend wrote bad service on it. She claimed we were 31 cents short. We paid and left, never ro go there again. Don't say you weren't warned. By the way, as I said, she was the manager.
The first time I came her I ordered a shrimp cocktail. It was so bad. It was basically shrimp covered in ketchup. Decided to try again yesterday. I ordered a combo plate with a tamale, chile relleno with rice and beans. Service was not friendly, in taking the order. Tamale was not good. Very dried out and very little meat inside. Chile relleno was better than the tamale but honestly more oil than anything else. I ordered half green sauce and half red so that I could taste both. They were both rather ordinary. Nothing special. Chips were okay and salsa was alright. I was told they didn’t have hot sauce. Think that’ll be my last time there.
My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times. Today, for mothers day it was very disappointing. The service was bad, after being seated it was 20 minutes before they came to take our order. My husband had chili Colorado, there were literally 2 pieces of meat on the whole plate and the sauce tasted like canned sauce. Not one time did they come by and ask if we wanted drink refills. We won't be going back.
Food was decent service was weird. Too many immature high school girls working front counter... kind of felt off not sure if they were laughing at us or what... weird.
The steak in my borrito tasted rancid. I sent it back. I've eaten here 3 times and will never return. Apparently the cook does not taste what he cooks. Dead flies in the windows and inside. Eat elsewhere!
