È diventato il mio ristorante preferito! Cibo OTTIMO! Veramente la qualità si sente!!! Raro per un ristorante in quella zona, non è il classico ristorante che conta solo sulla quantità di coperti (cioè solo turistico... ) Personale gentile e attento!! Hanno anche alternative gluten free per la pasta ! Quindi punto ancora di più a favore! Tornaremo sicuramente! Consigliato. ( prezzi classici della zona )

We stumbled upon this gem, Ristorante Pizzeria Funicolare, after a long day enjoying the lake—and what a lucky find! The food was outstanding. Super nice location, and amazing food. We visited with a group of 5 and a toddler, the team was very welcoming and warm. The view is amazing, specially in the evening with some live street music. Era molto bello. Il cibo era molto buono, ma purtroppo i calamari non mi hanno soddisfatta. L’atmosfera era meravigliosa, i camerieri molto educati. Il lago è vicinissimo e per questo abbiamo scelto questo ristorante. I prezzi sono un po’ alti.

Diciamo che il luogo è stupendo già di suo, il ristorante è in un posto strategico ovviamente qua su paga sia la vista che il resto, abbiamo fatto solo colazione e devo dire che i prezzi erano dappertutto gli stessi, quindi ci siamo fermati qua per la vista naturalmente, comunque devo dire che Como non è molto a buon mercato, due omelette un tè caldo e un cappuccio e bottiglia di acqua 38€...ha il suo fascino!! Però l'abbiamo presa bene, dai, il cameriere molto educato e discreto, nel complesso ce lo aspettavamo.

Il ristorante è prettamente impuntato sul pesce di mare, non mancano piatti classici come il risotto al pesce persico e il filetto di manzo. Noi abbiamo preso due primi, un secondo, due dessert, una birra, un mojito e una bottiglia d'acqua spendendo il giusto. Tutto buonissimo eccetto il tiramisù che pur essendo gustoso era liquido e non aveva tuorlo d'uovo nella crema. La sistemazione esterna, obbligatoria di questi tempi, è un po' rumorosa visto il via vai in strada. Troppo odore di fumo, ma questo è legato solo all'educazione e all'egoismo degli altri clienti.

Sono stata per la prima volta in questo ristorante, abbiamo scelto un tavolo sul terrazzino e devo dire che la sola vista merita 5stelle.. ma veniamo al pranzo, ho provato gli scialatielli ai frutti di mare e devo dire che non erano male, porzioni molto abbondanti..

Delicious food at something (not bad) tourist prices. I would like to say the same about the drinks, but unfortunately I can't - I mean that the 0.2L Coke costs 5€, I think it's a bit expensive. Likewise, the service flat rate of 2.5€ per person, which I wouldn't find bad if it wasn't hidden in the wine list, but also in the normal menu. Nevertheless, it was a great service with delicious food, great ambiance and friendly staff! This review sounds a bit negative, but it's not supposed to be. It was really a great dinner with bread and oil in advance and a limencello to finish (both on the house). Especially in the neighbourhood, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit! Gladly again!

After a long day at the lake, we found this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was fast and nice. I tried a local fish dish, which was nice. We had an amazing view, of course. Despite it being hot, they had airco fans on and water sprayers, which really cooled the air.

To have a wonderful experience sit on the rooftop. With a full view of Lake Como this would be a great meal. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes and the quality is good. We really enjoyed it.

We dined here one evening in March and practically had the restaurant to ourselves. We sat outside overlooking the water which was peaceful. We ordered some wine, which to our surprise they didn't have a large selection. For our meals, we got a pizza and pasta which were both satisfied with but it wasn't anything special. The staff was very attentive.

RPF is a great place for grilled fish. I ate there twice. Slightly under seasoned but grilled to perfection. Adding a little salt, pepper, and juice of a lemon elevated the fish. The sea bass is served with a scrumptious medley of grilled carrots, zucchini, and egg plant. I ordered a side of roasted potatoes that were uneventful. I did not like the meringue pie. The pie is hard; the middle is ice cream, and the crust crumbles when trying to slice it and fizzles when eating. Regarding the service it felt like I was being ignored while waiting to place my order. I just sucked it up and chill. Slow service is the norm in Italy. Oh, FYI tap water is four euros. I just happened to have a bottle in my purse;-)

Posizione ottima con una bellissima vista sul lago dai tavoli della terrazza. Peccato che il cibo non fosse all'altezza. La frittura mista era troppo fritta, mentre le cozze non erano pulite bene, rendendo spiacevole mangiare il piatto.

Se fosse per me darei due stelle. Però ok, dobbiamo essere oggettivi e quindi 3 stelle. Inizio subito premettendo che non è stata una mia scelta questo ristorante, per il pranzo di San Valentino, essendo infatti stato un ripiego last minute causa disguido di un app di prenotazioni ristoranti. Vabbè, andiamo al sodo. Mezz'ora di fila, ma ci può stare, essendo domenica 14 febbraio e cielo limpido. Ci fanno accomodare in terrazza (nella Foto). Molto bella, grazie anche alle condizioni climatiche. Notevole e suggestiva vista sul Lago. E fin qui, tutto relativamente bene. Poi vedo nel menù 4 primi, tra cui due erano pasta al pomodoro e un altro che nemmeno ricordo. Gli altri due (foto), che abbiamo provato, erano buoni, ma non mi voglio sbilanciare. 16 e 18 euro l'uno. Non ci siamo. Valore netto del piatto: 5 euro. Forse. Frittura nel menu che superava i 20. Ok, paghi il posto. Però un limite ci vuole. Almeno ampliate un attimo il menu. Troppo scarno. E poi caffè ordinato e mai servito. Dopo mezz'ora abbondante di attesa. Menomale che al momento del pagamento ce l'hanno offerto per scusarsi del disservizio. Peccato. Peccato perché con un attimo di cura in più (ampiezza del menu e prezzi un po' rivisti) potrebbe davvero diventare un locale da consigliare. Ora, girate alla larga. Rimane un accalappia-turisti e niente di più.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante per caso, attirati dalla bella posizione sul lungo lago di Como. La vista è davvero suggestiva, ma il cibo lascia un po' a desiderare. Io ho mangiato una pizza bufala ed era decisamente troppo oleosa. La pizza di un mio commensale sembrava più invitante, forse sono stata sfortunata io. Per il resto, il servizio è cortese e attento, forse un po' lento. I prezzi sono giusti, considerando la posizione del locale.

Anche qui come in altri posti prezzi alle stelle e porzioni sempre più ridotte!!! 25 Euro una grigliata cosi cosi senza costine e se vuoi il contorno sono altri 6.50 !!! Peccato era un ottimo posto.

The service and the view from our table was amazing. Though we sat out on a cold day, the restaurant had heaters setup outside for comfort. This didn’t really do much and we were still pretty cold. The restaurant also weren’t sitting anyone inside for some reason. We sat with direct view of the Lake. But unfortunately the food wasn’t the best. Everything tasted kind of bland. We got the bruschetta, buffalo cheese pizza and grilled chicken. Wouldn’t recommend any of it tbh. What I did like was their frite fries, roasted potatoes and their selection of wine. Also it seemed like the waiters were in cahoots with the local street sellers. Often you’d see people selling flowers walking between the tables, though this might not necessarily be a bad thing for some. Wouldn’t go there again unless it’s to just drink wine while staring out into the Lake (preferably in the summer).

This restaurant, given its prices, had to meet high expectations—which were a bit difficult to reach. Unfortunately, although the food was good, the chicken lacked flavor, and the same goes for the pasta. It was also a bit odd that fries weren’t included with meals like the chicken. On the bright side, the service was quick, and both the fries and the bread were quite good.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but overall it was a bit of a letdown. The food quality was below average, and most dishes were overly salty. I ordered the carbonara, but unfortunately it wasn’t a real carbonara—more of a creamy pasta than the traditional version. The prices were quite high for what was offered, which made the experience feel less worth it. On the positive side, the staff were polite and friendly, and the design of the place, both inside and outside, was very nice—definitely a good-looking spot. However, one woman inside was surprisingly aggressive when I was simply taking some photos and videos, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The toilet was okay, nothing special but clean enough. Overall, a stylish place with kind staff, but the food and atmosphere left a lot to be desired.

Service and hospitality are both good, our waiter was friendly and we had a nice lunch experience here. The thing is, this place is very expensive. Food is ok overall but with that pricing, one expects much better than that. We didn’t liked the desserts.. what else can I say… Location is great, its amazing sitting just next to the lake and enjoying your drink & food and I hope things will get better with time. This place deserves more :) Cheers

This restaurant has an unbeatable location right in front of the lake, offering great views that are perfect for an afternoon drink. However, our dining experience was less impressive. We decided to stay for dinner and ordered a lasagna, a pizza, and a risotto. While the lasagna and pizza were just okay, the risotto was disappointing—it was more like rice with mushroom sauce and didn’t use the proper risotto rice. This place is great for enjoying a few drinks with a beautiful view, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a meal. For the price, you can find better quality food at other restaurants in town.

When COLD bread is served, you know the dishes won't be good, and truly they are... We ordered a spaghetti ragu, ravioli zaff, seafood mussel salad, and coffee. For me, only the spaghetti is with flavor. Others aren't worth of comments. It's hard to imagine the restaurant would serve cold bread,which is terrible and not fresh at all. The bread is for birds, not for humans... the dough of ravioli is undercooked, and the whole dish tastes nothing. About the seafood salad, ya... bland as well, you got to adjust the flavor by yourself with peper olive oil and salt on the table. Nevertheless, the restaurant is located right on the lake side with beautiful views, and the sunshine that day is wonderful, and maybe it's the reason why they don't put much attention on dishes for people still will buy it. By the way, character of the server is nice, but they seem to lack training, for the coffee is served right in the beginning.

Not worth the prices. Disappointing service. I asked the waiter for a recommendation of a cream based pasta and she suggested a ‘cream tagliatelle’- which by the way wasn’t on the menu. She seemed to be in a rush, so I accepted her idea. When the dish arrived, I was underwhelmed by the beyond basic quality of the meal which consisted of simply cream, mushrooms and pasta. It was tasteless and adding salt and pepper didn’t even cut it. To top this off, when the bill came, I was charged €19.50 for the pasta alone! It was more expensive than the dish my partner had, which included Salmon fish. You pay for the location, not the quality of food. Overall an underwhelming experience…
