We came to Lake Como for the day and were looking for a nice, off the beaten path Italian restaurant to eat at. This place was excellent, from the food to the coffee everything was authentic Italian. Highly recommend this place, it’s not too far off the main shopping street in Como.

The service and the mood of the place it is unbeatable! Just perfect. We ordered pizza and were delicious. At the end aa a dessert we ate a tiramisú (was recommended by a friend) and although, I'm not a big fan, this is one of the best dessert that I ever had. Today is Sunday, they close on Monday, but for sure we will go on Tuesday to have a final meal there.

Great pizza and good wine! A perfect combo to spend a warm summer evening in Italy with your friends. Highly recommended. The ambience is good and the decor very old world charm. The staff is extremely helpful and kind, although I have to say that the Maître d’ was not very friendly. He was brief and wanted us to hurry up with our order without suggestions. Otherwise overall experience is good.

If you're in town and looking for a restaurant, look no further. Excellent choice of food and drinks, great food both in taste and presentation and a service with a smile. But if you haven't booked and turn up there and it's busy, wait for a table, you won't be disappointed. We just had to go back there one more time on the last day of our holiday at lake Como. We were not disappointed. It was better than the first time. Flavio the owner manager is a great straight talking guy who runs a smooth operation.

Perfect restaurant, delicious food, good and friendly service. we enjoyed the food. A lot of thanks. I recommend everyone who comes to Como to visit this restaurant

We had a three course meal at Barbarossa. Unfortunately we had to sit inside, which did not have a cozy atmosphere with its fluorescent lighting. If possible I would recommend sitting outside. The appetizers we had were nothing special. The gnocchi was absolutely delicious and the panna cotta for desert was amazing too. Service was average, which seems normal for Como. No one pays attention to empty glasses, which is quite annoying.

Nice place and friendly service. The food was okay. We had the spaghetti with clams and pasta with monkfish. The spaghetti clam dish had a lot of big, fresh clams but was unfortunately too bland. The other dish was well seasoned but it would’ve been better with more fish. Bonus point to the complimentary bread sticks.

Was recommended this restaurant from a couple of guys who work around the corner, and it didn’t disappoint! The ambiance inside the place was quite nice, I especially liked the open view to the pizza station. The pizza itself was delicious but not extraordinary in comparison to others I’ve had. Staff was kind enough and did their job well.

Recommended by one of the shop owners nearby. Looks promising from outside. Reservation (14th Feb!) made quickly. Inside: atmosphere of haste (eat, drink and go) instead of enjoying the time. Interior design surprisingly cold - we did not feel like at an Italian pizzeria. Very good rose wine, salad and pizza of average quality. “Tiramisu”: disaster - some sweet mousse with strawberries (???). No water in the washroom.

Dropped by for dinner while in Como. The food and atmosphere was pretty good. We had ordered a margarita and salami picante, the picante was pretty good, however margarita was bland. Also, the staff attending to us didn’t even understand basic english, it took us a while to explain him our order. Further, when we asked for bill, we were handed over a bill which contained cover charge for 9 persons, it was removed when we enquired, but I do not except these kind of mistakes from a restaurant which is operating at such a large scale.

Don’t bother and find somewhere else. Had the lasagne and wasn’t very impressed. Service minimal. Charged for tap water. Only part that was fairly nice was the bread.

Service was ok except when we mentioned we did not want any drinks and he looked & sounded annoyed as he took away our menus. Food was not very good. The beef lasagna had a strong beef & cheese taste (the only thing I could taste). There was little lasagna sheets. The pizza used canned ingredients - canned mushrooms and artichokes. Price was decent though. Overall, would not recommend if looking for good food to eat. Edit: After reading the reply 1. Completely ignored the service part but sure, everyone has their bad days when they're in the service industry. 2. Sure maybe I haven't had good lasagne or beef ragout but the one here is definitely not good either. If it's not good, it's not good! Also, chicken with almonds is not even a Chinese dish, it's American-Chinese, and chicken and almonds would not have a "strong" taste as compared to beef, cream and cheese🤦So the comparison doesn't make sense. To clarify, the beef and cheese taste was so strong/overpowering, that it was tough to continue eating. We call it "jelat" or cloying for the english word. I only finished it because I am not a fan of food wastage. 3. Yes the ingredients were canned, the owner/manager told us himself (a friend asked them about it). So not sure what they're talking about but could be a translation issue. 4. I'm not sure what's your point with the reply. The whole point of a review is to give your own perspective on the place/restaurant. My PERSONAL experience was bad but others might have been good and that's fine because we all have different preferences. But I think it's quite immature and unprofessional to respond in this manner and even a bit racist (name is not even Chinese, it's Japanese😮‍💨). I hope you'll be kinder to your future customers/reviewers. I do not write reviews unless they're really good or really bad. You can take a guess which one this belongs to.
