Mi sono trovato benissimo. La signora che serve ha un carisma e delle capacità invidiabili. Pranzo ottimo, piatti davvero buoni e soprattutto preparati con amore. La location è bellissima e ti fa sentire proprio come dalla nonna. Prezzi medi, €26 a pranzo primo, secondo con contorno e acqua. Parcheggio interno minuscolo ma si può parcheggiare in strada qualche metro prima di arrivare al ristorante.

Ci è stato consigliato questo posto, un po’ lontano dal centro di Como, ma ne è valsa la pena. Piatti fantastici, gustosi e saporiti fatti da mani che sanno soddisfare il palato di chi comprende la cucina casereccia. Farà parte dei miei piatti preferiti. Consigliassimo

Ristoranti così, in cui ti senti davvero a casa, ospite di amici, ne sono rimasti pochi. Tutto ti fa stare bene con semplicità e una qualità del gusto incredibile, prodotti genuini e materie prime di altissimo livello perchè prima di tutto l'ingrediente principale in ogni piatto è la passione autentica. Bravissimi !

Tipica trattoria con servizio e cucina STREPITOSI. La qualità della materia prima, la capacità nel trasformarla, darle valore aggiunto ed infine l'esperienza e la gentilezza nel servirla fanno di questo locale un posto UNICO! che dire do cinque stelle perchè non posso darne di più! Mi dispiace che non abito più vicino a Como per venire più spesso in posto bellissimo! Ero da solo e ho trascorso l'intera notte accudito dai gentili padroni di casa, mi hanno servito cibo eccellente e vino ben ponderato. Grazie per la vostra meravigliosa ospitalità. Lontano dal fighettismo imperante della zona purtroppo quasi sempre anche senza contenuti, troverete questa VERA trattoria a poco dal centro straordinariamente deliziosa. Moglie in sala e marito in cucina in un posticino di pochi tavoli interni e qualche tavolo all'esterno sotto un pergolato per le giornate più calde vi faranno scoprire piatti deliziosi che raccontano veramente il territorio con ricette che si stanno perdendo e adattando al "mordi e fuggi" di commensali privi di alcuna cultura gastronomica. Tutto fatto in casa e quando non lo è vi verrà detto da quale produttore locale è stato acquistato. Noi abbiamo preso: sublime carne salada fatta in casa, vera bresaola della Valtellina di piccolo produttore, poi filetti di pesce persico con riso al cagnone sì udite ho detto riso al cagnone riso bollito poi fatto andare in padella con il burro ove sono stati fritti i filetti di pesce persico e aggiunta di formaggio, non un comune risotto con sopra adagiati i filetti di pesce persico il più delle volte decongelato e importato, piatto spettacolare che da anni non riuscivo più a mangiare. Per finire un casalingo creme caramel più che buono. Buona carta dei vini con produttori anche locali, moglie in sala simpaticissima e marito ai fornelli che verrà al tavolo a chiedere come vi siete trovati ........!!!!!! ah dimenticavo vi salutano anche quando entrate! strano no???? Ovviamente questo piatto l'avevamo prenotato quindi con garanzia di pesce fresco e locale; non è in carta ma anche la scelta della carta con primi di pasta anche ripiena fatta in casa (provate se in stagione agnolotti ripieni di ortiche con burro di alpeggio) e ottimi secondi non vi deluderà di certo. Prezzo corretto simpatia in abbondanze cibo ottimo ritornerete!!!!

The owner is friendly. Even though we arrived at 2pm, she assured us we were welcomed (as their closing time is 2:30pm). The food was delicious. We ordered beef carpaccio which is homemade. The venison ragu was excellent. Highly recommended!!!

A culinary gem with incredibly warm hosts! Trattoria La Costa is a true feast for the senses. From the moment you step into the restaurant, you’re welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The charm of the historic building, combined with the hospitality of the team, makes every visit a truly special experience. The dishes are of exceptional quality, freshly prepared, and absolutely delicious. The homemade pasta dishes and perfectly cooked meat specialties are especially noteworthy – but honestly, everything here is simply outstanding. You can feel the passion and love that goes into every dish. A personal tip: Make sure to try the “Carne Salada” as a starter – but don’t tell everyone, or there might not be any left for us! The wine selection is equally impressive. The well-stocked cellar offers the perfect pairing for every dish on the menu. We visit this restaurant 2-3 times a year and would probably come here every weekend if it weren’t 150 km away. In a way, I’m glad La Costa is a bit off the beaten path and not overrun by tourists – it remains a true insider tip! For me, it’s the best restaurant in Northern Italy. The Trattoria exudes authentic Italian charm. I truly can’t understand the negative reviews. There’s a reason why mainly locals dine here. My advice: Be sure to make a reservation, as the restaurant is often fully booked in the evenings. As for the criticism about supposedly small portions or high prices? It’s absurd. Such comments must come from people who don’t truly appreciate good food or wine. If you don’t enjoy at least 2-3 courses here, you’re missing out on a real culinary experience. I wish Elisabetta and Ivan continued joy and success with their passion – and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful restaurant!

I wish I could give this 6 stars. The family who owns this are so kind, and make the experience beyond anything we’ve experienced in Italy. If you are looking for a place that treats you like guests in their house, this is the place! Things to note, parking is behind or on the street. All the food is local, including the herbs from their own garden. With appetizers, 2 courses, and 5 bottles of wine, it came to about 100 Euro per person, which is a very fair price!

During our 10-day trip to Italy, dining at La Costa was the absolute highlight. The food was by far the best we had throughout our entire journey. The restaurant itself is quaint and charming, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The family that runs it is simply incredible—such sweet and hospitable people. The wife took the time to explain the menu to us in detail, making us feel right at home. The husband, who is both the chef and sommelier, even gave us a tour of his impressive wine cellar below the restaurant. We will definitely return and highly recommend La Costa to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

A cozy Italian restaurant where I could relax with a range of comfort food. (Their Polenta was best for me !) Kind and friendly owner who is easy to communicate in English. They also have good bottles of wine and the chef himself is a qualified Sommelier ! Definitely recommend to visit !

My family and I visited this fantastic gem in Como on a beautiful Saturday evening. The classic Italian building has a wonderful atmosphere, and upon entering, the surprises continued. We got a seat on the terrace and the atmosphere of the place captured us immediately. Flowers are friendly tables. We soon received the menu and lots of information about the delicacies from our restaurant. It took a long time to choose what to start with. My daughter, who was still very unfamiliar with Italian food, asked for pasta alla costa. Our host Betta, with endless kindness and good humor, told us exactly what spices are in it and what the food looks like. My wife asked for Tagliatalle with blueberry venison ragout and I asked for grilled chicken to start. We received the delicacies very quickly. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned and crumbly. The venison ragout is brilliant. And the tomato and cheese made the pasta alla costa wonderful (and after that, I don't need to say that the pasta was also perfect). I even asked for dessert afterwards. I had to try a pannacotta and I was not disappointed. And then came a slice of the house's specialty, the hazelnut-apple cake. It is difficult to talk about the place in non-superlative terms. From the first minute to the last, we felt wonderful and we were not even in a restaurant, but rather at a family dinner with an Italian family, who wanted nothing more than for their guests to have a good time. Thank you for being there that evening and we are sorry that we cannot be there again now. But it is certain that if we visit the Milano-Como area again, we will definitely have dinner there, in this wonderful place, with this wonderful and kind family!

I never leave reviews but Wow! The best food I’ve had in como. Definitely make the trip it’s quite accessible by train/bus from como. 100% recommend. We had the freshest carne salade with fresh herbs Nessi’s garden. Wonderful little gem and wonderful service. Make the trip trust me.

The restaurant is very cozy, we got the last table because everything was rezerve. The food was delicious, we had 2 starters beef carpacio and beef tartar, Super delicious. For the main course we had rabit with polenta and porc stue also with polenta which was excellent. We recommend this local very much!!

We had such an amazing dinner here tonight. All the produce was so fresh and tasty. The staff were so friendly and the wine cellar was out of this world. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough if looking for an original local Italian restaurant near Como. The location just outside of Como town means you are not surrounded by tourists and get a true local feel experience. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Above and beyond all expectations. Small family restaurant, the menu only in Italian and is rather short, most of the ingridients come from the own garden or the village nearby. I think we came too early and had therefore to wait for our orders quite a bit (other families which came later didnt have to wait that long). The lady speaks decent English, parking available in the backyard, though the places are very limited.

What a wonderful first dinner in Como, Italy. Ivan and Nessi are awesome. Nessi was so warm and welcoming, she made us feel right at home in Italy. Her husband Ivan is an awesome chef and sommelier. He helped us pick a fabulous wine for dinner down in the cellar. Needles to save the food was fantastic. When you are in Como, make sure to visit this restaurant.

A gem! We were staying in a B&B nearby and were considering pizza but we were very happy to take the short walk over to La Costa. Typical (Northern) Italian cuisine, very tasty and surprisingly affordable. Just take whatever they have as daily specials and you'll be very satisfied. Child/baby friendly with a parking around back. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We came for lunch and our first impression was quite positive as the atmosphere is very relaxed and feels like home. For this reason, we would have expected a more friendly and proactive service. The food was fine (even if the dish that most of us wanted was actually not available and we weren’t told until we ordered) and the portions are very big.
