I ordered my food online. It was very easy to use the app on their website. Got a free burrito for using it.. The service is friendly. Food is delicious.

Great food, not expensive and if you're there not at peak times you'll be in and out. It's like mi abuelita used to say: Nunca se bañe con su tostadora.

I have been coming here for some time grabbing a burrito to go, they are pretty good but fairly average for the area. BUT, just tried the Pupusas, they are the bomb! Don't know why I didn't try them before, this place does it right. Nice and crispy outside, soft on the inside, very large amount of food (rice, refried beans and cole slaw). Recommend!

I usually go to Taqueria Los Gallos Express #2 in Pleasant Hill., but also been to the location in Concord. Customer service is without a doubt above and beyond any other taqueria in the area. Every time I've been there the people working there have been super nice and helpful. I tried the carne asada burrito with guac and cheese. The burrito is excellent! All delicious and good quality. A great little taqueria. Love their street tacos and Taco Tuesday! The salsa bar is great and the place is always very clean!! The location is really convenient because it's in a pretty busy shopping center. Will come back and visit next time I'm in Concord.

Authentic and affordable! Concord still has it! A great city to live work and play without an arm or leg! And yes, they have tripas! And that flan is the best I've had bar none.

Delicious food and a vast diversity of food to pick from. Weather your looking for something simple, like a burrito or some tacos, or perhaps you rather plate combo such as, a carne asada plate, enchiladas, or sea food. But it doesn't end here. They also have fruit salads or cocktails, smoothies, natural fruit juices made on the spot just for you, and last but not least, all kinds of sweet desserts like cake slices, flan, pie and much much more.

They make great Mexican food. Their Quesadilla Suiza is basically an all meat burrito, without the beans, and rice. It is big enough for two. They are open 24 hours, and I do a lot of Uber Eats deliveries for them. They have 3 locations in Concord, and Pleasant Hill.

The food was fresh, amazing, and plentiful. I can't wait to visit this restaurant on my return trip. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant , this place is definitely worth your time and money.

Pleasant hill location is my go to for Carne asada plate. Very good seasoning. Love the beans and rice. Cashier always friendly and gets my order right. Love the spicy salsas. Outdoor seating available.

Large portions and reasonable prices. A must return. Had the rolled tacos and also ended up buying two packs of handmade Pupusas to-go! It is crowded, and there is always a line but you'll understand why. Go check it out and don't be intimidated by their long lines, it's just that good that is always packed but it's so worth it!!

Really good Al Pastor (BBQ Pork), generous serving size, very good salsa bar and pretty quick service unless during the M-F lunch rush. Worth waiting for. Hubby loved their carnitas super burrito and my friend loves their guacamole. In this shopping center that has more then one Mexican restaurant I prefer going here.

I don't think people realize all of the points it takes to run something, and keep it running. Into that I will say I hope you give yourself just as much credit for your abilities to stay open that she's so kindly extended to me as well. don't sell yourself short on the effort you are putting in because they are paying off although exhaustingly so, no doubt. Pupusas are good here, our favorites are the ones made of rice flour, burritos are good but not the best I have tried. Can't say much about the rest of the food but we all have different tastes, good luck with your visit!

Their tacos are to die for. I usually do the package that allows maximum meat coverage, so I do the chicken, carnitas, carne asada and al pastor. The package I get also offers rice, beans, grilled veggies, quesadillas and all the condiments (dif salsas, sour cream, cheese, onions, EVERYTHING). Pricing is pretty reasonable for what you get. Usually the taco guys will arrive about an our or so before service to set up, then when guests arrive, they are ready to serve (three hours). When done, if there are leftovers, they will box up for you but you need to provide the containers. I’ve always had a great experience with them and will continue to use them for future events.

Real mexican food! Everythings good here. My favorite are there Pupusas tho. They never disappoint & there prices are reasonable for the amount of food they give you. If u happen to stop in irecommend after lunch and early dinner, they are packed at lunch & for dinner pretty much til they close. They are also open til midnight everyday! Happy eating!

Great service. Carnitas Regular burrito was great portion but a bit too salty on the meat. Burrito was a bit too dry as well. Recommend getting it 'wet'.

Large menu of Salvadorean and Mexican meals, they're also open late, food is a hit and miss, no consistency with burritos or guac, it's more of a sauce than actual guacamole. Highly recommend Fajitas plate, tortas, platanos and nachos.

Pupusas are great!! We really like getting the mixed pupusas along with the fried plantains plate (plantains are always ripe and tasty). Yum!!

The food was yummy but they forgot avocado with my ceviche and the crispy tostada is not large enough for the ceviche. Make sure you get lots of extra chips to enjoy with all the fish.

Needed to find a place that served pupusas for my daughter's Spanish project, and they were open after 9:00pm, so we went in and ordered three pupusas which were really good, they were served fresh and hot with curtido and sauce. Yum! We also ordered three street tacos, chicken, al pastor and carne asada. They did not disappoint! We found NO goblins. Service was good, they weren't particularly fast or markedly slow. The folks we encountered were pleasant and efficient. We will definitely go back.

Endless menu with dessert options. Fast and friendly service. You won’t usually have to wait longer 10 mins for your food. Great for lunch, dinner, or dessert.

The food is great.. one complaint, there is a lady that works who always rolls her eyes when you ask for extra sauce. I ordered two burritos so just politely asked for 2nd set of sauce for second burrito. And the eye roll was not nice.

They make all their tortilla's by hand. How do they get them so thin? Love this place because they have fresh salsa, and different sides like grilled onion, jalapenos, and radish salads. It's always nice to find something different especially for Mexican food. Truly authentic and they have a lot of options for vegetarians.

The food here is always solid. Sometimes you do get better meals than other times but I’ve been eating here for 10 plus years and I have never felt regret from ordering. Always reliable for pupusas, burritos, mariscos, chilaquiles, breakfast, sweet treats, chiles rellenos and quesadillas. Tacos aren’t usually worth the visit unless it’s taco Tuesday because that deal is really good. But I haven’t tried anything I’ve named. Anyways it’s a really good place to get food!

Very friendly staff and solid food. I always get the carnitas because they're consistently good. They're a little crisp and still juicy. They always add lots of meat on my burrito. It's a small restaurant with about a dozen tables and it's usually busy even in the middle of the day. They usually have freshly fried chips and a nice selection of salsas.

Food was good, but it's not express. it's like 40mins to get your food out. Call ahead if you're getting take out. Hopefully they'll do it when you call and not when you show up.

Place is good but way too disorganized when they get busy. I waited for over an hour for simple a to go order of two pupusas and a juice. They never called my number and after going 9 past that number, I discovered that the food was ready sitting on the counter in the back. They said it had been sitting there for a while. The juice was not ready and apparently forgotten. In the past I have also found to-go orders missing stuff once I got home.

I ordered a super burrito with shredded chicken and refried beans. They totally missed the beans all together and extremely salty meat. My bf had Carne asada and his was very salty as well. After every bite seemed like more Salt was added.. they have a wide variety of desserts which I want to come back for, now it's a maybe. Pupusas take 20 min. Which is what I wanted but the wait was not in my cards this time. Maybe... maybe I'll come back, but so many other mexican/Salvadoran places to try in Concord area. My husband and I went in there at 10:43pm and the lady behind the counter said they're closed. Okay can we do take out we asked. No sorry we're closed. But it says you don't close till 11: 00pm. No we need time to clean up. we're closed sorry. Well, there's always Denny's.

The food here was too greasy, salty and a bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area. Their fruit smoothie tasted like vanilla ice cream. I ordered a smoothie, not a vanilla malted milkshake.

Personally I think it's average at best I'm sure there's some good dishes but on top of it being average I have been to this place a dozen times and honestly I never feel welcome I always feel like they serve me because they have to and every time I use my card the screen pops up for tip no matter what.. take out or not.. making me feel obligated because she is staring at me and with card I had to spend five or more dollars when I just got a drink this time so I ordered chips and salsa and it was just a handful of chips and salsa containers in a tiny bag for almost $2 I felt I should have been overloaded since I did tip besides they usually give them away so of course nothing to make me really want to go back so I would rather go to a taco truck any day

The pork meat has too much fat in it, I must have ate only half of the meat. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectation which is an understatement. The food is overpriced for the very poor quality. I hope I don’t get sick.

I’ve ordered here over 5x the past 2 months at the same time for the same 50$ order. All of a sudden 1/23 I’m being told I cannot order ahead, I must wait until I get there. They refused to take my order and my payment and told me to call someone else.

Food there was terrible. The meat tasted like rubber and it tasted like it was preheated. Customer service is horrible there took forever to take my orders. And when she finally did she was giving attitude for no reason.

Ordered from DoorDash…. I payed $60 worth of food & they gave me 2 side salsas. Do not recommended

Slow, they make you wait for no reason

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. First of all, it stinks so bad in there like sewage, it turns your stomach. My fiancee and I ordered 2 burritos to go. We sat down right at the front to wait for our order. We waited for 20mins and I finally went up there to ask why it was taking so long for 2 burritos and she said its been done this whole time. They only said the order in spanish and we dont speak spanish. She took my order down in english so I know she could speak english as she talked to me in english. As I was waiting for my food we made eye contact a few times and not once did she tell me my order was ready. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. So we left, brought our cold food home and started eating. TO TOP IT OFF, MY FIANCE FINDS A WHOLE HAIR IN HIS BURRITO!! We ended up just throwing away. I do not reccomend this place if you want sanitary food and good customer service!! I will never be going back here.

Tacos.. We always get the tacos from here so that's what this review is about. Sometimes the food is great, but lately it's been comically bad theres so much sauce/grease you cant even pick up the tacos without them falling apart. The staff have a 50/50 chance of getting your order right normally and if you order through door dash no matter your choice of meat your going to get chicken. Save ur money and pass on this place my 2 cents.

Ordered ahead, came in they said it wasn't ready. Tried giving me other peoples food after i kept telling them what my order was. Then said i didn't pay yet so thats why they couldn't give me my order.

I ordered 2 super burritos. I was charged an extra $1.50 per burrito because I wanted Asada. I also asked for refried beens for both burritos and did not receive refried. Pinto beans in both. My total for 2 burritos was $27. For that price I expect the order to be right. I didn't get any chips either. I went to the restaurant's online website to see if it is listed that the "meat" of a burrito costs extra. It does not. Asada is listed as an option to choose with no extra cost. My family will never go back to this restaurant.

Our to-go crispy tacos were completely drowned in sour cream, it was like taco soup. We posted a picture of it as well. We drove 5 minutes home and the tacos were falling apart. The sides were covered in the sour cream and guac was just thrown onto the platter all over everything rather than IN the tacos. Couldnt even pick them up. $20 for 4 inedible tacos..horrible execution

This was my first time ordering from this place. We ordered multiple items from the menu. Unfortunately, the meat was very dry and looked like it was old. I’m really disappointed because this place was recommended by multiple people.

Yjis used to be our "To go" taqueria place, but the food was cold. (The cheese on top wasn't even melted.) Prices went up but it's not like the food was more delicious. I'm not sure if they have a different cook, but it didn't taste the way it used to.

Smallwr mear portions with my order. Food taste good but the meat portion is very small. I don't think I will come back.

My Daughter went here at 12am Friday for food with her two children and woke up to covid. workers should not be working over food if they are sick. Putting others are risk!! Never buy food from them again.

4/9/24 - 11:30am taco Tuesday. Ordered 4 carnitas, 2 al pastor, total 8. Short cashier girl lacks customer service manners. Got home to eat, the meat was OLD, STALE & DRIED up Hard - like shredded cardboard! How they can dare serve that old stale meat to anyone & charge for that obvious few days leftover, reheated meat to the point it is dry and is no longer considered quality meat!! Last few times at Los Gallos have been terrible. Been going there around 5 years. The burritos are no longer quality made and the gal said chips would be in the bag, got home and NO chips!! This taqueria has gotten so cheap they have to hide their chips now instead of self service. Food given to me on the take out orders have been horrible quality - geez have some manners when a customer walks in!! Stop giving your throw away cardboard meat to customers!! A report should go to the health department!!

I just picked up my order from here normally the food is decent and it’s open late and it close to my house, butttttt tonight the customer service was not very good. I ordered my daughter a taco plate with no sauce or onion or cilantro. And when I got home her taco plate was spilled over with sauce and onions and cilantro. Look it’s not the end of the world but it is frustrating spend my hard earned money and they give you bad service and attitude when I called them to see what could be done. I got there at 11:35 got my food at 11:45pm and I was asked to leave even though there posted hours was until 12am . I had other grilled chicken which tasted like plastic probably reheated like 30 times. Same goes to my buddy's plate had chicken fajitas. Taqueria Los gallos use to be really good food and fresh back in the days. Management if you listening please go back to freshly made food instead of reheated rather wait than fast. Side note cashier was really polite and lasdy was in charge was really rude doesn't have customer service skills.

I come here often and recently theres been too many mistakes. Last week I ordered steak nachos and some tacos just meat no sauce and a chimichanga. I got tacos with onions and sauce. Instead of steak nachos I got a shrimp super burrito! The chimichanga was correct. Today I went in again I tried to order over the phone but was told I couldn't add avocado to a burrito so I walked in. I was 2nd in line n it took 10mins for someone to take orders. I finally placed my order and got the wrong thing. I got a reg burrito, Just meat beans n rice, and got rung up as a super burrito instead. I love this place but this is just 2 of the times my order has been incorrect. Super disappointed.

First time going here. We normally go to the one in Todos Santos Unfortunately we will not be returning. When we walked in we were completely ignored by the staff. They kept peeking around from the back to see if we were still standing there and of course we were. Finally an employee popped out but was quick to hit us with the "Sorry no English" So my buddy started talking to him in Spanish. The employee didn't seem happy at this & reluctantly went to find our order. When he finally emerged with our order he threw it on the counter & disappeared into the back. Now on to the food. Super Burrito was okay but the Flautas Dinner was completely missing the beans & rice. Anyway like I said above, we will Not Be Returning

I usually dont complain or post a review. But I'm disappointed at this taqueria. I have been going to this place a few times since many years and I don't know if the employees are new or not but the day I went last week the cashier was not patient and one of the cooker was rude and to my surprise when I got home with my food inside the nacho order someone put the order recipe crumble on top of my nacho food. I calleded the next day to complain to the manager or owner and I was told that he comes late and no time was given. I would not order food from this place again.

Ordered an asada burrito to go and waited for 50 minutes. AND If that doesn’t sound bad enough. I also came to find out that they had given me a Shrimp burrito…. Not carne asada like I had ordered. I am allergic to shrimp and I can not believe that I had such an awful experience at what they like to call a restaurant.

Had three bad experiences in a row now. First I ordered two tacos and they forgot about me months ago. I waited for 40 minutes while the employees goofed off until I asked what was going on and then they started my order after realizing their mistake. Second experience I ordered a super burrito and got a regular one. Third I ordered a burrito with guacamole and paid extra and never got the guacamole. Come on people! Three times in a row. I gave you a chance

Waited 40 minutes for my food standing l. Finally asked what happened to my food. And they realized they never started it. First time being let down here. But this shouldn’t happen when I spend $70 here every Sunday

I waited for 40 minutes for an $8 door dash. They take so long. I wish they could put the doordash ONLY when the item is ready and not start the order only when we get there. Some of us don’t have money and work very hard. When we have to wait for the order to be ready we lose money and it is NOT okay. I wish I could have been compensated for my time.

I'm a huge temper! I read reviews on a restaurant I want to eat at and I always give a very fair totally unbiased review after I have been somewhere. The one star was based on the probability that their food make have actually been good. I walked in on a Monday evening and they weren't busy so I went up to the counter to place my order to go. I looked at the menu on the wall behind the counter as 2 women who worked there totally ignored me. No smiles, no hello, no would you like a seat, nothing. The one whispered something to the other, who I think was the cook since she walked back into the kitchen. I'm pretty sure she was telling her: "no eye contact remember? Do. Not. Make. Eye contact with her." Lol. Just joking. After about 5 minutes one of them asked me if I knew what I wanted as she passed me by, I turned around and said to her as she kept walking, "I'd like to place an order to go." I continued staring at the menu in from of me as she kept passing me back & forth. I saw a sign that said they had Pupusas. Jackpot!! I was so excited. I've only had them once before at another place and I loved them. So that's what I was going to order. I stood at the counter being ignored as she continued rushing past me as if she had more than 3 tables of singles, who by the way had all ordered the self serve taco bar! She literally never looked at me. Maybe she was having a really bad day or she hates her job, I have no idea. She just had a blank look on her face. Either way, it's really poor customer service. I always give a second chance to a restaurant if the service was great but the food wasn't up to par, but if I go to a place that has outstanding food- if their customer service is terrible...no second chances from me. I will not be back. There is no excuse for poor customer service. I grew up in a family where my parents owned 2 restaurants and if the customers gave them a bad review due to poor service, the customer was invited back for a free meal and my father would personally wait in them. That's true customer service! A nice smile and greeting as you walk into a place can go along way (even get you a bigger tip$$) and when that is lacking in customer service- it can make or break a restaurant. Buh-bye

Doesn't the staff know that preparing food requires following hygiene standards? The girl who makes the famous pupusas has her hair down. I was recommended this place, but I don't think I'll try them, at least not from here.

Bit into my burrito and found a piece of plastic, which means I lost my appetite and I threw the burrito in the garbage and I went to bed hungry. This establishment has workers that are not careful and are careless when they make their food, saying it's sn accident is BS, I could've choked and the carelessness and "accident" could've led me to the ER. For anyone's safety and we'll being i highly recommend to avoid this restaurant. And the tortilla skin used for my wife's burrito tasted old and shd has thrown her burrito away before my surprise happened.

Dry and taste old. nothing was fresh or even close to it. horchata drink not good. We left 4 tacos on the table we couldn't eat. Management unable to do anything but a credit on next purchase. not going back.

My Daughter went here at 12am Friday for food with her two children and woke up to covid. workers should not be working over food if they are sick. Putting others are risk!! Never buy food from them again.
