Exceptional Lunch Experience at Torchy’s Tacos! Stopped in for lunch and had one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, upbeat atmosphere — and the service was absolutely stellar. Monika, the manager, was incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was running smoothly. Her professionalism and genuine hospitality made a big impression. And Amber, our bartender, was amazing — friendly, fast, and mixing up some seriously refreshing lunchtime drinks. Her energy behind the bar really elevated the whole experience. The food was out of this world — fresh, flavorful, and just the right kind of bold you expect from Torchy’s. Every taco hit the mark, and the quality was top-notch. I rarely give any restaurant 5 🌟 as there's always room for improvement. However, Torchy's Conroe proved me wrong. The Vagabond monthly special taco is perfection! Get in my belly now. The place is big but not noisy, huge bar, and fast and friendly service. Does your Torchy's have a drive-through? Mine does! No you shut up, for realz! My new favorite go-to place in my new city!

They are obviously not Mexican tacos but they are really good Tex mex tacos. We ordered a platter of chicken, beef and vegetables and it was ok, the best of the night were the Baja tacos and the sausage taco. We dined in at this location for the first time last week. We frequent various Torchy’s locations depending on where we are, so knew what we wanted and expected consistency from our previous experience’s. The staff was friendly enough, took our order, and we sat ourselves. Tables were clean, restaurant was well lit, and the iced tea was ready. The ice machine must have been broken or something because the ice was just sitting in a bucket with a scoop next to the soda machine. Chips and queso were delicious! We love the way they top it with a bit of diablo sauce, cilantro, and spoonful or guacamole! So yummy! The portion of chips they provide, however, seems to keep getting smaller, but they were fresh, just wish we had more. Not too big of a deal, but I guess either this location, or maybe Torchys has changed, but they put the sauce directly on the taco. Which would’ve been fine except I asked for different sauce when I ordered and they didn’t ring it or put it on the taco. I also ordered the trailer park trashy, it came normal. They young man who brought the food back did take it back to the kitchen for me and they corrected it, but they just took the lettuce off and added queso. Again, no big deal for me, but some people might have allergies to lettuce (I have a family member who is) and this didn’t seem like the best approach. Ultimately, I did get what I ordered but had to ask more than one person. Still love Torchys and will likely return to this location when we’re in the area! It seems like a popular location as it was fairly busy for 8p, so It seems other people love it as well.

I didn’t like service one in the woodlands so I came here to try again. I ordered shrimp taco and frozen margaritas to go. I got home it wasn’t shrimp it was meat taco. I hope people more carefully when serving customers. Atmosphere was lot nicer and cleaner than one on research forest.

I'm never coming back here and let me tell you why. As I walk in I realize they replaced 2/3 cashiers with giant tablets. As I finish entering my order the tablet flashes a message "there's a issue sending your order to the kitchen contact a staff member for help". At this point I've already spent 10 minutes waiting in line and ordering, so 10 minutes wasted. I have to wait another 5 minutes to talk to the cashier about what to do. The cashier is a young girl, high school age. She doesn't know what I'm talking about and then I tell her this message is still on the screen if you want to read it. She goes and reads it and then she goes to grab a manager because she doesn't know what to do. Now if you're keeping a tally, that's three registers nicked down to one operating register. She grabs the manager and the manager just repeats what is on the screen and what is written on my receipt. I finally get my order entered, it's been over 20 minutes at this point. All the while this was happening the manager (white lady, short cut hair) has zero awareness. She walked from the kitchen to the seating area at least four times and not once noticed that no one was using the second ordering screen. And it was frozen like this for at least 8 minutes. On top of that she did not offer to discount or comp my meal after I waited over 20 minutes to finally input the order. This is what food service has become nowadays, you replace things with ordering screens and they freeze up and the management is so dreadfully unaware, that it's a massive inconvenience for the customer and it wasted over 20 minutes of my life. And the manager knew that poor little cashier was inexperienced and she didn't check up on her once! She didn't even seem to care that the line backed up, I doubt she even noticed. At least look around at your surroundings every now and then, at least check in with your cashier, that is the literal job of a food service manager. I'm a lover of Torchy's and I'm never returning. From the time I walked in, to the time I received my food, it took just over 40 minutes, over half of that time was spent at the ordering counter. You get faster service at a Chili's. When I finished placing my order at the giant tablet, my friend went to go order a frozen margarita at the bar. By the time I sat with her she was nearly done with the margarita. So she was able to order a drink, receive said drink and then nearly finish it by the time I sat down with her. That manager shouldn't be a manager, I don't think I've ever seen someone less aware of their environment than her. Don't come here, go somewhere else unless you want to order food in a completely time-inefficient environment.

We placed a mobile order on a Saturday Night (I recognize that is likely their busiest night), we made the mistake of using the “Drive-Thru” to pick up the order. Sat for 45 minutes in the “no escape lane” curbed drive thru. When we finally got to the pickup window the Order was ready but cold by the time we got it. So not only did we wait an obscene amount of time, we got cold food. We learned our lesson (will park and go in for mobile orders from now on) but still seems a little ridiculous.

WE DON’T WANT TO ORDER USING A KIOSK. Got a burrito, only 2 or 3 small pieces of chicken on the ENTIRE thing, and MAYBE a teaspoon of guac. Should have gone to Freebirds. Even Taco Bell would have been better. I won’t return. The owner says we can order from a human and that’s not true. There wasn’t a human at the counter to order from! Customer service is dead 💀
