Updating my last review of three stars to five stars. When I reviewed this restaurant 10 months ago I wasn't very happy, after returning 10 months later staff is great, food is good thank you.

Awesome location. Food is always fresh. Daijah is always on top of her customer service. Great place.

Best chicken around. Tenders are plump and juicy and seasoning is on point. This is my go-to spot when visiting my daughter. Staff is friendly.

I've never had the fried fish a Chicken Express before and it was exceptionally good too! The fried chicken especially the spicy variant has always been a favorite.

Laci was such a big help! I ordered a 40 tender meal for my family and she helped me make sure everything was correct and fresh definitely coming back here!!

Today the food was way off, the chicken breading wasn't cooked all the way, and the biscuits were flat little pucks. If the biscuits are bad, don't serve them.

Guy with the pony tail is super cool! Waiting in line asked for 1 ketchup and the guy gave me 4! Super great. If you want lots of ketchup make sure you get this guy!

4 years ago when I lived in Hickory Creek, I would eat at this store 3 to 4 times a week. I now live in Lake Dallas, so I finally had a chance to eat here again. Nothing has changed at this location. The service, the food and a clean place to eat is still the same, OUTSTANDING!!!!

The chicken is always excellent but last night we had two sides of gravy one was perfect and the other was what look to be watered down. Hands down the chicken is always excellent and this was the first experience we had with a problem with their gravy. I would definitely recommend

I went to Chicken Express tonight. The food was great, as expected. However, I was more impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Not only were they polite and respectful towards me, they were polite and respectful towards each other in the back.

This Chicken Express continues to dominate. Best Chicken in town. Fast and friendly service. The inside dinning area is always super clean.

Chicken E is always great. It doesn't matter if it's chicken or fish and the sides are always on point. Even though everyone knows, I'll say it...the sweet tea is always right! I do enjoy this location because the staff is always so helpful and nice.

Nearly always have good service and food here. Chicken breast, tenders, cookies, fries, corn on the cob, and rolls all great. The bisquits can be great but at some point they almost seemed to be frying them which was inedible but don’t think I’ve ever found a place I liked evrything.

I have never been to a chicken express that was so attentive to my order. They not only brought my food out, but also came to see if I needed anything else. They were so friendly and welcoming. The chicken was hot and fresh, which is also a plus! The French fries were also great. The tables were clean and the space was inviting. I'd take a trip to come back to this location again!

Well we normally drive up to get our food tonight I made the mistake of using Uber Eats’s.. order arrived Half of it.. Here is the Great thing I call the store even though it is through Uber just wanted to let them know “BTW the Uber driver mucked up the orders” I get Steve the owner on the phone by chance.. Let me explain something when a Restaurant goes with a meal delivery they are not responsible for the driver, or the driver mixing up orders and should not be. But Steve went above and Beyond, way beyond actually I had hit the buttons in Uber Eats , tried to call the driver, and sent the refund form already.. Now Steve is out the money for the order as Uber Eats does not hold their Drivers accountable at all. Steve knowing this Still wanted to make things right, He cooked the right food and we went to pick it up, he Went above and beyond.. He could have told me to kick rocks take it up with Uber Eats, he did the right thing even when it cost him money, they already had our Weekly order on Sundays because they do chicken right. They now have garnered my respect, as well as making me want to ensure I Stop in to this location more than just once a Week. Steve your integrity as a Business Owner is something not so common anymore, thank you Sir, I hope your Managers and Employee’s continue to follow in your footsteps.

Laci, one of the managers at this location, was absolutely phenomenal!! If I could give her 10 stars for her customer service I would! She was so kind and extremely helpful. I don’t know how much she is getting paid at this job, but whatever it is, she deserves a raise. It’s hard to find employees who actually care about the customers experience, but Laci did just that! By far the BEST Chicken Express I have ever visited!

I ordered the 15 piece tenders meal and 2 drinks. The tenders were not regular sized but so small they fit in a box meant for rolls! I went to the Corinth location to get the special but won't do it again Part 2- The owner of this location reached out to me and offered to replace my dinner. When I arrived he greeted me personally and it was such a pleasure to meet him. I felt my business matters and I will now return to this location in the future. Thank you Steven!

Went through the drive thru and my order was made to perfection. I was surprised at how crispy the fried okra was , the chicken was cooked perfectly as well. Hailey greeted me at the window and apologized for the long wait (it wasn't that long) and handed me everything I ordered with nothing missing. She was very polite and made sure I had everything i ordered before I left. I give this 5 stars.

I am updating my review from earlier, and I am very happy that the chicken is always fresh and super-hot and well cooked. I still closely check my order for accuracy and it should definitely be noted that they invariably add an extra tender to the order, but you should always check on the other items. Absolutely an improvement. ******************************************* I am tired of not getting what I paid for at this Chicken Express. It has happened each of the past 4 times I have been there. I usually ignore it but tonight is too much. I ordered and paid for 7 chicken tenders - dinner for 2. With mashed potatoes and gravy I paid $19. The picture shows the tenders we got for our money. I've tried calling but nobody is answering. I even asked the cashier to check my order, but she didn't have to she said, because she packed it herself. Every darned time

Takeout only drive-through only. There's not enough staff to keep the dine in going. You will have to go through. It's fast food, It is fried Chicken it is what it is. At least their food is consistent and tasty.

It was really good this time. The food was hot and good this time. I got full for 6.00 dollars.

Last week, we stopped by here to check out the restaurant and get a taste of what they had to offer. My spouse did not really like the fried food. The kids did enjoy what they had to offer here. We tried a little bit of everything they had on the menu after the kids said they wanted different items. The workers inside were friendly and seem to be efficient getting our food out. I didn't use the drive-thru for our order since we wanted to see what the place had on menu.

The chicken was hot had to wait 20 mins but was worth the wait it was tasty yum... Loved every bite. Will go again for sure. Please look for deals which is usually not on the main board. I ordered the 8 piece with a side. Which was more than the the deal they had 10 piece for 9.99 which I saw after I made the order. I took one star off as I did expect the server would help me to find a better deal. Well didn't happen but food was yummy.

Good fried chicken that isn't as greasy as other restaurants. Ordered the 4-piece tender combo meal, received 5 tenders. Nice surprise. Really like the corn nuggets. Not a healthy meal at all but good meal when you don't want to be healthy

There is a lunch special that is not pictured yet. There are 3 things that make this place stand out for me. 1st the lunch 3 tender meal is a deal. 2 They have an absurd amount of dipping sauces to choose from. It's worth going in to look and choose. 3rd The french fries are battered and fried which makes them extra crispy and tasty.

The food is usually good. The service is good. If you order from home for pickup, add 10-15 minutes in addition to when they tell you the food will be ready.

Fish was not at temp but everything else was on point. Had the fish been as hot as the okra, I withholds given 5 stars.

The quality of their food has definitely gotten better. Ive never had a problem with ride service here, but u will have to wait for your food when they are busy

My last visit here was not good, my fries were cold, no one likes cold food.

Ya know the best thing here is the Catfish..it's pretty terrific. Actually some of the best fried Catfish I've ever had. The chicken is underseasoned and bland. Sides are nearly inedible. Three stars for the fish alone.

This was my 1st time for this chain and have been wanting to try it out. Several comments to share. The young lady that took our order, a POC, was outstanding! I went to the beverage area and dispensed myself some unsweetened Tea and as I went to drink it, it had the same smell as old stagnant water. It was disgusting, I poured it out and dispensed myself some more tea and it had the same repugnant odor. I took it to the cashier and she smelled the same thing. She then took it over to a woman whom I assume was her Manager and the manager balked at it, refused to smell it and she did nothing about it. She basically ignored the whole situation, turned back and went about her business. The young lady at the cashier totally took command, offered a clean cup and instructed me. to help myself to a different type of beverage. We had ordered 2 beverages but the other member in my party didn’t want any part of th beverage area. So the young lady who took our order came over and offered an extra side for the inconvenience. This young lady was the epitome of Customer Service and she should be recognized for that. I would come back to this location because of her. As far as the manager. I would never come back to this location because of her inaction and complete dismissal of us, her customers. The young lady that was the cashier should be the manager of this store and this manager we encountered needs to go,to,Customer Service training.

If you do a drive thru order, check your bag before you leave. We ordered three, two piece fish dinners that should have come with two sides for each. The cashier read back the order to us before paying and the receipt listed it all correctly. When we got home to eat the meal we found that we only received three sides so we were missing three sides. We have eaten there before in the dining room and used the drive thru without problems. But so disappointing when you are ready to eat at the house and your order is incorrect or missing items. My advice is check it before you leave!

I read previous reviews before going so I wasn't expecting a super fast turnaround. Two family meals took a little over 15 minutes to receive. The hushpuppies, corn nuggets, green beans and fried pickles were a hit. The chicken was really pale and not a golden brown. I think a few minutes in the air fryer and they'll be fine. Mixed feelings on the fish. I had a coupon so I wasn't too disappointed, but I was hoping for better and a reason to return. The inside of the store was clean. The employees were polite, but not friendly. No one smiled.

We do a family meal about once a month or so from CE. Our last visit was subpar to what I am used to. The staff seemed a bit tired or stressed, and it showed in their interactions. We ordered 30 tenders, and when I got home.i found they had done a 15/15 split of regular and spicy, but never asked me about it when I ordered. The food is decent and I'll be back, but I hope it is a better experience.

Very disappointed in the quality of the food today. Normally it's very good. I ordered 2 of the 4 piece tender meals. The chicken tenders were smaller than normal and overcooked and tough. Coming here is always a treat for myself and my daughter and today I am very regretful that I spent my money here.

So a couple of friends, family and myself have gone to this place several times and each time they forget an important part of the order. I used to just grab my food and leave because I do not have time to just search through my big order, but after the 4th time I felt like I had no choice but to slowly and calmly look at my food

I haven't visited a Chicken Express in probably over a year and because of the service I received today, I will most definitely NOT be returning to this location. My drive through attendant, Sara (according to my receipt) started the exchange very poorly, with little enthusiasm and takes my order and only ask what she's needs to, no "how may I help you today?" Or anything...I excuse it and pull through. She opens the window, says not a SINGLE WORD to me but just stares, I ended up greeting her with a "Hello", she says nothing in response...I finally just hand her my card. She comes back, hands it to me, I say "thank you". No response. She then hands me my food, I say "thank you" again. NO RESPONSE again, and then closes the window on me. I literally just had an entire transaction with an employee who never spoke to me aside from taking my order. This is completely unacceptable. I've worked in customer service my whole life, and as such I understand that people have bad days and generally slough it off and keep a positive attitude on my end but this exchange was deplorable.

Have not been since its under new manage ment but my experiences were horrible here. They would say they were out of breasts or thighs because they didnt want to cook any additional chicken when they ran out. My mom got food poisoning from under cooked chicken and the employees were like hoodlums that ran the store.

last order chicken was all batter,a few strings of chicken... all of the family SIZE sides are half full.... rolls were raw . we are a family of seven... We routinely used to a couple of orders a monthly thing..At over 50.00 or more.. i have noticed your product quality is slipping so back to kfc bye bye

We eat there regularly, but today i ordered the fish combo, i got old dry fish paid for a 3 piece meal got 2 , disappointing. I was charged for the 3 piece. Not a satisfied customer to say the least.

With the global pandemic going on right now, everyone should be taking precautions. No one inside was wearing gloves or face masks. Every other fast food place I have been to is doing everything they can to protect their customers, except here. I will not be going back again.

The food was good. It took them forever to get the food ready. I was going to order fish, but they said it would be a 6 minute wait time so I changed my order. To my surprise, I still waited more than 6 minutes for my order.

Every time we go to the Corinth location they leave something out of our order. The last time we went the okra was cold and like rubber. The chicken has always been sub par barely any taste and the gravy well more like peppered water. But for fast food that's what you get.

Got normal chicken fingers and not the spicy ones i ordered. And a weird stale biscut and gravy, i ordered mozzarella sticks. Besides that, the fries were stale and chicken was boring, and the jalapeño poppers were soggy and gross. Just go to Canes.

Took for ever to get my food and kept messing up my order

The gravy was cold and yes like others have said is very watered down. The french fries were the worst I have seen at 6pm. Then the cashier took longer then necessary with my debit card which she typed the numbers and made me uncomfortable as a manager then looked over at her. Also the cashier had very long inappropriate nails for work and that should be saved for her off days. I am not going to be going back to this establishment in the future.

Fine most of the time, but three times now I've gotten gravy that was watered down, to the point of being as runny as the drink I got. They're cheap enough that they'd rather dilute the gravy with too much water than to just make more sometimes. Imagine if Subway just started mixing their mayo with water whenever they were low. Saving pennies but losing dollars in the long run when people don't come back as often or at all, like myself. That's a big risk to take considering there are too many fast food restaurants just down the street that won't mess up my basic sides like that.

Food was good but they messed up my order twice. First time they forgot the utensils, plates and also the fries. After going back to get the fries the forgot the utensils and plates again. They didn’t seem all that busy but to mess up simple things twice is weird. I don’t know if this place is under new ownership or management but the service has really gone downhill. I have never been so upset, I’ve worked very hard today, I even told my wife that I was ordering chicken express because it always brightens my day, expect when your chicken arrives cold, and mash potatoes are cold. I don’t microwave chicken, but why would I need too? Very last time I order anything from this location. 😤

Just went through drive through and no employees were wearing gloves including shift supervisor. Supervisor was wiping hands on all horizontal surfaces by the food bins. Sad, but I had to leave leave without getting my food.

Worst chicken express asked for extra extra crispy drove a hour just to get here and went back home and opened up my order and it looks like it was actually under cooked pink inside. Asked for honey and seasoning did not receive but one damn packet of seasoning no honey I do not recommend this place and check your food before leaving

This location takes at least 20-30 minutes to get your order whether its just one side, or chicken meal. Nobody in line ahead of me. And at least 5 to 6 employee walking around inside. Absolutely the worst!

Dear Chicken Express PEOPLE! Your chicken and service is awful! Instead of shaking your butts and making TIKTOKS, why not take some pride in your work and try to do better! Chicken is greasy! The Roll was soaked in grease! And grease covered the bottom of the container that my greasy food was in! I won't be back! Ya'll suck!

Your choice of poison? Not a Health Food establishment. But who doesn't like A piece of Fried Something once in awhile. Down South! Personally I prefer Brown Gravy Add that as a choice!

We just made a trip to the drive thru, we ordered a 12 piece meal, we didn't receive one of our family size side. I called them to notify and it just rang until someone hung up, called again same thing. I will be making a stop in tomorrow to get a refund, and will never return again!!!!

Worst service ever. I called order in to be picked up. She said it would be ready in 16min. Got there to pick it up and ended up waiting a total of 45 min for my order. I called the new owner and he was unconcerned, so my next order of fried chicken will be going to KFC. This happened on 4/9/17.

Ordered family size mashed potatoes and family size Mac and cheese to go with pork chops my hubby made. Get home and find out they gave me family size gravy and a freezing cold family size Mac and cheese. Called to let them know and the phone just rang and rang and rang. Called 4 times. Took a picture for proof and will be taking this up there since their employees are too lazy to answer the phone at their job! VERY unhappy.

This is absolutely the worst place ever. They are the rudest person on the box at 9pm on Saturday night. Not sure what I did besides order my food. I used to come here a lot and doesn't look like there is a whole lot of business here anymore but she just lost one more customer.

Well I left work to go get me something to eat at 430pm because I work 2/10pm and got my food and got back to work and everything was cold and my roll looked like someone bit off it, well I called the store and the young lady told me to bring it back and I explained to her that I can't leave work again and she said that she couldn't replace my order per policy unless I bring it back. I spent 12 dollars on a cold meal that should have been hot in the first place, that should be your policy, serve fresh product. I told the young lady I would not be back. Remind you I work maybe 6 or 7 minutes from this store, probably less.

Worst CE ever. 2 times I've gone here, and both times, food has been wrong. Not like I'm ordering a steak. Just chicken strips. Sides have never been right. I'd be more receptive to the issues if there was a language barrier. It wasn't.

They have messed up my orders the last three times I've been there. My family meals total $90+ and I never get what I order and when I've gone back and explain, nothing gets done about it. Third time in a row was a super charm. My money will go to Highland Village store for now on.

Would love my whole order to be right. Ordered two chicken tender dinners. Order 4 honey mustard sauces. Asked at the window if they were in the box since they weren’t in the bag. He said yes. Well when I got home there wasn’t. And I can tell you I can’t eat chicken tender without sauce.

I am normally pleased when I do finally get ahold of somebody to put a order in but it seems to be getting worse. I probably call twice a week and cannot even get through. So maybe once a month is all I ever get through and get food. I have tried 3 different times tonight to get through and it just rings and rings and rings every time.

Went to this location about a year ago. The chicken had the taste of old grease. Today decided to give it another try and since they had fried catfish I bought catfish along with chicken. Took quite a while to get the order at the drive through. The catfish and chicken were both under seasoned and bland. Sorry I wanted to give it another chance but today was my last visit to Chicken Express in Corinth.

When calling this location it is almost impossible to get someone to answer. I finally got someone to answer and take my order. I was told it would be ready in 7 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later on to wait 10 minutes while they “cooked” my food. It gets worse. I order spicy chicken tenders and gizzards. Once I got back home, I opened up the gizzards to find they were cold. And the chicken tenders were regular instead of spicy. There are two locations in this community and both of them are horribly mismanaged. I just spent my last dollar at chicken express. Will never go back. Complaining to management and ownership does no good. Hopefully this review will help and prevent others from wasting their time and money.

This location is closest to me but the worst I've ever been too... I cringe when my family asks for CE now because of how many bad experiences I've had here. On one visit they said 5-7 minutes on chicken so I paid and waited... and waited...AND WAITED 38 MINUTES! Next visit, chicken was undercooked (after I had waited 12 minutes). Called manager, said she would replace it on my next visit. So next visit, they couldn't find any record of the credit so no replacement for the $42.00 chicken I had to throw out. Straw that broke the back... tonight 6:30... peak dinner time... they said 5-7 minutes on chicken so I left and I'm never going back! GO TO DENTON OR HIGHLAND VILLAGE!!!

Took a long time for someone to notice that we were standing at the front counter and then the kid that took our order was rude and acted like he was put out to have to take our order. When we got our order the kid that brought it to us just said is this your and didn't really know what was in the order. When we got home we did not have our corn nuggets or gravy for our for the mashed potatoes that we paid extra to have.I thought I would give them a try but they were just as rude as the last few times I have gone in there.

Lady at the window was extremely rude and seemed like she was bothered to take my card and process the payment. Practically threw the food out the window at me and when I got home the mashed potato’s could have been drank through a straw. Maybe they were running low on mashed potato mix and substituted with water. Save your money and go anywhere else for someone that cares just a little more about their job.

We ordered a 16 piece meal with our sides and one extra side. We only one side and the buns were cold and hard. I called and Lacey was the manager and was rude. At the end of the conversation she said she will only replace the missing sides. The next day, I drove all the way back out there to get my sides so we can finish eating the leftovers. I pulled up to the window and an employee opened the window and just said “yes?” I told him what happened and he just closed the window, no response. Lacey answered the window and said, you are the one missing the side? I said yes and before I could say anything else, she slammed the window closed. 10 minutes later another employee cane to the window and gave me my sides. I ordered two more sides and this employee was nice and helpful. She apologized for how Lacey reacted to me. I paid for my other sides and left. I will NOT go back to this Chicken Express, no customer service or professionalism. Young kids just standing around on there phones and no cares given. Obviously. The GM does not care how their supervisors and employees act. I am very dissatisfied on how I was treated.

I have been a frequent customer of Chicken E in Corinth, TX for over 10 years. I never spent less than $40-$50 every time I visit and the food is fresh and hot but they ALWAYS!!!!!! forget the freaking Okra. I called the manager when I got home and noticed it happened again. And she said next time I come they will give me family side. OK you are giving me what I should have had to start with???? Really. With today's gas prices it was not worth the drive back to the store for something they forgot. But seriously, check your orders before you drive away. I usually do based on previous experiences but the one time I trusted them and didn't check they screwed me. I know they deliver via Door Dash and Uber Eats, they should have sent my missing side with one of them instead of offering me a "free" side on my next visit. NO you are giving me what I should have had anyway. Jeez. and these people want $15 per/hour.

Website says close at 10 rude staff didn’t want to work so closed at 8 instead and lied saying they have no chicken when I clearly saw the greasy 250 plus guy eating chicken at the window. Horrible customer service worst chicken express by far.

Food was good. The card machine had an issue but when the manager came to tell me about it she was in sweatpants and a jacket!! Not in the proper uniform!!! On top of that she had an attitude as if she didn’t even want to be there to begin with. Don’t come to work without uniform or that kind of attitude young lady! Very unprofessional.

now I get why this place has 3.8 stars 🤦‍♂️ We purchased 12pc mix family meal and 4 tenders (we ordered FRESH SO THEY MADE US WAIT 15 TO 20MIN) Chicken was hard not fully cooked Chicken tenders were hard and cold (THEY GIVE YOU NUGGETS KIDS MEAL NUGGETS TO BE PRECISE, THEY WILL YOUR MONEY FOR VERY SMALL TENDERS) And we only got 1 freaking roll!!!! That's the best part man!!!👎 so they short us 5rolls And the worst part is the we spend our last 40 dollars to feed my family. BEST YOU CAN DO IS TO STOP COMING TO THIS PLACE .

Unfortunately, my entire family experienced food poisoning after eating only a small amount of food from here on 5/12. We suspect the oil is not being changed often enough. The service was quick and friendly but unfortunately we got sick.

I went to the drive through last night about an hour before they closed and the food was HORRIBLE!!! First, I ordered mashed potatoes as a side and was told they were out once I drive around. Okay no problem. I ordered corn fritters. The chicken breast was dark and hard in places! It was very dry! The leg was okay. They put an extra leg in my box...I guess to make up for the dry breast and dry roll. The roll was so hard it was cruchy!!! The corn fritters were good. I peeled the hard skin off the chicken breast and fed it to my dog. At least she enjoyed it. I really wish fast foods/restaurants would stop serving us garbage food! These places do not care. I will never go back here again!!! It's not cheap so at least give us what we pay for.
