Very good. Reminds me of Bay Area indian food. Quick, reasonably priced, diverse flavors & filling. I’m going back.

Get all ur drinks here
Hard to find Indian options in this area, but the food here was pretty good and well priced. Owner is very friendly and chatty, helpful too. Their kitchen is inside a liquor store and they only have takeout, but there are a couple of picnic tables near the parking lot to eat at. Was perfect for us because we were on a road trip, might not be what everyone's looking for. But great food, will eat there next time I'm in the area.
Ordered the Pakora and it was amazing!!! Absolutely recommend.
The food is awesome tasty Indian food at a very worth it price also has grocery at reasonable price … Really nice person at the counter too service food grocery everything at minimal price and good quality… Visiting from bay area and was looking for Indian food and found the perfect place
Authentic excellent Indian food, great friendly service. Highly recommended!
I can’t believe this place is not talked about more!!!!! I’m absolutely in love! I’ve never been a fan of Indian food but this places changed my view!! Butter chicken is spicy and perfect! Garlic Naan so yummy and so fresh!!! Chicken Biryani spicy and flavorful. These were my absolute favorites. Authentic fresh and worth the spontaneous pick. Will be back soon! This made me an Indian cuisine fan! *take out only!!!
Best Indian food in the area!! Such a hidden gem. We went to tonight to try it out and let me tell you!! This will be our new favorite spot! The butter chicken and the Chana Masala 10/10 recommend!! Definitely give them a try!
This place is incredible. We stumbled upon it on our way back to Portland from Sacramento and were blown away by the flavor, quality, and spice complexity. Kind of love the added charm of its very unique location (back of a liquor store), and it’s amazing convenience (right off of I5). We tried the Naan, Samosa Chaat, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Dal and all were really, really good - not just road food good, but good good. So happy we found this place! Planning to make it a regular stop on our I5 treks.
Hands down the best Indian food in the entire northstate. Tried them all, and this little hole in the wall is better than anything. The vegetarian dishes are amazing and my husband loves all the chicken and lamb dishes.
Went there, not knowing it was take-out only. The man in the front was hilarious, while my husband and I waited for our order to be made. The food was delicious, to say the least. We will definitely be back!
Not sure if previous poor reviews were from past ownership, but our experience as Portlanders driving thru Corning is that this is a fantastic stop for indian food, even though the location wouldn't hint at that. Everything has more flavor than even some of our renowned Portland indian places, it's obviously freshly made when you order, the naan is superb, everything has a nice spicy kick to it. Totally recommend.
the best food I've had an fresh I loved it definitely a great place if you want authentic awesome tasting food it's a 5 start food
Way more then just a liquor store or take out restaurant. It's an actual market place. You can get Landry soap, rice, beans, and even a selection of hot sauce. The food is great. The homemade Naan is off the charts. They are trilingual as well. I was quite impressed. Their Spanish is fluent. 100% I will return to this truck stop because they are next door.
The person that took our order was so kind we didn’t wait longer than any normal restaurant but he gave us these small hot Indian drinks that tasted like chocolate and chai while we waited they were so good, food was the best Indian food I’ve ever had!!!
Love this place. Take out only. Ask for another cup of rice if you get more than one entree. Language barrier can be an issue sometimes with the kitchen staff, have patience.
All the vegetarian food we ordered was extremely delicious! The kitchen is clean, the store holds many Indian items, snacks and desserts you can get while you wait for your food. If you only take one dish- the samosa was the highlight of our meal.
Couple of carhauler decided to grab a drink and stumbled on this spot. Y’all. Food is 🔥🔥🔥. White boy approved! Butter chicken was insane. The guys took such good care of us. Food and Service was 5 stars!!!
Vegetarian options in this lil burg...Woohoo! The Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi are my favorites!
After a long time I have found such good quality and quantity at an Indian restaurant. Dil khush ho gya.. Keep it up!
Nice delicious food 😋
Disregarding the construction and being in a pandemic (so only takeout) the food they provide to go is above and beyond. I went in as a walk in, the construction makes the business establishment look messy, but the chicken tikka massala was tasty. These guys are making do with what they can in this financial crisis, The food they serve is one of the best Indian places I've been to. I should have eaten it while it was piping hot instead of waiting about 30 minutes driving to my destination.
Outstanding! Spicy Curry Lamb with garlic bread is one of the best meals I have ever had. Food prepared fresh. Family is from Punjab.
The food tastes like home food. Not that great on the ambience side, but if you are looking for comfort Indian food then this is the place to go. Remember to order less spicy :)

Pure delicious, ordered chicken Tikka masala, Garlic Naan Bread, (get two orders), Chicken Seekh Kabab, give a good tip, I did, great food great people, three meals out this restaurant. Coming back soon, Chef is friendly, so is front desk. 5 Star's people.
Delicious, good service, open late. Carry out only. Checked out the other Asian snacks and groceries while I waited for my food. Will be coming back
I am the truck driver from Florida When I came to California or Arizona area, I always looking for truckstop with Indian food . And I always order goat curry, and chicken curry when I stop at Indian restaurant. Today 11/03/25 at 6:30pm I’m stop by here. And order same food like all the time, goat curry and chicken curry. oh my God, those guys cook absolutely different from all other Indian restaurants, the food was super delicious.👍👍👍
I had an amazing experience at Punjabi Indian Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and perfectly prepared. I also asked for the food to be made really spicy. They also gave me to try Chaý (Tea) whitch was really good. What really stood out to me, though, was the staff. Everyone was so polite, welcoming, and genuinely friendly—it made the whole experience feel warm and inviting. From the moment I walked in, I felt like a valued guest. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family. A true gem!
Stopped on our way to SF, food was very delicious! You just have to keep in mind it’s a take out place. Staff is very friendly, I modestly gave us their amazing hot tea. I was glad we found that gem 💎

UPDATE 2020 It appears that they have new owners. The food is even better. The menu offers food I don't see at other Indian restaurants. Very nice people. I was given a compliment of vegetable fritters while I waited for my take out. Fresh and delicious! They are working on changing the appearance. This is a mom and pop type place. I recommend stopping here! Hopefully they will have fixed the a/c problem by summer. Eat here!! The food is decent. It was hot but they turned a fan on for me. I ordered food to go. It doesn't have the best atmosphere but if you want good food eat here. It has a bar and bands play on Saturdays. They are doing good trying to make a living.
Good food however the first time I went they gave me a salad that I didn't have to pay for it and I really thought that was nice but the second time I went they didn't and I wondered what was different about my order so that's my only complaint plus of course there's nowhere to sit so you take your food and go
This is more of a liquor store but they do have Panjabi catering available for to go. We were on the way back to San Francisco and found this place to get Indian food. The food and service were nice. They do have some Indian grocery items if you are looking for something apart from liquors. Person at welcome desk was friendly and helpful. Malai kofta and aloo paratha was good.

*edit: I changed my rating from 1 star bc I was finally able to order on doordash and didn’t need to call anymore. However, now they’re back off doordash. So unless it comes back to doordash, I probably won’t ever eat there again and my rating will go back to 1 star. They never even answer their phone. Managed to get takout there ONCE AND ever since then they have never once picked up the phone and I love Indian so I try often.
It was my first experience of a dhaba style restaurant here in the USA. Overall experience was good. But food quality needs to improve. Curry had food color and that is not good. Veggie biryani was very tasty. Ingredients were fresh and this is still a good stopover for Indian food if you are traveling on I-5
Stopped here for a quick bite on our way to San Francisco. This was the only spot in the area serving Indian food, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered dal fry, aloo gobi, naan, roti and tea. The food was flavorful and had that dhaba-style taste, though a bit on the oily side. It’s primarily a takeaway place, but there are a few outdoor seats if you want to dine there. The owner was friendly, and service was warm and welcoming. Like many Indian spots, they also offered complimentary salad. Overall, it’s an affordable and decent option if you’re craving Indian food on the go.

I like Indian food. But! It is difficult to find clean Indian restaurant a lot of them is dirty as this one pleases see picture. Fly’s everywhere. No A/C. Plus server tried to cheat me.

Oh man this place is BAD! First you pay at the liquor store around the corner, so I'm not even sure if they are legit. For real!! Then they don't give you plates. Or, they gave us plates but took them out of the bag when we weren't looking. The food was so so. And, we got spicey when we asked for medium.
DO NOT STOP HERE NASTY OLD FOOD! The naan had sour taste like it was old dough! Goat curry had more bones then there was meat! I would recommend do not even think of eating here unless you like stomach pain!!
Very Bad food don’t eat here they don’t even clean there hands after restroom
My husband and I ate here tonight, it was sketchy looking but we figured we would give it a try. The Naan was good, the Channa Marsala was horrible and over priced, the chicken curry was fatty and over priced, they brought these small bowls of food, we had to pay extra for the rice and naan and our bill was over $30.00 no soap in the bathroom to wash hands, no toilet liners, just not very clean, but again we were trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. We have traveled all over and eaten at some real little hole in the wall places that were really good food. Not again at this place. Wait stay didn't know English, so he could not explain the menu, he was almost rude. Guess they don't need to make money.
Hi sir / ma’am I want to let you know that , Your “chicken biryani “ was a bit too much big size meat for me to eat it. It’s very disappointed 🙄 I hope you figure this out , the customer who eat this food you cook is human not a dinosaur 🦖🙄 Like aloo Gobhi it’s so smelly like a old stuff Hope you fix it 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️soon

Parantha is very bad i took food yesterday was worst exprienence
I found the prices here to be quite high compared to the quality offered. A single cup of tea costs $4.99, which is very expensive. At this price, it’s honestly better to go to Starbucks for tea. The mixed paratha is also overpriced for what you get. The food quality does not match the price. They do not provide butter or pickles, which are usually expected with paratha.
