Opinions de Rico's Pizzeria Corning
Great customer service from staff, friendly environment, urban unique layout. Highly enjoy their Jones and wings. Definitly a personal favorite
Good pizza. Good service. Next time I visit NY I will go back again.
Definitely a thumbs up I travel from Pennsylvania to come out to Corning to eat pizza at Rico's worth the trip
The staff was very friendly. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was the best pizza I've had in years.
Love their pizza and antipasto salads there people behind the counter very courteous and kind
If you like pepperoni pizza, this place has the BEST! They use the “cup” pepperoni’s which are hard to find in a restaurant. Overall all the pizza is AMAZING!
Hands down the best pizza in the area, with excellent service. We won’t be getting pizza anywhere else from now on.
Fresh made pizza for a short wait. Best pizza in town. Half pepperoni for the kids, half chicken wing for the parents. Absolutely delicious.
Very nice restaurant very clean, excellent food, love the pepperoni pizza, and the garlic knots are heavenly.
I was on a quest to find pizza (that wasn't frozen) to out pizza the hut as soon as I saw the pizza I knew it out pizza the hut, the garlic knots are also really I do recommend 👌
We had three slices of 3 cheese pizza and it was very good. Would definitely go back. Very friendly people too.
Pizza is amazing ,chicken tenders best I had 10 out of 10 Great vibes and music well worth ever dime 🥰 definitely will return
Love this place. Generous servings and wonderful pizza and wings. The service is excellent. By far the best pizza place in the area.
In from out of town. Love the decor and he was playing great tunes! Pizza and knots were fantastic! If I find myself in Corning again, I'll be back!
The wings were perfect and the pizza was very good. We think we'd order the pizza well done the next time.
We live in Philly and stopped for lunch coming from Niagara. Loved the place ! The food is amazing and the people are really sweet . Thank you Ricos! Hope to be back.
The BEST food - sub antipasta food and fastest delivery in a snow storm yet customer service a TEN I tried the other ones on Market Street one in particular absolutely juvenile customer service if they care to answer and terrible waits!! support Atlas!! Order there, you will not be sorry!!! TEN!!
Very good pizza slightly better than Aniellos
The chicken wings were outstanding. We ordered the Buffalo medium.
Crust is not too thick, garlic knots are awesome, decor is eclectic. Never had a bad experience here.
Great pizza! Excellent staff. I'm definitely going there the next time I'm in Corning.
Had a chicken parm sub and garlic knots. Mmm, very good. If I get back to Corning, I would go here again.
Casual place for pizza and wings. Good customer service. There wings are some of the best I've ever had.
AMAZING customer service, loved the hospitality! The food was also so delicious, I enjoyed every part of my visit :)
Super nice guy. Very good pizza. Crust is top notch! Will come again when I'm back in Corning.
Great deal I received a pamphlet in my mail and it had coupons. The coupon stated I purchased a specialty pizza and got a large cheese free. Great deal great price the veggie was amazing with the oil and garlic
My husband and I absolutely love Corning's Rico's Pizza & Chicken wings! We don't live close by whenever we're in Corning we go to Rico's 😋. Its the best pizza and wings in town the owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Colorful atmosphere ❤🍕🍕🍗
I live in Buffalo and this is my favorite pizza! A must every time we're in town! Great NY style pizza, and garlic knots! This the smaller of the 3 pizza spots on Market St but the favorite among the locals I know.
Delicious. Love it. Only took away a star in atmosphere because the music (on the speakers) was very loud and plays in the main eating area. If it's not your thing, get your order to go.
I loved there PIZZA and mild garlic chicken wings were delicious we ate inside more people should eat in there very nice atmosphere quiet and romantic very nice date night
This is legit NYC style pizza. Reasonable prices, great tasting, proper crispy crust, excellent location. No frills, just solid pizza and personable owners.
Best pizza I've had in a very long time, and they don't skimp on the toppings.
If you're looking for good pizza on Market Street without the crowd give Rico's a shot. The food is good and the place isn't usually as crowded as the other shops on the other end of the street.
I'm a 50 year old man from N Y city. I moved to Corning about a year ago, tried all the pizza 🍕 places around Corning. RICO'S IS THE BEST PIZZA 🍕 ANYWHERE'S AROUND.
We had takeout. Really nice service, took an interest in us and why we were in Corning. Salad was very fresh.
Excellent pizza. Great service and atmosphere. Always a good time.
Definitely more NYC-style than other area parlors. A fairly tasty plain slice and a small soda was $4. Nice staff, neat little store. Will be back!
Did you fix the leak in the Women's bathroom Rico? 🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎You are wasting Mother Earth precious resources. ♻️♻️♻️♻️♻️ Recycling needs work. ❤️We Love this place! Put a few on earlier in Saturdays would ya!!! Lol, love to all there! Happy Valentine's Day!❤️❤️❤️
Rico's pizza was an awesome experience. The owner came out to greet us personally and made excellent menu suggestions (I don't know if that always happens, but it was our experience). The pizza was great with a medium thin crust that complimented the toppings without being overly doughy. We had a sample of almost all the pizzas and each one was great. I would highly recommend this place and will come back again.
Lots of pizza competition on Market St, but Ricos is unique. Offering more of a NY style. My wife is somewhat picky with pizza, but likes Ricos so thats something. Pepperoni pizza is a solid choice (pepperonis are very good). Also don't forget the garlic knots. We normally get takeout, but interior has a cool look with good music! Makes for a good pizza stop after a night of drinking at Hand and Foot across the street. Staff is very friendly and working hard in the back!
I came by to grab some food here and I was the only diner there but the service was friendly and accommodating. I asked to have a veggie calzone with some adjustments made and they kindly obliged. When the food came out it was fresh and hot. The outside crust was crunchy and tasty and the inside was gooey and good! I would dine here again for some good pizza/calzone based food for sure!
Ended up going here twice while visiting from PA. Their pizza was amazing we even brought one back home. Had the cheese pizza 1st visit along with garlic knots. Today we got slices of speciality broccoli ricotta, veggie, chicken wing and chicken cordon bleu. All were amazing.
Love their pizza. Jake is such a nice employee. Very good vibe.
Loved the food! Everything tasted so good. The pizza was especially amazing! The workers were also very nice! An overall 5 stars.
Always had a good sandwich there. Ask Rico about the time he had his birthday party upstairs and the band that played there played Blackdog by Led Zeppelin, and the crowd sang the song back to the band. And he keeps interesting magazines around to read. Good choices of important glass from around the Corning area adorn the store.
Do you like your pizza thin, with a slight crisp, lots of cheese, and a good selection of toppings? Do you like greasy garlic knots or bread sticks with a little bit of zip to them? Do you like your hot subs to be stuffed full of meat, sauce and messy? Yeah, so do I. That's why I gave this place 5 stars. I know my preference for cheap, NY style, fold and feed is not the same as everyone else, so I'd suggest you look at some of my other reviews of the local pizza places to get a feel of which will best suit your preferences. This is a "come to the front, order, and seat yourself". They sell salad, wings, and they have some beer and wine options but if any of these things are your primary interest look around at some other places; as it's not where Rico's excels. The beverages, sides, and such are good accessories for their pizza, but not fantastic on their own. It's a great place to stop, but not really an amazing place to dine.
Pizza was very good. If you like your sauce flavor more tomato tasting, then you will like this more than Aniellos down the street. Rico is very friendly. Our kids had a great time. My wife did order an anti-pasta salad but wasn't that impressed.
My family and I are from out of state visiting friends. We were in the mood for pizza, so I googled “pizza near me” and Rico’s came up, so we took our chances. I’m so glad we did! Very good pizza! Very tasty! Clean place, and pleasant staff. Rico’s Pizza will definitely be visited by us again! 👍🏼🍕
Great vibe, cool dudes, clean - we ordered wings and ohh maaan 🤤 they were so crispy, the sauce was amazing with much flavor!!
Food fare and ambience excellent. Rico still runs the place - after 20-30 years.
Jake was great and dealt with me asking a bunch of questions over the phone. I smiled when I received the delivery and seen his response to my question of "what's your top selling sauce?". My kids and I are now addicted to the sauces at Rico's however, we all voted the "Hot Garlic Mix" as our ultimate favorite. The food was great, hot, and it arrived on time. I even enjoyed the brief and friendly conversation I had with the delivery driver too. Overall, best food experience the kids and I have had in quite some time.
We went here for an early dinner on Saturday and really enjoyed it. Their garlic bread is some of the best we've ever had, and we've tried a lot. After that, we got an order of five wings with medium sauce, and it was wonderful to be able to get such a small order since we don't usually eat too many at one time. We also got a cheese calzone. The crust was light and perfectly cooked, and the creamy ricotta was perfect with the mozzarella. This is a fairly small location but fits in a good number of tables and chairs, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We more or less chose this pizzeria at random but we highly recommend it and would definitely go back again!
Love the broccoli ricotta pizza and pepperoni calazon! Food is fresh and hot. Friendly staff
Amazing food and friendly service! The canzone, Rico's pocket, and Stromboli were packed! The pizzas had tons of toppings! Everything was amazing!
Some of the best Chicken, Bacon, Ranch pizza I've had in a while. The crust was the perfect mix of soft and crunchy. The guy was super nice and the place was really cute. We got a 2 slice special with a drink and it was very well priced!
The food is always very delicious and the staff are super friendly! We love having a meal at Rico's!
A bunch of us were practicing at Centerway Square. Dropped in quickly to get a couple of pizzas (veggie and cheese). Quick and courteous service. Delicious pizza. Both grown-ups and kids loved it.
Every single person who works here is polite, friendly, professional and the food is AWESOME! The pizza guy, Mark Portnoy should make it a point to visit. I don't order from anywhere else for pizza, subs, calzones or any Italian food. Great people, great place!
Stopped in for quick lite lunch. Just got a slice of cheese pizza.and fountain drink for under $7 bucks . Loved the flavor of sauce and dough. This is a really good quality New York style pizza place! Make sure your leave a good tip because the staff gives you great customer service as well Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.
Aniello's used to be my go-to place for pizza in Corning, but their pizza crust has become increasingly tough to chew and their cheese SUPER greasy over the past 15 years. Ricos is now my family's top-pick for pizza, wings, and hot subs in Corning. Their prices are definitely higher than other places, but the taste and quality is worth it. Atlas is also very good, Wegmans is surprisingly solid for the price, but Pudgies (Sludgies) is vile; quality > quantity.
I had never been to Rico’s location in Corning until yesterday, but I will definitely be returning when I’m in the area. Cute little seating area, with great music playing. My partner and I got 1/2 dozen garlic knots, that were amazing, and a small cheese pizza, which was the perfect size for two diners and then some leftover.
Rico's is a little on the pricey side for two slices. I went here for lunch on a week day. I did not get the 2 slices I normally get and got their combo calzone. The only downside of getting a calzone instead of two slices it takes longer for them to prepare it. The taste was pretty good, nothing that blew me out of my seat.
Fantastic service and great food. Great place to stop in while you're already downtown or to grab an order for pick up. Love the Pepperoni Classic and their Stromboli! Highly recommended.
First visit...awesome italian sub, great Stromboli but it was burnt on the bottom. Friendly staff, super helpful. We'll be back. Would have been 5 stars if not for the burnt stromboli.
Easily the best slice you can get in Corning. I was so disappointed with the pizza in this town till I gave Rico's a chance. It's the only place I get pizza from in Corning now. Great pizza, not too greasy and always get it hot. The service is great and surprisingly quick during busy hours, about 20 mins for 2 pies and 20 wings. Wings are saucy and big. Only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that they began selling their wings by the 10s instead of by the dozen. An increasingly common business practice that is a real downer.
Food much fresher and much higher quality than Annellio's. Their sub rolls alone blow away anyone on Market Street. Their subs can be on the thinner side, but if you ask for anything extra on it, they do it happily without charging you. They actually seem to care if you like your food. The place is very clean, has a nice atmosphere, but it would be great if they increased their size and incorporated some booths for more comfortable seating. Easier said than done, but right now, it feels more like a place you go to pick up food and it could be so much more. Then, they could easily outsell other, lower-level pizza restaurants on Market Street. Plus, their food doesn't make me feel like I'm inhaling grease and unhealthy food...rare for a place that serves pizza, subs, ect. I never take time to write reviews, unless I feel strongly about a place. This place is worth supporting because they have really good food ingredients that they know how to cook well. And, they are nicer, classier people than people I've witnessed as servers, at other places locally.
A quick stop in Corning meant we were in need for a quick bite to eat. Because we had yet to have any New York style pizza on this trip, I recommended we hit one up for our last meal while in New York. Sure, there are a lot of spots that come up when you do a Google search but Rico's Pizza looked the most promising out of the area we were in. We walked in around 3 pm on a Friday. There was only a table of two seated near the window but the place was otherwise empty. Later, two other single parties came in during our stay. As soon as we walked up to the register, we were greeted and offered for them to take our order. Being our first time, we requested some time with their menu. We had a couple questions along the way, and the gentleman was very helpful. We ended up having our eyes set on their "2 specialty slices and a large drink" combos for just over $10. Ordering two of these ended up being a really good amount of food for the four of us. We tried the following slices (ordered from my most to least favorite): - PULLED PORK BBQ: I was honestly surprised to learn that this ended up being my favorite. There's a good amount of pulled pork present but not enough to make you feel drowned in meat and heavy. I liked that the BBQ flavor was smoky and present, yet somehow, the cheese flavor was so strong. - BACON CHEESEBURGER PIZZA: They really did not skimp on the cheese for this one as it was oozing all over the slice! This was a good rendition of a cheeseburger as a slice. - THE PAGLIACCI: This was essentially a supreme pizza. More of a classic but tasty and had a good amount of toppings on it. - STUFFED PIZZA: We were misled by the name and thought it might be a stuff crust pizza since they already had calzones as a different part of their menu, but this was basically a calzone. The crust/dough was very well made and had a nice chew to it, but there was way too much dough to filling ratio. The filling was also just sauce and cheese, no toppings. My first impression was the crunch from the under carriage! The slice held together really well without being floppy due to the nice crisp and toast to the crust. I also loved that everything came out fresh and hot! These were not pre-made slices, but instead, made to order. On another note, the pizza wasn't too salty and I did not feel excessively thirsty after. Since this place isn't a "sit and be served" type joint, tips aren't really needed but with the service we received, we felt they really did deserve one! When our slices were ready, the staff came to bring out our slices which we did not expect and when we asked for them to be cut, they came to our table with a cutter versus asking us to bring back the slicing. They also have single stall washrooms for both men and women. They're small but recently clean (and bonus, for having paper towels). As for parking, there was an ample amount of free parking spaces on the street nearby.
Pretty standard underwhelming upstate NY food. But the food around here is pathetic so it’s not saying much but It’s good enough to satisfy a pizza craving.
Pizza was better than most, but overpriced. The staff is not very friendly and seems like alot of high school kids forced to work. Apparently they got rid of their best pizza maker (DAVE). Very sad. Overall, pizza is good, but not worth remembering
I grew up in Elmira and will always love Pudgies pizza and subs. I lived in Corning a while, and have had pizza and subs from the 3 major pizzarias in Corning. I guess the folks here giving such high ratings about "NY" style pizza have never really tried the real thing. Aniellio's is the place for the real thing. I'm not saying that the food here is bad, because I do like the subs there with both sweet and hot pepper rings, but if you check the ratings, Ricco's in the 100s, and Aniellio's in the 1,000s...then check the photos with less than 10 about the food at Ricco's , and at least 50 food photos of Aniellio's...I guess that would tell the story. If you like chain style pizza, then you will like this pizza. If you like good subs and wings along with your pizza, this is a good place to eat...remember to ask for the hot and/or sweet pepper rings, because that is what makes the subs so good, and you do have to ask for them. If you want a good pizza with meatsauce (the best meatsauce pizza I have ever had), or garlic pizza with a thicker chewy crust, good subs, and wings with a variety of sauces, then Pudgies Pizza is the way to go. As a side note I have noticed that a lot of people leave the crust to throw away. If you want to feed a crowd with those who do like crust, and those that don't, Pudgies sheet party pizza has a lot of center slices with no crust...just FYI!
I tried contacting through Facebook, y'all read it and never returned my msg. It's aggravating because I love your food. I was told 45 minutes for delivery...it took over an hour. Then y'all forgot two salads. Driver was very polite and apologized. He said that I would get it asap. It took another 45 minutes. The Buffalo chicken salad had one piece of cold chicken and it was wilted. The garden salad was supposed to not have peppers and it did and was also wilted. I hate having to post publicly, but after days of no response I don't have a choice.
Rico's is only "okay" pizza. Another reviewer offered the best suggestion if you want a sub; go to Wegmans. Over priced menu items, snotty wait staff, and mediocre ambiance make Rico's a disappointing experience.
Good pizza. Bad service. Staff did not even welcome us upon arrival and did not acknowledge our presence for at least 5 min. Then said we could take a paper menu to look at then order when we were ready. Our party paid nearly $60 for a large pizza, small pizza and 5 wings, then they gave us super cheap paper plates to eat it on. Plus, it took nearly 30 min. I probably would order the pizza, but the dine in experience was less than par.
Rico's has a great atmosphere. The owner is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home! The food itself is pretty typical pizza. The menu includes classic cheese and pepperoni pizzas. There is some variation with buffalo ranch and meatball, but nothing you wouldn't see in any other pizza place. Prices are fair. A good place to grab a quick lunch.
Pizza was addictingly good. Possibly a stolen (secret) formula? Canoli was tré beautiful but unfortunately, way way stale, and way way tasted like plastic. Worst canoli in corning :(
Not sure when Half Pepperoni Half Cheese on a large pizza means you only get three slices of pepperoni.
Cute place. Pizza slice extremely small, especially for the price. Chicken Parm was a frozen product. Calzone was not cooked enough so it wasn't Golden it was white. The cook guy was very nice Now, the worst part was the 2 ladies working there...they both had long hair, one was so long past her waist and both were not pulled back!!!!! One was standing over the sliced pizzas with her hair hanging over them. The other with the super long hair was actually cooking and literally swinging and flipping her hair all over!!! YIKES!! Really gross!
Pizza is ok, customer service is severely lacking. We are visiting family, from Colorado, I didn't know that customer service in New York was this bad.
The pizza and calzone were okay. Little too doughy for me and the garlic bread was soaking in butter to the point it was soggy. The cannoli was actually amazing except for the plastic in it. I've gotten hair in food before but never a piece of plastic. The food was also 20min late but it is a Saturday so that's understandable. I wouldn't recommend it though strictly because of the plastic in my food.
Pizza may be good. (That would be 4 or 5 stars, if it was warm) Delivery was supposed to be 45 minutes. Called twice. Took about twice that. And it was cold. Delivery guy said manager wouldn't allow another driver. Manager, if you are listening? It will be awhile before I order from your store again. Congrats.
We have ordered many times from here but haft to say this will be our last meatball sub roll burnt couldn't eat it and no meatballs to say 1 meat ball cut into quarters 14 00 so beware people as when called them back said nothing we can do might not been able to do anything well we can and no longer use your business and tell everyone not to also
They did not want to deliver at 11:30 at night because there was a band apparently playing or was supposed to play. They had a delivery or two to be made as my friends and I were going to order. The driver was out making two deliveries when we had called to place an order. When the employee picked up, I made the order and then was asked if it was to be a pick up order or delivery. He had told us that when the deliverer comes back, he/she had to do dishes. Instead of getting service from us they chose to not allow a delivery to be made even though they close at 1 in the morning. The manager was also very disrespectful towards me when I asked to speak to a manager.
Cooked a sheet pizza in soap we took it back and they made us a new one that didn’t taste like soap.
Just bought this pizza a veggie apprently it cost $23 but the taste atrocious, half ass veggies crust 1/2 burned! Definitely avoid this place! Not worth ur hard earn money!
Owner was very rude and argumentative. Tried to place an online order but site wasnt working, so I called and the price was almost $20 higher. When I asked about it, he just argued with me that he was right and I must be wrong. So we took our business elsewhere. We used to order on a regular basis but after the way I was treated we will not be back.
Got discriminated against by the owner of this establishment because of my gender and race. Threw the pizza at me, yelled at me, and even gave me glares when I was just asking what type of drinks they had. Please do not come here if you are a person of color.
I ordered takeout the day after Christmas. Even though the place was dead, they took forever to make a small pizza and a meatball sub. I was given the pizza after a 35 minute wait (again, they were NOT busy at all). Then I had to wait another 10 minutes for the sub, which they had forgotten was part of the order, just enough time for the pizza to get cold. Anyway, when the sub was finally ready, I got it home only to discover it was inedible.... stone cold, meatballs minced into tiny bits and hardly any sauce. Really disgusting (and really overpriced).
We have tried pizza and chicken wings couple of times. Sometimes it tastes great and at times it will be just ‘ok’. It could be due to their chef or the dough ? Anyways not a choice best choice in market street. If you are visiting Corning, try atlas or annelios - they are many times better than Rico’s. However if you are looking for delivery, they do at a nominal charge.
Their buffalo sauce is as sweet as candy and tastes like they add tomato soup! Tasted nothing like buffalo sauce. No spice or tang either. You think a restaurant in New York would have better pizza and better buffalo sauce.
After making my order they said pick up would be about 35 minutes. When we went to pick up our order nothing was finished. Wait 20+ min for them to finish just for it to not be made correctly. The didn't even know what goes on their salads per the menus.
Watery sauce leaking everywhere, making the rubbery dough even more wet, not helping the Luke warm filling right out on the oven. Flavor and overall appearance is the same as a $4 frozen pizza at Walmart! And I thought Annielio's was bad. Wow
I cannot speak for the quality of the pizza, but after being on the road with one of Rico's delivery drivers this past Friday evening in Painted Post, I would NEVER patronize this business! Driver was unsafe, aggressive, and raced from light to light.
I really love their wings and order quite often but decided to stop as of today. I request a very small container of their hot sauce as I can’t eat all 10 at 1 time but I also tell them I don’t want the celery and the other dip and everything had been good until today. I was informed they would be charging $1.00 for the very small container of hot sauce I have been getting free . I would think the celery and I guess blue cheese dip would be more . Ordering for a long time sad but no more.
Really disappointed... I would get Rico's Lasagna pizza all the time, always priced well and tasted amazing. Stopped in to the Corning location today with my wife and daughter. Ordered a medium cheese and pepperoni w/ 10 wings special, a large fountain drink. Totally skimped on the pepperoni (12 very small pieces), $30.61 later. I had to go up after finishing off the pizza and ask about the wings (they forgot about them and left them up on top of the oven) and the fountain soda (Mug root beer) tasted rotten. Needless to say, I will most likely not be returning to this location.
