Foretti’s was on the recommended list for Marriott Vacation Club Newport Coast guests and it didn’t disappoint! We started with the golden yellow beets which was refreshingly good with its wild berry dressing. We went with traditional Italian dishes - pollo parmigiana with ziti and linguine clams both of which were delicious! Portions were generous enough for us to take home and enjoy again the next day! Highly recommend and we’ll definitely try again when we’re back in the area. Place was busy so best to make a reservation and beware parking was a little tough. For Marriott Vacation Club owners, don’t forget your discount card and get 10% of your dinner (excluding alcohol)!
Foretti's was recommended to us as an authentic Italian restaurant. It did not disappoint! Robert was our waiter and was fantastic. This is a small restaurant with a great vibe. Our first visit. You could tell many of the patrons were regulars. We had a Caesar salad and Baked Ziti with a Long Island Iced Tea; and the house salad with Meat Ravioli and a glass of Moscato. We were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary and they gave us our choice of dessert on the house. We picked a molten chocolate cake with vanilla Gelato. We loved everything about Foretti's save one - the parking is challenging. They seem to do a robust take out business. If you do go dine in, suggest making reservations.
We drove from Denver to celebrate the 4th of July in California. I found this gem and am so glad that I did! The food was delicious! I have to eat gluten-free, and I was excited to see house made gluten-free pasta on the menu. We showed up without a reservation, but the gentleman running the establishment let us squeeze in between reservations. The service was friendly, the food flavorful, fresh, and sustaining, and the ambiance was chill but lively. I highly recommend.
My wife and I were out enjoying a walk through Corona del Mar when the smell of delicious Italian food caught our attention—and it led us straight to Ferretti’s. We decided to turn it into an impromptu date night, and it did not disappoint. We were seated right away, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced—just a really solid dining experience all around. Parking was also a breeze with free two-hour street parking right out front, which made the whole evening even easier. Ferretti’s has that cozy neighborhood charm and great food to match. We’ll definitely be back!
One of the best pizzas we have had outside of Italy. My son has celiac and the gluten free pizza was done better than all of the restaurants we have been to. He also has allergies to all nuts and they were able to accommodate with no hesitation.
Best Italian food in California hands down. This food was tastier than grandmas home cooking and she came here straight off the boat from Italy. Our server James was very attentive and always made sure our classes were full. The food is prepared super quick so we got appetizers first then our entrees. Cocktails and wine were delicious. I highly recommend the lamb ragu it tasted amazing, the lamb was tender and the pasta was handmade. The owner really needs to bottle and sell their pesto though.
Loved the canonelli and asparagus! Perfecto! White wine and sparking water after a busy few days, now en route to Auckland. Especially lovely to have a crystal glass for my Tussy mussy! Thanks waitress!
First timer, and what great spot. Packed full on a Wednesday night. Had GF pasta w meatballs. Service was excellent. Sat outside on a covered patio with heaters, very pleasant. Will for sure go back!
Culinary dream!!! If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine… this is your place!!! A hidden gem although right on the main strip - just a wonderful overall experience! The service was just as delectable as the food! It’s as if our server knew us better than we knew ourselves! Every entree suggestion she made was perfection and made our experience a luxurious one! The food… superb! Every spoonful left you eager to take the next bite and the delicateness of their presentation was not missed. Belleza!! When you’re there… You’re in Italia! You could see and smell the aromatics from the coal stone oven with the hustle of staff eager to serve their tables! The feeling is reminiscent of intimate romance with a hint of family dinner. Newport Beach’s gem for sure!!
Great atmosphere with a New York vibe. Cesar salad was amazing, pasta was fresh and good. We enjoyed the wine and the service. Expect $30 on avg per entree.
Our group had a terrific meal on a Sunday night. Yes, it was crowded at 8:30 and a bit loud, but not unexpected. Service was very good, and the food was excellent. We all had various pasta and meat or seafood dishes, all around $22 give or take a few bucks, so quite reasonable by Corona Del Mar standards. It was our first time here, despite living nearby. Definitely we will return!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Foretti’s an enchanting Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Corona Del Mar. Probably one of the best meals I enjoyed during my time in Orange County. To start, I got custom charcuterie board of prosciutto, arugula and parmesan. For dinner, I indulged in the fresh pasta creation. The pasta was coated in a zesty lemon sauce, punctuated by the peppery notes of arugula. A let’s not forget the succulent shrimp. The entire meal and service was nothing short of extraordinary. The ambiance, the attentive service, and the artistry on each plate.

Excellent Italian food in a small comfortable restaurant. Excellent breaded chicken, healthy salmon, veal, and pasta. Spaghetti is spicy. I would recommend this restaurant .

Love Foretti. The wait staff couldn’t be nicer and the food is fantastic. Actually, their pizza is the best in OC. The food quality stands alone. Their ingredients are from Italy and the cooks are tremendous. Highly recommended.
10/10 This place was absolutely amazing! Being new to Orange County, I’ve struggled a lot finding good restaurants. The food was fenomenal! We got the sautéed calamari & shrimp as an appetizer and for entree the Wild pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil and the Rissotto Mare. Every single item was nothing but spectacular! Definitely by far my favorite restaurant in the area! Our server was Monica which I must tell it’s also been the best service in restaurants in the area that I’ve had so far; you can tell everybody works as a team and help each other. Small but cozy with the best Italian flavor for sure!
Recently tried this place for the first time and we were impressed! We loved everything we had and the service was great! I had the Mama Mia spaghetti & meatballs and my husband had the veal ravioli with mushrooms. We started with the beet salad which was beautifully presented. Looked around to see what others were having and the pizza looked great as well as an elk chop. We'll be back!!!
This is the best pasta I have ever had in my life. If you have a gluten intolerance/allergy, you know how hard it is to find any gluten free pasta, and one that is made right. It was perfectly cooked, balanced and delightful. The staff is remarkable and attentive. 10/10 recommended!
So good! We waited 15 minutes for our reservation but I didn’t care once I had the food! Our waiter was Italian (always a great touch at an Italian restaurant) He was really nice and had a fun personality. I highly recommend the bruschetta! It was amazing and the presentation was unique. The wine list was good, and had plenty of options for all price points. We had a fantastic Barolo. I had a pasta with lemon and prawns that was amazing. My husband had a sausage pasta that he really enjoyed. Can’t wait to visits again soon.
Jenna was an amazing server! The food was out of this world! My wife and I came in from out of town for our anniversary and as Italian food lovers this food and atmosphere was absolutely perfect! We’ll be back again for sure!
Monica was awesome as well as other servers/staff constantly taking care of us for a birthday occasion. Highly recommend and will be back very soon!
What a beautiful Gem in Corona Del Mar. Being from Europe its hard to find a place that has real Italian food. If you're searching for it as well, you found it at Fioretti's. Delicious Pizza , the Pasta so good. We loved the Burrata with Arugula and Tomatoes. The service was very nice as well. The place is small but cozy. I will be back!
Foretti's restaurant in Laguna Beach is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. From the moment I stepped into this charming eatery, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and elegance. The ambiance at Foretti's is a perfect blend of coastal charm and sophistication. With its breathtaking ocean views and tasteful decor, it's the ideal setting for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply savoring a delightful meal, this restaurant sets the stage beautifully. Now, onto the food. Every dish that graced our table was a revelation of flavor and artistry. I started with the seafood platter, which featured the freshest oysters and succulent shrimp. It was a delightful introduction to what was to come. For the main course, I opted for the grilled sea bass, and it was a true masterpiece. The fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist, with a delicate balance of herbs and seasonings that danced on my palate. Foretti's wine selection is extensive and thoughtfully curated, and their sommelier's recommendations were impeccable. The wine paired perfectly with our meal, enhancing the overall experience. What truly made this evening exceptional was the impeccable service. The staff at Foretti's is not just attentive; they are genuinely passionate about ensuring your dining experience is unforgettable. From their knowledge of the menu to their seamless execution of service, they elevated our evening to a new level of excellence. Dessert was the perfect finale to an incredible meal. The tiramisu was a luscious, indulgent treat that left me craving more. In summary, Foretti's in Laguna Beach is a culinary gem that deserves every bit of praise. It's a place where exceptional food, breathtaking views, and top-notch service come together to create a dining experience like no other. I can't wait to return to Foretti's and savor their culinary creations once again. Highly recommended!
There is a pleasant ambiance and friendliest staff. All the food we ordered was superb! We had the risotto mare, Margherita DOP, and baby kale salad.
The place is small but WORTH IT. Authentic Italian cuisine and the pasta are made fresh. From veal ravioli to prosciutto pizza, I've had it all, and no dish disappoints. Don't forget about the desert! Panna cotta is my go-to. Although not on the menu, they can also make you affogato if you're looking for a simple classic Italian dessert. Lastly, the owner is awesome, as well as the server that handles large parties. He's super impressive because he doesn't have to write your order down. It comes to you accurate, and he knows Italian. Foretti's is 5 stars all around!
My darling wife and I stopped here when we went to see our kids and Escondido on our grandchild. This was an amazing surprise. The food was outstanding the service was great we set on the patio under an old old tree that was just amazing. It was a wonderful experience and meal for my wife and I if you're in that area please stop in if you really are looking for good meal a relaxing time in an outstanding cup of coffee
Pirozzi is truly what an Italian restaurant experience should feel like. The food is authentic and very flavorful. The pizzas are inventive and you can sit at the bar and watch them prepare them for the incredible pizza oven. This staff is really consistent kind and knowledgeable. A great place to just go chill everybody's always happy. If you're stopping to go to a movie it's right next door or if you just want to have a glass of wine and some calamari with a friend on the patio you cannot go wrong with this incredible gem in Corona Del Mar
Great Food, Great Atmosphere, and the Owner makes everyone feel at home. The Lamb Ragu Is off the charts as well as all the homemade pasta. You can't go wrong with anything you order at this restaurant. Great Job Thad and the staff!
Excellent find for us. First class Italian food. Friendly service. Recommended
DELICIOUS and GREAT service. Our meals included: Salmon with lemon infused pasta we asked for a side of capers on the side) , chicken fettuccine, shrimp over arugula infused spaghetti, prosciutto pizza... I am not describing this well ( too much dinner) but we all highly recommend this delightful spot!
I'm not Italian & didn't comprehend 85% of their menu verbiage, however I ordered a pizza except that their word is 'pizzi'. I just wanted to try wild 🐗 boar, & it was 1 of their pizzi's ingredients. Then I saw wild boar SALAMI as an appetizer as well...They actually added it onto my pizzi along with LOTS of added arugula, basil, & spicy chili oil, no problem 👌😊! Result = my 5 star review, happy tummy even 6 hrs later now, & the 1st time I actually ate pizza crust!
After a beach day called ahead and ordered 3 pizzas. Owner stated 20 mins and by the time we got there we just had to wait a few minutes. This pizza is totally worth the price. Dough is soft and perfectly cooked. Toppings are amazing! We got margarita, pepperoni, and wild mushroom. 3 adults and 3 kids later… everyone was happy and full. 12 inch pizzas fyi. Didn’t eat there but heard people needed reservations.
Traditional Italian cuisine with impeccable pizzas and pasta dishes. However, what impressed me even more was the level of service and the welcoming atmosphere nurtured by the owner, the waitresses, and the busboy we interacted with. The team took pride in their job without a hint of phoniness. I warmly recommend Foretti's.
This Authenic Italian Restaurant was Amazing! Our food was excellent and our bruschetta appetizer was the best I have ever eaten. Our server was so patient and professional. We left with full tummies and to-go bags. The portions were plentiful and delicious. We are visiting from Chicago and will be returning tomorrow to try another dish! This restaurant is a must!!!
We liked it so much we came here 2 weeks in a row. Everything is yummy! So far tried chicken picatta, lamb chops, ravioli, and a lemon pasta dish with shrimp. All were excellent as well as the service. We prefer sitting in the tent since not as loud as main room, but that main room is more charming.
Hands down the best home made fresh pasta anywhere. The staff are truly amazing and friendly, they really make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. They treat you like family. The food is on another level of amazing. I'm lost for words how great the food is.
Phenomenal food!! This is the best Italian food I’ve had in years. The quality of the food, beautiful presentation and good portions make this an excellent restaurant. Had the Osso Bucco ravioli with butter sage …. the best ever. The baked ziti was also great, nice amount of cheese, no overload of sauce and it came with two delicious meatballs. We also ordered an order of meatballs. 3 huge and yummy! I’m looking forward to dining there in person. I was so impressed with the good packaging for Feliz. A must try!!
Traveling back south from Huntington Pacific Air Show and tried Foretti's out of the blue. So made the right choice. All the staff got along so good. So awesome to witness. Pizza was slamming. Rico or Rigo (our waiter) was so down to earth and just an all around good person. Top notch service and food. Could not wait to write this review. Go there, great experience.
This place is phenomenal! Our server James, was amazing. Plenty of attention, but not too much. Friendly and amazing personality. The best server I’ve had at a restaurant in years! The lamb ragu with house made pappardelle was delicious. Perfect portion size for me, an average size adult man. Ambience was great. They were able to seat two of us for dinner on a Thursday night with no reservation. A+ on all accounts. We will definitely be back!
Loved this place. My son has Celiac and the gluten-free pizza was such an unexpected treat. Made with 00 caputi flour and fired up like traditional Napoleon pizza. Eat here if you want to have an excellent Italian meal.
Everything we ordered was delish! I got the zucchini soup it’s so good and brothy, the seafood salad was amazing 🤩. Husband had Bronzino he really liked his. Cookies and cream Gelato was a little icy but tasty:) great wine selection, had Austin Hope wine was delicious !
I really like this place, great atmosphere, good selection of Italian food with great service. We ordered sautéed octopus/ shrimps dish as appetizer, chicken alfredo pasta, crispy prosciutto pizza, Linguine alla Vongole in white wine sauce as main dish. Everything tasted to the right amount of flavor. Chocolate cake is amazing and a must, Tiramisu is a little different than what I am used to with layers of mascarpone but okay. Definitely will go back.
I love sharing this Restaurant..... We took some friends here for dinner this weekend... They loved it just as much as we do... I always order the Bellini, fried olives, Cesar salad and Scampi Ravioli... It's the best!!!!!! The others ordered the special pasta with mushrooms and boar sausage. They loved it as well. Everything on the menu is great! Enjoy!
This food was absolutely amazing!!! I suffer from celiac which means that I cannot eat gluten. I ordered a gluten free pizza and it was one of the best gluten free pizzas that I have tasted. It was an overall great experience and my family and I enjoyed it very much. We will be coming back to this restaurant next time we visit Newport. Highly recommend trying Forretti’s
We had an excellent dinner at the fun & friendly Foretti's Restaurant. It was enjoyable sitting outside under the tent for our evening meal. The food was delicious (calamari, scampi ravioli, lasagne, veal marsala, kid's peperoni pizza, tiramisu, & strawberry sorbet) and the service was spot on. Thank you, Rudy!
Try their eggplant Parmesan! I have found it unusually hard to find italiano restaurants in OC that serve eggplant Parmesan. Foretti’s is *superb*. Peeled and Thinly sliced eggplant, lightly breaded, heavenly perfection. Also love the ambience, even the indoor dining has an open veranda feel with the sweeping wide windows that are open during the day.
Rudy provided great service and recommendations. Really appreciated the Halloween decorations too, added to the already great ambiance.
No wait time. Meals were absolutely delicious. We had lobster ravioli, branzino, and seafood pasta and everything was super tasty n knocked us right out our seats. The service was great and we are definitely coming back again!
Blown freakin away! Had four 'zzas: Mamma (meatball), Almari (4 diff meats), special (vault) with arugula and prosciutto (see pict), and Wild Mushroom, kale salad, tiramisu. Three-membered party, we came to freakin chow! We killed it all. We'll be back for the all-you-can-eat pizza night - yeah right! Also included a picture of the menu showing four kinds of gnocchi! Who freakin does that?!
Huge fans of this place. We had a party of 15 and they were proactive enough to take the kids orders first before getting the rest of the table. Beyond the service, the homemade pasta was incredible. The limoncello pasta specifically was nearly perfect. Definitely worth a trip.
Absolutely fabulous dining experience! My boyfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant and decided to give it a try... We were blown away. For starters, the atmosphere was delightful. Although it was quite busy there was an overwhelming sense of relaxation in the air. The chairs were comfortable and the space was well lit and well decorated. The food was delicious, well priced, and came out lightening fast. We got the burrata, pink bow tie pasta (HIGHLY recommend this for a refreshing summer pasta dish), and a margarita pizza. Everything was great. One of the best parts of it all, however, was our server!! I believe her name was Jade. Everything about her service was perfect from start to finish. She was attentive without being overbearing. She was both professional and laid back (extra impressive considering how busy she was!). Me and my dining partner were incredibly grateful to have her as our waitress for the night!
Do NOT mind any naysayers. This place is 100% wonderful!! Walking by one evening, we thought it looked promising (cool sign), so we gave it a try. The menu is robust & imaginative; so many unique dishes you will have a hard time deciding! I had the butternut squash with fried sage and brown butter sauce (perfect!), my husband had a special request: spaghetti with olive oil, garlic, fresh tomatoes, and chicken. Both dishes were outstanding! Service was terrific, our waiter Daniel was very attentive, and actually brought a wonderful wine suggestion when I let him choose (Austin Hope, which is superb). For dessert, we enjoyed the molten chocolate cake with gelato and an adorable little espresso….. both of which were to die for. It’s a lovely little gem and the patio and indoor dining seating are wonderful! You can tell that they take great pride in creating a unique and savory menu. You will not be disappointed!
It's a nicely romantic Italian restaurant. I'd not visited for a couple years and the quality is still as high as when I last visited. We had black pasta (squid ink), very rich, flavorful with a nice aromatic presentation. A very crisp Caesar salad with white anchovies, some tasty bread and we were good. It's not inexpensive, but it's delicious. The staff were kind and courteous and very attentive to our needs.
Absolutely fantastic food. They have so many unique dishes you can’t find anywhere else. We ate with a party of 6 so I got to try a lot of dishes and every single one was top notch. The lamb ragu and octopus appetizer is a must.
Foretti’s was on the recommended list for Marriott Vacation Club Newport Coast guests and it didn’t disappoint! We started with the golden yellow beets which was refreshingly good with its wild berry dressing.
Definitely will be back. I can’t say that about a lot of restaurants in Orange County. I try new places weekly and most are one and done. This is a place we will come back to again. We cleaned our plates! The food was amazing! The service was amazing. Marco our server was the best! He was always there when we needed him at the right time and never interrupting you with a mouth full of food and bringing drinks with eye contact and hand signals from across the room when he was serving others. The guy is a pro!
I went here 3-4 years ago when I was in Irvine for work. I'm writing this review today but I am STILL thinking about the lasagna. The first night I was in Irvine, I stopped in and had this lasagna and it was so divine that I came back the next night and had it again. I swear to you that if I had spent another night in Irvine I would have gone back again. For the last 3-4 years I have been chasing this high at every Italian restaurant I go to and I'm disappointed every time. Every time, I think, "man, this is nothing compared to that amazing Lasagna I had in Irvine." I no longer have any reason to go to Irvine. I live halfway across the country. I often find myself wondering if it would be crazy to take a trip just to eat this freakin' lasagna. Do yourself a favor and go eat here. Eat the damn lasagna. It will ruin your life and make you think about it for years to come but it will be worth it.
Very good Italian food. Reservation recommended. This is an intimate restaurant both indoor and outdoor covered patio seating. Many excellent dishes and professional servers. Forettis is certified to make Napoleon pizza and is the only restaurant in Newport certified. Extensive wine list and full bar.
Have been twice and had the gluten free bolognese and gluten free pizza. Both were great, but the gluten free pizza crust was amazing! Came with a group for a birthday dinner last time and they brought out a scoop of gelato with a candle to help us celebrate. Lovely atmosphere and both times we’ve had great service.
We tried Foretti’s for the first time and it did not disappoint. We didn’t have a reservation but they got us seated in their heated tent space with no problems. We had multiple servers who kept my kids happy with endless supplies of bread and homemade pesto (SO good!). The pizzas and pastas (lobster ravioli, bolognese and a shrimp pasta special) were mouthwatering and we left extremely happy and with a new favorite restaurant to add to our list. When we got in the car, my kids already asked if we could go back. By the way, the holiday decor only added to the charm of such a beautiful space.
We visited on the recommendation of the Marriott Newport Coast staff. Fantastic Italian food and amazing wine list. Food: puttanesca was perfect, not overly spicy. Veal piccata was devoured quickly! Seafood salad appetizer, perfect for 2 to share and so fresh. Perfect Panna cotta for dessert. Server (Alyssa?) was attentive and helpful. We loved it so much, got takeout pizza and super food salad the following night! The menu is extensive. We are from Philly and know great Italian food. If you want great Italian food and wine, go to Forettis.

I do not recommend the patio/parking lot seating. Given it is not part of the main restaurant, service was spotty at best. Once served, the food was excellent. Recommend the cioppino and lamb chops.
Salmon and octopus carpaccio appetizer was quite good and a little spicy. Pasta puttanesca with shrimp was overcooked (with the pasta falling apart) and the over abundance of sauce made the entire dish soupy—the flavor was good, but not delicate. Seafood risotto was also soupy :( Service was very good. Atmosphere is quite nice: you feel like you’re in a crowded and noisy European café
A little Italian restaurant located on pch. Parking is minimal. They have a small parking lot with maybe 6 spaces. If it's full, you'll need to find street parking. The food is good. The service is a little rough.

Pricing was on average affordable side. Food was really good. Love love love their pizza and pasta! However, there were only one size for their pizza so if you have lots of people, make sure to order more pizzas so everyone can get a slice! The only downside was that their tables are very small, probably because they want more seating. You are so close to whoever sits across from you!
This is a nice spot for some good Italian. Had pizza and pasta and it was good; I felt it lacked a little depth. The bread and olive oil was disappointing. Now the service is on point. From the hostess to our server to the manager everyone was awesome. Service like that will have me return. Thank you!
Nice place. Slightly pricy Very very noisy, I could not even hear the waiter and had to ask her to step closer to me. Wait time for the dishes was long.
A solid, reliable spot for Italian classics with a strong focus on meats and cheeses—something that sets it apart a bit in Southern California. The service is always good, and every dish I’ve had over the years has been well-executed. Nothing overwhelmingly spectacular, but never a bad meal either, which speaks to their consistency. If you’re looking for well-made Italian staples without surprises, this is a great choice. A very steady and well-earned four stars.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for both family dinners and date nights. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make the dining experience even better. If you’re craving classic Italian food with great service in a comfortable setting, Foretti’s is definitely worth a visit! 🍝🍕🍷
This was our first time there. I was hungry for a steak so had the ribeye. Should have had the pasta as the ribeye was not the quality that I'm used to. Everything else that my other guests had was very enjoyable. The atmosphere is awesome service was great cocktails were good should have known to order a steak and an Italian restaurant but all the pastas is handmade fresh there.

Beautiful little restaurant with a tiny 4-seat bar. Service was excellent. I ordered the grilled duck breast and it was excellent. Very tender and cooked perfectly. Another in my party had the salmon, which was dry and very bland. Not a lot of flavor. The worst part of our experience and the reason for my 3-star rating was the volume of the restaurant. It it so loud in the d in ing room, that you cannot have a conversation across your table or with the person. Next to you without leaning to their ear or yelling across the table yourself. Sorry, but this was not a relaxing dinner.
Food was good, but spend most of the meal on the patio listening to the hostess having a conversation on speakerphone. It’s bad enough when another guest is using speakerphone in public but when it’s an employee of the restaurant I guess that’s an indicator of the level management.
The food is ok. It is the typical Italian dishes. There isn’t a “WOW” factor to them. The pricing is where you’d expect it to be for the taste of the food. I got the 5 cheese gnocchi and it was ok. I also got the Tiramisu - it was also ok. I’ve definitely had way better. The price for the dessert really isn’t worth what you’re getting. The bread and pesto they give at the beginning is really good. The two friends I was with did enjoy their food a lot. I rate this a 3.5 out of 5, but I have to give it a 3 star because there isn’t anything that makes the restaurant worthy of an extra half a star unfortunately.
This review will focus on the clear violations of California Retail Food Code in this restaurant. From my vantage point I could clearly see that employees handled food with bare hands - no gloves of any kind. That wasn’t just the raw food, but salads as well. Another problem - no one was wearing any hair covering like hats or hairnets.
After passing the restaurant from the sidewalk, we were drawn in by the joyful atmosphere and enticing smell of roasted garlic. We were surprised to be quickly seated in the mostly full restaurant, despite not having a reservation. First and foremost...the food and atmosphere were awesome. Unfortunately, the poor service lessened an otherwise nice evening and an even better creation from the kitchen. The waitress was incessantly chewing gum with her mouth open and seemed annoyed of our presence in general. After waiting over 20 minutes for our desert, we reminded her of our desert order. Not having a desert available is one thing...but having to run after it is another ... we could have been informed much earlier. To the Kitchen's (or chef"s) credit, someone else came out, apologized, and gave us a different desert on the house (Thank you).
The food was pretty good. The fish didn't taste fresh though. We sent it back..The Eggplant Parmesan was delicious. However,it was a small portion for how much it cost..Service was excellent
We went there last night with some friends the food was very good nice ambience the tables are packed too closely especially in the patio area. But the server was the worst I have ever experienced. He was rude, didn't come to our table for almost 20 minutes to even get our drink order. Every time we needed something we had to ask the hostess to go get him. He definitely should not be in this business where you need some people skills which he has none, he's more suited to work at the DMV. He just ruined the experience of a nice dinner with friends. We probably would go back again but if he is our server I would ask for somebody else
Our food was good. Very vibrant, busy restaurant, but our service was so HORRIBLE that it ruined our experience. Perhaps our waiter Alexio thought we were tourists and did not matter. We are locals and this was our first visit. All other tables were served bread and pesto immediately upon arrival. We asked three times for bread and pesto as it looked delicious. I'll never know as we never received the pesto and a dish of bread was delivered at the very end of the meal. We ordered 2 bottles of wine, 3 appetizers, entrees and desserts but still had to work hard to get Alexio's attention. We were constantly tryng to catch his eye which he was a master at averting. We will not return.
From the very moment you approach Foretti’s Italian Restaurant, the experience starts off on a bizarre note. Standing at the entrance is a man, likely in his sixties, whose job is apparently to greet guests and guide them to their tables. However, his multitasking skills seem woefully inadequate. Caught up in a phone call, he completely fails to acknowledge anyone who dares to say “hello.” Perhaps it’s time for him to retire—if you can’t manage two simple tasks at once, there’s little hope for excelling at anything else. At this point, his sole skill seems to be standing at the door, adding absolutely nothing to the guest experience. Once inside, the situation doesn’t improve. The servers at Foretti’s seem to believe they are doing you a favor by acknowledging your presence. Their air of superiority and snobbish attitude is astonishing, as if they were gracing a Michelin-starred establishment with their service (spoiler: they’re not). Watching them carry out their duties with such disdain for the customers was truly a sight to behold, though not in a good way. To top it all off, I made the unfortunate decision to leave a $75 tip. Now, I can only feel regret and frustration for having rewarded service that was far from deserving. In hindsight, even leaving a dollar would have felt overly generous for such an underwhelming experience. Foretti’s might boast an Italian flair, but the only thing remarkable about this restaurant is how expertly it makes you feel unwelcome and undervalued. Needless to say, this is one place I’ll never be revisiting. If you’re looking for a great dining experience, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
This place is probably fine IF you are known by the staff. We requested a table where we can sit side by side and told no. So I faced the brick wall. 2 couples arrived AFTER we did and were warmly greeted and seated side by side at a table of four so they both could look out at the room. Further... since it appeared they all knew Monika the waitress, they had long discussion, ordered and were SERVED before we were given menus. Yes, the custom boots the patron had on were made in Texas. Of course! We were served stale bread by one of the helpers and it took a good 10 minutes for Monika to grace us with her presence and remove the stale bread. Who serves stale bread... I mean hard as rock. What worried me is that Monika probably handled all the bread to make sure before providing a replacement. I doubt she washed her hands. The food was OK but nothing special the wine was mediocre. Finally, while we had dinner, Monika sat at the bar flirting with another (apparently) well known person. In summary, if you know someone there then go. If you are from out of town or local and not on a first name basis with the staff, you would have a better experience elsewhere. My reply... My point was and is that one needs to know your establishment to obtain service. Others requested a table... good for them. How would I know to do this?
My gluten free raviolis were not gluten free, they made me sick!
Definitely do not recommend to anyone , service was a bit slow at the beginning , then our waiter was in a hurry and seemed stressed out, another younger one came later and asked to take away our plates while one of the plates was almost half full!! The patio is toooo crowded too many tables in a small space you can barely move there ! The lobster ravioli was okay , the 50/50 was bad and obviously quickly done that the ground meat is still in lumps ! Wine selection was good , and finally the chocolate soufflé was over cooked more like a chocolate cake with no soft center !!! Have been there two years ago and it was much better , apparently everything deteriorated since our last visit .
This was for a take out order. We picked up our order for several pizzas and some other things. They gave us the wrong pizza and when I called them they were not willing to give us the pizza we paid for. The manager was rude and had a poor attitude. He should have offered to replace the pizza but all he said was, “its not a big deal, you are just missing the Prosciutto!” Shame on him for not admitting they made a mistake and for not correcting their mistake. They definitely don’t care about service!
