We just moved here from fort worth and have really missed the food but the other places here just don't cut it. Today we found out place to go! 😊 service and food great..

Unfussy, authentic, tasty. My friend had the steak fajitas and they were awesome. I had a combination platter with pork tamale, ground beef chalupa and ground beef taco. There was so much food. She took half of her fajitas home, but I couldn't eat the taco. We also had a side of creamy, delicious guacamole, and an order of sopapillas--delish!!

The green rice is a definite upgrade!

Loved the service, food, and timing. Had a great first experience! As soon as we walked in the host jumped to sit us, we recieved our drinks immedietly, and our waiter checked on us consistently! He was extremly nice. I did ask the host for his name when we payed and his name was luis. Amazing place will be going back!

We ordered breakfast burritos and really enjoyed them. We usually have our work meetings here and never have complaints. The food is always good and fresh. Highly recommend.

It's been 2 years in this town trying the local pseudo Mexican imposters! With that said I have to say I'm looking forward to my next 20 visits here at El Mexicano Grill. My first time here and all I can say is THANK GOD. Truly a great place to eat! Service was impeccable and the food abundantly delicious. Got a go now! I tried several Mexican food places in Corsicana, and El Mexicano is my favorite. I'm vegan and they were attentive to my needs for my diet, they asked follow up questions to make sure they got my order right. Anyone who gives this place a bad review was looking for a reason to be upset and clearly took their bad day out on this restaurant and their staff. Their chips were not greasy, their food is authentic Mexican food, and YES, THEY HAVE PUBLIC BATHROOMS FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS. I love their food and the staff and will definitely be coming back. 👍🏻 Oh, and you will have plenty of food left over too. No problems with food portions. Chill atmosphere, and the decor felt very traditional.

Delicious Mexican food! Reasonable prices, large portions and excellent service. They remolded the building and the decorations are lovely. This was a very nice place to eat. They should really hang on to their chef. She is superb!

This place was AMAZING!! My husband and I both ordered the tacos, him chicken and me beef. Such a good flavor! And the salsa will grab ahold of you and won't let go, but it's just too damn good to stop eating. LOVE how they are open late. Great place to visit after a concert!!

Moved to Austin 8 months ago and still haven't found any place there who can beat El Mexicano Gill's chicken fajitas. They are the best!! Wait staff is awesome. They remembered our drink and appetizer order just now--we haven't been here since we moved 8 months ago. How's that for service?! I love this place!!

Took my Bride here for lunch. Service is great, staff was friendly and attentive and fun. Food came very quickly. I especially liked the three dipping sauces they brought out when we sat down, to go with the chips. Also, I’m not sure, but the tortillas tasted freshly made. I loved eating here

My family and I stopped in as we were passing through to another city. It about 8am when we arrived; we were the only patrons at the time so service was prompt and friendly. The food took about 15 mins to come out and everything tasted great. The portions were huge for a great price. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and inviting. We left happy and will stop in again the next time we pass through.

We gathered for impromptu surprise birthday lunch for my sister Vivian and friend Vickie, both born in Aug. Service was prompt. Food and drinks delicious. The beautiful ladies sang Happy birthday to the two ladies who they adorned with beautiful sombreros and served sopa type chocolate topped desserts. Thank you for always making our visits so special.

Service was excellent. Clean, bright environment with an awesome menu. Deciding what to order was almost impossible. The only thing I wish they were vegatarian refried beans.

Taco Salad is good. Was looking forward to free Queso that you normally get at lunch but I guess the cut backs have taken this away. They have a good hot sauce served warm

Great place for breakfast, come hungry. Large servings. $15.00 total for the migas plate with coffee, tax and 20% tip. The map location is wrong. They have moved about a half-mile east on the south side of Hwy 31, into a new building where Western Union shows on the map as of this date.

Never a bad experience. Salsa changes on each visit. Sometimes it is hot and other times it is more mild, but still delicious. Always a great and fast staff!

Have been at their new location twice now. Food has always been great and staff are very nice. However, both times the servers take a long time to check the tables to see if anyone needs anything. If that is fixed then this place will do very well and I will give 5 stars. Once again food is amazing!

I would have gone to Fiesta Grill, but they were closed. This place is not my first choice for Mexican food, but it isn’t the worst. I love the tea and recommend the Tacos with rice. DO NOT GET BEANS!! They taste like burnt popcorn. But I did get some good fun out of the jukebox. I played some pop songs and then rick rolled everyone. 😂

I’m an outta towner working here, after two or three tries, I found this pretty good little restaurant. Restrooms are very clean, food is very good, service is very good, prices are good.. I would’ve given it five stars if they had homemade tortillas, but those are hard to come by these days. But I’ll definitely be back.

Well this was our first visit. It has the wide open space. Although it was new the decorations was limited. We did like the corner booths. We got there around 9am. So what empty but we notice it had come and good patron's. We were able to get seated fast and the waitress allowed us time to go over the menu. Ill give at least one gold star because the full menu was available not just breakfast. We did have to pay for the chips and hot sauce, it only free at 11am. So the food, it was good. They gave us two different hot sauces we both live there "hot" option and it was served warm, yummy. I went with my standard the Crispy Taco plate and the wife had their Huevos Rancheros plate. Ill let the photos speak for the taste. I see a late lunch early dinner in the near future..Hopefully a 5 star soon.

I thought this wan a new restaurant, but since, I have learned it is a relocated one. A lot of people in town recommend this place and another, both of which are not what I am looking for in tex-Mex. I had once been to the old location and was not planning on coming back. Not horrible, not bad. Maybe the best explanation is it is not what I'm use to. In my opinion definitely not traditional Tex-Mex. However, although the enchiladas were not my favorite, they were not bad. I had one cheese, one beef, and one chicken. The chicken was my favorite of the three. The only thing that i think about going back for are the DELICIOUS CHARRO BEANS! Keep in mind I have only had 2 items and two visits.

This is a generous 3 stars. The chips were over cooked the taco shell was over cooked. Haven't been since they were in the old house across the street and something didn't make the trip with them. Was disappointed.

Food was good, portions plentiful , service was good, salsa was good, both bathrooms needed attention, friendly service, very steady customer stream. Overall, pretty good.

Had the lunch fajitas. It does not come with guacamole, salsa, cheese, or sour cream. Asked for quacamole 3 times but never got it. Got the sour cream and cheese after 1 asking and the salsa after asking twice. Final cost $11.25 for what is normally like $8 at any other place. Yes they charge for all the extras. It is clean but not much flavor or spices so if you like bland its good.

If you are looking for real good authentic Mexican food do not come here. The beans tasted like they come from a can. The breakfast potatoes tasted like they came out of a frozen bag. My food had no flavor. I picked at my food and ended up leaving a plate full of food. I lost my appetite. The only thing flavorful was the chips and salsa. I wouldn't go back. I gave it three stars because it was very clean and the staff was very nice.

Stopped here while traveling through the town. A typical smalltown, comfy, Mexican restaurant. The service was outstanding. Servers were very polite and attentive. The food was pretty good, and the prices were even better. Only complaints that we had were the chips were stale and the window we were sitting next to seemed to be leaking air inside. It was 48 degrees outdoors. Asked for fresh chips and we were told that there were none. Served its purpose and didn't break the bank at all.

Food was bland, beef tasted like cardboard. Margarita was warm even with ice floating in it. Service was mediocre.

Salsa, queso & food was awful I took two bites out of my enchiladas & said no! What was even worse was the price for something that tasted awful I almost didn’t want to pay $44 dollars for our two meals!!

My friend and I found this place by doing a Google search and it was rated at least 4stars. We had been driving for hours and admittedly was looking forward to another resturant. Nonetheless, we were starving and excited. We should've walked out when we got our chips and salsa because th chips were stale, but again we were starving. So we asked for another basket of chips, also stale and we could tell they came out of a bag and not freshly made; that was sorta understandable as not all Mexican places make theirs fresh. Our queso and jalapenos had a funny taste like it came out of an aluminum can and sat in the same can for days. Our food came and it was unacceptable because the ground meat had a burnt taste like they burned th bottom of the pot and tried to save the top portion of the meat. And then a fly landed on my friend's taco and it was the final straw for us. I only paid for my food because we are black, was in a new town, and my courage ran out the door when the fly landed. I wish I had stood up for my principals when I had the chance to. Btw I did leave a tip and the cashier was very nice it was not their fault.

Bland overpriced food. Horrible salsa, that tasted like marinara sauce. Bagged stale chips. The only plus was we later realized they forgot to charge us for my weak margarita. The waiter was nice tho. We won't be back.

Place isn't all what its cracked up to be. We hosted a birthday party for a friend. They sat us in the very back which was fine, but they had all of us sitting in different booths. There was like 13 of us all together. The servers seemed irritated that there was so many people. Everytime you would ask for more salsa or chips they would get mad. The foods not to bad but the staff isn't the best.

We eat here every week once a week. Never again our waitress was the rudest person I have ever met. We had 3 people at the table one bowl of chips and two very small bowls of salsa. I asked for one more bowl of salsa so we would all have a bowl which is very small. She replied with they only give two bowls of salsa per table. So one of us moved to another table. She refused service to him unless he moved to where he could see us in the restaurant. Needless to say I paid for one drink which I shouldn't have but I did and we walked out I will never return to the restaurant if you where the only one left on earth.

This establishment is okay. I wouldn't go back. Service is very slow & the food was bland.

No vegetarian options. Cheese quesedilla was pretty aweful. Tasted like it was heated on a meat grill.

First time here it was ok wasn’t the best but it took long to get our food & I ordered pozole I’m used to it having shredded cabbage, onions, radish, & cilantro for the toppings & I got onions & lettuce I was a bit disappointed but I asked our server for the cilantro, radish & cabbage. She did say they don’t have cabbage so I was a bit more disappointed but overall this is my opinion I just wouldn’t come back again thank you

My wife and I eat here once a week. The food is consistently good. The service has been terrible lately. They have hired a lot new young people who stand in the kitchen and by the bar area on their phones. Two of the last three times we went, we left without eating. It's never very busy, but we couldn't even get water within a reasonable amount of time. They never took our order either. We are considered regulars. They do not have a designated hostess at the door to seat people. If one of the waitresses happens to see you, you may get seated. Our last visit (Aug 2), we never got water refills or our check. We could see our waitress sitting at the bar on her phone the entire time. I just walked up to the cash register, and someone came to ring me up. Free business advice: Retrain the waitresses and limit their phone usage if they have customers.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant, the waitress was so hateful and rude.. Plus they constantly charge you little fees that they don't tell you about until you get the bill and then they can't even explain them to you... There are definitely better Mexican restaurant options in Corsicana then going here, I won't be back...

Waiter was either new or didn't know what she was doing. The food was trash no seasoning dry, the chips were hard and sharp etc.

Had then before and it was decent. This last trip made myself and my guests sick. They also charge per refill without telling you.

We came to eat. Seated and drink order taken. We only received some of our drinks. We also ordered an additional drink and queso. We never received either. After 45 minutes of waiting, and watching 3 other large tables come in after us get served and already eating, we asked for a manager. We ended asking for a manager 2 more times and the last person asked what was wrong and we told them we hadn't received our drinks or our queso and other people are already 1/2 way done eating that came in after us. Instead of getting a manager they hurried up and got our order. We told them it was too late we are going elsewhere to eat. They made us pay for our food that we never got to eat and told us the manager would be there tomorrow if we wanted dispute it. Totally unprofessional

Wanted some tortilla soup. Simple easy. Didn’t expect to wait almost an hour. Oh and they made us pay before and were bewildered when we said we didn’t want it anymore and to give us a refund. Will never try this location again

Poor service salsa was extremely Spivey and I can usually eat spicy no problem. I ordered the casandra special and it was supposed to be served in a sauce it wasn’t so was just burning on the bowl. Not very flavorful food ether. Won’t be back.

Seated me at a table that was filthy underneath. Took 10 minutes for someone to find me. Hot sauce and chips were bad. I should have left then. Poor service. Server disappeared and had to get the chips guy to find her to get my check. Finally another server brought me my check. First and last time to eat there.

The Chicken enchiladas were salty the refried beans taste like they were scorched. I ate three bites and was forced to pay, when I asked for the manager after waiting 5 minutes I was told that the manager was to busy to talk. Wow. I take my 1 star back.

Went tonight and there when I bit into my taco, a BIG LONG HAIR was in there. Gross, but I know this happens sometimes so I can deal with it, right? Wrong. Manager offered to give me $4.00 of my bill instead of offering to either replace my plate or not charge me. I felt insulted. I'm never going back to this place.

I was there Sunday afternoon 3/11/2018 . Im very saddend they went ahead took an extra 5.00 from my debit card without my consent I even put zero on tip line and they went ahead took my money. So i called request a refund back of my $5.00 back. People work hard for their daily bread and just for someone to steal it. I think its not rite. I call the cashier was fine send her the proof of the receipt and got the bank transaction statment what else more do they need to show I was rob. I believe I was entitle to have them deposit to my account or mail my refund they were so rude cus me out over the phone. Very disrespectful to me . I strongly encourage if you go there to eat please double check your receipt cus these lying ppl will do it in heart beat. Yes I made a police report i wasnt going to do it just simply the lady who handle my call cus me out thougth $5.00 was nothing. So imagine if they do this type of stealing how more people they stole. Please take this in consideration. Oh by the way the lady who handle my call she stated she wad one of the manger went hay wire use profound language what kind of work ethic are they being taught.

Food had a hair in it sent it back they sent out another plate of food that we did not order we took it home that had a hair in it once again, was not discounted in the first place and charged for food that no one ate, called back to come and get a refund for it and they refused to refund it or discount it even with a picture of the plate of food with hair in it.

The takeout service here is lacking. I placed an order and was told it’d take 20 to be ready. I showed up and waited an additional 15 minutes for my food only for the entire order to be wrong. Even after they attempted to fix it, things were still wrong. On top of everything, the side portions were pretty small. While the food tasted good, you’d be better off going else where to avoid the headache this mix up caused.

Wow!! I don't think we would've got chips and salsa if wasn't for us asking a completely different waiter. Then on top of that black stuff from the ice machine in my water. Didnt notice that til I brought the drink closer to my face. My order was messed up but then again our waiter was confused about everything. Overall just bad! This is the third time it's gone wrong. It just keeps getting worse. I'm done here

I didn’t usually leave reviews but the food was really bad and so was the salsa maybe the locals like it cause they’ve never had real Mexican food but don’t go here man.

Went to the new location Saturday the 27th of April. The food wasn't good and the service was really bad. Nobody cracked a smile. This is a lot different than the old location. The restaurant was dirty (most tables). Our server and lots of employees seemed to be having a bad day. Maybe they were short staffed. Several orders were wrong when they got to the table. Our ticket was wrong and the cashier wanted to argue with a bad attitude instead of check for accuracy with the server. We paid for something extra on our ticket. Sometimes you just don't want to argue. Bad experience overall. Disappointed! Won't go back!!!!

Terrible experience! Waited to be seated 5 minutes then the server quoted the wrong price on beer ( said it was 1.79 we paid 3.75) told us the special was all beers all day and it wasnt! Only got our fajitas and waited 7 more minutes to get rice and beans and that was after asking and they only brought one at a time! Refused to fix the price of the beer. Server only checked on us once or twice. Was there over an hour and was pretty much ignored ! The salsa was good but other then that it was small portions of rice and very thin meat! Will definitely not go back 😡

The waitress asked me what kind of dressing I wanted on my taco salad. I asked if I could just have queso instead of a dressing. She said sure and then when I got the bill they charged me $6.00 for a small queso. I asked to speak to a manager and the manger wouldn't work with me so my friends and family will not be going back.

Decided to go eat with my family for 1st time to give them a try & we stood waiting at the front for a while to be seated, nobody ever came to seat us nor greet us. Waitress would pass by look our direction & ignore us. Decided to leave & when we were leaving waitress saw we were leaving & still didn’t say anything.

My friend ordered ceviche tostadas. The ceviche was bad, as on like it had been sitting there for weeks. My friend returned and said she didn't want anything else. When we got the check, they still try to charge me for those, the waitress said the manager had told her she needed to charge bc the food had been made.

Food was mid, and the server we had was horrible, asked for extra salsa, didn't get it till 20mins later, food didn't come out all together, mine was like 5 mins after everyone's else, we were done and sat for 15mins, had to go find her. To make it even worse, she checked me out and marked were the tip goes, like i live in a cave and never go out to eat, like I have worked in food industry and give a tip but not this time. Wouldn't recommend it.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The fajita meat is not really fajita meat. What they serve you is flank steak, but the menu clearly says fajita. I questioned the manager about this. Her response was i know this is not fajita meat." I used to be a cook. That's just how they prepare it here." Terrible service. The manager went to get our waitress and came back to tell me she could not find our waitress. This place is a joke.
