One of my favourite places in Milan. High quality wine at reasonable prices, friendly and knowledgable staff and a tomato basil flan that will make you cry it's so delicious. A couple of lovely vegetarian options, lots of meat and fish all in a traditional and cosy setting. Also their decanters are so cool. Those cool decanters that you don't know which hole to pour out of cool.

Buona scelta di vini e ottimo il ristorante, imperdibili gli spaghetti freschi al ragù (di polpo in estate e di maialino nero calabrese in inverno) ed impeccabile il polpo. Buoni anche i dolci. Consigliatissimo

Il posto si trova in un luogo comodo da raggiungere e in caso ci sono anche parcheggi a pagamento. Il cameriere che ci ha servito è stato molto disponibile e attento a tutto, e anche molto simpatico. Il posto è piccolo ma sempre negli standard di Milano. Il locale ha una vasta scelta di vino mentre il menù è molto stagionale. Il cameriere si intende bene di vino, ci ha consigliato lui cosa accompagnare alla nostra cena. Io ho preso le uova con porcini fritti e crema di tartufo, lo consiglio anche magari a chi non piace il tartufo perché era molto delicato, mentre l’altra persona ha preso una tartare di manzo, fatta bene e ordinaria, quindi gustosa. A seguire abbiamo preso i cappelletti in brodo e pappardelle con porcini e raspadura, due piatti gustosi ed interessanti. Per chi non lo sapesse la raspadura è un formaggio tipico di Lodi. Abbiamo poi concluso con due cheesecake molto buone. Il conto è stato nella norma per quello che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto, e per essere a Milano ancora prezzi competitivi. Sicuramente ci tornerò a mangiare più e più volte. Lo consiglio per qualsiasi occasione anche per pranzi o cene in tante persone, dato che quella sera c’era una tavola. Adatto anche alle famiglie con figli. Aperto a tutti anche agli intolleranti al glutine.

Elegante enoteca con cucina, ma una cucina raffinata che merita di essere provata. La cena organizzata come conviviale dall’Accademia Italiana della Cucina, quindi menù programmato dal simposiarca in onore della cucina meneghina: focaccia genovese e olive verdi di Cerignola, Flan di funghi con salsa allo scalogno fondente, Risotto “Ferraris” alla milanese con sugo d’arrosto, Cotoletta di vitello alla milanese patate al forno e millefoglie di cardi, Tortino di cioccolato fondente e crema inglese. Nonostante qualche intoppo nel servizio, probabilmente eravamo in tanti da servire contemporaneamente, le pietanze erano di qualità, ho particolarmente apprezzato il risotto alla milanese con riso Ferraris e il millefoglie di cardi. Sicuramente un locale dove ritornare

Bella l’atmosfera: nonostante sia abbastanza piccolo, non c’è eccessivo rumore. Il menù propone alcuni classici milanesi, come i mondeghili e il risotto giallo. Ho provato il risotto ed era davvero buonissimo. Fiorentina di contorno condivisa con altri molto buona. Ottima carta dei vini, con molta scelta per ogni fascia di prezzo. Il servizio è ottimo, con personale molto disponibile. Il prezzo non è basso, ma comunque in linea con in ristoranti milanesi di questo tipo: abbiamo speso circa 85€ a persona con 1 promo e 1 dolce a testa, 2 fiorentine condivise in 4 persone e 2 bottiglie di vino. Difficile trovare parcheggio in zona.

I ate at La Cantina di Manuela near Milano Risorgimento Square and had a delightful experience. The risotto alla milanese was quite nice, though I found it a bit heavy and buttery, and it could have used some saffron on top. I expected a better quality for the price. The ravioli with ricotta and prawn were delicate and flavorful, but the portion was rather small. The highlight of the meal was the tiramisu, which was one of the best I've ever had. The service was lovely and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable evening.

Cena numerosa con menù fisso proposto dalla casa. Tre primi da condividere: ravioli del plin buoni, tagliatelle di spinaci con un ragù di cacciagione francamente insufficienti (fredde, ossa nel ragù), un buon riso milanese. Tra i secondi il rombo era buono ma accompagnato da un carciofo fritto poco curato, con molte foglie di scarto poco masticabili. Buono il panettone finale, con poca crema. Il sospetto è che i migliori piatti (plin e panettone) non siano nemmeno veri prodotti della cucina... Ma è una supposizione. In generale ho recepito poca cura nella gestione della serata: il locale era pieno, con soli due camerieri, e il servizio ne ha sofferto. Ottimo vino, ma non capisco l'entusiasmo verso questo locale.

Posto bello, servizio buono, cibo medio. Menù personalmente difficile da apprezzare. E anche poi quando sono arrivati i piatti erano sbilanciati; ad esempio troppo salati. Personalmente ho fatto fatica a digerire.

I had higher hopes for this place. I booked it for my father’s 60th birthday (which I included in the reservation, so I was expecting some sort of better attention) - by all means it’s not bad, but not very good either. Starters: the one with prawns was incredibly small Like, two tablespoons in total small - the favors very deep here and nicely served! Tartare: salmon - catch of the day: I was hoping a Mediterranean fish. Salmon is not native here….very, very bland :( 1st dish: excellent raviolo pasta: the only thing I really enjoyed. Mules: bland, overpowered by additions too. Mains (we tried 4 different): the quality was definetely not the same in all the dishes. Squid we would recommend! The rest - not really. Rather boring flavors, lacks depth, lacks additions. Nothing stood out. Desserts: usually, Italy’s best - here nothing special. Chocolate cake was the best. Service : not super welcoming. Waiter was professional, but I had to ask him to told me about the wine, also another one was serving us in the meantime - who was much warmer btw. Big wine selection - absolutely. Personally, I wouldn’t come back. The food has quite a long way to go, so I’m quite sad I chose this place actually.

I so wished this place will be excellent…The whole experience: the interior is nice but is missing this last touch; the food is good but presentation is mediocre and the taste doesn’t go far enough; desserts are sweet but lack the depth of flavor. What should improve is the selection of dishes: it’s rather basic and without quality foundation such as good piece of fish or meat. Presentation is not stunning…it doesn’t invite you to try that dish. In the positive side, the wine list is great and extensive and service is good. Overall, there is room for improvement….

Servizio veramente pessimo, camerieri che si parlano urlando tra di loro come se fossimo a una fiera di paese. Ambiente rustico senza se e senza ma. Cibo buono ma niente di eccezionale, facilmente dimenticabile.

Confermo l'opinione del sig.re Vilardo di un paio di mesi fa. Location bella, scelta varia di etichette dei vini. Ideale, forse, per fare una degustazione con un togliere di formaggi/saluti. Servizio gentile e cortese. Sconsiglio vivamente e personalmente, il fritto di pesce; mancanza totale di gamberi, gamberetti in compenso una vastità di sardine/alici (forse per il basso costo?). Prezzo alto per la qualità del piatto.

Credo sia la prima volta nella mia vita che mi prendo il tempo di scrivere una recensione negativa. Sono italo-argentina e oggi sono stata al ristorante con una famiglia di amici provenienti dall’Argentina. Purtroppo il servizio da parte del cameriere è stato davvero deludente. Era un uomo sulla quarantina, calvo. Non è stato gentile e, dato che i miei amici non parlavano italiano, non ha fatto molto per cercare di aiutarci. Ci guardava con un’espressione scostante e ha ritirato i piatti in modo piuttosto brusco. Spero sinceramente che fosse solo una giornata difficile per lui, perché se tratta sempre così i clienti rischia davvero di allontanarli. Ci ha fatto sentire molto a disagio. Un vero peccato.

A place where you can leave hungry and disappointed by the staff. A few days ago, I went to this restaurant for dinner. I chose it because I had already been there twice before and enjoyed it. But this time was different. As always, I ordered the Fiorentina steak. It arrived already overcooked, and since it was served on a hot stone, it kept cooking even more. The result? Completely inedible — it was like chewing the sole of a shoe. I mentioned this to one of the waiters. He apologized and said he would speak to the owner. He even agreed that the steak looked overcooked and that even with the hot stone, it shouldn’t have ended up like that. After some time passed with no follow-up, I spoke to a second waiter. He told me, “I’ll pass this info to the owner.” Then, after waiting 20–25 minutes, the owner finally came over — but didn’t say a single word. He simply brought over the card machine, processed the payment, and left — as if nothing had happened. I’ve never experienced such indifference from a restaurant owner. They ruined the steak and my dinner, and no one even had the decency to apologize.

We stopped by this restaurant around 8 PM on a weekday, right after the rain. The place was completely empty—no guests at all. Despite that, when we walked in, the staff looked at us and asked if we had a reservation. We didn’t, and they told us they only accept guests with reservations. It felt more like they simply didn’t want to let us in, even though we were dressed appropriately and the dining room was entirely vacant. The whole interaction came off as unfriendly and unwelcoming. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
