Great experience here! Staff was friendly and very attentive! Also food came quick and everything was fresh! Our favorites were the surf clam and yellowtail nigiri!
The happy hour Monday through Thursday $24.95 only on rolls not whole menu with sushi . The overall experience was good , rolls were fresh worth the price . We’ll be back !
Perfect casual spot to grab sushi with friends & family. Parking: Free parking lot. Easy to find a spot. Ambiance/Environment: It’s a very casual spot. They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating. You can choose to sit at the bar or table. Service: Everyone was courteous, quick, & efficient! The server checked on me a few times ensuring if I needed anything. Since I sat at the bar, the sushi chefs were also making conversations with me. Foods: Their fish was fresh, smooth, and delicious! I absolutely enjoyed everything! I saw they’re most popular for the Lemon Pepper Salmon. I can agree, now I know why it’s so popular. My favorite rolls are the Mango Salmon special roll. The mango sauce was sooo good! It was a tad sweet but balanced well with the salmon. Although the bluefin tuna was limited per person, it was so delicious. 1. Diablo Roll (special rolls) 2. Mango Salmon Roll (special rolls) 3. Magnolia (no rice rolls) 4. Salmon Skin (hand rolls) 5. Popcorn Crawfish (baked & tempura rolls) 6. Mango Avocado Salad 7. Peppered Salmon (sushi) 8. Ikura (sushi) 9. Bluefin Tuna (sushi) 10. Jalapeño Bomb (appetizer) Pricing: Definitely worth its AYCE price! There’s so many options in each category. I only lasted 1.5 rounds lol.
This restaurant is All You Can Eat Type and had happy hour every working day. Honestly, the quality and taste of sushi were really good. We were three and had wide variety of sushi choices. Everything was fresh. The experience was beyond my expectations from an All You Can Eat place
I recently tried Koyi Sushi AYCE (All you can eat) after seeing a random influencer’s post regarding its happy hour, and it did not disappoint! Superb food. Before going, I checked all info on its website but didn't find any Happy Hour mentioned so I reached out to the restaurant and got the confirmation that Happy Hour is available from 12 PM to 4 PM at the price of **$24.95 per person everyday. The Happy Hour menu offers all kinds of rolls (with rice) while the regular lunch menu is priced at $33.95, which includes not only rolls, but also appetizers, sashimi (no rice), and salads. Dinner is priced at $38.95. * *Happy Hour $24.99 on blue menu should be a printing error. ( Cross checked with my receipt that $24.95 per person was charged.) Our group of five decided to try almost everything on menu. Each roll dish served 5 or 8 pieces, and the rice portions were reasonable so we probably ordered 3 rounds. The sashimi on rolls was super fresh, and the scallops were so delicious that we ordered them twice. The tempura one was quite special. There was also a refreshing mango and salmon roll combination that I’d never tried before. The special rolls had creative names and unique flavors. Overall, we really enjoyed everything, and we were too full to have dinner! Extensive & delicious selections, great service and the value for money was excellent. I’ll definitely come back for another round! Just a heads up: if you have leftover more than 2 pieces, you’ll be charged extra, so remember to read everything on menu and just order enough food you can finish. **Koyi Sushi AYCE ** 2075 Newport Blvd #108, Costa Mesa, CA 92627
Nice selection of sushi. Good place for lunch or dinner for those who like to try a variety of sushi, or for those who like to pig out
10/10 sushi with AYCE option. We are so happy to have found this place. Sushi is so good. All the classics and a lot of creative items. Everything we tried was delicious. We loved the quality of the fish and the service was fast and friendly.
we felt very welcomed by the friendly owners. everything was very well made especially the nigiris; there were so little rice compared to the thick pieces of fish. each roll had 8 pieces and were made fresh in front of us. 10/10 would recommend :)
Went here for their lunch special. Not a bad deal $33.95 for AYCE. I sat at the bar and the sushi chefs were helpful and fast. I enjoyed everything I ate and def would come back for the lunch deal. In addition this month of January they do buy 1 get 1 free sake or beer which is another great deal. Def enjoyed my visit here. Will be back to get these deals.
ATTN: THIS PLACE DESERVES YOUR BUSINESS!!!! The fish is so fresh and buttery soft. The Gyoza was SO DELICIOUS and not just hard as a battered and fried rock, like it is in other restaurants. The fried food comes out INSTANTLY from the fryer from the kitchen or behind the sushi counter straight to your table within minutes. The sushi chef is quick, and the staff are kind. My friend had just arrived for a visit and we needed a late night food place. Luckily we arrived by 9:15pm. We got 4 orders of Veggie Tempura, the Monster Roll, 2 unagi rolls, a shrimp roll, a salmon roll, a few hand rolls, and Gyoza. ***NOTE ABOUT HOURS: They're open until 11pm; but it seems like if there's no customers after 10pm, they might close early.***

Sushi quality was soooo good! We were here for the last 1.5 hrs before they closed and it was SOOO GOOD. 😍😍

I was surprised by how many options their happy hour menu had, the variety is definitely worth the price. They had tempura, deep fried rolls, seared salmon, and a bunch of other options. You order in 3 rounds, and most rolls are 8 pieces except a few that are 4-5 pieces. The quality was also very robust, especially for the price. The difference between the full menu and the Happy Hour is that the full menu gives you sashimi and nigiri (just fish, or fish on rice) on top of the rolls, while the happy hour is just rolls. The servers were also attentive and welcoming. I plan on coming back here again for sure, and I’d recommend trying it out.
Our time here was enjoyable due to their amazing service and food quality! We did the AYCE menu and it was so worth it. It was 38.95 for one person a bit pricey but the rolls and nigiri size were adequate for the price and it include appetizers as well. For a date night this was the perfect place to go to.
Amazing AYCE sushi! We decided to check it out late at night and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi and the service. The fish quality was close to omakase level and the servers were so kind. A hidden gem!

My husband and I came here for weekday AYCE lunch and were impressed by the food quality, flavors, and service. Though the restaurant doesn’t have much seating, we only had to wait a few minutes for them to clean a table and seat us. Our food came out fast and I got to have my favorites like calamari, eel handrolls, and salmon nigiri. The mango salad was also tasty. We noticed that although the rules state they will charge for excess food, the waitress was kind not to charge a group of teenage boys next to us who over-ordered and were so terrified that they couldn’t finish their food. That’s great hospitality.
Great food we ordered baked rolls, tempura rolls, fresh rolls and appetizers all were delicious. Service was great. It did not smell in the restaurant. Would definitely come back.
We heard about this new all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, so we decided to stop by for dinner. In addition to the blue fin tuna sushi, the amebi sushi, and the scallop sushi, I would have liked to have seen sea urchin sushi as well. Compared to other all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants, they offer fewer appetizers. You should keep in mind that we did not receive miso soup and the udon on the menu is not included in the all you can eat menu. In terms of sushi selections, there were not many options, but there was a large selection of rolls. Considering that you order 3 rolls and you are pretty full, it would be nice if they offered a greater variety of sushi. As with the fish, it was fresh, but I was not interested in eating rolls. Overall the services were good and everything came out fast and clean.
Went with a large group of friends to see how the All You Can Eat Experience would turn out! Wait was a bit long which was expected but our waitress did great and got us a table very quickly. She was very sweet and laidback as we placed in order for about 10-15 rolls, sashimi, soups, and appetizers. You can tell they were busy - but service was solid through and through. The fish quality was actually not too bad! The Bluefin for all you can eat was top quality. I was VERY impressed and needed up getting 14 pieces of it. Their craft rolls also had a plethora of options and all had some quality grade sushi. There were some that definitely needed sauces to amplify the flavor, but simply just asking the server helped. The Diablo, Mango Salmon and Popcorn rolls were definitely the top favorites of the night. The appetizers were pretty standard and basic and can never go wrong with Gyoza or Garlic Edamame! The other appetizers like Miso Soup, cheese sticks, wings, not the best and can’t expect too much from a Sushi restaurant. Overall, experience was great, one of the largest range of options for AYCE and again that Bluefin, definitely would be a reason to go with a big group. The more the better! Definitely recommend and solid option!

Very mid, rice was a bit mushy, fish was tasteless. Good value for ayce if you come hungry but nothing spectacular. Hole in the wall atmosphere, great for a quick bite but wouldn't take a date here.

No AC during a heat wave. So they offered free soda. I feel bad for the workers running around or chef cooking sushi. I came for the happy hour 24.99 special to find out it’s only rolls. They had another for 33.99 I just ended up going with bc I don’t really eat rolls. I wanted to try the nigiri. I also wanted to try the large scallops, ikura as well as blue fin. Turns out those are only available for dinner. I was already there so I just tried it. I typically don’t get rolls but I love the Philly roll even though it’s not Traditional only bc I love cream cheese. They didn’t have it. They had another with cream cheese with mango. Not b ad but they put a mango sauce or sort across the top and it was way too sweet like it should go on a dessert not a roll. I did the burrito bc it was filled with fish but it was so hefty and drenched in sauce. Glad I didn’t get anymore rolls. I did the cucumber salad and nothing special. Not even sesame seeds or any garnish leaving it beyond basic. Thick big cucumber slices. The bay scallop if got in my sushi set was so small. Literally there was maybe two you could see. So thin. I put 4 raw shrimp and received two. I find this common at most sushi places though. They don’t get the counts right. I could always order more. The butter shrimp was a better flavor. The YT was better than the tuna or any of the others. I’m glad I tried it but I wouldn’t come again. Oh, I also ordered hot food and the ponzu tastes so watered down. Too much batter and under cooked veggies. I thought they couldn’t go wrong there but I did not take more an a bit of each. The mussels super basic watery no flavor. also the server gave me my mussels and called it oysters

This was by far the worst sushi buffet experience I’ve ever had. The food tasted spoiled and had a garbage-like smell. When I told the waitress, she dismissed it and suggested maybe I’m “picky” and should just add lemon to fix the smell. Even the roe on some sushi tasted bitter. We were told we could order three rounds and advised to order the limited “special” items in the first round — which we did. Unfortunately, they were all terrible. The octopus was rubbery and tough like leather. The sushi rice tasted old and stale. The seaweed around the rolls was clearly pre-wrapped long ago and smelled rotten. Some of the fish even had a yellowish color from sitting too long. We couldn’t even finish the first round and told them we were still hungry but the food was inedible. They still charged us extra for uneaten items as a “buffet penalty,” which almost doubled our bill. The portions weren’t large — they were just bad. To make things worse, there was a sign in the restroom asking customers not to throw food away and instead admit they couldn’t eat it, which made it feel like they expect this to happen and profit from it. I’ve tried sushi at many places across Orange County and have never experienced anything this bad. We left still hungry, with a terrible aftertaste. Even after washing my hands multiple times, they smelled like garbage, and I later got nausea and diarrhea. Absolutely would not recommend.
I had big hopes that the food was going to be good. I was very embarrassed I invited my date to try a new sushi spot since we both love sushi. He got so sick from the food like food poisoning sick. So disappointed. The fish texture felt as if it had been frozen and thawed several times. The hand roll was as dry as can be. Server was attentive but location is just very dull and boring. It sucks spending 90 bucks for 2 just to end up sick
