Tiki Bar

I had the opportunity to perform here with a new band. It was our debut show and everyone here was wonderful. Thanks for making me feel welcomed. Service was good at the bar. The owner was there and he takes pride in the establishment. Our friends that joined us were expecting to order food, but the kitchen was already closed at 7 pm. Thankfully, they allowed outside food in and my friends ordered some pizza delivered. Worked out perfectly. I look forward to coming here again.

Excellet venue! Went to see Scarlet Siren play and had a wonderful time. The Tiki Bar was very clean with places to sit and stand. The bartenders were very pleasant and their drinks good. It was nice to go to a preformance and have clean restrooms to use. Thank you Tiki Bar, I look forward to returning.

If you're going to a show here you get the opportunity to enjoy the BEST Al Pastor tacos anywhere. Manny makes the very best ever!

Great venue with great decor and stage. The sound quality really works well here and follows through for the enjoyment. My buds Slanderus played here, and it was such a great and fun show with the crowd who were fun and jovial, further providing to the experience. There was dancing, head banging, and social media support and representation. The tacos smelled really good, but I didn't get to try them as I opted to eat elsewhere. The bartender was a sweetheart and deserves all the love, respect, and tips. The staff are also really cool from the door entry to the stage and sound techs. Would love to come here again!

So this is what you would call a little dive bar. However don't take that the wrong way. I had the best time here that I have had in a long time at a bar. Even though their bar is smallish the best part about it was they always have some sort of entertainment going on. So this is what you would call a little dive bar. However don't take that the wrong way. I had the best time here that I have had in a long time at a bar. Even though their bar is smallish the best part about it was they always have some sort of entertainment going on. This time we went and saw midget wrestling which was absolutely the most fun I've had in a truly long time! Hit or miss type of place. I've been chastised once for being a big mouth without earning my stripes. Like battling for a wave, but I can handle that. I've had great conv with the bartenders and lots of fun dancing to some bands, big dancefloor. Mexican food is great, cash only for food, I believe. 10$ min for CC. Cover charge of approx $15 when bands are playing or will be playing.

Didn’t go for food. To me, place felt like a dive bar but a sports bar. Easy to miss the parking lot but happy there were parking spots vs looking for residential spots.

Went to see a band here. Was a great place to see a band. Pretty small and intimate which can be good or bad depending on the band and crowd. Nice outside area to escape. Bar was okay and did not have any of the taco stand outside but it looked good. This place is iconic Costa Mesa

A very cool bar and small concert venue. They have decent beer on tap. Great place to perform if you have a band or music act that you'd like to promote. An old band of mine used to play here on occasion and I recently came to support a group of musicians I've befriended. I'd stand a little more to the left side to balance the sound, as the acoustics favor the right.

Cozy like place. Saw English Beat there, fun show as always They had a great Taco bar in the back with tables and chairs which was perfect to chow down some good and have a few drinks prior to the show. Had a few mixed drinks & prices were great. Lotsa TV screens, few pool tables so great all around atmosphere.

Not sure on the food didn't have any items. Service is family service you are family family gets served "in a good way'" these guys are without fail a good fun venue for new and old keep playing the real music and support of local bands you guys have always rocked it! Thank you for you! Love Stac

I had never been and was very excited to try their half priced paellla (Sunday special). It was delicious and the atmosphere was very cool! We were seated right away. The service was a little slow, but our server was very nice. We also were given our check without the price reduction. However, the server did realize it before we said anything and brought us the correct bill. Overall, it was a really nice meal!

Great live music. Saw BloodShot Cosmonaut. Nice sized stage, big dance floor area plus tables and chairs if you don't want to stand. A few pool tables if you want to play. Outside patio area is nice. They also have an additional separate patio area for the artists. Come hungry, the taco place on site is fantastic and reasonably priced. Jason was friendly and helpful on where to park, unload etc. Appreciated that

My only complaint was the band that was supposed to play didn't play after like 1hr and 15min of waiting so we left and go to another bar for music and dance. My bf talked to the bartender and she said it's always been like this for the band so 🤷‍♀️ if you want to go see a band play, make sure you show up 1.5 hr late!

Parking is a small nightmare as the businesses across and next door to the venue have signs they will tow. I ended up parking and walking about a block or so away to a laundromat. Upon entering the venue, a nice man named Kyle ran the guest list. Drinks are reasonably priced, but got very crowded towards the last hour of the night. It was somewhat difficult to get the dilly-dallying bartenders to pay attention for orders, and you would think with a full bar that a bloody Mary could be mixed up reasonably easy here. That was not the case. On the positive side, lots of ethusiastic people dressed up in the spirit of Yacht Rock smooth grooves from the 70's and 80's. Lots of smiling, dancing, and reminiscing of fun tunes of my childhood... though interrupted by two very drunk girls spilling their drinks on me. Luckily, I was wearing a jacket and boots. The band was very fun and interactive, had a wide diversity of music and talent with high energy and I overall had a fun night!

Went there for a comedy the other night. Parking is a bit tight. Get there early or get dropped off. If you are going there for a show or special event. The Tiki bar is average. I would like to see the seating not be so cramped for the show. I know they are trying to have as many paying customers as they can, but you had better know the people you are sitting with because they cram you there with the small plastic chairs. This was VIP section with rows of very small plastic chairs. You will be touching the people you are next to. If you are a full size adult or forebid a bigger sized adult don't get the VIP seating. The general seating was much better. They did not have any servers in the bar just bar tenders. You could only get to the bar for drinks if you were in the non-vip seating during the show. This seems a bit backwards. Live and learn.

I'm giving 3 stars mainly because this really isn't my kind of place. It's spacious, looked clean, has a large bar and pool tables. They have concerts on the weekends and maybe sometimes during the week, so that might appeal to some people. It was crowded the day I was there at about 4:30 pm.. The bartender was friendly and attentive however she was not able to leave the bar to serve us at the table where we sat.

The pool cues were all old and rickety, should be replaced. The vending machine doesn't work. There's no free WiFi. The parking lot is tiny. Free ice water. Patio behind the place is cool. Taco stand behind the place is cool. Golf game inside is cool. There is almost no actual tropical/tiki decor. They made the drinks too strong, enough where I couldn't stomach my cocktail. The music playing here is going to be the best part of your visit.

Customer service is glitch. Couldn’t even spend our money there. Bartender too interested in hugging the male patrons. Sat for 10 minutes and could get her to serve us. The patrons tried to get us to stay but nope. Shouldn’t have to sit at the bar and wait for bartender to hug on the guys and sort through her bikini box. Second time service has sucked. And drinks over priced for basic mixed drink.

Place is cool but the sound guys blew my ears with someones snare at max volume. Some drummer was asking them to adjust and the curly hair sound guy just sat there drunk and on another planet hahaha

Have been there 4 times to play pool and there has either been a cover or a private event. Even if you get there at 7pm and there’s no on there. Awesome spot, but needs to figure out the cheaper offers for people there 3 hours before and not host private events during the weekend.

They will not provide chairs for ADA people. It's a run-down hole-in-the-wall with overpriced drunks. There's not enough parking for events, and most lots in the area will tow.

With only two girls present amidst a sea of dudes, the imbalance made interactions feel slightly uncomfortable and notably less dynamic than usual. It wasn't the typical lively concert vibe—more like a gathering where everyone noticed but nobody openly acknowledged how oddly skewed the attendance was. Overall, while the performances were enjoyable, the uneven crowd composition created a uniquely awkward atmosphere that somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the event felt overpriced considering the awkwardness and lack of atmosphere.

The music was fantastic!! If I could go lower I would. I'll tell it bluntly, I watched the staff harassing one of the young girls playing tonight. I walk out for a cigarette later. Then proceeded to watch this older gentleman (staff) film the young girl and her friend and continue to harass them. Whats happening to this world,if my sister or my daughter were treated like that I would do some unforgivable things. Uncomfortable Environment. Poor Staff. Good Music. Good prices.

It was horrible. Over crowded. People pushing on you. Very low brow place the door man was aggressive with people. Since he was frustrated with the type of people coming in it showed in his demeanor as the night went on drinks were of low/poor quality and over priced for what you got they allowed in too many people literally people were standing right up on o e another no food they went in the back room to bring you a slice of pizza for $5

Decide to try it out after moving to the area for tiki inspired drinks, went on a Friday 24th Wub something (no search ) there was some electronic show going on lots of young people definitely doing and on drugs No tiki drinks at all on regular bar stuff. Was offered to buy drugs inside declined and told the bouncer and left.im pretty sure management knows and look the other way NEVER AGAIN.

I went to this bar October 11, 2024 and had an awful experience with the bouncer at the door. From first meeting he was super rude and not nice even tho you have to pay 10$ just to get in! I watched some of the bands perform for over an hour and noticed he was arguing with one of my friends outside so I went to see what was going on. He was cussing at my female friend and being unbelievably rude to her and she was in one of the bands performing that night!! The “reason” for him acting this way was he would not accept her temporary GOVERNMENT PROVIDED ID and would not let her be anywhere inside the bar except onstage while performing. I would totally understand if he was just enforcing his rules but you can be kind and professional about enforcing rules and this man was absolutely not. He used this as an excuse to degrade, film, cuss, and be a bully to us which is unacceptable from one of your staff members. We tried to sit outside in the parking lot to listen and support the other bands and he came after us into the parking lot (even tho we were just sitting there talking and not doing anything) and he said we needed to leave the property immediately and he began filming us just listening to the music!!! Ask him for the video he took of us and you’ll see we weren’t doing anything and he was the one harassing us. He followed us all the way to the public sidewalk and said we weren’t allowed to be on the public sidewalk?? Which I told him was not true and we could stay here. So we had to listen to support the other bands from the sidewalk at midnight even tho it’s super dangerous for two girls to be alone on the street that late this guy didn’t care at all about our safety and was so glad to have an excuse to bully two young girls. This experience was absolutely unacceptable and this needs to be addressed. I will discourage everyone I know from playing or coming here because I cannot believe your staff would allow that type of treatment to not only your customers but people that are there to perform for you!!
