We spent day 4 and 5 of our counterclockwise TMB tour here. With Day 5 as our recovery day. It was the best decision. The hotel has a rustic mountain cabin charm to it. We had a standard double and a deluxe double. The deluxe double had tall ceilings and the second bed was on a raised second floor within the room. We suspect the hotel is owner operated and we were right after meeting the husband, wife and daughter at the front desk. you can feel the personal touch every where on the property. The staff at the restaurant were wonderful!

Our suite was cozy and comfortable. I saw a prior review claiming rooms were dirty. I think that reviewer misunderstood what kind of property they booked. It's a charming, RUSTIC, boutique Alpine B&B. Everything is natural wood. There are a lot of rough-hewn wood beams. That's part of the charm. It's floor-to-ceiling wood and everything was properly dusted & swept. I was really impressed by the attentiveness of the housekeeping staff who came by daily just to check if we needed more towels/robes or anything else. The only thing I would've changed about the suite was the bathrooms. The en suite bathroom on the 2nd floor was difficult to access for adults because you have to crawl in behind a curtain. I bet kids would love it though. The reality is that nothing can be done about this though because it's the roof of the building that prevents the bathroom entry from being any taller. I guess I would rather have a crawl-in bathroom than none upstairs. The bathroom on the bottom floor had a glass window in the door with no curtain which made things a bit awkward for our friend group. We pinched towels at the top of the door to try to maintain some privacy. I think this could be fixed by installing a simple curtain. Property location is PERFECT. It's a quick shuttle with a friendly driver who will drop you at the bottom of the Dolonne cable car for a day of skiing. You can also easily just walk. It's also an enjoyable walk into the center of town for restaurants & shops. The on-site spa is very nice and a great amenity. Make sure you remember to pack your swimsuit because you will not want to miss it! The bar/lounge is super cute & comfortable. We spent hours just hanging out in there. Everything we ate at the restaurant was delicious. I ended up eating dinner there twice because it was so good. Breakfast is a large buffet spread with plenty of variety to satisfy any preferences. Reception staff was very helpful with answering all our questions and helping us figure out how to get places. Oh & the views! Absolutely gorgeous. Some great seating areas are set up outside to take in the beauty of the mountains and just relax. Had a really great time & would love to come back again.

Everything was top notch from the fabulous cocktails to the friendly staff. We stayed here during our TMB hike and this was a much needed rest stop for two days. We took full advantage of the wonderful spa, had some great drinks from their amazing mixologist, and fueled up with their delicious breakfast buffet. An added bonus was the free e-bikes you can borrow to see other nearby towns. I highly recommend Hotel Svizzero!

I am happy to say that the experience I have had here has been amazing. The location is perfect, the amenities are sublime and the attention to detail is out of this world. From someone who makes cocktails for a living I can truly say that Afrim the bartender knows what he is doing and as has been able to make any strange concoction we have thrown at him. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, all the best and till next time.

Beautiful place with great rooms, Bar, good Italian breakfast. And the manager gave us mountain bikes with engine to go up hill. The hotels spa is nice and big. With wet and dry saunas, and an outside jacuzzi.

Unique family owned boutique hotel decorated in traditional Alpine fashion. Rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and attentive to our kids. Perfect place to stay a night or 2 when crossing the alps (that was in the summer of course). It's probably great to spend a week in the winter season and go skiing. We highly recommend Hotel Svizzero!

This is by far the worst hotel I went to. At first when we entered the room there was a dead bug in the bed, the mini bar was completely empty and dirty not even water inside. The hotel owners kept pushing us to eat dinner in there restaurant which cost a lot. After that when we checked out, the lady said I have to pay extra for city tax, water (which they did not say it cost money), and service for the ski passes (which I paid the day before, the service fees and the skipass fees) I told her I paid for the service and for the ski passes yesterday and I showed her, she said wait I will call my dad, when she gave me the phone I wanted to tell him and explain not fight, but the first thing he said “the next time I will not help my guests” “it is my fault that I am helping you and giving you services” he then said I will come now and talk face to face. He came and start yelling at me and he called me crazy many time. He then kept throwing catalogues and papers on my face, and he said bad words. I told him I will only pay for the water that I drank and for the city taxes, I will not pay for something I already paid for. He kept yelling, screaming, saying bad words, and throwing things on my face. He insulted me and he is very RUDE old man. We checked out a day earlier and we never asked them for a refund for the night we didn’t stay in, but he did all that for 6 euros.

The hotel Chalet Swizzero Courmayeur does not meet the declared four stars. The hotel does not have four-star standards! There is no restaurant at all and guests are forced to look for a restaurant in the village, but it is mountains and everything is closed. Arriving at a hotel with the declared four-star standard, the guest is left without food (only breakfast ), a completely empty mini bar, there is not even water, they refused to give the child yogurt at 19.00. at the reception, two daughters and their father, the owner of the hotel, for all requests only: no !! and then everything turned into a loud scream at the guest. I was told that there was no need to book through the booking, and therefore all questions should be asked to the booking because the information on the website does not match the reality of the hotel! the hotel has frozen construction to restore the main structures and this is very dangerous for guests. There is no service to bring suitcases to the room. The rooms have old wooden windows and the bed is not comfortable: pillows, bathrooms are not convenient to use, it is not easy to get to the bath itself. The spa does not work. I attach a photo. To confirm my words. , I read guest reviews on the hotel website earlier and they definitely agree with my horror. Our family trusts booking for many years, so this time we trusted without checking the guest reviews. I asked the hotel owner to call the police because I could not stand the scream of the hotel owner. by booking, he refused to talk only when the police came. We paid for three nights for two rooms and asked for a refund for two nights, but they even refused to give us the invoice indicating the dates that we did not stay, the police helped in this, the police were on our side. Hotel Chalet Swizzero Courmayeur is a hostel level, beware. Bed. You need to bring food and all the service with you and do it yourself, security is not guaranteed, doors can be opened without a key.

AVOID We were very disappointed by the treatment we received at this family run hotel. The owners threw a personal party for their daughter which was extremely loud and lasted until 3am. My 'suite' was directly above the bar area and the mother and daughter screeching 'girls just want to have fun' kept myself and my 5 month old baby up all night. When I went down and told them to turn the music off (at midnight mind you) I was told that I could move room - as in uproot my baby and move the cot and myself somewhere else in the middle of the night. Rather than them just respecting their guests and turning the music off. When we complained about this the next day we were told that it was simply 'bad luck' that we'd booked our holiday to stay on a night when they were throwing a party. Given we'd had the reservation for 3 months there was ample opportunity for them to tell us this ahead of time. Also the suites are right on the road and the trucks go past all night so it's noisy anyway. The 1 star I have given is reserved for the bartender who was wonderful. I wish him well and that he gets out of there and to a hotel worthy of his excellent customer service.

Rooms was really dirty. They get us dirty bathrobe. Small shower and rooms. There is no difference between standard and superior double room. In one room was a hole that you can see and hear people from other room. Dramatic acoustic. It doesn’t matter if doors are open or closed there hear everything. Poor breakfast, dinner quite good. This is no 4* standard hotel but hostel standard. Big plus for bartender he was really helpful and nice.
