Server was wonderful. Had the clam chowder (amazing) & shared the Salmon & chips. She was fine with 2 grilled & 2 Deep fried. Can’t decide which one I loved more. Draft beer at happy hour was $4!. What a gem! Diner style. Too full to try the yummy looking desserts in the cooler. Highly recommend!
THE FOOD WAS SOOOOO GOOD!!!! I got the clam chowder and fish & chips but substituted for tater tots and let me tell you, PERFECT. Clam Chowder was the perfect amount of thick and the clams were soft and not at all rubbery like most other restaurants. The cod was crispy on the outside and perfectly flaky on the inside and the tater tots were just the right amount of crispy. All of the food came with big portions and I left with a good amount in an to-go box. Our server was such a kind woman with quick service and a welcoming attitude. Restaurant and bathroom were pleasantly clean. I live in Humboldt so when I come through Crescent City this will be my go to spot every time.
OK, so 5 stars.. This is a great road-side dinner that has a good selection of standard foods you would expect, plus specials on occasion. I always enjoy the food, the staff is very friendly and a casual atmosphere. This isn't a super fancy place, but a good road-side place for food throughout the day.
My wife and I stopped here for Breakfast after staying at a nearby motel to visit the Redwood Forest and enjoyed it so much we came back again the next day. We are. both good cooks and love good tasting food. The omeletts, hash browns, incredibly fresh avocado’s, biscuits, and gravy were all cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you try this restaurant.
This place was a great place to have food on our drive through US-101. The food was amazing! The cali chicken burger was Huuuggee! The fish chips were also very tasty! They also have a very nice gift shop that's worth browsing through and buying gifts as a memoir
Best fish dinner we’ve had since moving here from Colorado eight years ago. Our server Jamie was very nice and helpful with the menu. The ling cod is good.
A lovely January morning and a delicious breakfast. The vibe in here is chill, and the food is amazing. I had the French Toast Team, and I’m a fan. Thank you for a delicious breakfast!
I had the fish and chips and an oyster shooter. Everything was great and the portions were a good size. The fries were perfectly seasoned. My server was great and made me feel so welcome.
Absolutely wonderful! I order the seafood platter and it was beautifully cooked. The cod came in the form of what looked like commercially made breadsticks, I was prepared to be disappointed but they were absolutely wonderful. Perfectly cooked and the cod was fresh. Definitely five-star meal for me. But my partner had their omelette and hash browns. and unlike 90% of the other diners I go to nobody knows how to properly cook hash browns. Most diners. They come back slightly Brown and almost still cold. They're hash. Browns are absolutely beautiful. And omelet is probably the best my partners ever had. Definitely eat here. You won't be disappointed.
Very good seafood. I had the steamer clams, mixed veg and the cabbage & potato soup. The soup was such a simple an tasty fall soup, I am going to try replicating it at home. The veg was fantastic! The steaming liquid for the clams was so good too!! I also tasted my wife's fried cod perfectly battered and the cod melted in my mouth.
We found this place by accident! My guy wanted breakfast & they serve it until 1pm, so we went there! His breakfast was delicious! I ordered the calamari steak with fries, it was the most delicious calamari I've ever had! We are coming back up the coast to finish our road trip & will definitely be stopping by there again on our way home! 🤗😋
It was quite busy when we got here today for lunch - and we had to wait around 10 minutes or so for a table to be made available. It was so worth the wait. Best clam chowder we’ve all had in the longest time - tasty and filling, the crackers were great too. My husband had fried oysters which he loved. Our new college graduate had the best calamari we’ve all had - perfect breading with the hugest calamari inside. The upgrade to parmesan for the french fries is worth the additional 2 dollars. My sis in law had the shrimp cocktail which she loved and brother in law had the mushrooms which was also perfect. This place offers real comfort food that is unpretentious and just plain delicious. A must-visit if you are in sleepytown Crescent City.
We were so hungry after a full day of hiking and were looking for sea food. We arrived here an hour before closing. They have a gift shop inside also. We got the shrimp w/ chips and fish w/ chips along with house salad. The fries were crispy and golden. I loved it. The prawns and fish were battered nicely and fried well. The salad was made from fresh ingredients. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend for everyone looking for fresh seafood. The shrimp felt like it was caught right after we ordered it - so fresh! Plus they have ample parking around.
This place is amazing! Food is in big portions, tastes amazing and isn't frozen(from what I can tell), and the breading isn't too thick on the food. I got the Chicken Alfredo, and it's amazing. Also, amazing atmosphere- It really gives a fun and sailor vibe. Also, they don't use garlic! For their fish and chips at least, I'm not sure about other items.

We had dinner tonight and it was good. The fish and chips was a very generous portion and the French fries were very tasty but served warm. The salmon was good. The clam chowders we both thought was delicious. The Cole slaw was served in a small portion condiment cup. Don’t know why so small but it needed more dressing. Overall we had a very nice dinner.
Four stars overall, but three for the food. We got the fish and chips and the French dip. Fish: the fish had great flavor. We have no idea if it was caught local. No one disclosed that, but it was good. It was battered and fried. Seasoned appropriately. Crispy and light. Good, not great. Tartar sauce: liked it, tasted pre-made Fries: super crispy and delicious. Seasoned with a Johny’s like seasoning blend French dip: beef was dry and not very fresh. Store bought hoagie roll that was a little stale. The au jus tasted either canned/cartoned, whatever. It was not that great, but provided moisture for the dry beef. Onion rings: super crispy. Onion inside was cooked well. Seasoned adequately. I really really enjoyed these. I believe they batter and fry those fresh, but I cannot confirm. Either way, they were good. Mimosa: really good. All you want it to be. Fantastic.
Good, solid dishes and portions. A little pricey, but still plenty of options under $20. Busy on a Monday night. Had a short wait to get in, but hostess did a great job of helping clean up a table or two and supplied us with menus while we waited. Shrimp (big) was good. Cole saw was tasty. Fries might’ve been too crispy. Enjoyed the made from scratch potato and cheese soup. Serving Ce was attentive and accurate. The gift shop seemed was too pricey ($5 for a restaurant sticker?!?!?) and just kind of off putting. The decor is casual, laid back kitschy with sea themed items.
Delicious food and friendly customer service! I had the aloha burger and my boyfriend had the Philly cheese burger. There were quite a few options that sounded amazing, making it hard to choose, but the pineapple with teriyaki sauce and extra toppings on the burger was delicious and I would come back here for it again. The staff was also very friendly and the booth was comfortable.

The food was very overpriced for what it was, and I got a bad stomachache after. The food was just fine, definitely not worth $65 for two people before tip. Felt like a tourist trap.

Fisherman's Restaurant is located on the road leading to the Crescent City Harbor. There is a gift shop upon entering the restaurant. On the walls, there was an interesting display of art and history. The Denver Omelet was good and was served with a side of hashbrowns. Portions were large. Parking was convenient. The menu seemed pricey, but it might be a California "thing" as we noticed a significant difference in cost from the Midwest.
service was good\nFood was nothing special. In fact for a restaurant with fisherman's in the name, I would've expected seafood to be fresh not frozen.

There were two in our party and we ordered fish with onion rings and a bowl of chili. We asked to try the potato salad and it was sweet. It taste like store-bought potato salad. So we went with the onion rings. The onion rings were also lightly sweet. We don’t care for sweet foods so this didn’t make for A great experience eating onion rings at this restaurant. The fish was good. What was nice about it is that the fish was flaky and not too greasy. The tartar sauce was not good. There was too much dill. The tartar sauce tasted of dill and mayonnaise. It was runny. The coleslaw was old. It wasn’t crisp. It was old The chili tasted like canned chili. Although it was not bad, but for the price, it wasn’t worth the price. There was ample of amounts of onions and cheese, though. We won’t go back again.
Bad food. \nBad fish (especially). \nHigh prices. \nBad "ambience" (unless you drive trucks professionally).

Two "slices" of French toast cost $9.25. it's one piece of bread cut in half... This mixed with I never got a refill on my cup of coffee. No thanks
