Absolutely the best!! Seriously one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to and we travel all over. We were in town for a few days and stopped for dinner after checking out the reviews. Ignore the negative - they’ve been in business 40 years with the same chef! So much love in the food. If you love vegetarian, you must order the Thali - a dish for one with a bit of everything and it’s beyond delicious. It’s more than enough food actually - I shared with my husband. He ordered the butter chicken - also excellent and the rice is the best we’ve had anywhere. Thrilled we chose to eat here and the owners are lovely people as well. So friendly and welcoming. They surprised us with a lovely dessert for our anniversary too!! If we lived here, this would be a regular for us, for sure.
Nice Indian restaurant in Beverly Hills. I loved the decoration, the attention and the food. It’s family owned and operated, so the flavors are fresh and authentic. I ate much more than I should, but the food was so yummy I couldn’t stop 🤣. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, white rice and garlic naan (the best I’ve ever had). I had a rental, which I parked right in front of the restaurant and didn’t have to pay fpr parking, because it was after 7pm. The price is on the mid-high end, but the plates are shareable (at least what I ordered). I’ll be craving their dishes back home!
The BEST Indian food I’ve ever had in my life and I have experienced Indian in the Uk, Dubai, NYC etc etc - the Chef has been there from day 1 + 40 years …incredible. The Tandoori oven delivers the perfect charred meats. Stuffed naan … yes. Ambiance yes. The walls are covered with antiques …irreplaceable !
Fantastic Experience at Bombay Palace! I had an incredible dining experience at Bombay Palace in Beverly Hills! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted. Elegant and comfortable ambiance , the service was bit slow but we were okay with that, we had time. The food was delicious and the variety of vegetarian options was impressive. A special shoutout to Mr. Deep, the owner, who personally came by our table to check on us. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure that we were happy with everything. It's clear that he genuinely cares about his guests and takes pride in offering an exceptional dining experience. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine with impeccable service in Beverly Hills, Bombay Palace is the place to go. Highly recommend!
The food was so so good, the family owning the restaurant were extremely welcoming and inviting. The hostess helped us with our orders and was so nice. Loved the ambiance as well!
First thing you notice is how Good it smells when you walk in 🥰 Kindest and most accommodating owners + staff I’ve had in Los Angeles Incredible samosas, well stocked bar and knowledgable tender Gorgeous setting Don’t sleep on this place, I can’t wait to come back 💕
Their paneer tikkas are to die for. Made from scratch every day. If you love some good old desi paneer, you should definitely pay them a visit. Also try their garlic naans. Their meat is also halal!

Went here as a group of 6 for dinner on weekday evening. They served us well with choices for dairy free, gluten free and vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices for people in our group. The owners themselves came and checked on us and made sure that we are well taken care of. A bit pricey but worth it given the delicious food and ambience.
We had a great evening celebrating our anniversary. Great quality food, nice ambience, excellent service. Friendly and pleasant interaction with the owners, who checked on us multiple times and also surprised us with a small celebration desert ! Parking at the back was easy. Would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a nice evening with great quality Indian food.
One of the great Indian restaurants in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles area. It has been serving tasty Indian tandoori and curries for decades. Fresh and delicious cuisine in a great atmosphere. The decor inside is beautiful and unique.
I rarely make reviews but feel like this place deserves it. Food was some of the best Indian food I’ve had, portions are like any other Indians restaurant you would go to. I saw previous comments about portion sizes not being big but I found them to be normal to other places we have visited. Service was great, our server was great, always making sure that we had everything we needed and were enjoying our meal. Atmosphere was also awesome. They way they have decorated the restaurant is beautiful and with the dim lightning it makes it perfect for a date night. Will definitely ve back!
Coming from the U.K., where exceptional Indian cuisine is never far away, I’m a demanding customer — and as a long-time fan of the legendary Bombay Palace near Marble Arch in London, my expectations were high. I’m delighted to say that Bombay Palace more than delivers. The food is refined, deeply flavourful, and impeccably executed. The Butter Chicken is rich and beautifully balanced, the Lamb Passanda is meltingly tender, and the fruity Kashmiri Pulao rice is a standout accompaniment. And if you have any room left, the Gulab Jamun is absolutely worth every calorie — a perfect finish. To top it all off, Harveen is an exceptional host: always warm, welcoming, and effortlessly attentive, making the experience feel genuinely special. Quite simply, this is the finest Indian restaurant I’ve encountered on the West Coast — a true destination, and a welcome reminder of how good Indian cuisine can be when it’s done properly.
What can I say from the moment you walk in the restaurant it screams class. The food and the service were outstanding. The owner of the restaurant makes sure that all your needs are being met. Flew in from Florida for the week, and this restaurant was highly recommended by the concierge at the SLS hotel and we are glad we listened.

Food was very good, but expensive. Very pretty inside. Entrees didn’t come with rice
Based on Sakshi's review, I will not be bringing my party of 8 to this place. It doesn't surprise me. The palace is Always empty... there's better quality of food and service elsewhere.
I wouldn’t recommend Bombay Palace, and here’s why: 1. Unjustifiable portion sizes – The portions are surprisingly small for the price. I’ve been to upscale places before, but at least there, the serving sizes match the cost. That’s not the case here. 2. Mediocre food – The dishes are average at best. Nothing stood out as unique or worth remembering. It’s the kind of food you can get at any standard Indian restaurant. 3. Unprofessional behavior – The owners came across as extremely rude and dismissive. Basic questions were met with hostility, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. It felt like they had no regard for customer service. The only redeeming quality is the ambience, which is admittedly nice. But if you're looking for a place near Beverly that offers both great food and fair value, India’s Grill is a much better option — generous portions, delicious food, and most importantly respectful service.
Rude management, our server constantly nagged at us to buy more food. Butter Chicken was good, but food was overpriced. Our server was in a hurry to get us out of the restaurant acting like we weren't worthy to spend our dinner at their establishment for Valentines Day. Sure the interior was pretty and nice to look at, but not worthy enough to spend your money at this place. You can definitely get better prices for good food like at Curry Zone.
Worst place I have ever dined at. Food is terrible. Prices are exorbitant. Owner is really arrogant and I can't put into words, how bad the service is. All the dishes tasted like they were made a week ago and just reheated up. If you have a lot of money to waste on a pathetic indian cusine experince, then there is no place better than this. Actually in fact, I recommend going here just to see how not to run a restraunt.
If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. My friends ordered takeout—paneer makhani and garlic naan—for us. That same night, I developed a severe sore throat, and within two days I became so sick that it was difficult to work. I’m not sure what was in the food, but the timing was very concerning. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.
A) The owner is ARROGANT and has some serious issues with “customer service”. A simple example- we asked for onions and he replies - “it is not free”. Not sure why he imagines customers come for free food. B) The menu book is as old as one can imagine- literally falls apart. Maybe same can be reflective of the owners attitude. C) The chef does not know how to cook biryani. You get rice mixed with some curry and they serve it as biryani. can’t imagine how this place has been functioning so long with such poor food quality. D) The only positive - has a great ambiance.

Last week, my friends recommended a restaurant during our visit to LA. Initially, the experience was pleasant - the food was great, and we were all having a good time, including our child. Unfortunately, things took an unpleasant turn. My child got some food in his eyes while eating, which made him cry. We quickly consoled him. Later, he became a bit restless and cried again. In total, he probably cried for only about 5 minutes throughout our entire visit. As I was taking my child outside after finishing my meal, the owner approached me rudely. Despite seeing that I was already heading out, he demanded in an impolite tone, "Control your kid and go out." This unnecessary confrontation was shocking given that I was already addressing the situation. What made matters worse was the owner's wife making racist remarks to our friends. She commented that "if Americans were here, they would not have allowed kids to cry so much" - an offensive and inappropriate statement. While the food quality was good, I cannot recommend this restaurant to families with children. The hostile attitude from the owners created an unwelcoming atmosphere. This is definitely not a family-friendly establishment.
For the past decade, this restaurant has been my go-to spot for gatherings with friends and family. I’ve always recommended it as one of the best places for Indian food in downtown LA. However, after tonight’s experience, I will NEVER return, bring guests, or recommend it again. I brought out-of-town guests here because I had spoken so highly of it. Toward the end of our meal, my friend’s toddler accidentally got some spicy paneer in his eye and started crying. As we worked to calm him, the owner's wife, Harveen, initially came over to console him. When we explained the situation, she appeared understanding. My friend immediately took his son to the bathroom to rinse his eyes, and though the child returned visibly upset, we continued soothing him. Since it was a cold night, we took turns stepping outside with him to calm him down before returning inside. Just as we were about to request the check, my friend was heading out with his son when the owner, Deep, abruptly stopped him and said, "You are disturbing the crowd. Please leave, take him outside, and don't come back." We were stunned. My friend took his child outside, and his wife returned to the table. Outraged by the treatment we had just received, I immediately asked for the check, stating that we were leaving. The owner’s wife then tried to justify their behavior, saying, "He's been crying for a long time; you should stand in the back with him or go outside." But the comment that truly shocked me was when she added, "Americans take their kids outside when they cry." This was not only an offensive assumption about our citizenship but an outright racist remark—especially coming from one Indian to another. I’ve had large family gatherings here before with 20-30 people and while we can be loud, I have NEVER been asked to leave for noise—until now. This is NOT a family-friendly restaurant. If you have children and they cry, you will be TOLD, not asked, to leave. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a restaurant. The owner has not only lost my business but also that of my family. It’s shocking that so many celebrities have dined here, yet it’s clear that appearance matters—if you look like you’re from India, you can expect to be treated poorly and racially profiled. As someone born and raised in the U.S, I find it disgraceful that an establishment like this operates with such bias. They should be ashamed.
Great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the customer service ruined the experience. From the start, the lady pressured us into ordering more food than we actually needed, making snarky comments about what food to get. She made it seem like she cared more about selling the food rather than having a good time. Top it off, the moment we finished eating, the waitress practically rushed us out. We had just paid for our meal, yet we weren't even given a few extra minutes to relax. They should have been smarter with reservations than rush people out of the restaurant. For a place with such nice ambience you would think they cared more about hospitality. Don’t think I will be coming back.
