Opinions de The Phovorite Culver City
service and food was amazing ! definitely coming back again . it's a cute little spot to get some pho on a rainy
I love this place! I order from here all the time and it's always great. They do their Pho Bo Vien a little different than other places. The beef balls are so good though. My only critique is when I order food to go, they dont cool the noodles down enough before putting them in the to-go container so when I get home, they are all stuck together. Still giving 5 stars just cause this is one of my favorite spots in the Westside!
The food here was absolutely fresh and delicious! Alhambra area is usually where I have to go to get my Vietnamese food fix. However, now I know I can come here and be completely satisfied. The Pho is piping hot with fresh ingredients and when you eat it you feel like you are healing. Wonderful! Everything I had I would get again. I want to try more when I go back. I was very pleased. The customer service wasn't amazing, but it wasn't horrible. The food more than made up for any other area that might be lacking. This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant on the West side.
Absolutely fantastic. I ordered a combination pho and the portions were huge. The broth was very flavorful and there was a ton of delicious meat.
I had the pho tai. The food was good and fresh. Friendly staff and great service. I’ve driven past here many times and finally stopped by. Located in a mini mall They have adjacent lot and street parking.
Fantastic restaurant and nice staff who care about the customer. Had the Bun noodles with pork and it was excellent. The dining room is cute and has nice photos on the wall and tasteful decor. We like this spot much more than the Vietnamese place on Overland. Easy parking in lot or on the street.
I ordered their combination pho and stir fry noodles with chicken and both were exquisite. The pho broth was flavorful and tasted like it was prepared fresh. I usually order extra noodles with pho, but I ended up not eating it because the portion size was pretty large. This will be my go-to spot for Vietnamese food from now on!
I only get pho, chicken, filet mignon or the tofu veggie, and spring rolls or the fried ones, to go from here. It has a nice small parking lot, the girls who work here are extreme nice and efficient. The chicken pho is all breast meat. I really like it. Better than Phroage.
Very good Vietnamese food. For the pho, they have great portion size, a regular size is enough. Their noodle salad is killer too. I do wish they made their bank mi sandwiches a little bigger, but it was tasty too.
Ordered: Pho Combination, Bahn MI Charbroiled Pork, and Thai Iced Tea Price: $17.90 + $11.90 + $4.49 Ordered for pickup twice now through their website, same order and it was very easy, with an included timer. If they aren't busy, food was ready under 15 minutes, but when they are, it took about 45 minutes for the pick up. Broth was refreshing, meat was tender, noodles were chewy and plentiful. Thai Tea was also refreshing. Ate the ban mi later in the day, and it was still delicious, with the fun flavors of the smokey sweet pork and the spicy jalapeños. Overall, found my go-to pho place here in the Culver area
Hidden gem in LA. Great customer service even at late night. Good taste! Good spicy level for spicy crispy chicken. Greta taste on pho soup. Price is on a bit high level for the quantity. Total $72 plus tips for 4 dishes. We will visit this place again when we visit LA.
Very good Vietnamese food! Had the combination pho, lemongrass chicken with noodles and vegetable egg rolls. The pho tasted very authentic and the lemongrass chicken was seasoned very well. I liked the egg roll presentation. Will definitely come back if I’m ever in this area again.
I ordered the spicy beef pho bowl. The broth was exceptional. Very flavorful and hit the soul. Not at all too salty either, just the right balance. It had a sweeter taste than spicy to me. Nonetheless it was devoured all the same and was very satisfied. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pho.
My go-to place for great Vietnamese fusion food. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Nice design and ambiance inside. They have the usual pho, banh mi and spring rolls. Nice peanut sauce. Great food overall. Shares their parking lot with 4 other establishments.
Pho and Bahn mi was really tasty, small place but ample seating, small parking lot but I easily found a parking, staff is nice. I will come back again.
I went there because the pho place I usually go to was closed. I had the fillet mignon (well done) Pho, and it was very tasty. It only comes in a Large portion. The broth was flavorful, and it hit the spot. The service was good and fast even though it was busy. The restaurant is located at a strip mall so it’s good for a casual dine in, nothing fancy.
I really enjoyed the food here! I got rare steak and beef ball pho and also shrimp fresh rolls pictured. The food came out super quick and was very fresh. Service was quick and efficient as well! This was surprisingly good for being in west LA (the main pho place i go to is in van nuys, pho so 1) and food was comparable, just less portions and pricier, but understandable. (Sorry this is my only pic, stomach ate first) To the person who said the broth was very bland and tasted like warm soapy water: I feel like you had covid so everything was tasteless and also have the gene that gives you an aversion to cilantro (it makes cilantro taste like soap). The broth was delicious and was not close to bland. 🤷🏻♀️
Amazing Pho! The restaurant is cute and unassuming. Do take the time to go check it out! I ordered a lemongrass and mushroom pho in a coconut milk broth and LOVED it! I went at the recommendation of a coworker and am so glad I followed their advice.

This place rules. Food is delicious, service is quick, prices are low to average for Culver City in 2025. Love coming here on my lunch breaks. What more could you ask for?
Delicious flavor and great portions. Had the Pho and broth was so good. Parking can be tricky but plenty of street parking on Clarinton next to the shopping mall.

Me and my boyfriend first tried this restaurant a couple months ago and I really enjoyed it. I had a steak salad which was very fresh and flavorful and my bf ordered mango shrimp salad and Thai pho. The latter he didn't enjoy very much, because he found it to be salty. He knows his pho, because he is Vietnamese. Mango salad was amazing and I got to have a little bit of it as well. We came back here last Saturday while in the neighborhood to have the same salad and try something new. Boyfriend had the seafood soup which was pretty tasty, but a little too sour in my opinion. The mango salad kind of shrunk in size compared to the first time we had it here. Not a good sign. Service was also not friendly this time. Granted they were busy on Sat night and were also handling lots of orders to go. I would still recommend this place, but with a less enthusiasm compared to the first experience we had.
Ordered the vegetable pho — portions are generous and prices are reasonable, but the broth itself was a bit bland and the vegetables a little undercooked. Overall they had a lot of options on the menu — the meat phos seem to be more popular.
I wasn’t planning on stopping by, but I’m so glad I did. I ordered the combination pho which had all types of meat and comes in a large bowl. Usually I can finish my Pho but today the serving was too big for me lol. I also got an ice coffee which was just right to top my day off. Overall I recommend this place if you’re near by :)
Reason for visiting: dinner with co worker Date/time of visit: Tuesday night, ~7:00 PM Parking: free; shared with adjacent businesses. Can be hard to find parking in the lot; there's street parking if the lot is full Party size: 2 Environment/ambience: small, cozy restaurant. One TV (no sound) with cooking/food type of things on. There is outside seating, 2 tables. Vietnamese restaurant but not Vietnamese owner, FYI Service: was good. Came around often. Spoke English so makes things easier. We ordered egg rolls and calamari (initially Phovorite wings but changed our mind) but they accidentally made the wings so we cancelled the calamari Food: was good. I had the Charbroiled Pork chop and a Thai tea, which was pretty good. 3 pieces of pork chop. Thai tea was good too (no boba). Cost: I didn't pay 🤭but it was ~$80 for 2. Kinda expensive for Pho but the food was good.
7.9/10. I got the chicken pho and eggrolls and it came with chicken broth while a lot of places use beef broth with their chicken. The eggrolls had subtle really great flavor The broth had good flavor but I think the noodles were slightly overcooked I would've like to have had more onions and scallions and such. The portions were really good size. Overall pretty good especially compared to the more expensive options in the city. I would definitely recommend stopping by
We tried the vegetarian banh mi and vegetarian Vietnamese burrito. It was tasty but the banh mi was probably the smallest one I’ve ever seen next to the ones served at Disneyland. The burrito dipping sauce is tasty but NOT vegetarian. It looks like the base for the pho is also beef based. Parking is street or in the lot that is small.
This place will do the trick on a cold rainy day. It’s pretty good and would be even better if a little dazzle was added to the vegan broth. * I’m not vegan but constantly indulge in vegan broths. Lol Service was average, location - not a lot of parking and price was great.
We picked up a banh mi and it was just okay. Overall it tasted fine, the sriracha mayo was good. The bread was undercooked and too pale and my first two bites of the pork were just chewy fat. Once I got rid of those pieces, the pork was okay but I had to take a bunch out.
Some of the tastiest beef pho broth on the west side! Service isn't the best but it was kinda late (845pm on a Tues, tho they close at 10) Pork dumplings were good but be aware: 1. They are fairly crispy deep fried (doesn't say this on menu; i would have preferred steamed!) 2. They may take a lil bit (~10min) to come out Oh, and they dont take AmEx 🥺 sucks since that is my preferred card... They have a parking lot but it is not large / is shared with rest of strip mall

Came by for 2 bowls of pho (combination and rare steak/beef balls) for lunch and neither was good. You'll be impressed by the size of the soup bowl, but quickly realize that the soup is watered down and lacking in flavor. For $15, the rare steak was lean and tough (once it cooked) and there was only 2 beef balls (cut in half to look like 4 pieces). Maybe it's a one-off but I won't be coming back to verify.
The place must be new. The build your own bowls that my friends and husband had were actually pretty good, but my kids and I had the chicken pho which wasn’t really pho at all. The broth is definitely not bone broth and I’d be surprised if they put even half the spices required to produce the desired aroma of a good pho broth. The presentation was so sad and they put all the chicken on the bottom of the bowl which was very strange. When they brought it out I had to ask if there was any chicken.
We ordered a couple of Vietnamese items from here and they were not great. The noodle dishes we ordered previously were better (the Pad Thai and the udon noodles) They use fresh ingredients but the few major drawbacks. The peanut dipping sauce for the fresh rolls is too thick. The charbroiled pork salad noodles has thin sliced slabs of pork but it is still full of bones and difficult to eat.
Been a few times and ordered soups. Consistently saw little flies in broth on different occasions. Thought it was a one time thing. Then it happened again. Then again! Third time was the charm. Now I’m questioning kitchen cleanliness… I’m looking for a new pho spot…
Firstly, the owner was incredibly rude to another customer while I was there. She was picking up her online order and stood waiting for several minutes for someone to come up to the counter and speak to her, and when the owner finally did he had a very rude attitude with her and they got into quite a heated argument. It isn't a good look for him nor is it enjoyable to dine while overhearing a huge argument started by the owner over something mundane. Onto the pho itself, the broth was incredibly bland and disappointing. The broth had so little flavor that it almost tasted like warm soapy dishwater. The meat was sliced semi thin and seemed to be good quality, and the noodles did their job well, but pho truly lives or dies by its broth. This one certainly died by it. There are far better places for pho in SoCal than this: go elsewhere.
They got my order wrong. Chicken Pho (which I did not order) was tasteless and gets. 1 out of 5. The chicken was boiled shredded chicken breast that had an old taste to it. Broth was tasteless. Spicy Seafood soup gets a 4 out of 5. It was the part of the order that was correct. It was tasty. Don’t plan to go back.
I got chicken pho for takeout today and it was pretty watered down. I've eaten at a couple pho places and this was the worst. The broth tasted like one of the prepackaged soups (ramen noodle soup, maruchan). I dont know why people rave about this place but this is the least "phovorite" for me. Also -1 star for hospitality not even a greeting when we walked in.
I ordered online. They said it would be ready in 14 minutes. The food wasn’t ready for over an hour. Horrible service. Food was subpar. Do not go here!
NOPE! Do not recommend at all. It’s not authentic Vietnamese cuisine and I believe the cooks are Hispanic. I don’t think any of the ingredients here are fresh. Food tasted old/stale, smelled extra fishy (too much fish sauce), noodle were soggy. The restroom had a RAID spray bottle…I’m concerned after leaving this place. We had the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Vermicelli. The only thing that I was able to consume was the Thai Tea. All the negative aside, the young man at the counter was very friendly.
The specialty Pho Combination, which was supposed to have all the meats, had 1 piece of brisket and 1 beef ball. The blue crab fried rice had barely a sliver of crab. I don't know if it was the end of the week leftover I received, (sunday night order) or if this is their regular quality of food. Overall it was extremely disappointing.
DONT GO HERE I’m down 30$ and still hungry. I ordered a rare steak large pho with extra rare stake and was served a large bowl with barely any meat or noodles in it. I asked the server if the pho had extra meat because I was in shocked. He confirmed with the kitchen that they added extra. I ended up taking the 3$ extra charge out of the tip. (hehe) My girlfriend ordered the crunchy tofu Banh Mi. Huge disappointment too. She’s a small girl and usually never finishes her food but this time she did. And was still hungry! She also complained about the quality and size of the banh mi and said it was mediocre. In conclusion, very disappointing. There are so many better Vietnamese places to eat and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I went to eat at that restaurant and felt discriminated against because I'm Latina. The waitress had a very bad attitude, she took a long time to serve us, she didn't bring me the correct food order, and she didn't I come to my table to see if everything was okay. The only time she approached me was to ask if I wanted takeout boxes, even though I was still eating. When the bill arrived, she had added a 15% tip. That had never happened to me before. It's not the first time I've been to that place. The food is very good, but the service is terrible.
