Wait staff prompt and friendly. Indoor/outdoor atmosphere great. The food was ok with plenty of potential in comparison to many Texas BBQ restaurants. Sandwich with fries. The bun was brioche but, just out of the bag. Recommend buttered and/or toasted. Meat was good; asked for lean and got lean. Fries were good but in house made would put you over the top. BBQ sauce was a perfect balance of sweet, tangy and spicy. Wife got baked potato with chopped beef and was very pleased.

Tried Papa Charlies last night. Good food fun indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but we did eventually get our food and ticket. I would recommend.

The place seems cool from the outside, but I didn't eat here. I just drove here for a scheduled meeting that must have been cancelled or wrong address, The gps is wonky for the past 3 months. But it seems like a nice place. I heard a band playing music. So I sat in my car listening to try and relax, the place isn't close to my home. People looked happy after leaving here. Must be good

With as many times as we’ve eaten here, I thought I would’ve wrote at least one review. The first time we ate here we had a muffaletta and another Cajun item and it was to die for. The rating that visit was five stars. Subsequently, we’ve had their salads and burgers and other foods like barbecue plates, and it’s been delicious as well. The service is sometimes hit or miss. The beers available on draft do vary. There’s a great outdoor eating area and perfect for kids to play around. The parking is a little sketch – – if you’re coming in on a motorcycle be warned it’s all gravel. Overall, a place we keep on going back to try different food items. It’s just a little bit of a drive for us.

This isn't my first time here, but after today it'll be my last. I'm trying to figure out how I got dry not fresh brisket. Forget being flavorless the sauce would've helped with that...but dry dawg!!! Thick cut and dry mixed in with acceptable pieces. This is 1 1/2 lbs, not cheap. What's crazy is the rack of ribs were on point! 10 outta 10 for the ribs. The fact that this was given the ok to leave the kitchen and given to me is a slap in the face.

I just left this establishment, and this of course was my first time eating here. I was hesitant to try the BBQ only because I didn't smell any smoke from wood in the air, or the atmosphere once I stepped out of the vehicle, or entering the building. I was waited on by a young white guy, but I can't remember his name, but... he was very good at being helpful with what was in the menu, and he was attentive at helping with drinks, and asking how our experience was so far. To start off I purchased the 2 meat BBQ plate. I ordered the brisket, pork ribs, Mac and cheese, and greens. *Let me say... whoever is making the greens in the back needs a raise!!! Those greens are top notch! Best greens I have had in a loooong time. I rate them at 5 out of 5 * Now let's talk about the brisket... It was cut very thin first off, and it didn't have any smokey taste. I am a lover of bark, so I can say what ever season that they are using was decent, but remember as you can see in the picture the cuts are really thin, so you only get that taste for a brief couple of seconds. The brisket wasn't moist, the actual meat was dry, but the fat was rendered down, so there was some decent taste, and mouth feel there if you are into fat on brisket. I am a lover of fat on brisket myself. I give the brisket a 1 out 5. I am a big lover of ribs. I score a BBQ restaurant on if your ribs are good or not, and if your ribs are not good then it's a no-go for me. I love just simple ribs with only rub on it, and no sauce on the top. I believe sauce should be a compliment placed on the side as a condiment, and not have to be put on ribs if you are producing a good product. With that being said... The ribs were not good at all. I couldn't taste too much seasoning on the rib, and I think it had a slight glaze on them. I only bit one piece. I give it a 1 out of 5 * The Mac and cheese looked to have potential, because it looked creamy, so I was rooting for it, but once I took a bite... It was lacking any seasoning, bland. All I'm looking for is a little salt, garlic, or paprika🤷 something. I did order the okra, because I saw someone else's review, and she said the okra was good. I am a huge lover of okra and i can say it was crispy and seasoned really well. I give it A 5 out of 5. I also ordered the onion rings from the advice of the waiter, because he said it was his favorite appetizer, and I can say he was right it was pretty good. My brother-in-law ordered the Brisket Mac and cheese, and you already know what I said about the Mac and cheese above, so I don't have to say it again. He gave it a 1.2 out of 5, because he had some bark pieces mixed inside. Over all I gave this restaurant a score of 2 out of 5 because the greens were amazing, the atmosphere was busy, but nice looking, and the waiter was very nice, and helpful. The BBQ just didn't do it for me. I always give a restaurant two tries, because it could just have been a bad day. I will wait for a detailed response from the owner on how they may make changes or if they won't, and just give a generic response like (Sorry for your experience, and sorry we couldn't meet your expectations. I hope we can do better next time, and we look forward to accommodating you when you come back to visit us). I will be waiting!! *Wait I almost forgot the soda(Dr pepper) I had was very good, and they give you plenty of soda in a huge red cup👍. Which I liked a lot.

My salad wasn't good. The chicken was super dry. The macaroni wasn't cheesy. The mashed potatoes are from a box. The up charge wagyu sausage was dry and not good. We told our server about the chicken and be said others have complained about it. We didn't get it taken off our check. My daughter did love her chicken fried ribs and fries.

This place is not what it was just a year ago. Also does not look like it is going to recover. Something changed with management these past years. Got sick from a recent visit, not just me but people I ate it with. $60 total in food, I even tipped while picking it up. I reached out to let them know and find more information. The reviews did not match the experience. We wanted to know if this was a one-off or consistent. I asked them if they used expired meat, reheated meat for the previous day, used old grease, etc. I cook bbq as well so I know what to look for. They said they would look into it, I never heard back. I reached out again asking for a follow-up never heard back again. The service I received in response to my visit with subpar as well. We essentially had to throw away the half we couldn't eat. No form of compensation, which I guess is fine if they are struggling, although we couldn't eat the other half and got sick, but whatever. They said they would look into it and we never heard back. We even reached back out multiple times. I will also like to say that we were kind on the initial reach out as well as the follow up. It was only a few sentences. Shows lack of care, but the primary concern is health.

I was here with my elderly parents, one of which has dementia and can hardly function. Some people came in, hassled us and asked if we were armed (why were they asking?) Then the governor showed up and completely ruined our afternoon. I don't care if the governor wants tk lie to the people. I dont care if he has to pander to the lowest denominator, but I do care that my mother has a good time considering she likely wont remember it tomorrow. He took that from us. He doesnt care what the people want because we were (unfortunately) there and there was no support. Whatever you see online has fake cheers, it was dead quiet. I hate to rate this place so low bc the food was phenomenal! The the abrupt presence of an unwanted politician ruined our first, and likely only experience there. I bet the owner wont even acknowledged this thorough review, which, in my opinion, should sway where you decided to spend your time and money

My first time eating there and it was terrible. The brisket sandwich half of the sandwich was fat. I had to take half the fat off and I was left with nothing!!!! I should've called and got my money back, but who feels like driving back in Houston ... It's ridiculous and the macaroni was cheesy soupy. I'm so disappointed!!!!
