"Worth the Wait: Good Vibes and Amazing Plates" 02-01-2026 Local Table is a chic, hip, and cool spot that serves a variety of delicious dishes with great customer service. It's kind of the perfect mix of fancy and casual, depending on your mood, you can come in dressed up or keep it comfy and still fit right in. I've visited several times and my experiences are always pleasant, but this was my first time coming on a Sunday afternoon. I came with my husband, my daughter, and her male friend, and whew... the place was ridiculously packed. When I checked in, the host told us the wait would be about 30-45 minutes. We were fine with that, and we ended up getting seated right at the 30-minute mark, which honestly isn't bad at all for a Sunday crowd. Customer service was great as always. I can't remember our server's name, but he was friendly and welcoming. He fell a little short on attentiveness at times, but overall we still had a great time. What really surprised me was how clean and well-kept the restaurant was, even with how packed it was. So, shout-out to the team for staying on top of things and keeping everything organized. Now let's talk ambiance; the vibe was lively, upbeat, and full of energy. From the moment we walked in, there was laughter, nonstop chatter, and servers moving quickly, just good vibes all around. It feels neighborhood-friendly and warm like a local hangout, but it still gives upscale and chic vibes too. The food is always amazing: full of flavor and served piping hot. The only complaint came from my daughter with the beef on her kabob plate. It wasn't well done and was still pink inside when she cut into it. She didn't send it back; she just took it home and popped it in the oven for a few minutes to finish cooking it. She loved it and said that it was very flavorsome and mouth-watering and that the vegetables and rice tasted astoundingly delectable. Honestly, I do think servers should ask customers how they want their beef cooked, because not everyone likes medium-rare meat. Some people (like my daughter) prefer it well done. Overall, Local Table is the spot for a Sunday afternoon if you're looking for high energy, a vibrant atmosphere, and delicious food. They also have healthy, vegan-friendly options, which I love. I highly recommend it. Just a heads-up: parking can be limited in the front, but there's plenty of parking behind the building. This restaurant instantly became one of my favorites. No matter what time of day you visit, the food is consistently delicious and satisfying. I already enjoy Hungry’s, so trying this place felt like a must, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, which makes the experience even better. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I would gladly return again and again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.

We went to Local Table last night for the first time and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The drinks, the food, and the overall vibe were all on point. We had the goat cheese, crab cakes, gyro plate, and lemon pasta—every single dish was incredible. Our server, Aaron, was amazing and all of his recommendations were spot on. To top it off, since it was our first visit, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert: a croissant with a bourbon sauce that was truly to die for. This place instantly became a favorite, and we can’t wait to come back!
This place can get very busy so, reservation is suggested for larger parties. Food comes out hot and fresh and plenty of waiting staff so service is quick.
Went for brunch today to celebrate a birthday. They were able to accommodate us right away for a group of 8. Everyone was very nice. Our server Kohlton was awesome! He was so so friendly and fun! Both the manager Michael and assistant manager Troy were very nice as well. The food and drinks were all soooo good! Will definitely be going back!

First time ever going to Local Table and I was blessed to have Ivanna as our server. It was my cousins birthday and I’m thankful I took him here. Ivanna was very patient with us since we did not know anything on the menu and she was able to give thorough description on every item. Food came out relatively fast, and she surprised my cousin with their yummy dessert. 10/10 service and experience.
This place delivers an outstanding dining experience at any time of day. Whether you stop by in the morning or later in the evening, the food is consistently flavorful and satisfying. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Ingredients taste fresh and well prepared, which really shows in every dish. It does get crowded during busy hours, so arriving a little earlier makes the experience even smoother.
Our first visit to Local Table on Fry Road was amazing! The moment we walked in the door we were welcomed by the friendly staff at the front desk. Once seated, we were immediately greeted by our server Leo, who once he learned this was our first time visiting the restaurant, did a fabulous job of recommending both brunch and lunch options. The food was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised to have one of the managers Michael stop by our table to say he heard that this was our first visit, he thanked us for coming in. We also appreciated a second manager, Steve stopping by to say hello. The whole experience was great because they made us feel like regulars, as if we had been there many times. We will definitely be visiting again. We highly recommend this restaurant if you want a great atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food!

I had a great experience at Local Table. The salmon plate I ordered was absolutely amazing and truly exceeded my expectations. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The cocktails were also very well made and thoughtfully balanced. To top it all off, the croissant bread pudding was an excellent dessert and the perfect ending to the meal. Highly recommend this place for both food and drinks!
I brought my cousins to try Local Table since I enjoyed the first time I went with a friend. The atmosphere was very friendly and our server, Andrew, was very attentive and nice. We ordered the Local Burger, the Club sandwich, and chicken chipotle wrap as meals. We also tried the bread pudding and molten lava cake. The food was delicious. We really recommend the burger and the bread pudding. Andrew would update us about the wait time for the food and would make sure everything was going good with our brunch. 5/5 ⭐️
First time at Local, and Luz was absolutely amazing. I took the time to catch up with an old friend, and Luz never rushed us. When we asked for recommendations, every single one was perfect from the goat cheese appetizer to the salmon entrée. She even surprised us with a fun little dessert and gave great alcohol recommendations as well. Beyond the food, it was her temperament that truly stood out. Her patience, calmness, and genuine care made us feel completely at home. The entire dining experience felt thoughtful, relaxed, and memorable. Thank you again, Luz, for such wonderful service.

Wonderful experience! Our server Jud was fantastic! attentive, friendly and quick service! He even honored that kids ate free, (saturdays-sundays) even though we were not aware and you’re responsible to tell the server in order to get the promotion. We will be back for sure!
We found this place through a quick Google search because we were hungry—and wow, what a pleasant surprise! The drinks were phenomenal, the food was incredible, and the portion sizes were more than generous. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server, Nevin, went above and beyond. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. If you visit, definitely ask for Nevin—he’s fantastic! Overall, we were very happy with our experience and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
Literally one of the best meals I have had in a long time! We had the Cast Iron Baked Goat Cheese, The Bianca Pizza, The Honey Roasted Brussel Sprout Salad, and they surprised us with The Croissant Bread Pudding. There are no words for how good this meal was. Everything came out pipping hot, the flavors off the charts, the service outstanding. I cannot wait to go back again. Local Table on Fry Road is such a gem in Houston. The atmosphere is modern, welcoming, and perfect whether you’re grabbing brunch, dinner, or just drinks with friends. The menu has something for everyone, fresh, flavorful, and with plenty of healthy options that don’t compromise on taste. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the service has always been consistent. I especially appreciate that it feels like a true neighborhood spot where you can relax and enjoy a quality meal. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.
Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was pretty busy although we were to get a table immediately. The food was freshly prepared, delicious and and friendly service from Adrian. Very inviting atmosphere. A large indoor bar and lots of outdoor seating. The parking directly in front of the restaurant will be difficult as it’s basically I think only like six spots, but there’s a parking lot behind both directly and across the other retail stores, but I can imagine that this place can get very busy . When we went there on Saturday between 10 AM to 12 PM they did have a kids menu that kids could be free which also included a juice and also a cookie. Would recommend this place so we’ll probably come back a nice restaurant with fresh flavors. Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. Would recommend. Still looking for the 5 Star. 5 Stars: Top of their game. Great food. Great service. Would recommend and plan on returning.

Our second time to celebrate my day. I had the cucumber tini as my drink. I had the grilled chicken with curry type sauce and hubby had fajita salad. Great times as always!
Decent food, friendly staff, good looking space. I felt the price is probably a bit higher for what the quality and portion of food is. Overall it was a good experience here. I’d give a 3.5/5 rating. Plenty of parking space available. Definitely worth checking the place out though.

This is a great place to go when you want to make sure everyone in your group can find something they like to eat. They have a big menu with lots of categories, like featured entrées, sandwiches and wraps, pizzas, salads, vegetarian dishes, etc. I thought the food was good, but not amazing. The service was great and we got our food quickly! It’s very crowded inside though when they’re busy because all of the tables are really close together. A solid choice but can’t give 5 stars.
It was our third time here because it is a nearby restaurant. We had a cheeseburger and gyro platter. The food quality is very consistent. I would not give 100% to the food, but it is acceptable. This time, I ordered homemade cheaps instead of my fries. It was good, but unfortunately, I think it was made in a place that used to make fish.

Local Table — Disorganized Service and Forgettable Desserts Local Table is a neighborhood restaurant, and based on my recent visit, I’d describe the overall experience as average at best. I stopped in specifically for dessert — one of those days when the family simply wanted to binge on something sweet. The plan was simple: walk up and pick up a spread of their dessert offerings. Unfortunately, even placing the order turned into more effort than it should have been. I had to speak to three different people before anyone actually took my order. None of them seemed to know what desserts were on the menu, and surprisingly, no one offered me a menu or could find one that listed the dessert options. That initial confusion set the tone. As for the desserts themselves, they ranged from average to poor. Nothing stood out in a positive way, and several items were frankly underwhelming. The pudding is one I would actively recommend skipping. The lava cake, while a popular dessert in general, could really benefit from more care in preparation — better texture, better balance, and more attention overall. Even the cakes felt uninspired. For a neighborhood restaurant, I expected something more consistent. In this case, a local grocery store honestly offers better dessert options. If you’re craving something sweet, I’d avoid stopping here and look elsewhere.
