My siblings and I came in a for a warm bowl of pho and that's what we got. Every bite was delicious. The spicy level was wonderful had my brother wanting more. 100% would come again.
I had an amazing experience at Mr. Pho. The pho was honestly the highlight of the meal the broth was rich, clear, and full of deep beef flavor without being too greasy or overly salty. You can really taste how much time and care goes into making it. The noodles were soft but not mushy, and the beef was tender and fresh, especially when it soaked up the hot broth. What I loved most was how balanced everything was. The herbs were fresh and aromatic, and once you add a little lime, basil, and chili, the flavors come together perfectly. It felt warm, comforting, and very authentic, exactly what good pho should be. The portions were generous, the food came out hot and fast, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. I will definitely come back whenever I’m craving a good bowl of pho, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who truly enjoys Vietnamese food.
*UPDATE* I visited again and ate inside the restaurant. I ordered the Pho again this time specifically requesting beef broth. It did not disappoint. And the eggrolls were also delicious. The food arrived quickly and service was great. I ordered pho to go. The menu stated that all pho is served with beef broth. Other Vietnamese restaurants serve chicken pho with beef broth and I expected the same, especially considering it stated such on their menu. Container on right is the bland broth I received. On the left was beef broth that my coworker received. My broth was bland and flavorless. And the noodles were a big rubbery mass that, when added to the broth, never broke apart into noodles.
My wife and I had stopped by a few times before the pandemic and then had stopped ordering out for a while, we started coming back the other week and forgot how good the food was! It's a nice sized restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The owners are nice and friendly. The special fried rice is delicious and you can also order it with just Chinese sausage if you want, and we love that it already comes with a fried egg! We definitely plan on coming back more especially during the evening happy hour! Thank you for the great food! Sometimes the service might be a little slow but when you realize a lot of people are ordering to go or pick-up that shows that there is quite a demand and they are keeping up as fast and as best as they can!
Normally we buy food to-go. Today we decided to dine in. The pho is decent enough. The pork seafood noodle (or Phnom Penh noodle) is my favorite! We got the dry version today. The soup came with it was so good. I would definitely come back to try the soup style! Egg coffee is delicious and so is the milk tea frappe (not pictured - was busy enjoying everything so I forgot!)
There were many customers because it was lunchtime. The staff looked very busy because there was only one employee in the hall. The food came out quickly after ordering. It was nice to take care of the child's bowl and fork without talking about it separately. All the food was delicious.
We came to Mr. Pho for lunch and ordered the regular pho, shrimp pho, spring rolls with grilled chicken and grilled pork, and a grilled chicken plate. The pho was solid overall, though the broth could benefit from deeper, more developed flavor. The spring rolls were well executed, with a pleasant grilled note coming through, and both the peanut sauce and fish sauce were flavorful and complemented the rolls nicely. The grilled chicken plate was also good, carrying the same clean, smoky grilled flavor. Overall, a solid spot with consistent execution.
The food is really good , the staff are not very friendly or welcoming but I guess the food makes up for it. Update , I went back here 6/25/25. When I walked in I let the host know I was going to the restroom first. I waited for the person to come out of the restroom, when she came out she had on gloves & an apron. I went to ask the host if the lady worked in the kitchen because she had on gloves & she said “ she will change them” I think it’s very unsanitary so I left. Be careful!
My wife really loves the food here. She always gets the vermicelli with chicken and I either opt for the house special fried rice or the Korean bbq ribs. Service can be a bit slow (especially if they are focused on to-go orders) and this last time they forgot my meal but were quick to remedy it and apologize. If you like pho then you’ll enjoy this place.
Their Pho was extremely good, I had the Pho combination. The one thing that made my experience horrible is their service really sucks. Only 2 couple and one family of 4 including us and had to call to get service every time I needed a refill or something. The girls where sitting down behind the register talking and on their phones and the counter is so high they can’t see the customers, they never ask anyone how they was doing or if they needed anything. Pho and more which is also in cypress has excellent pho and their service is outstanding. Been going there for years and not once had I have to ask for a refill on my tea. With the quality of food Mr. Pho has this place can easily be a fantastic place to dine, but their service needs ALLOT of work.
My experience here was OK. I have visited several pho places in the Cypress area and they are all a bit different when ordering the "same order". My small pho bowl was mainly broth and lots of onion, small pieces of brisket with tons of fat bits on it, was gross for my taste. The environment is a bit dry- as in customer service, chill not too noisy. Can't say about other items on the menu but the pictures others have upload look tasty. Viet coffee was for a coworker, she said it was strong 👍🏼. Most likely won't be back, as pho is my thing and I wasn't satisfied.
I ordered food online about 6:25, it said it would be Ready at 6:45, I showed up at 7:00 and it was not ready. They said they had to pack it. It took an additional 15 minutes for them to "pack". When the lady came to the front she didn't have my smoothie that I had ordered so she had to go back and get that. The truth it seems was that they hadn't prepared the food. It wasn't overly busy or anything like that, and I had already received the confirmation as soon as I ordered that they received the order and that's how I knew what time it was supposed to be ready. This of course made me late to pick up the other food I had ordered down the road. Pertaining to the food, my family enjoyed the pho, I thought it tasted good, as well. I had also got a smoothie, as they called it, but when I received it quickly realized it was not a smoothie, but more like a boba. Very chalky tasting, and didn't look anything like the picture. And also had one black crunchy chunk in there, not sure if it was a seed of sorts or something that was accidentally dropped in or had broken in the machine. I didn't end up drinking it, but my kid liked it, after I sifted through to make sure there were no other random chunks in there. I really wanted to try this place, as did my husband, and had really high hopes, but I am a person who values their time, and seeing as I even showed up 15 minutes later than when my food was supposed to be ready, it just seemed crazy that it was 30 minutes past the due time before I could even get my food. And that the only explanation was that they had to pack it. I may consider trying this place another time to see if it's better, but probably not anytime soon.
The restaurants that cook in this area of cypress and under Mud 110 water district. It they use the tap water noodles and rice will taste horrible. I tasted the tea and pho noodles at Mr pho and could tell directly that use direct tap water. Mr Pho turned this into a American dish pretty much. Its definitely no authentic pho. Pho takes a very long time to cook. This is like fast food pho
My son could have chosen any restaurant for his birthday and he chose Mr.Pho. We had never been here before so we didn’t know what to expect. The only good thing is that they could accommodate a large group. The food was mediocre at best and we did not get all appetizers ordered. The hoisen sauce smelled fermented and looked and tasted old. Soy sauce had to be requested. Whe it was time for the bill, we were charged .50 cents per to-go container. We will not be back and we do not recommend this place. Especially with pho places on every corner…
I’ve ordered to go vermicelli, fried rice, and bbq from Mr pho. I’m done! Dehydrated old food is not acceptable! The rice was microwaved till the container melted. The vermicelli looked grey. The meat dry. The pho’s container was microwaved till the lid’s plastic separated. Terrible.
We visited on 12/27/25 around 4:30–5:30 P.M. At first, the experience was great. Service was fast, our food came out quickly, and the young man who helped us was very kind. The woman working the register, who also took orders, checked on customers while they were eating (including us), and handled payments, was pleasant up until it was time for us to pay. We were using the remaining funds on a gift card my husband received for his christmas bonus and planned to apply what was left on the card, pay the remainder in cash, and tip in cash as well. When we asked how to split the payment, the same woman (working register and tending to customers) became rude and unhelpful. Instead of explaining our options, she repeatedly insisted we select a tip on the screen, even after we explained that we planned to tip in cash. I understand that option does need to be selected whether you choose to tip or not, but she was trying to charge us the full amount on the card without listening to what we were saying. We selected “no tip” on the card with the intention of tipping in cash once the payment was completed. Her attitude immediately changed for the worse after seeing us choose not to tip with our card. Instead she assumed we weren’t tipping at all, despite knowing what we were trying to do. I’m always happy to tip for good service, but not for attitude. Because of this experience, we won’t be returning.
I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this place honestly deserved it. My friend and I came to Mr. Pho for the first time and told the server we’d never had pho before. Instead of helping us or letting us look at the menu, she rushed us twice and acted like we were annoying her. It was the most unwelcoming first impression ever. Then the food came… and wow. The pho had literally no flavor, the fried rice tasted like absolutely nothing, and for some reason everything is priced like it’s supposed to be amazing. It’s overpriced for food that isn’t even halfway decent. And here’s the part that really bothered me: the staff was wearing dirty clothes. It honestly made me question the hygiene of the whole place. We barely touched our food, and they noticed — and instead of asking if something was wrong, they straight up ignored us the rest of the time. No refills, no check-in, nothing. Just avoided us. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Between the rude service, bland food, lack of cleanliness, and the ridiculous prices, I will never be coming back. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.
