Employees are the furthest from nice and the donut holes taste like they forgot the glaze.

Cold stale donuts, they felt like theyd been sitting out all day. She wouldnt offer a refund or make a fresh batch but she offered me her microwave....seriously? I also enjoyed how she played deaf on the phone then left it off the hook after. Seems like Shipleys has gone down hill.

Worst staff ever! Short hispanic lady is absolutely the worst to deal with. Always has an attitude and act as if your’re bothering her. She might want to find a job she enjoys doing.

Finally posting about my experience as its been too many with this store. Anytime I go service is always bad. But whatever they're busy and tired, I get it. This morning I go at 5:30 hoping to get 2 dozen kolaches and a dozen donuts. Online and on their door hours show they open at 4:30, when I arrive NOTHING is ready. Not a single donut is on display and when I order regular kolaches, their most popular item, they said it'll be another 10 minutes. Another gentleman was waiting as well, he was there before and mentioned to me he had been waiting a long time already. How is it an hour after opening you have NOTHING?? Drove to another shipleys a few minutes away, Waller, and they had EVERYTHING ready. Perhaps cypress management needs more training?

This place needs to update their hours …. Very disorganized and disappointed. Skip this Shipley’s go to another one. Don’t waste your time trying to get to this one …. Unless you have a hard craving don’t come early or late … never ready.

I arrived at 5am and the donut shop did not have donuts. They did not serve donuts until 5:25am and then slowly one tray of each kind came out. I was waiting for an Eclair for my sister who is in the hospital but those did not come out until 5:34 am. Iwanted a Bavarian but those were still not out so i I was out of luck. If my sister was not wanting the Eclair they would have not gotten my money.

Stop by around 7:30 am to get donuts. Everything was ice cold. In Houston the earlier you come you are almost guaranteed to receive fresh hot donuts. Everything was ice cold as if they kept it in the freezer over night. Also, the lady working the register and window was not friendly at all. First time trying this place out. I can assure you that I will not be returning. Get it together Shipley’s!

Update: This location is STILL horrible, 2 yrs later. Imagine you come in to buy donuts, to be served donuts made hours ago when they arrive in the morning around 4am when there is minimal volume. You request hot donuts and they tell you 30 min wait to discourage you, when it really takes 5-7 mins, but they will tell you its fresh. Ha!! You have to go back home and put it in the microwave to warm it up. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else… when you are paying about $1 per donut… this location doesnt care. Rude.. rude.. and more rude. This location sucks and the 2 women who work the front are awful. Bad attitude and they don’t tell the truth. There donuts are usually cold and they act like they are doing you a favor. Cold donuts and hot donuts are the same price.. patronize establishments who want to deliver quality and customer service. This establishment does not! Will not be back!

Showed up at 5:10 nothing was available for purchase the lady at the window says 15 minutes? What donut business open at 5 and does not have any donuts ready. I made a blank trip why not open at 6 if your have to cook or get there earlier so I can be ready to open at 5 as the website says your open at 5

This location opens at 5am. I showed up at 5:15am and ordered 3 glazed and 2 apple fritters. They told me they didn't have any. He then asked if I wanted kolaches or doughnut holes and I said no, I want apple fritters and glazed doughnuts. Why open at 5am if you aren't even going to have anything else to order?? Glazed doughnuts are the literal bread and butter of Shipley Doughnuts. It's the standard, basic offering, and to not have it when you open is absolutely ridiculous!

This has to be the worst Shipley location in Houston. Native Houstonian here, I’ve been eating here for 35 years. This one is not using the right recipes or something. On top of the poor taste of every item we bought, the service was terrible. The woman working the counter/window around 6AM was so rude. Lastly, NOTHING was ready. They opened at 5, I got there around 6 and all they had ready was glazed donuts and a few dipped. The rude woman substituted ham kolache order for sausage without asking, and was overall just a terrible impression for Monday morning. Your franchise manager needs to come visit this location. They need some TLC.
