Awesome El Pollo Loco place in Cypress. Terrific customer services as opposed to the one in La Palma and Valley View who never have answered to my issues and up to now unable to refund my canceled Apps order - in front of a store attendant. I would still get food from Cypress and any other places except the LA palma - Valley view branch

Drive thru service as my out of state friend wanted chicken avocado hurrito. I seconded that order and we got on freeway. Lucky for us burritos were not dripping and veey satisfying. Woman at window especially nice, even with sevetal cars in line. Great meal!

The food is good. But one of the Managers is rude. I asked for her name and when her employee gave me her name and I asked her if she was always rude and she said yes. There is never any reason to be rude to your paying customers.

Place was super busy since it was the lunch rush, and I had a huge order for my office. The staff was polite, and helpful. One staff member that was cleaning the salsa bar gave me some tips as I waited for my order. I did not have to wait long either.

Food was great like always. You can't go wrong with the guacamole salsa and the person who took my order was really nice and friendly as was the person who gave me my order. I will definitely be coming back.

I work in this area. In the area, this is the best fast food in the area. The Hawaiian place is pretty good but I don't have time to go there on my 30 minute lunch break. This location is clean and fast.

This Pollo loco has its act together compared to some of the others in the area not to mention it's prices are much fairer.. it's always boggled my mind how these franchises that are in more depressed areas have astronomically high prices for a product that is pretty much fast food.. my go-to order that I have been ordering multiple times a month suddenly went up almost $3 overnight at two of the locations I had been frequenting.. that's beyond inflation.....not to mention the service is worse as is the cleanliness of these places.. which of course has to do with the type of clientele that go there.. lots of homeless and lots of tweakers.. it's amazing they can afford it. I'll be coming here for the time being... I like to order using the online app and this is the only Pollo loco in the area that actually takes that into account and has a pickup location inside the establishment for online orders.. these other locations you're sitting there waiting in a six or seven deep line to pick up your food... My guess is at these other establishments, if you put the food out for people to pick up, the tweakers and homeless will run out with it.. this Pollo Loco is much appreciated

Pollo Loco isn't available in my area, so I hadn't experienced Mexican chicken until recently. It was undeniably delicious. Despite a slight inconvenience due to crowding and an initial order mix-up, a helpful lady, possibly the assistant manager, promptly corrected the issue. Overall, the chicken was fantastic, and the staff treated me kindly. 👍

We don't have pollo loco where I live, never tried Mexican chicken until now , it was delicious no doubt . I had a little inconvenience at first because it was a too crowded and my order was wrong , but a nice lady helped me a corrected my order right away , I believe she was assistant manager , dont remember . If you want fresh chicken and not that "it's still fresh leftover chicken from yesterday" This is the place to go to. The meat still looks white not like at other places where it looks yellowish or over burnt all you taste is chard or hard jerky... The chicken is so good here it taste like it's really healthy. Other than that this place is great the workers are always nice to men even tho they are wearing their mask I know there always smiling... Thanks to the big boss man there for explaining to me how they cook their chicken I just never ever had freshly cooked chicken so soft and so moist

El Pollo loco's is a nice classic restaurant to go to. I really enjoy eating their classic chicken burrito. The marinade they use is delicious and the meat is always soft and well-cooked. It's my favorite thing to get when I come here. Their other chicken is very flavorful and worth getting. The pricing here isn't bad either.

Like most El Pollo Loco restaurants, this just happened to be close to my hotel, good for every once in a while.

Food was really good and fast service. Only gripe was the tables were dirty and had to clean one off.

The dark meat is very good but the white meat is dry. Love the rice and the tortillas.

I been coming here for years. The food is great, staff are lovely. The only reason I have 4 stars is because I can barely get the door open, and it swing around and almost broke the glass wall. They should probably fix the doors.

This place was crazy good! The chicken was excellent, I only got a 2 piece to try, but will get more next time. Cole slaw was made right and Mac n' Cheese was excellent. Great place.

This location of Pollo Loco is very quiet which is nice and they have these really cool meal deals starting at five bucks which includes a drink and a side of chips. overall it was pretty good if you’re really hungry and are in need of something to eat while on a budget

This is a good El Pollo Loco. Friends got a grilled chicken meal and it looked tasty. I would get it next time. I got one of there new shrimp tacos and double chicken tostada. Shrimp taco little expensive at $4 but it was good. Tostada was on point. Basically if you want a tasty and healthier option, go here instead of KFC.

I went yesterday at around 3pm with my husband to dine in. I just wanted to share what a great, helpful and lovely young lady Lesli is. From what I seen, she was taking orders in the drive thru but still took the time to greet us with a smile and asks us to give her a second. As I was waiting, I could see she was taking an order and making it at the same time. Then, when she made her way up to us, again with a smile apologized for the wait and was so kind and patient while taking our order. She was very kind to tell us what each salad had and even made recommendations without making us feel like a burden for asking so many questions. After finishing our order, she rushed back to the drive thru to continue taking orders as she was also working on ours. Her costumer service is impeccable!! We were quite amazed to see such a fast, efficient but overall very lovely and nice lady. I tried calling to let the manager know what a great job she does but unfortunately no answer. But I still wanted to share my interaction. Great job with her Management!!

The Food & Service Is Either Hit Or Miss At This Location. I Will Only Stop By If I'm In The Mood For Them & Am In The Direct Area. The Usual Location I Frequent Is On Valley View & La Palma.

Their employees duck. They're service is so slow & incompetent. I guess it's hard to find good help in certain areas. Their Pico de gallo salsa was very bland today too. We had to add salt.

Food is always good but they can't ever get a order right. Must check every time before you leave the store. Either ring order up wrong or bag to go wrong.

I actually go to this pollo loco often and the people at the cashier are always kind and polite to me and greet me with a smile. I almost always order a 2pc combo with a loco side salad and mac and cheese. Well every time I get my food I always ask for an extra cilantro dressing and I always get attitude from the workers there. Even the manager has given me attitude. Today he even told me that the loco side salad already has dressing in it, and I said I still would like extra dressing. He gave me one but I swear it's like if I'm asking for a free meal or something. I like my salad with more dressing than what they put, is that such a big deal?. I just don't like the attitude/faces they make when I ask for extra cilantro dressing. I continue to go because it's the closest pollo loco to my job and because everything else is good.

Usually I'd give them 5 stars, but tonight the food took 13 minutes, the large quac was room temp and the tortilla roll was so burnt, I'm surprised they served it. Not a great drive through experience :(

The packaging needs to improve. A thin plastic bag and the box and juices always falls through the box and bag. Also, when I order 2 chicken breasts, one is always smaller than the other. Not consistent quality. Everything has become so avacado based as well. I like avacados done get me wrong, but a variety of other ingredients to meet other people's palates and expectations would be nice and a smarter business move.

Ate inside for a change. Cashier and team were very nice and helpful. Flavor for the chicken avocado burrito just wasn’t there, and not for the keto burrito either, both were further handicapped by the undercooked, powdery tortillas. Chicken tortilla soup was pretty good, although hot. Probably more like 3.5 stars but I just couldn’t get past the lack of taste for the burritos, so no rounding up.

I know we are short handed these days, but I was so disappointed in this place today, the line was super long, then I got my food and it was such a small portion and my "chicken breast" was dry.

Food was good, but their drive thru needs to be more efficient. Spent 15 minutes trying to order and ended up having to order at the window...

Ordered three items and only received two. Doors were locked so I had to get back in-line and re-order the third item while my two orders were getting cold.

I am here to tell a sad tale......of nachos. I had the misfortune to order the $5.00 nacho combo from a disinterested teenage cashier. I Love Nachos! (In the purely gastronomic sense.) I honestly don't expect much for $5.00, but I could swear that I got less chicken, diced into tiny tiny pieces, than I usually get in a Pollo Bowl. The cheese was a runny queso sauce with (I grimly suspect) cheese concentration measured in parts per million. Avoid this menu item at all costs. Or take it to go and give it to the obnoxious neighbor with the yapping dog. You will have your revenge!

The food is always good but the service this evening wasn't a nice experience at all. Items we ordered were different then what we ordered and one item was missing when we picked up our food. Food will bring me back to el pollo but we will look into another location. Very sad...

Disappointed. Service was OK. Chicken was very dry and bland. Something was wrong with the mashed potatoes, tasted off, ended up throwing it out. I like the El Pollo loco chain in general, but was disappointed with my order. I hope the chef was just having a bad day.

This place is dirty. This railing looks like it rarely gets clean. That glare is not from cleaning. If you see it up close, you would'nt want to touch it. And they are stingy on avocado.

I went through the drive through today, the lady the took my order had a bad attitude because I asked for no rice on my tostada salad, I also order a Baja taco, when I got to the windo the lady took my card the std there for about five minutes before returning my card to my shoving it into my hand, then she damn near through the the food through my window, I didn’t want to make a scene so I left, I open the taco to take a bite to an unpleasant crunch, the taco tasted horrible with very hard shrimp, I was very upset at the point I had to turn around and drive back, I go inside, had to wait five minutes before anybody came to assist me at the front, the manager was to busy rubbing himself against the female employees as he walked by them to notice the line, when he finally greeted me I showed the taco and the stale shrimp and he told me that’s how the taco is supposed to be, and he said what do you want me to do because if we make it again it will come out the same so I told him if that’s the case I need my money back, worst customer service, I go to el pollo loco all the time and I’ve been getting that Baja taco, the shrimp was never stale and hard but I guess this is what to expect when going to this establishment says the manager.

They are so rude and if you have an issue with a employee the manager literally disregards you! On top of my husband asking her for help to find a section on the menu she ignored him and said what are you going to order ? It just hasn’t happened to him it has happened to plenty of other coworkers of mine....

Even though delivery was chosen in the app, and going back and clearing the order to make sure delivery was chosen, it switched my order to pickup when the order was complete. And even though I called and they assured me that it would be delivered, they had me waiting another 30mins on top of the initial 40mins that I waited before calling and confirming that it would be delivered. No call back. So the only thing that saved me from going out sick to pick it up was that my wife had just gotten home from work and didn’t want me to go out and get worst. Frustrating. Pollo loco quality and customer service is really going down. I usually try to be understanding but they wouldn’t accommodate me even if I paid delivery charge or because I was really sick. No retribution but watch out for the app. It lies

I go to El Pollo at least once a week but this was my first time at this location and it has terrible service. 10 mins to just get a cut up chicken. The girl kept talking to Co-workers instead of packing up my food. I said I wanted red sauce only and she sent me home with 5 packs of green sauce too - so that was a waste. The sign outside said “we are open” someone needs to tell the employees

Waited over 20 minutes in drive thru line. I called manager by phone to find out what the problem was. She stated that they were understaffed. Can corporate office hire more workers and re-train or improve this Cypress restaurants management staff. I have never had problems at any other Pollo Loco. Sad to say this one is in the city that I live in.

Friday night drive thru experience had me at like what? No response from anyone till I spoke up and said ..hello are you closed Employee responds with, what do you want? I said 10 pc family meal pls His response..let me check. All I have to say is very bad customer service. I'm sorry that you work the afternoon shift but it's not the customers fault. Ordered plaon chicken. Apparently no tortillas. Ordered over phone no purse with me. Asked if I could just have 2? Nope 25 cents each. No money with me. Theyre 25 cents each. Nancy I think her name was. Dismissive, rude, impolite and has no knowledge of Custmer Service. Had to walk back to my car. No cash. Get my ATM to buy tortillas. For the year our family of 5 adults will not eat at El Pollo Loco in cypress on valley view and cerritos. I estimated that we spend about $100 a month there. Thats $1200 a year. Im disabled and have a ver specific diet. Its very hard to eat out. This was a treat for me. I spent $32 that day. So you just lost our business over 2 25cent corn tortillas.

I used to like this place a lot.Now it is very different. I was treated like a bad girl. My sister placed a large order and I picked it up by the drive thru. I passed by the drive thru and I said picking up for .... and the answer was not even a word. It was 2 cars in front of me. In the window I told the guy the name of the order placed. My order wasn’t ready yet. There was 3 pleople working on the order and the guy by the drive thru didn’t even look like he wants to be working. He gave me my incomplete order and he told me with bad attitude: “ next time pick your order inside, this is just for customer”. I just say ok. But I was thinking: who am I then in that moment. ?. I will never go back. Treat your customers like customers not like trash.

Nobody at the ordering counter. Rang the bell one time. The "chopper" came over and told me that I have to wait 15 minutes or go away. I was just looking at my phone not bothering anyone and he felt necessary to come and gave me a lecture in very rude attitude. Maybe next time I should follow his unkind advice and go elsewhere.

This is the 3rd time I have to deal with bad customer service at this location. The manager with the tattoos is extremely rude and gives me attitude every time I go. This time specifically I made an online order that I picked up and she was visibly aggravated and proceeded to tell me that there was no order under my name but her coworker reminded her there was. She asked me what drink I wanted like she doesn’t work at a fast food restaurant and actually had to do her job. This is my third run in with her and I won’t be going back to this location. I’ve also been charged wrong in the past. This lady shouldn’t be working there she cant even work the POS system the right way. Awful service top to bottom. Do better.

I ordered a guacamole queso burrito order 8341 on 5/30/2025 @12:51pm Burrito was nasty with old chicken. I got it to go and I almost threw up eating it. Old shredded chicken not even the taco meat it usually comes with. Worst pollo loco and first time horrible food experience at this cerritos location.

I had a coupon for a 5 piece family meal. My order seemed to be ready too fast. I didn't even have to wait more than a minute. I have had severe diarrhea for two days. My wife had an upset stomach as well after eating a small amount. I tried to work this weekend.....( I work at a grocery store and 4th of July week is probably one of our two busiest times) I had had to go home sick which to say upset my boss and co workers. They have to work harder since I'm not there . Not fair to them.

I have been here a couple times with me and my wife always have some sort of attitude and also they don't follow directions when you ask him well done browned the chicken. Today some Mexican girl or Hispanic girl at the drive-thru I asked her that the legs were not well done but she came back with some old wings which I didn't see until we got home bad service and bad food 🤮

Not happy, from the pictures on the menu, my mom ordered one salad, I ordered the other next to it....double chicken salad(note the picture has it in the shell) second picture is what I ended up with and was told that was what I ordered....some shell less salad with corn???? Not in the picture. For shame on us for not checking the order before we left the window. For shame on them for naming other salads after the pictures on the drive thru menu!
