Opinions de Celebration Dallas
Dinner with my little fam. Celebration is heavy on the rotation. Excellent service, great food, good specials!
One of the best dining places in town. We were pleasantly surprised to be dining such a cool place. Love their wooden architecture and design. And all the decorative stuff remind you of farm life. Seating space offers both private and common tables. Servers are amazing with their customer service. Menu offers variety for each day. Food is excellent. Price is not too bad. Just one minor issue that it is quite loud in there over lunch time and hard to talk. Long wait for a table during the weekend. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you!
I've lived in Dallas all my life and came again after a long time and absolutely loved it. Sitting at the bar made it great being with our bartender JOHN, who has worked there for 39 years!!!! Unbelievable to have worked there for so long and have such a wonderful countenance and attitude and personality. The food is fantastic and huge amount of it along with the entree--3 sides plus rolls/cornbread.... We went back 3 times in 2 weeks!!
Great patio! Service and food were good. The club sandwich was excellent. I own a restaurant and thought the pricing was too low. Definitely could be charging more for food.
They made up for a lousy experience last year. That gives them a better rating. Not a great place for large parties no matter what they say. I had always heard everyone rave about how great a place this is to dine. I would agree. The food is excellent but what a difference a great staff with some true training would make!
Absolutely phenomenal experience at Celebration! The farm-to-table Southern cuisine is delicious with generous portions and very reasonably priced. I understand they have family- style sides for dinner too. The atmosphere is relaxed, cozy and the restaurant’s history is truly intriguing. Our server Tiffany was exceptional! She was attentive, knowledgeable, kind and incredibly service-oriented. I came for lunch with a close friend and began to order the Walnut Crusted Chicken Salad, but instead started with the Chicken Tortilla soup, then the Chicken Fried Chicken with traditional gravy, broccoli and fresh roasted beets with fresh thyme and everything was outstanding. Lunch entrées come with a homemade basket of breads and three sides, which is such a nice touch. Add in a full service bar, beautiful patio and the fact that they support local producers, makes this place a gem. I enjoyed it so much that I’ll definitely be returning again and again to experience all that Celebration has to offer!
I had never eaten here before however it was recommended by a client we were taking to lunch; WOW, I’m certainly glad we went. I really appreciated the home style atmosphere and the food was amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and took time to explain several dishes we had questions about. I’ve added this to my list of restaurants for visiting family. I highly recommend Celebration!
If you're hungry, this is where you should go. The owners at my previous job used to cater from here all the time. I remembered going once and it was nice. Took my wife recently and I think this is the only place we will be stopping if we're on this side of town! This should be your go-to sit down restaurant. Great for business lunch AND date night. Amazing food - Great service.
Delicious food, excellent service with attentive staff, and a calm, cozy atmosphere with lots of wood accents and sound dampening materials. The dining area is broken up into several small rooms, not one giant echo chamber. I wish more restaurants were like this. I will definitely return!
Went in for lunch, and group of nine. Service was the best of any place I have ever been. A small quiet place with lots of charm. The staff handled our orders well and properly split the bills without difficulty. They are in an old cottage with several rooms. Food is American home cooking with small twists like sauces and special spices. Quite good. High quality food, good presentation. Reservations might be a good idea for larger groups.
Everything was fantastic! We will absolutely be coming back next time we are in Dallas. Every part of the meal from the breads and salad, soup, pick 3 veggies and entrees, to the desserts were so tasty. Portions were great, and prices very fair, especially for the area. I really appreciated that the hostess took my husband and I to a smaller room to dine, making for a more quiet and intimate experience next to other couples/duos. The seating in my side (booth) was comfortable and a good table height. Sounds like a weird observation, but if you've ever sat in a booth where the table was too tall, you know it feels like you're a toddler eating at the grown ups table. So this was a great improvement versus many many restaurants we've been to. The owners happened to come by testing out some chairs while we were dining, and graciously gave us 2 desserts free of charge. Coconut cream pie, and banana pudding. They made sure our meal was up to par as well. The two seemed like very nice people that really care for their business and customers. Overall, extremely pleased with our first time there. No complaints at all.
I love it here ♥️ the food is amazing! It’s honestly super tasty. I love the whole house comfort and the service is spectacular. My brother in law brought the whole family over to this spot in August and now my husband and I have been coming almost every weekend. I always order the catfish plate and let me tell you that it’s the best fried catfish I ever had. My daughter loves their rosemary chicken it’s very juicy and flavorful
Wow. I haven’t had a $20 meal that good in a long time. Very very good. The place has a homey feel, very attentive and friendly waitstaff. I got the trout and spouse got the chicken fried chicken. My fish was great and the tartar sauce was the best I’d ever tasted. We got spaghetti squash, mashed potatoes, and green beans/carrots family style sides. All good but we got seconds of the squash. Finished off with the chocolate pie. Yum!
Highly recommend! Love, love, love the separate rooms! Made it feel very intimate/cozy. We tried their tortilla soup (very delicious), pear salad (not a fan of blue cheese), garden salad (their croutons are yummy!) chicken fried chicken (tender chicken with a yummy crispy batter), chicken fried steak (very good), trout (a little too buttery for me), red fish (delicious), mashed potatoes (like any other restaurant mash), macaroni and cheese (bland, needs more cheese/seasoning), vegetable medley (good), berry cobbler (good), coconut cream pie (if you are a coconut lover like me, you’ll love this) and banana pudding (it was a no for me). Will definitely return!
Celebration has hosted many a family dinner for four generations in our family over the years, most recently for a weeknight dinner with me and my parents. Our server Jackson was attentive, knowledgeable, and just a generally pleasant person. The iced tea was very fresh and my glass was never less than half full, with more ice added on every refill. All of the breads are delicious, my mom prefers the jalapeno cornbread, my favorite are the blueberry muffins, and my dad prefers the more traditional white bread biscuit/rolls. It’s nice that we can each get more of what we want! My dad and I ordered from the daily specials menu, the pork chop with cherry mostarda and southwest chicken. My husband ordered the pot roast and my mom the chicken fried steak. We ordered spinach, fried okra, and mashed potatoes for our sides. The sides are served family style, but you can have seconds on these, and even change sides if you like. We were too full, as this was plenty of food for the four of us on the first course! The atmosphere is charming with remnants of nostalgia in the pictures and wall hangings, and the little enclaves, or smaller dining rooms, really make it feel like you’re eating dinner at home, just out with other people. We’ll be back for sure, thank you for your consistent service and delicious locally sourced menu!
This is a really great place. You don't have to dress up, but you, can if you like for many people come there. They are very casual, and then there are a few that are dressy. Dressey, this place is very relaxed. Your servers make you feel like you're their only patrons. The food is farm to table, meaning that the food is local and in the back of the menu. I did not take a picture of it, but in the back of the menu. It tells you where the food comes from. What farm the beef is from support. The fish come from the vegetables. Everything I love this place
It's been years since we ate here, but we were back in town near here and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. It was as good as we remember. Since it was an old house, it has plenty of different rooms and places to be a little more secluded. Service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. The menu was intriguing, and we loved the family style servings. We will be back.
Amazing menu that is constantly changing for the better. Excellent wait staff. The bar top is my favorite place to eat and chat
I often meet friends there for lunch or dinner. Food is great! service is excellent. Chicken St. Caroline is my favorite although I love black-eyed peas as well.

Some great southern/down home cooking. Old school restaurant. They fill you up on bread and salad, probably so you don't order too much all you can eat, but it's all delicious.
Always good food and service- like eating at home! Salads are fresh and breads served at the beginning are wonderful!

Food is good but I was disappointed by the chickens fried steak. The rest was pretty good, it is nice that you can pick three sides and that it comes with a basket of breads. Service was good and we went for lunch on a Saturday and there wasn’t a line. They make reservations for large parties.
Great place that folks have been coming to for ages. Intimate seating and great food.

Food is just ok - pretty basic home cooking with minimal seasoning and mundane presentation. It's definitely not the same restaurant it used to be...another victim of Covid and the economy. Service was fine. Nothing here is exciting, but if you're looking for basic family dinner meals, this kind of fits that need.
We went to Celebration for dinner with family during a recent trip to the Big D… venerable old school place, around for decades. The place is cool in appearance, stone building, nice outside patio! The appeal is nostalgia… not good quality food IMHO. The table ordered soup, fried chicken, fried catfish, baked chicken, grilled salmon, and a handful of sides. The lentil soup was very good, but everything else was just OK! None of the food was particularly hot, and with fried food, it’s gotta be hot! The veggie sides were warm at best… seemed most of the food was cooked in advance, which allowed for speedy delivery, but quality suffered. Desserts were also just OK, even the kids didn’t finish them. Service was great! But, beyond that, our visit was disappointing. The place had received a lot of hype from family. We don’t need to go back.
A home style kitchen with shareable plates and local ingredients 🥕 🍖 Pros: - accommodating staff - quiet interior - good spacing between tables - cozy and warm - affordable prices - locally sourced ingredients - fresh flavors and changing menu - the best dinner rolls on the planet Cons: - feels like someone’s house, not in a good way - no decor at all. Zero. - very cramped parking lot with bad accessibility - flavors are overtly rich and over complex - very dark inside, only harsh overhead lighting - not set up for sound dampening, very loud Overall I’m glad I came so I could try the chicken, but once was enough. I will definitely not be coming back to try more of the menu or recommending this place to anyone.
Definitely not as good as in years past, unfortunately. That said, the french onion soup was excellent - sweet onions with a lot of flavor, the fried okra was even better. Fresh, hot, crispy, a…

The food was ok, just average. It was chopped up and busy... This is definitely not my atmosphere! Don't really recommend..
The food portions (especially the sides) are small and were meh as far as taste. The mashed potatoes were particularly poor in quality. I've eaten there 6-8 times over the past 20 years, and don't plan to go back after our latest experience.
