My son said his barbacoa on flour tortilla tacos were some of the best he's ever had. I agreed with him! Both the corn and flour tortillas are some of the best I've ever had in Dallas. It's hard to find authentic tortillas and authentic cooked meats in North TX. The more South in TX you go, the more Mexican authentic the food gets, and Dallas is very far north, so 🤷🏻‍♀️. But this was a very pleasant surprise!! We had such a delicious and spontaneous dinner here. Very memorable and will be telling others about this place and coming back. It's a true gem in the rough. Don't let the neighborhood scare you from trying this place out. The people, and the food, are welcoming here. I do recommend ordering more than what you think you can eat, trust me.

I know it gets thrown around a lot. But from the hundreds of taco places I’ve tried around the world, this the my absolute favorite. The tortillas seem like they are made in house, the sauces are perfect, and the meat has a smoky and tender taste. Everything comes together and just melts in your mouth. I can’t get enough of this place. I’ve been trying to make it on the weekends to try their birria tacos.

We found Chilangos on an article about them opening another restaurant. The tacos were excellent. The Pastor with Pineapple was outstanding. They are a meat forward taco with a lot of oil. Great vibe with hand sanitizer everywhere!

First time visiting this place, that I've had on my list to visit. Let me say it was excellent! I got 1 of almost everything, because I wanted to try all the flavors & seasonings. We enjoyed the experience & couldn't wait to eat. We sat in the parking lot & kept having each other's stuff, so we wouldn't miss out. Everybody was friendly & the place was clean. The only draw back was that this place was small, so you might have to wait, but IT'S WORTH IT! We'll be back next week! LMBO!

Delicious tacos, corn tortillas are fresh made, suadero is nice I wish more grease but at least real suadero, pastor didn’t disappoint me, salsas are good, service is excellent wish they have baby chairs.

PHENOMENAL Birria Tacos! I came here based on the reviews and it does not disappoint. When you walk in and see a line it just screams AMAZING FOOD! The flavors are popping and priced perfectly. Definitely get the Birria Tacos. It’s crazy because my friend said it perfectly “They taste greasy, but you feel light afterwards.” If you want amazing food that is made with heart and soul. Come to Chilangos Tacos!

First time here and I can already tell you that I will be back. I just got the carmalized mushroom 🍄 tacos 🌮 and they were 🔥🤤 (I’m vegetarian) but my wife gets the birria and is in love as well. Highly recommended.

By FARRRR, no competition, BEST Tacos/food I’ve had here in Texas, actually, the U.S.!!! I had the Al Pastor tacos, Campechano Quesadilla, Pastor Costra taco, Elote & of course Mexican Coca-Cola. They know how to do tacos, at least Pastor, right. The best flavor and it didn’t taste like old greasy tacos like I’ve had and topped off with some pineapple, cilantro and onion. I love the mix of steak and pork (Campechano) in the quesadilla and the Costra taco was so good. Honestly I can’t even say anything other than these were as close as you can get to authentic Mexican tacos. The elote was also good and not soupy like many other places I’ve tried. Even though the least spicy sauce was a bit spicy, it was so flavorful and tasty! Don’t tell me about any other taco spot cause I don’t want to hear it, THIS IS IT!!!

Stopped by for lunch during work and was highly impressed. These are some of the better tacos i've had around town. The sitting area is a little tight and it got quite busy. The service and food was fast and friendly. They only serve tacos and quesadillas however l, no rice or beans. Will return soon.

Stopped in to pick an order for dinner. Their barbacoa tacos are delicious and their elote. I got the carne asada quesadillas and I wish they were a little bigger, they were only slightly bigger than the tacos and the meat in them had a fair amount of gristle which I wasn’t very happy about. I won’t order those again. Looking forward to trying more of their menu.

We found this location on tiktok and decided to try it out before we left Dallas. BEST decision ever!! Not only want the lady that took our order kind, even the patrons were kind! I didn’t feel like I didn’t belong there. Now let’s get to the best part, the food. It was so, so, SO good that I want to drive 3 hours just for some more! The ingredients are very fresh, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the vibe the whole place had was off the charts. We got our order very quickly, and had no issue finding seating. Probably the best tacos I've ever had! - The chicken is flavored and not dry. It's chopped in small cubes too. - The beef ones were great too and equally as good as chicken. A little fatty when I had it but gave it more flavor. - The pork.... AMAZING. If anything just get a few of these and you're set. Highly recommend getting Queso (shredded melted cheese) on them but it is a little extra per taco for that. The four tortillas are perfection. Tacos are really good! Served on a hand made corn tortilla. I had the pastor and carne asada tacos with an horchata(authentic). They have 3 different salsas; 2 green and 1 red. The grilled onions add an additional flavor to your tacos. Must try! Definitely coming back!

Chilangos is one of the best taco places in Dallas. I checked this place out because I saw it on TikTok. I was skeptical at first but once I tried their food it was delicious. I’ve been going here for the past year and it’s been my go to. The service is great and the food is better. I usually get the pastor and barbacoa tacos on flour tortillas. You get to choose your salsas and they top off your tacos once you get them. Seating is a bit hard to find sometimes because of how busy it gets but people come and go quick. They also have other locations and all the locations are good also they are all consistent and their food is good every time :)

Street Tacos: $2.50-$2.75 Only has onions & cilantro. Ask for cheese, and more things if desired. Carne Asada Taco: Wonderful! Moist, perfectly cooked, seasoned great and a different flavor than the chicken. Has a tiny bit of heat. Score: 10 out of 10 Pollo Taco: Same delicious chicken as on the quesadilla, but on a taco version. Delicious!! Score: 10 out of 10 I’LL BE BACK!!

Do you enjoy good tacos as much as I do? I suggest all taco lovers try Chilangos Tacos. I have ordered from both the Harry Hines and Preston Road locations. Chilangos Tacos provided terrific food, service, and a friendly atmosphere. Most importantly, the line up of scrumptious tacos were loaded with supreme flavor. Had been hearing that this was the “best taco spot in Dallas” so of course I had to see for myself. I went to the legacy Hall location so this review will be based on my experience there. The food was 5/5 as it was flavorful, fresh and it came out really fast. I had the birria tacos which they only have on weekends. My first time and I am hooked! The only problem I had was the customer service at this location. The woman taking orders was rude and seemed very annoyed with the customers when they asked and the food items. Isn’t a good look as she was representing the business in an ill manner. Nevertheless, the food was bomb, so I’d go back and eat there again

Staff was great! The place was clean. It’s a bit out of my way but I wanted to try it based on someone’s review on Instagram. The meat in the tacos was high quality and perfectly seasoned. Tacos were served on corn tortillas. The only reason it’s not a 5 star is because the only way you can drink water is if you buy it.... I had the chicken, pastor, and carne asada. My favorite was the pastor with some pineapple to add a hint of sweetness until I tried the costra chicken. The costra is essentially cheddar and jack cheese that is grilled until it just starts to harden when it cools. They roll it up and fill it with chicken topped with cilantro and onions. It was muy bien!

Took my son to try the Birria Tacos w/ consome (only offered on the weekends) and I had a mushroom taco. They did not disappoint. The horchata on the other hand was not all that great for $3.50( it should have been strained better and needed more sweetener) Everything was delish and the tacos had a great crunch and taste. They were a bit busy, but tended to everyone promptly. Great service and vibe. We'll definitely be back. 04/10/2022-Delicious mushroom quesadilla. 😋

The tacos (pollo, suadero and al pastor) were very good. The elote was good and very spicy. The chips and hot sauce were very good. The service was fast and friendly. We wanted to try the birria tacos but they had already sold out for the day.

This is a hidden gem! First time going there so I didn't know what to expect. The place is really small and crowded so you should plan on ordering to-go. The menu is really simple. The tacos are small (street taco size) so you will need to order at least 3 or 4 of them. All were tasty and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Make sure before you leave to get the green sauce, it has a good flavor. The red sauce is very spicy, but it is good too. I got a side order of chips and salsa. I thought at first $2.99 was a bit much for the small bag of chips and small container of salsa but the taste made up for the price.

I absolutely loved the birria tacos. The staff was nice and friendly. It was a bit small inside and they have lot's of taco lovers, so there was limited sitting. The corn I did not like, but everything else was delicious.

Overall food was good. The prices may change between flour and corn not much so no biggie. Overall the food had good taste. Place is small in case you come when it's busy and don't find a place to sit but they are fast so wait is minimumal compared to other places. I had 3 corn tacos, 1 quesadilla and a Mex coke total $16 so about avg price wise.

The Carne Asada tacos are good but the meat is a little dry it needs a little more flavor but overall it is pretty good, green sauce is the best, the horchata is really good would recommend, the lady taking the orders is very sweet, customer service was 10/10, it is also a very busy place very over crowded! Food was okay. The birria tacos have too much cheese, the elote is too watery. The salsas were so bomb! The restaurant is small and doesn’t have enough room for people to sit. The cashier was AMAZING. She is the perfect person for the job, it would be awesome if all restaurants had customer service like that. Give her a raise, she’s a keeper!!!!! Honestly, my feedback is more on the customer service than the food. Even the guy that serves your food was very nice. 10/10 for customer service 🩷

Overall I really enjoyed the food that I got here! I think I was just expecting a bit more. When it comes to the location, although the spot is small, everyone is sitting so close together and hardly any of the staff wear masks, which was scary to me as I can see who prepares the food and there are employees that interact with multiple customers without masks. The prices however were EXTREMELY FAIR! I got 4 chicken tacos and elote for just $12 and that is with a tip! I believe that is a steal!!! The elote was banging but the chicken I thought would be a bit more flavorful but it was all still good! The salsa sits out for everyone to grab and I’m not sure how good that is with COVID so I got my salsa verde from the bottle. I would still recommend this place but I would advise visitors to be cautious!! But the food is good.

Chilangos is amazing! Always our quick spot to eat at when we stop in the area- Elotes are okay, Chips and Salsa pretty good, Ljme Jarrito always a good pairing! Chicken, Carne Asada & Barbacoa Tacos are the best on flour. Their mild, medium, and hot sauces are also good. Always ask for extra cilantro, onions & limes!!

Great tacos. Had carne asada, pastor and chicken. Only order extras for one taco- they put everything on side and give you enough for all your tacos- pineapple, onions, cilantro etc. Clean and easy. Would definitely go back.

Stopped by to grab a quick bite at Chilangos Tacos, the price is pretty average and the taste was amazing. The cashier was patience when deciding what tacos I wanted to try. Overall, it was great place for tacos, I preferred the Pastor tacos and a little hint of pineapple was a perfect match. If you’re in the area, stop by and get you some authentic tacos.

Chilangos Tacos knows how to throw a flavor party—and I’m here for it! The tacos are legit delicious, but every now and then you bite into a surprise guest: a fatty chunk in their asada tacos that nobody invited. It’s like meat roulette… exciting, but slightly chewy. Service? Top-notch. The staff are friendly and get food to you fast. The atmosphere is also on point—cool vibes. I want to give this place 5 stars, I really do—but until the meat stops playing tricks on me, I’m keeping one star in time-out. I still visit often though cause it’s one of the few actual good taco places in Texas.

I just started going to chilangos for my lunch break and it never disappoints! Them tacos are delicious! Great service all the time and the ambience is always busy but good!

I was not too impressed, the tacos were okay and the salsa was bland. I had high hopes as they looked delicious. Nothing that I would crave and make the drive for, but would eat it again if I had to. Also, they skipped my order by like 6 people and I had to wait a while to get my food.

Tacos are okay, not the best and the service is really slow with three taqueros in the kitchen they should be slinging tacos out faster, big line of customer waiting for there tacos, be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes for your tacos, dine in area is small and you have to wait for table.

I found this place by searching “the best tacos in Dallas” on Google. The best part is that it’s only 10min from where I live, it’s on the very edge of Dallas near Irving, so I didn’t have to drive deep into the city - that’s always a plus. Anyway, I don’t think I can say these are the best tacos in Dallas, but the salsa has to be one of the best salas I’ve ever had (it’s complimentary, along with the guacamole if you eat inside). The best I’ve had so far were at Taquería Taxco, but these were good nonetheless though. I got my food to-go. I ordered 4 “pollo” (chicken) tacos and chips + salsa. Altogether I spent $12!!!! And if I didn’t get the chips and salsa, I would’ve spent like $10. The affordability alone will bring me back. I will say, I enjoyed my tacos but the chicken didn’t have as much flavor as I would’ve liked. I had to add salsa, lime, cilantro, and onions to give it all the flavor I needed. It was a good, just not great. The restaurant is cute, there’s a few tables, but it think it’s more set-up for people to come-and-go. Everyone was nice, the service was quick, and they got my order perfect! I will be back for sure! Check it out!

Not the best tacos in dallas… pretty mediocre tacos. Pros: Salsas were good and spicy. Pineapple on the al pastor tacos is appreciated. Little to no wait time Cons: Lacking flavor in the meat. Tacos didnt wow me like the reviews say. They ran out of Horchata at 6:30 pm on a sunday… I got an elote and the gave me some quesadilla cheese instead of cotija?? Seating is limited but not hard to find a table. Definitely would pass if you were wanting authentic CDMX tacos.

Major letdown on this visit. Their signature tacos de suadero, which were previously a highlight, fell flat. The meat was tough and lacked flavor. Clearly, quality control took a backseat this time.

This place should open a new location because it is always packed! In the middle of a pandemic and they are still serving food inside the restaurant with no social distancing whatsoever. I’ve been there twice and first time I ordered the most amazing birria tacos, second time I was really lookong forward to my birria tacos and SURPRISE they gave me barbacoa and NO consome! (I paid over $10 for $6 worth of 3 barbacoa tacos: photo attached). I recommend the food but it is just not safe to go right now, there’s litteraly more than 40 people inside the tiny restaurant. Great food but I would pass until they get more strict with the social distancing rules.

I'm disappointed at this recommended place. It's affordable, but very meager service for the price. Big team of people in the kitchen, so I didn't have to wait too long. Family atmosphere, so I think it's a popular joint, and I had my food as a takeout. I'm visiting Dallas from MN, and I see taco places everywhere, and this particular spacious restaurant was recommended by a local dude. Once I arrived at my hotel room and opened up my food tray, I was very disappointed of the smaller than usual serving they packed up for me. I won't be returning here to eat again, ever ! Real CHILANGO tacos are the best. This Dallas version it's such a thumbs down, not authentic Mexican, at all.

Ive never seen a taco shop so stingy with the onions and cilantro. You order 4,5,6 tacos and you get the same amount of onions & cilantro as you would if you only ordered one single taco. It happens to me ever single time. Its so stupid.

So done with this place after repeatedly going back and giving them chances. Pictures say it all - 11 tacos, 1 quesadillas - one sauce of each kind in the full box every time. Find another way to cut corners, please. First you give these packets and then you don’t think of how many tacos are in the order. Last time, we got wrong tacos (pork that we don’t eat), time before that we were shorted tacos. DONE!!!!

This place may have good tacos but there are really short on them limes not only are they giving us the smallest limes also the driest limes be sure when you go you tell them you want limes not baby limes. It’s not a good taco if you ain’t have no lime on it. I’m pretty upset about this I have been a loyal customer for over year and this part has never changed. I mean if you go buy the taco but be sure to have some limes in your purse cause they ain’t got no limes in there well no good ones
