Opinions de Cucina Romana Dallas
This place was spectacular. I can easily see how they are able to just be lord 5 hours a day. The menu is beautiful, and there’s really so many different options. I ended up getting the chicken parm with an Italian wedding soup instead of a salad. My boyfriend got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo with the salad. Both of them were GREAT! the portions are Indians as well. We ate there for dinner last night and I just ate mine for lunch and I still have some to snack on tomorrow. The service is great as well. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. I cant believe I’ve lived next to this place for years and never tried it. I highly highly highly recommend it. Also, get their baked meatball appetizer to start of the great meal.
The lasagna is amazing. I had the sausage one for the spicy effect. My son said the fettuccine noodles were a little harder than they should have been, but he enjoyed it. Jessica took great care of us. They don't take reservations on Friday and Saturday. Wait was minimal at 6pm.
Had my birthday dinner on the 22nd of January. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server was phenomenal!! Even gave me a dish of ice cream that was out of this world. So glad we found this place. It is my new favorite!!
Amazing neighborhood Italian spot. It's family friendly, the portions are huge, and prices are reasonable. We love it here!
I have always loved this restaurant! I first discovered the Dallas location because it was in my neighborhood and was excited when I moved to Allen to find the original location and their pizza. I always add a side of chicken milanese to every pasta...love it with tons of squeezed lemon! There's usually a wait in Dallas on Friday or Saturday but it's well worth it. I recommend a specialty martini or walnut old fashioned while you wait!
Great chicken parm! This place has unique décor with a hole in the wall feel. You can only get on the waitlist for a table in person so keep that in mind. It was worth the wait, and we had great bread, meatballs, chicken parm, and pasta. This is an awesome Italian spot!
We randomly found this place and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the host was welcoming and attentive, even on a busy Saturday night. We only had a short wait, and the whole team made us comfortable right away. Our server, Strummer, was absolutely exceptional. He was attentive without being pushy, perfectly timed in his service, and really knowledgeable about the menu. The food itself was fantastic—from the calamari to the pasta dishes and those little extras like the soup and salad. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. What really stood out was that the quality of the entire experience felt like it exceeded the price point. We truly felt we got more than our money’s worth. We even stopped to thank David, the manager, on the way out because the whole team did such a fantastic job. We can’t wait to come back.
I walked in and they were very busy. So busy the Manager asked if he could help me. I replied I'm here to pick up a to go order my wife just called in. He confirmed they just got the order and I asked for the bar to get a beer while I waited. Everyone was so friendly. The lasagnas were great. Wonderful experience!
Walked in on a Saturday night for dinner and was seated right away. The ambiance was really lovely, with dim lighting and walls covered with interesting photos that made it feel warm and inviting. We started with the calamari, which unfortunately was not very good. However, our main dishes more than made up for it. My husband had the special of the night, a gnocchi dish in a beef sauce, and I ordered the fettuccine in a rosa sauce with steak milanesa. We both loved our meals. They also serve bread and salad with the entrées, which was a nice extra. Our waiter and the food runners were all very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great dinner experience despite the appetizer.
Ive ate alot of Italian food around DFW and Chicago and never been to place the lives up to Chicago Italian food , But this place is just like what I grew up eating in Chicago amazing dishes my family goes here for all our Birthdays we all love it everything is home made and there only open 4 hours a day 5 to 9 and it gets busy. Try there ravioli some the best in DFW my son loves there chicken parm and there version of Veal parm I love there shrimp with creamy lemon sauce . My ex mother in law and father in law came to town and he grew up in NY and his mom is from Italy and I took them to dinner one night and his comment was that it tasted like his moms food that's high complement coming from him in fact he ordered a extra plate to take back to the Hotel with him. If your in north dallas and looking for some bomb Italian food please go try them but you might wanna get there at 5 because you will be waiting on a table and they have some good bartenders they know how to pour a drink and I have never had bad service and they send people around to clean off stuff when ur done with what your eating. It's upscale service for family prices . Whoever owns the place knows restaurants and how to treat people. I don't leave alot of reviews but I love this place and I miss living in north dallas one the best places to live in DFW
Found this spot when looking for good Italian options for my mom's birthday dinner. Roman Cucina didn't disappoint. My only slight issue was that our dishes were over salted but nothing unbearable. The staff was great when I went in to order our takeout. Smiles everywhere, great buzz of energy from the other patrons. We will definitely be going back soon to dine in!
A great local Italian spot that's been around for many years. Very customary selections that you'd expect and great weeknight pricing specials to catch. Space inside is a bit limited, but they have a nice fully covered patio that, while not climate controlled, stays comfortable outside of extreme weather. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating with most food items coming out quickly.
I can rarely give all 5 stars to anyone, but Roman Cucina deserved it and is my new favorite Italian restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant decor was so wonderfully overdone old school that the 80s music didn't even take away from it. The service was the best I've had in several months and the price was not too high to be prohibitive. The Italian sausage was authentic and not greasy (not sure how they did that), and the bruschetta appetizer had cooked tomatoes that weren't mushy. We were so full that we didn't have room for desert, but I will look forward to trying that next time.
This must be the real neighborhood Italian restaurant that Maggiano's Little Italy modeled their restaurant after. Talk about authentic Italian! We'd have to say that the best part of Roman Cucina was how comfortable we felt there. The service was friendly and we felt like we were at a big family dinner. Try it and you'll become a regular.
This place is such a vibe. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with such a decorated and easy going environment. The servers are all nice and amazingly attentive, almost even overly so. The salads that come with each meal are very chilled, fresh, and well seasoned. Overall the entrees were just okay, but if you love classic italian it will definitely be a hit. The portions are huge so be ready to take home leftovers. Overall, this is a great place for a date night at the bar or a family dinner at any of their large booths.
Second time eating here and so far great food, service and place. I like the overall looking of this restaurant. Meredith our server was great and very polite all the time. The 4 stars is because we got the Tiramisu for dessert but very disappointed after having so delicious food. Extremely sweet and the flavors did not taste balanced.
6/10 food, go there for the quantity not the quality. The vibes are immaculate, weekends are always lively. I got the bruschetta, normally it would be a fresh dish but very heavy here. Also got the eggplant Parmesan, tasty but heavy.
