Visiting Dallas and decided to stop by this restaurant 2 nights. It was yummy! We compared the premium versus the ultimate and honestly, the premium is the winner. The meats come in small portions but that allows you to try other options. Seemed a bit short staff but that isn’t a huge issue if you’re just a little patient. But would definitely come back! Only pic I got was the s’mores since I was enamored with the food!

This place offers delicious Japanese barbecue. Their all-you-can-eat menu is quite vast and the meat is fresh and not over-marinated. One thing I would improve is customer service; it's spotty at best, especially since the restaurant wasn't too busy.

We’re in town visiting. My partner never had Japanese style bbq so I took him to this place. It didn’t disappoint. We were there during lunch hours so we got the lunch special. We each got the 3 meat plates per person. I can’t remember what they were but everything was great! I didn’t like the spicy pork, too much spice on it but my partner didn’t mind. The service was great, our waiter was attentive. The place is well ventilated so you don’t walk out smelling like grilled food. 10/10 highly recommend!

My partner has been wanting to come here and everything is what we expected! The food was all high quality and tasty~ definitely would recommend a reservation. We made one but those who came after is and didn't had a wait time for 1.5hr. Only thing was this was first time here and there wasn't much guidance on how cook everything. We had to figure it ourselves.

This is one of my favorite places when it comes to all you can eat. A la carte is available but I usually order the lunch menu which is $27.50 ayce. The kimchi, Gyu Kaku salad, and seaweed soup is recommended. I tried all of the toro beef and the yaki shabu beef. They always have different promotions when it comes to holidays.

Delicious 10 out 10. Recommend the garlic noodles. Service always good even on the weekends. If ur going in a big group highly recommend you make a reservation.

The restaurant is very standard to other chains and have great dinner options. They also have unlimited and meals that can serve 2, 3 and even 4 people. The price is between $30-60 per person.

Went for late lunch on weekdays and the lunch menu here is awesome. Combination 2 or 3 meats runs $13.99 to $17.99 pick the proteins and many choice of beef, pork and other meats. Upgrade is available and I would recommend trying the Garlic rice. They come in heated stone vessel and cooking table side. Delicious and affordable alternative for steamed white rice. Also Happy Hour menu is available before 6pm with many choices and cuts of meat Will definitely go back again soon.

This is a chain store but first time trying in Dallas. There is a lunch all you can eat special which was a nice surprise and very reasonably priced. Don’t remember seeing this type of offer at the stores in CA. It is a 70 minutes limit with lots of option for both meat lover and vegetarian! Nice service, friendly staff, it was our server’s third day working there but he was able to understand what our needs are and make sure we are taken cared of. Definitely would visit again even without the all you can eat specials.

The wagyu and pork belly was excellent. The marinated meats were very good. Even the salad with what seemed to be a spicy mayo based dressing was good. I didn't really pay attention to if the wasabi was special or real but it was a touch above what I would expect to receive at most restaurants. Being Thanksgiving, we were grateful for Gyu-Kaku being open! We were tired of family and needed a place to hide out! We opted for the Chef's Choice over the all you can eat and we were very satisfied with the amount of food and variety! The fried rice and kimchi were perfect. Overall an excellent experience and the warmth from the grill was a great addition to the cool weather! My only complaint and the only reason theres 4 stars is the use of aluminum foil for the broccoli and the dips. The aluminum foil melted quickly even on the edge of the grill and we didnt eat the broccoli.

The first time I went, it was just me and my partner. Everything was amazing. Food and service was so amazing. We tipped our server 30%. However, this time when we went it was not how I remembered it. Granted, I did have a big party so maybe the establishment is not made for big parties? Service was slow, and there was a 90 minute time limit from the first order. I’m very aware of this, but when we placed our first order, not only did the food take long to come out… when we were done our server was nowhere to be found. We had to ask other staff for more alcohol, refills, and to flag our server down so we can finally order. Maybe they were understaffed, I’m not sure, but when we finally found her, we ordered again our 2nd round and were notified that this would be the last round we can order before we get cut off. Of course we doubled our order for our last round. Again, I’m very aware of the time limit, but it is frustrating that it was due to the lag in service that only allowed us to place our order twice. Coincidentally, the second time our food came out, it was extremely quick, and we ordered more + doubled the order our second/last round too. I don’t really recommend this place for big parties. I enjoyed it a lot when I went with a smaller group.

Was really excited to try this place based on the good reviews and it unfortunately disappointed. The place overall has a really nice atmosphere I thought - but the food wasn't anything to brag on. The meat wasn't impressive and our server didn't really coach us very well on cooking times or grill temperature. There are other good Japanese BBQ I would choose over returning here.

Food was good but we came with about 30 mins before dinner and the lady there basically told me I wasn't going to be able to do lunch and dinner was 3x as much. It took us 30 mins to eat. Bathrooms were dirty and smelly and they the brown paper towels as toilet paper. A worker went into the toilet before me and pissed all over the seat didn't even bother lifting it. Food was fine.

The food was good as always. Gyu has always been my go to for years and this is the first encounter I have had where it felt like we were being discriminated. There were multiple tables around us who came in a bit before and after us and we watched them have a significant amount more check in’s then us. This was my first time bringing my partner to Gyu and while he was in the restroom, I received a check in and I asked for them to check back in with me when my partner came back out and gave them my drink order. When my partner came out they only addressed me and didn’t ask him for his drink order. It was Monday so it was Happy Hour all day and looking around I could tell we were the few of the tables that ordered from the coursed menu and that still didn’t seem to be taken into account. My partner asked for a refill on his water and 30 minutes later I had to give him mine because no employee was checking in with us. It continued into having to flag down staff to bring dessert and the bill while we simultaneously watch the tables directly to our left and right being actively attended to. To say the least it was disappointing as this was my go to spot and I was excited to show my partner and it left a sour taste in my mouth

The food is great! The service however… when we first walked in we had to wait for the hostesses to finish chatting before being acknowledged. Once seated our waiter took our drink orders and we never saw him again. After 20 minutes we had to flag down another waiter took our drink to help us. Some of our food took 40 minutes to get to the table. For the price you pay and the time limit it is not worth it. You are paying to wait and maybe get two rounds of meat that isn’t what you ordered.

I have come to this place so often. Everytime it’s a wonderful experience till now. I went in OCT 19th 2025 to celebrate my bday. When I walked in. They were celebrating someone’s birthday. No one asked why were came in, even my reservation said it’s for birthday. I guess we just don’t matter 🤷 After we got seated there, took around 10 minutes till someone finally came and get our drink. Took him 10 minutes to get my soda… after first round of protein. We ordered more. Took 15 minutes till the protein got there and around 20 minutes till he brought out the rice. The dude got my order wrong, gave me some meats I didn’t order. Horrible experience, The whole time, the server looked like he is mentally clocked out. When some other dude drop off my food, he just throw the plate on the table and turned around leave. I really wish this could be seem by someone. I hope you all can do better Me and my friends won’t be going back anymore. But if it keeps up like this idk man🤷
