Great place for lunch after riding bikes around White Rock Lake. We went to the original Jake's off Skillman. Their burgers were big and juicy, and I had their Better than Buffalo chicken sandwich, which was the best I've ever had. Don't let the location scare you away. The food was great!

Been coming here for 20 years and I LOVE the food here!! The place has a very vintage-y vibe, the staff is always friendly. Never takes long to get our food. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The chicken for the chicken sandwiches is so tender and juicy! Definitely a great place to come over and hang out with friends or family

Great gome town burger joint. Everything was good, Chicken sandwhich was big, Ham & Cheese was quite good too. We also had mozzarella sticks to round it off. We enjoyed everything, we'll be back! About $13 bucks each person.

Man, I've been coming to this Jake's since I was a kid, having grown up in the Lake Highlands area. This place is as good as ever. The burgers are massive, succulent, and especially tasty. The malt I ordered hit the spot as well on this hot summer day. Come here, it will be worth your while.

Stopped by again today. The service was commendable. The food was delicious & on point. The serving size was more than I could finish & had to carry the rest home. New pics. We ordered the triple for 5$ fried green beans, pickle chips & mushrooms, Jalapeño topper burger, & hot dog. I loved it & so did my son. He absolutely loved that burger. Its crowded around lunch because its popular. It was our first time dining there. I was impressed.

I'm giving them a four for atmosphere only because the bathroom sink sprays water all over you the toilet paper holder doesn't work both of which were frustrating. The breakfast burger though is amazing and the service was great.

I have wanted to try this spot for a while since I have heard such good things about it. It was good. However, I am not a fan of poppy seed buns. I did learn later that they do have regular buns, so don't let the poppy seeds stop you from going here. They do serve alcohol but the atmosphere during lunch was family friendly. I would recommend trying Jakes if you are on Dallas and like to try different burger spots.

Old school burger place that also serves beer. Dine in and it also has a drive thru. Loved the poppy seed rolls for both the burgers and hot dogs! I loved the hot dog, it was huge, very tasty. My husband really liked his burger and fries. I got onion rings and they were very tasty, love the batter style. The staff were very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it had a smell, as I assume it is an old building. Overall, appears to be a local institution and will definitely go back!

I was in Dallas last year when I had this meal. It was mediocre, I was expected more taste wise but it filled the hole. There was nothing memorable about this meal at all. We waited for ages to be seated and were practically ignored until we said something to the waitress, even people that came after us were being served first. However after that, they did serve us well. Good atmposehere and vibe in here, very american. I wouldn’t eat here again unless there was absolutely nowhere else to go and I was desperate.

Great service and atmosphere. Love the location the staff was friendly and professional. The burgers are good can't knock them but the meat seem to have a soy mixture to it or out could have been my taste buds. Still go try for yourself and this is the reason for me not giving 5 stars ⭐.

The food is good. Very unfortunate for the terrible customer service. I came back as my order was prepared incorrectly Ordered: Loaded cheese fries (queso chilli bacon chifes jalopeno) And was only given queso with nothing else. All a simple fix as I brought my receipt and meal to show the mistake . Instead the cashier wanted to hand me the tiny To-go cups of 1 thing each like come on I ordered loaded fries for a reason lol . As that got me really upset I said “you can’t just load them up as i literally have them here rn.” He then made it a bigger deal by asking who prepared the order and then came back to tell me that because they were ordered online, It did not show up in the system correctly, even though I had the printed receipt that says otherwise Queso fries Regular LOADED which he kept. He then wanted me to throw away the incorrect order so I said no there’s no point to throw them out and to make me a fresh order. To make things worse I did not appreciate him speaking on the issue to his coworkers as I’m waiting in the corner for thr new order making EVERY SINGLE WORKER popped out their head to look at me.

Food has always been great but service today was horrible. I got up to grab a drink refill and the cashier tells me to throw my trash away when I wasn’t even close to leaving, in fact, my family was still eating. As we were leaving, another family was leaving as well and had left their trash on the table to who the guy then chased after all the way to the parking lot and made them come back to throw their trash. I understand everyone must throw their own trash out, however, there are ways to communicate with customers. It seemed that this employee was just looking to be lazy and not do any cleaning himself.
