What an amazing breakfast place with large portions for the money. I loved the steak omelets and my wife really loved the biscuits and heavy although we could have split either. Great biscuits too. Will be going back. Highly recommend!

Gets a little loud when busy , can hear more conversations then you want to hear sometimes. The food is good country food that hits the spot. Prices are fair. Parking not to bad. Wish there hours of operation we're a little longer in the day. But overall I enjoy this place and the food.

This is a great old school country restaurant with great breakfast. The portions are large and tasty. Come hungry. Our waitress was a hoot and gave a good as she got from my brother's wise cracks. It was very entertaining. Note, this is an older restaurant that is well established with lots of frequent locals. The decor is dated but homey. It is easy to get to, located at the 635/I20 intersection. Since 635 tends to back up here in the morning you might as well exit and have some breakfast.

Got the stuffed hash browns! Wow, just amazing. Sam, our waitress, was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and absolutely gorgeous! The pecan waffle was fantastic also! The stuffed hash browns were enormous. Thank you for everything!

Truckers: if you drop your trailer you can park in the dirt lot behind the restaurant if it isn't full. Second best pancakes of my life. Bacon is thick. Had breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection. Hot coffee, attentive service. Clean restaurant. The prices are amazingly low in these trying times. Will be saving this location for the next time we pass thru Dallas!!! Thank you.

First time I've tried this place before and I absolutely loved it! It is super clean which is a nice change from most diners, but has that good old fashioned diner food that hits home! Staff was friendly and fast! You've gotta try the mozzarella sticks they are my new favorite mozzarella sticks! I will definitely be back!

This place is an absolute hidden gem. Great food at a very reasonable price and great service as well. We will definitely be coming back here more often and I'm ashamed that we hadn't been sooner!

If you have never been to Lindy's, you definitely need to stop by. They have the best down home cooking I've ever had in my life. The wait staff is so friendly and the food is super delicious. Prices are definitely reasonable. You will find things here that you won't find anywhere else. I highly recommend they stuffed hash browns as well as the breakfast quesadillas.

Unfortunately, I can't remember my server's name, but she was great! It was another employee's birthday that day, and she was serenaded by a male customer that walked in at the same time I did, lol! As soon as he learned it was her birthday, he got everyone's attention and started singing... I joined in! It let me know that there was a great group of people that worked there. Excellent menu with a variety of great American style food. There was even a little tex-mex in there. Waitress was friendly & personable. Very reasonably priced. Nice, mixed crowd for lunch, but there was plenty of staff to handle the flow. Food was actually quite tasty and the place was clean. No complaints here other than it's a 2 hour drive for us to go there, lol. Wish there were more Lindys in the East Texas areas.

Lindy’s is that place! The pit stop you saw on tv sitcoms, the trucker hang out that your dad passed by on the family trips (he was looking for Sambos), the All American Diner serving All American foods from cheeseburger to chicken fried chicken. The menfolk in my family used to meet here annually and plan family get togethers, keep each other updated on health issues and sometimes even settle family disputes. Lindy’s became a familiar staple and long time meeting place. Lindy’s has some of the busiest and sweetest waitresses you will ever find, in any restaurant. The kitchen is capable and efficient, busting out the short order tabs pronto. You may see the church crowd here, you may see a couple of truckers here, traveling salesmen for sure and the occasional young love dining here. Young couples always stand out to my sight cause the guy often counts the money in his pocket twice before he orders. But prices here are reasonable and worthwhile, I don’t want to give you any other impression. Give Lindy’s a try, you won’t regret it.

This place reminds me of an Old School diner with great service and the food, is perfect. I asked for well done hash browns, and I got exactly that plus I ate them all. The bacon and Sausage Patties were also perfectly cooked. I will definitely stop by again next trip.

The daily specials are all great, the chicken-fried steak is one of the best I’ve ever had, and the pancakes, OH THE PANCAKES—definitely the best! Their sweet tea is about perfect, and the eggs have been cooked perfectly every time. I love this place, and tell everyone about it! The pricing is all very reasonable, also! YOU should eat here, but I warn you, it Is habit-forming!

Wife loves it here. She got the open face roast beef and mashed potatoes. 10.99 I got the chicken fried chicken. 13.99 You get 2 sides and rolls or cornbread. It’s a lot of food. Her looks like a small Chuck roast. 😆 And 2 pieces of chicken for me. Bring your appetite. Good southern cooking. The tea tasted bad though. Like fish water.

Had the cheeseburger and was the best burger I've ever had. The fries are homemade I believe, they were okay, would've liked them extra crispy. The place was packed and pretty much always is. Will definitely go back and try the breakfast menu.

We stopped by for the first time and will be back as often as possible! Our waitress was quick and nice, and she knew everyone’s name in the place. The food is very well priced. I got their big feast which comes with everything in the picture attached for $16.99. It took 2 to-go boxes to take all of my leftover food home. Last Friday was my First time here and wow I really enjoyed it! I’m not really a breakfast or pancake person but oh my goodness the biscuits and gravy were so good! And do not get me started on the pecan pancakes!! Best pancakes ever had hands down! This place was so comforting , so friendly, and just welcoming all around! From the staff to even the other customers! Waitresses and waiters that weren’t our would pass by just to say hi and talk with my baby, we love that! My only issue with this place is it had no baby changing station… I do feel every place should have one. I had to change my baby on the floor, thankfully I had my pull out changing station bag and extra blankets so it wouldn’t be so hard, but I did want to say thank you to the sweet Hispanic lady that was offering me help to change my daughter due to the inconvenience, she did not leave the entire time I was there making sure I didn’t need any help! I did not get her name but management you should find out who that was and give her a raise or at least recognition ! (This happened Friday morning around 10:30a-11:30a)

I've been here twice and the first time our waitress was awesome, this second time, the waitress we got was condescending and rude, she slammed my husband's drink on the table like throwing it at us. Food was great and host was great. Will be going back but will make sure I don't get that lady again.

Been here 4 times. Wife and I try something different each time. Only have had two complaints. Can't eat biscuits, extremely hard. Once had pancakes, couldn't eat. Grill had been cleaned before cooking but residue not cleaned off. Cakes tasted and smelled bad, like scouring pad. Otherwise everything great.

My order arrived in good time freshly prepared warm and delicious. I am very pleased with the entire experience and service. Update 2: I've returned again and ordered the same thing as above. The service was prompt, the order was of the same quality: freshly prepared and served at good temperature, excellent sweet tea, comfortable table seating for four.

We found this place online looking for a quick diner, and Instantly fell in love. A restaurant full of all walks of life and all ages all crushing Grandma's Breakfast!! We had 4 kids got served fast, food was great & service was awesome! This will be our new stop traveling through!

The parking lot generally has a lot of cars in it so we were curious. The staff was very friendly and kind. Went on a Friday at 9:30AM and we were seated immediately and had our food less than 15 minutes after ordering. The hash browns were crisp, the eggs were made as I ordered, and the biscuits were very soft. The gravy was pretty run of the mill but still good! The country fried steak was a bit chewy for my liking but I can’t complain cause my huge meal was $12.99. The Country Boy Favorite was a huge portion. We will be back but I’ll just tweak my order a bit. Wish there were more places like this nowadays!

People say huge portions - I wouldn't say that. Ordered catfish with mashed potato and turnips. Fish was a lot, potato was 1/2 cup and turnips I couldnt eat as it was bacon and boiled onion added. I was expecting just boiled turnips. Bread was very good but corn bread was dry and simply slipped through my fingers. Its a nice place to stop and eat when in the neighborhood - dont think I would drive to eat here from Dallas...

Food is great for the price! I asked for a medium steak and came out almost well done and the waitress took about 15-20 mins to check up on us. I was starving so I just ate it.

Lindy's has a nice off-the-beaten-path diner vibe even though it's right on the edge of Dallas. They have a friendly wait staff and low-key environment which suits the food fare. The Reuben sandwich was tasty and the homemade onion rings were stellar. Worth a stop if you're in the mood for a decent homestyle meal.

Cozy diner right off the highway. Had to wait a few minutes for seating since customers were paying but there was plenty of tables. Had the $9.99 lunch special: 1 choice of meat and 3 veggies. The meatloaf was slightly overcooked but the sides and rolls were delicious. Excellent service and polite staff! Can't wait to go again!

The young girl answering repeatedly hung up on us and was laughing about it. Sorry but had to take back the 5 stars after the this incident which was sadly not even the first time this has happened. 11/2022- new staff is soo much better. Thank goodness because this is the best place around for breakfast.

Food was below par (sausage was dry, biscuits were slightly hard, gravy was overly thick, chicken fry was tough, potatoes tasted like old grease). Only good thing was the service. The waitress was amazing! She didn't let our cups get empty.

Food is great, atmosphere is good, people are kind but don't know how to communicate well. I was told by an employee, they can't take call in orders after 1:30pm but can take walk ins. I drove 15 mins to get to the restaurant just for them to say no walk ins after 1:45pm. I wasted time and gas for absolutely nothing. Not a happy customer rn.

First, the staff here is great, the food is very good. The issue is if the owner is there. He is extremely rude and if you bring an empty yeti mug or similar he will tell you to take it back out and that its not allowed by code. Fine, I will take my mug and my business across the highway and to EVERY other business that does want my money. Never had any issue with a restaurant with my travel mug except for this one.

The food is absolutely wonderful However their system of seating people is Horrible, we have been several times and they allow people to be seated before us, this is a regular occurance and as much as we like the place we are almost ready to give our business to someone who actually wants it, because when we ask about people skipping they act as though they do not care, Lindys should do better in this part of their business

We were waited on by a gracious lady named Pam. We ordered the country fried chicken with gravy, home potatoes, scrambled eggs and a veggie omelet with hash browns and a large cup of orange juice. Also had a side of biscuits and gravy. The fried chicken didn't taste freshly made. Everything else tasted ok. Biscuits were soft!

I have wanted to try this restaurant since I moved in the area 2 years ago and I finally got the chance to. They are open in the mornings til about 2pm. The staff was friendly and made sure my drink was filled. I opted to get the chicken fingers with fries and fruit. Unfortunately for me I didn't like the chicken strips because they had no flavor at all, and the fries were not seasoned at all. The fruit cup was fresh and when the food did come out it was hot. Maybe I did not choose the right thing, but if the other menu items are like this as well then I would not recommend the place further

Unfortunately no flavor to my omelet. Had a sausage and cheese. Sausage was just crumble and put in a very dry almost crepe thin egg. Sausage had no flavor. Home fries were large chunks of potatoes that also had no seasoning. Just tasted the grease. Coffee was hot but was weak.

We've been going into Lindy's as a family for almost 20 years. This most recent time my burger was burnt. No big deal. I actually tried to eat it that way, but it was really bad so I asked if they could remake it. I got it remade. It came with no cheese. No big deal. They added a cold slice on top of my burger and it almost melted. A few bites in I noticed there was a hair in the burger. It didn't just fall onto the burger when it was being prepared. Gross, but things happen. No... this human hair was mixed into the meat. I almost didn't say anything but then asked if I could get the burger taken off of the meal. When the waitress asked why, i told her. She wasn't even surprised that my food had been tampered with. $3 was deducted from our total. $3 for a burned burger that was remade incorrectly AND tampered with. Our special family meal out was ruined. Stay away from this place. It's nothing like it used to be.

Found a cockroach cooked into my omelette. It fell out of the last bite as I went to pick it up off the plate to eat it. I pointed it out to the waitress and I wasn’t expected to pay for the meal, but I was unable to eat again that day. Sadly, I was a regular at the place and now can’t go back.

I also observed other arrested replating food coming out the window without gloves. Noticed one waitress touching home fries while replating them wipe her hands on her apron.

Picked up a funky urine smell in the lobby. Still gave it a chance and went in a separate room ( smelled better). The broccoli and cheese was so over cooked it slimed as I picked it up from plate. Old stale warmed rolls. WON'T BE BACK

I LOVED THIS PLACE it was my togo seriously! but oh my first off i ordered a chicken fried steak with mash potatoes i asked for the mash to have brown gravy instead i got brown chunky gravy on my cfs by the look at the meat i could most definitely tell there was something wrong the meat was so stiff and hard but i still tried it since they've never let me down but seriously i got severely burnt steak all i could taste is burnt bits in my mouth and i have the flu & strep !!! it was horrible!!
