First visit to Orchid Thai restaurant The restaurant was nicely laid out with attractive decor. We were greeted with a smile as we walked in and honestly, I like that very welcoming. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Really nice selection of dishes, served family style, so everyone was able to choose one... also very vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurant. The food arrived hot and was delicious! 100% recommend!
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. A hotel gift shop employee Sabrina recommended this place as her favorite Thai restaurant in town and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I haven't had Pad Thai in almost a year and im so glad that this was my next experience! They delivered exceptional service with a smile. They were very welcoming and I did not want to leave as the music selection was a WHOLE VIBE! GREAT ATMOSPHERE! I WILL BE RETURNING!🤗
I ordered their beef drunken noodles [spice level #4(out of 5)]. Loved it. Service was good.
Have been here now numerous times and it is good every single time! So far my friends and I have had fried rice, spring rolls, Thai teas, potstickers, drunken noodles, and the papaya salad, yellow curry, and a few cocktails. Everything is so so good! Absolutely recommend the papaya salad, yellow curry, and drunken noodles. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in anything you get. Their cocktails are also very good and you can sit at the bar. The restaurant is beautiful with lots of natural light, a good amount of seating, some outdoor seating, and it is connected to the ramen restaurant next door which is cool. The staff are friendly and nice. Definitely recommend!
The food is hot and delicious, the drinks reminded me of paradise. I've been twice and the service has been great both times. I will come back again!
AMAZING got the basil chicken (it's new on the menu), and it's probably the best I've ever had... the flavor was great, the vegetables were crisp and crunchy, and the portions were HUGE. I'll have to get it every time I go.
Second time being here. & it was lovely. I took my sister here and she instantly fell in love. Our servers Vicky and Chris was very nice and of course the food and appetizers came out delicious. I had the lemongrass salad but added both steak and shrimp and got it made medium hot. It came out nice and tasted wonderful. Also had the handmade spring-rolls which I wasn’t a big fan of but they were doable. Overall it was all lovely and we plan on coming back.
New to Sacramento and I've been to this place twice in two days! The Thai Tea (adult 🥴) is amazing! Easily one of my top 10 favorite drinks of all-time. The place has a dope vibe! The staff is really cool. I will definitely keep coming back and would tell my friends to check it out as well.
Orchid Thai Restaurant & Bar offers flavorful, well-balanced Thai dishes in a warm, inviting setting. The curries, stir-fries, and appetizers are fresh and aromatic, and the cocktails pair nicely with the menu. Service is friendly and attentive, making it a great spot for a relaxing, satisfying Thai meal.
The food is so good. I had the Yellow Curry and it was so fragrant and delicious. The area is lovely, parking is not too bad, the atmosphere inside is a little loud. But the food was so good I dont have anything to complain about. Don't forget to get a Thai Ice Tea!
Thai Orchard Restaurant is a great spot that was easy to enjoy whether stopping in for a quick meal, or planning something a little more relaxed. It has a comfortable feel that majes you want to stay a while. - Friendly service and never really crowded - Authentic Thai food with great flavor - Good atmosphere that is not too fancy and not too casual - Would be a good choice for a date - Convenient location just off Beltline with easy parking - Specials and unique Thai dishes that you do not find everywhere - Loved that they still have lunch specials Overall, the food was great and this is a place I will definitely visit again
This has got to be the best red curry I have ever had. Pad Thai was delicious. Ordered takeout as I was staying nearby. I could Not believe how great the red curry was. Perfect sweetness and spice, great flavour. Quick service. 10 out of 10.
My wife and I used to come here all the time for the past decade and she recently passed away on her honor. I came here and sat at our favorite table and enjoyed the atmosphere, they always have lively music playing, and it looks wonderful in here, and I especially like the elephants on the wall! The atmosphere is cleanwell spaced and well manicure! The service is impeccable and I love the food here because I think you actually get authentically designed Thai food, my favorite being Pad Kee Mao you can get it in many proteins and I love having it extra spicy Thai style so for me it’s never under spiced! My wife used to order the green curry with tofu and it’s very delicious. In fact all the curries are very delicious! And in her honor tonight, I had a plate of mango sticky rice and Service is just wonderful, attentive and accurate and considerate! I’ve been coming here for many many years and they’ve been doing this for a quarter of a century! And am I and was my wife very happy to have this place to come to especially when we lived in the north Dallas area, for us this was a happy place than it is a happy place to be! I really think this is a wonderful place for you to try and frequent and do many different foods here because they’re all very good and I think they’re completely out of the ordinary and have high excellence with their food their service and their atmosphere!
The portions were great! I got the pad see ew with both chicken and beef! I asked for medium spice (mild, medium, spicy) but it didnt really taste spicy at all. Would definitely go for the spicy next time! I'm used to a 1-5 spice level at thai restaurants so wasn't sure where "medium" fell in that scale (I should've asked). I definitely want to come back and try the massamun curry and thai fried rice next!
We tried this place one evening while in the area. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated. The server got our drink orders. When the server returned we order Larb Gai which was prepared to perfection and so tasty. I ordered Lard Na with chicken and my partner ordered Panang Curry with chicken. You have spice levels 1 to 5. The Lard Na with chicken was so delicious. The Panang Curry was delicious also and they bring you a lot of food. For dessert we tried the Mango Sticky Rice which was very delicious. The service was fantastic and found the server to be very helpful and attentive. We found the restaurant very clean as were the restrooms. This will be a regular stop for us when in the area.
Addison has so many great restaurants and we looked for something different while stopping in to visit our son who lives there. The reviews were great for Thai Orchid so we visited them around 8pm on a Monday night. The inside is beautiful! It takes you to the orient with the decor and ambience. It’s well decorated and the service was outstanding too! We were greeted by Ysa a very sweet young lady. She was also our server. I can’t say enough how about how polite, friendly and helpful she was to us through the entire dinner. So we opted for the Tom Ka soup and crab rangoon as an appetizer. We both love Tom Ka soup and feel that we know what to expect. Their version was without doubt the best Tom Ka soup I’ve ever tasted. It came out piping hot (extra points) and the flavors were amazing! We also loved the Rangoon and the crunch was spot on. My wife decided to try the yellow curry and I ordered Pad Woon Sen with seafood. She loved the yellow curry! I tried a sample and it was remarkable. Once again their food comes out piping hot which is always a great indicator of being freshly prepared. It stayed hot the entire meal too. My Pad Woon Sen was awesome! The flavors were great and the serving size was huge. We both took home leftovers. This was by far one of my best Thai experiences ever! Great job
Delicious food. We usually have leftovers, but this time, we cleaned the plates . Not as spicy as I hoped it to be, but overall, it's still good. We ordered the Orchid Sampler, Pad Gratien Pilk, Som Tom, and Pad Kee Mao. My favorite would have to be the Pad kee Mao. It wasn't the thick noodles we were expecting for, but the taste was exquisite. The sampler was a tad small, might have been better to order the other appetizers' dishes individually. The som tom did not have the spice level I was looking for, but it was tasty and fresh. Nice atmosphere, seemed a bit on the fancy side when walking in. Plenty of parking. Great service. Our waitstaff, Ivy, she was in training but is very knowledgeable on the food.
I’ve been here a couple times with my best friend and we always enjoy their food. Nice quiet ambiance for dinner. I’m glad their spicy levels are true Asian spice levels and not white washed . So a level 5 spice here is nose running spicy level which is what we look forward too lol. If you can’t handle Asian spice level get mild. It still has a kick but it’s bare-able for the western culture. We’ve ate almost everything on the menu. They’re very consistent with their food. We recommend everything.
My 1st visit here I brought my closest friend out to celebrate her birthday for dinner. I was so excited to try vegan Thai food. I noticed the place on Google a month earlier. The place is very nice and pleasant and situated downtown in a nice area. Our only issue was parking but it was still doable just a bit inconvenient. I'll elaborate later. So we arrived early enough to scope ou the area and parking. My friend parked on the other side of the park. I parked across the street ahead of the restaurant. We were seated immediately, there was no wait. The restaurant wasn't crowded but, also wasn't empty. We had good timing for arrival. The people began to come and the restaurant filled up more after we had been there for a short time. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The thing that threw me off was her knowledge about happy hour time and what drinks were available. When I 1st asked she made me believe it had ended at 6 and then when I about drinks she only offered 1 type. So I asked if she was sure because I saw sparkling wine 🍷 as an option on their website on Google. She went to ask someone else and not only did they tell her a variety of drink options & shots they told her that happy hour was until 7pm. I believe we had arrived close to 5:30pm. We took a while to decide and then we placed orders that included appetizers of tempura vegetables & vegan spring rolls. I ordered Thai vegetable fried rice and my friend ordered the vegetable pad Thai noodles. Our food was yummy and drinks were perfect. I had 2 Tequila shots and I think she had some type of ginger beer or something like that. They let her taste and choose what she preferred and I thought that was nice too because her drink was served in a tall glass. We had fun! We laughed, talked, and reminisced. She opened & loved her birthday gifts... I left a nice tip and we headed out. We wanted to walk around after dinner because the rain 🌧 had subsided but, parking proved to be too much of a challenge so we walked for 5 minutes and then we prepared to leave and then we left the busy downtown area and headed home. We definitely enjoyed the restaurant intend to come back and try more food and drinks but, we'll most likely ride together next time in 1 car to remedy the parking drama.
The sauces and textures are very good, especially in the stir fry but there is little to no heat flavor. This was most noticeable in the noodles where I expected it most. However, I do think it still works. The green curry didn't have very strong lime or lemongrass flavors and was majority sweet savory-ness from the coconut milk. But we still liked it. We ordered medium spiciness and any heat was not noticeable. When we ordered the curry with tofu they assumed we were vegetarian and asked if fish sauce was still ok, so they do seem accommodating.
I would say for my first time going because of my food preferences or taste bud the plate of food I choice was not what I'm usually into or what I like. So I don't want to go to low with the stars because I want to try other dishes. If you like sweet for food I do reccomend the "Pad Se Ew" (I don't like so much sweet for my food). Overall I would say food was decent bur I'd like to try other dishes next time.
The food Is really good, I did not feel that the food was 100% pure Thai food, but it was very tasty. Good table service. Prices are good fair, and good quantities of food in each dish. The decoration of the place is pretty nice. The good thing is that they close at 9,30 pm on week days that give you 30 minutes extra than the others restaurants in the area. I totally recommend it. Something really amazing is that the restaurant has a parallel vegetarian menu with all type of options. This us a pluss! Give it a try!
Great ambiance to enjoy well crafted Thai dishes. Many of the dishes are a twist on authentic Thai. Try the red curry seafood and fried salmon for interesting flavors. Service is good as well. Two pieces of feedback for the restaurant: Clean the dish with the chillies on the table, on our table and next to ours they were all dirty. Reconsider the live singer, the guitar player was untalented and his singing out of tune. The music is also too loud.
If you’re in the mood for Thai and you’re in the area, this is a good spot. The portions are good and plates are ideal for sharing! We got the spring rolls and pad Thai and shared between two people and it was filling. We also got the Thai tea which was very delicious. The staff were also very friendly and the food was prepared quickly. We were there later at night and it was quieter than the busy lunch and dinner hours.
This was a takeout order for dinner. I ordered Tom Yum Fries, Edamame, Beef Red Curry, Yum Nua Beef Salad, and for dessert- Mango with Sticky Rice. I was able to call the restaurant directly to order my meals. The person who handled the call was easy to understand and very friendly. I waited in the parking lot until my order was ready in about 15 minutes. The food was hand delivered to my car which was great! The food was traditional Thai cuisine and hit the spot! The food can be adjusted to the spice level that you are most comfortable with. The dessert was perfect! This is definitely on my list for takeout when you are wanting something better than fast food for dinner.
I recently dined at this Thai restaurant and overall, it deserves a solid 4-star rating. The veg fried rice was absolutely delicious, packed with flavorful ingredients that left me craving for more. The pad see ew was another standout dish, bursting with delectable flavors. I also highly recommend trying their mouthwatering spring rolls. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, adding to the overall dining experience. However, the only disappointment was the Thai satay, as it lacked flavor and was rather bland.
I got the massaman curry and it had very little flavor. It just tasted like salt? I could t taste any cinnamon or cardamom. Also, you have to purchase rice separately which is so weird to me because I don’t know anyone who eats curry without rice? I would recommend a different spot if you’re looking for a good massaman curry!
I was craving Thai food and decided to try Thai Orchid. The restaurant was small but cozy. I loved the plum wine on their menu. I had the Teriyaki Chicken for my entree. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. The sauce was flavorful. I appreciated the neat presentation as well. I will defintely be going back. When you get a chance , check out Thai Orchid. Don’t forget to tell them that Guilty P sent you. 😉
I called in and placed the online order. I come here all the time I usually have an enjoyable experience however today Lizeth was very rude and unpleasant said I couldn't order water with my meal it would take her a couple seconds to make so tell whoever is ringing me up. I ordered pad Thai mixed veggies no protein I get home to pad Thai with chicken and tofu when I called to tell them A Alejandro answered said he was the manager said he's been working there for over ten years and pad Thai always has tofu you have to request it off. Which is a lie, and even if that was true, I still have chicken on my food And ordered only vegetables told me I would need to bring it back and he can remake it but I just drove 20 minutes. Was speaking as if I'm doing him a disservice because he made my food wrong.
I love Thai food but from my experience, I been here twice and the food is not great how it should be. The place is pretty but overall overpriced and the food does not feel real authentic. It lacks the real Thai flavors. The service is probably the worse thing, honestly the whole team needs to be retrained or just hire a new staff. The employees need to be trained like they work at a restaurant with 20-30 a plate. In and out was better service & that’s just sad because it’s a beautiful restaurant and the employees are not trained correctly. Servers on theirs phone, distracted, having load personal conversations. Very unprofessional. If you are looking for an overall good experience maybe try another place.
Food was really good but I was on a date night with my husband and we decided to sit at the bar. Half way through our meal a homeless man came in and started asking us for money and the bartender stood there and didn’t do anything. It was very uncomfortable so after a few minutes we said we would buy him something. Finally he said can you wait outside. He kept coming back in and saying it’s taking too long and was irritable and was making us very uneasy. Still they did nothing. They charged us for the food we ordered him out of discomfort and didn’t even apologize and when we asked they said he does this everyday. Wow will not be back. You had us feeling so uncomfortable.
If I could leave no stars I would. I had one of the worst experience at this restaurant I’ve ever encountered dining. I ordered two plates of food. Only one plate of food was brought out. Then without any communication our servers changed and our food took 45 mins. Me and my friend reminded our waiter two times. Our new server didn’t speak English well. Mind you not all are food came out.5-10 mins through me and my friend eating the first plate brought out to us the waiter brings the check with both plates on the tab and I was only served one. I notified the waiter she brings the second plate and smiles with the tab. The feeling was very uncomfortable. I didn’t even argue I paid and left. I will never return to this restaurant. It felt very discriminatory. This was very uncomfortable for me and my guest. We were overcharged, belittled, and frankly mistreated. I will firmly stay away from establishments like this and I would warn others. I was charged for food that was sitting and I didn’t even touch. No integrity as a restaurant.
