Opinions de The Crafty Irishman Dallas
First, the interior has really nice seating. Love the snugs on the wall, big tables, lots of TVs and comfy bar stools. The wood decor is great. Excellent beer and liquor selection, even deepcuts like fine bourbons, Powers whiskey and great guiness pours. The Grilled Cheese and that soup were divine! Mac and cheese with the sausage was really good, but that grilled cheese stole the show! The service was great, can't complain. It did get loud when a big crowd of people got rowdy, but its a saturday night in an irish pub during sports season in Downtown Dallas.
5 out of 5. Amazing food, service, and drinks. Appetizer was out within 10 minutes of ordering. Dinner quickly followed. Irish nachos were great. And the Bangers and Mash were phenomenal, with a great amount of food.
Headed to a Mavs game and decided to eat here first. Wow! What a great selection of food and drinks! We had the Shepard’s pie and the fish and chips. Both were remarkable. Service was fantastic and our server, V was great! Definitely look forward to coming back again.
Such an awesome Irish pub!!! It has all the charm, warmth and ambiance one would expect without the old, ragged feel some pubs have. This place is crisp and clean! We had the Irish stew, which is apparently a winter special. It was superb to say the least. The server was also really friendly and helpful.
Delicious Irish food and drink, with maybe the best ice cream you will ever have. I had scotch eggs followed by fish 'n chips, topped off with Irish bread ice cream. The scotch eggs were a fantastically new flavor experience and I'll be back for more. The fish 'n chips were deep fried but so light and fluffy with excellent flavor that required no condiments. And, if you like ice cream then you must check this place out!
Stuck in Dallas because of the ice storm. By far the best thing that happened was walking in this place. Awesome looking Irish Pub decor and the bartender Jess went above and beyond to help me with suggestions, directions and great service overall. Blown away that I decided to leave my first ever review.
Very cool place! Victory park needed something like this. Decent price for area. Burger could use some more seasoning but overall good. Krissy was a great server from the moment we walked in! Will be back.
The food and atmosphere here is unbeatable. We came here on Christmas with two wild boys fresh off an 2 hour flight and the staff were supportive and laughing at our kiddos as the were running and break dancing on the empty patio to get their wiggles out as my husband and I took turns supervising them. The food was phenomenal. The fish and chips were some of the best I’ve had!
I am writing to offer a glowing recommendation for The Crafty Irishman Public House in downtown Dallas. My recent visit there was nothing short of spectacular, solidifying its place as a must-visit spot for anyone seeking a true taste of Ireland coupled with outstanding American fare. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of cozy Irish pub and lively downtown hotspot. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. For my meal, I had the pleasure of devouring the Irish American Burger, and it was a revelation. The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the toppings were a brilliant fusion of classic pub elements with a unique twist that made it stand out. It's a burger I'll be dreaming about until my next visit. My wife, equally delighted, ordered the Monte Cristo. It was a masterpiece—a golden-fried delight with the perfect balance of savory ham and turkey, all complemented by a dusting of powdered sugar. She couldn't stop raving about how it was one of the best she's ever had. Beyond the food, the drink selection was impressive, and the overall vibe of the place was exactly what you hope for in a great pub—friendly, inviting, and full of character. The Crafty Irishman Public House is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The quality of the food, the warmth of the staff, and the charming ambiance make it a true gem in the heart of Dallas. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal and a fantastic time. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Sincerely, A very satisfied customer"
A nice Irish pub in Downtown Dallas. I had the scotch egg appetizer and bangers and mash entree, while my brother enjoyed a burger. Both hit the spot; in particular the bangers were very juicy, and combined with the gravy and mashed potatoes made for an excellent savory bite of food. My wife recommended this restaurant, and I would definitely return if I was in town.
Loved the happy hour pub pretzels! Those and the brown bread ice cream are not to be missed in my opinion. The Irish mule was really refreshing with a nice spice from the ginger. I was so excited about the scotch eggs based on the pictures, the eggs were cooked perfectly but the sausage on the outside ended up a little hard and dry.
A great vibe in the heart of downtown. The pub definitely resembles one in a small Irish town. The entire experience was wonderful. The waitress was absolutely the bees knees. She had a wonderful smile, warm personality, made recommendations and was constantly checking the table. The food was very good with good portions and very reasonable pricing. I had the pretzels as an appetizer, chicken tikka masala for my entree and banana cinnamon rolls as dessert. Everything was very good but the dessert was very unique and simply delicious. A caramelized banana wrapped in a churro. The entire experience was exceptional and I'll definitely be back.
The only reason I visited this place was because we left The Hampton Social due to waiting over 30 minutes for someone to ask us about drinks and starters. The Crafty Irishman definitely delivered 5 star food, service, with a great pub atmosphere. I had a Guinness beer and it was so refreshing. I also had an Irish American Burger and it was a pretty huge patty with melted Irish Cheddar, crispy bacon, and toasted buns. It was by far one of the most satisfying burgers I’ve had this 2025. I highly recommend this place if you want a good atmosphere, great food, and the best customer service downtown. The Crafty Irishman is 100X better than the Hampton Social.
Review of The Crafty Irishman – Downtown Dallas The Crafty Irishman is a hidden gem in downtown Dallas, offering old-world charm in a cozy, intimate setting. This small, quaint pub has an inviting atmosphere, with warm wood accents, classic Irish decor, and a welcoming feel that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The outdoor patio is a great spot to enjoy the lively city vibe while still feeling tucked away in a little European-style escape. I ordered the Granddad whiskey drink, which was smooth, well-balanced, and perfect for sipping. But the highlight of the meal was the pub curry, served with crispy French fries. The curry had a deep, rich flavor with just the right amount of warmth and spice, coating each bite in a comforting, savory sauce. Pairing it with fries was a genius move, making every bite indulgent and satisfying. If you’re looking for a place with character, great drinks, and hearty, flavorful food, The Crafty Irishman delivers. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick pint or lingering over a meal, it’s a spot that captures the true essence of a classic Irish pub.
Oh my god! Everything we ordered was sooooooooo amazing! Egg nog flights were very authentic, tastes exactly like their names (gingerbread, dark chocolate orange, cookies and cream, Irish coffee). And scotch eggs and fish and chips were great. Easily the best fish and chips we’ve had so far… (their chips are insane!) We also order bread pudding, which was at just the right temperature and the right amount of sweetness :) We’re definitely coming back when we’re visiting Dallas again!
This place quickly became my favorite restaurant, earning a solid 5/5 rating across the board! The service, ambiance, food, and drinks were simply outstanding. Service: The staff was excellent, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Drinks: I highly recommend the seasonal plum cocktail—it was a delightful treat! Food: The highlight of my meal was the Monte Cristo, which was unbelievably delicious. Made with smoked turkey, ham, Wexford Cheddar, and Swiss cheese on sourdough, it’s beer-battered and fried, then dusted with powdered sugar and served with raspberry preserves. The presentation was stunning, and I couldn't resist sharing it with everyone at the table. They all agreed it was the best sandwich they had ever tasted! Overall, The Crafty Irishman is a must-visit for anyone in Dallas. I can't wait to go back!
Recent visit: arrived around 11:30 pm on a Friday night and was seated immediately. Place wasn’t crowded. Ordered fish & chips and corned beef and cabbage rolls. Food was tasty just like my previous visit. By the time we left the place was packed. Ben provided crazy good service. See you next time Ben and thank you! Good food, service and ambiance. Parking can be a problem as most places in downtown Dallas.
Amazing food!! Parking is a pain. Small area with lots of drink options. My friends and I ordered the cabbage and corned beef rolls. They are egg rolls that taste amazing. The cheese curds were delicious. There was a spicy kick to it, which made them better. We also ordered the tomato basil and baked potato soup. Comes with brown bread that is so soft. Both soups were great. The main dishes I came for were the scotch eggs and fish and chips. Scotch eggs were soft with runny eggs cooked to perfection. Best I've had. The fish and chips were to die for. To end the dinner, we ordered bread pudding. I can't even describe how soft and delicious that was. Everything was fresh and hot. When I say I'm glad I live so far away from this place, or I'd be so fat from eating there every day. Definitely recommend this place!

The Crafty Irishman is a gem in downtown Dallas. Incredible food and great atmosphere! It's the perfect place to go after a late night.
Nice bar. Good food and drinks. I got the pretzel and had it with some drinks. Lots of TVs, we were there to watch Texas play and it didn't disappoint. Great staff.

Top notch service and the food is so good. I had their nachos and added guac. It was really good. I love that. It was actual potatoes chips not just crisps. All their drinks are so good.

Awesome place. We ended up coming here twice during our visit. The first was for happy hour and appetizers. Derek took great care of us. Our second visit was for dinner. The Cashel burger …
TL;DR: Real Irish pub vibes, legit late-night food, rare red ale on draft, and kind staff doing the work of three people. Not for influencers—just people who love good beer and better bar food. The Crafty Irishman is hands down my favorite of the local Irish pubs downtown. It’s the kind of place that neighboring bars recommend when you ask where to eat past 10pm. That’s not a review—that’s a badge of honor. The food? Way better than it needs to be. Fish and chips, scotch (fried) eggs, hearty classics—comfort food done right. But the real gem? The imported red ale on draft. Not something you see often, and it’s worth the trip alone. Pair it with one of their beer-and-chaser combos and you’re winning. The place is cozy, casual, and actually feels like a pub—not some Instagram thirst trap with crazy cocktails. Service can be a little slow (one server doing the Lord’s work), but they’re friendly, know their stuff, and make it feel like a neighborhood hangout. No frills, no filters—just great food, great beer, and even better pub energy.
Good service and ambience. Also food was great. This was our second time here adn we had a great time.
Went to eat there on Thursday, June 26th. The food was great, ambiance was great but the service was lacking. I had to wait longer than I would have expected to get my check so I could leave.
Called in for a pint of Guinness which turned out to be pretty decent, especially compared to some of the others we had in the states. Not sure I’d try any of the blended beer options. Nice atmosp…
A fun pub, with good food, and excellent service. We were there during happy hour, and so enjoyed a discount on drinks and some food items.
This is a decent downtown dallas bar. It's a bit of a dive and doesn't have anything super special about it.\n\nThey do have good beers on draft but their cocktail game is lacking. Not surprising, gi…
My husband would likely add one more star because he really enjoyed his Reuben and he has had a lot of Reubens. My shepherd’s pie was good but not the best I’ve had.
Went at 3.00pm for HH and we sat inside. The drinks menu for HH is fairly limited unfortunately,I went with the Irish red beer and my wife had a chardonnay. What was nice was the food on offer,…
Food and service were okay; would not go back. Burger bun was either stale or over-done, gave up trying to eat it.
