The food and drink was good. The smash burger is a great price. The service is great as well. They have s friendly atmosphere allowing you to bring your pets with you to the outside bar. Will definitely return again.

Great late night bar, live music inside, good drinks and cool outside venue. Lots of friendly people and they have two seperate bars in one. Inside venue for music and a LARGE outdoor patio for kicking with friends. Service is good, but they could use another bartender on staff for Friday and Saturday nights

12/24: Great happy hour specials, runs 4 to 7 PM. Includes drink specials and eight dollar appetizers. Tends to be a little busy and the staff is super friendly, just a little slow at times because they’re either short staffed or overwhelmed. They do a good job of checking in on you during your stay and really are happy to help make your experience enjoyable. Tuesday is BOGO burger day, any burger on the menu. Thursday is $10 Smashburger day and the portion size is a great value. Recommend the chicken lemongrass potstickers, Korean barbecue boneless wings and pretzel bites. There are various events throughout the week including karaoke, live bands, and other events. My one and only complaint is that it smells like stale beer in there, they really should give the fabric on the booths a good cleaning as well as maybe the carpet. Overall, a great neighborhood spot, consistently solid food and drink offerings, and hospitable customer service. 2023: Stopped by for lunch on a Tuesday. Burgers are BOGO - any burger on the menu. We ordered two burgers and told them we were going to share because they all looked so good. The Irish burger was fantastic and the bun on the pretzel burger was delicious! Don’t forget to get a side or ranch with your fries. When served they brought out each burger on its own plate cut in half with fries. Great play by the kitchen and serving staff. They were kind, friendly, and genuinely appreciated our business. Will be back!

Reasons why I like Hennessy's. 1. It's comfortable and relaxing. 2. Live music. Sunday with Flock of the 80's can't be beat. 3. Nice draft beer selection. Good drink prices. 4. Servers and bartenders are friendly. The food here is pretty average really, but I'm mostly going here to unwind, have a few drinks with the wife and not think about anything else. That's why it's nice and it gets five stars. Edit Nov. 2022 - no more Flock of the 80s, but the rest of this review is still valid! Love a mid-week visit during Happy Hour! Edit May 2023 - added updated menu photos Edit Sept. 2024 - The wings here could be so much better. Served on a bed of fries, they kind of "splash" on the wing sauce instead of fully tossing the wings in sauce. Every once in a while I'll order them to see if they've changed their ways but usually I end up being slightly disappointed. Message to management: Ditch the fries, include more wings and toss the wings fully in sauce. Also, the dressing dip containers are on the small side.

Let’s be honest, you go here to drink not eat. And if you do eat here, it’s only bc you’ve thrown a few back and you’re starting to get the munchies. They have a large indoor dining room with a bar but every time I’ve been here it’s rather sedate. The outdoor patio is where it’s at. They have a full bar, TV’s, sports, vibes, and all the goods. We did get nachos which are pretty basic but good. To reiterate, just go for the bar and booze.

One of our favorite places in Dana Point, for sure the food is great and the service is superb. Sunday night football specials are excellent for sure! Very spacious restaurant with sitting inside and outside, daily specials and live music too. Plenty parking spaces.
