I loved this place! Now take in to account I was in the area visiting friends so this is a true out of towner review. It was also my first time here, and hopefully not my last! First let's start with the food. We ordered their take on nachos which, let me tell you, was amazing. The chips were actual in house potato chips instead of tortilla chips and boy were they loaded. Two of us split it as a starter and entree because it was so large. We didn't even fight over toppings because there was no lack of toppings there. Secondly the service. We sat outside thanks to covid but man what a nice place to sit. The roadway nearby wasn't loud or noisy there was a great breeze and it was shaded. The servers were super friendly and responsive. We always had drinks but didn't felt hovered over at all. All in all highly recommend this spot on your future nights out or trips through the area!
Popular hang out. Went on a Saturday in September to get take out. Was crowded inside and out. This time got take out pizza with mushrooms and veggies. Pizza was great fresh and as left overs. Irish chips are also good, but you need a crowd for the Irish nachos or you will get a tummy ache. Never had a need meal... They are good at basic pub good. Only complaint is pick up for take out was inside near the door, so distancing was difficult. Was too close to dining room where people were eating without masks. Played trivia in before-times, and will go back when it is safe.
What a find! We were out leaf peeping and stumbled upon this adorable pub with lots of outdoor seating, a big bar scene (excellent home-made bloody mary) great food (hand-cut fries, yummy salad & sandwich) and friendly service. It's right in the heart of adorable Delmar, so if you're passing through after apple picking, stop in at Swifty's.
My girlfriend and I had corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day. It was so good we went back 2 days later and did it again. I'm 66 years old and it was the best I've ever had. Including my mother's. I'm hoping that we don't have to wait a whole year to have it again. By the way the buffalo burger is also outstanding. Thanks Swifty's
Swifty's in Delmar usually hits the spot. There's great pub food and the atmosphere is fun. The best time of the year is when it's warm enough for them to have outside seating. The beer selection is extensive and well priced. Food is usually good but there have been a few items I didn't like so I'll just avoid those. I recommend the wings, Reuben, and nachos. Try the nachos with their pulled pork.
Homemade, fresh food and I went with a classic shepherd's pie here. Which I admit was a different flare than my traditional Irish catholic gram would make us but still very very good in its own right and quite possibly traditional in other regions. This had a sweeter almost molasses twang to it with beef, lamb and carrot and delectable whipped potatoes baked till golden or salamander style. I'll be back next time and see what else is on this gem of a place. Fair price, good food & service
Great atmosphere. Staff is friendly, music at perfect low volume, and food is good. Prices are very reasonable. They have gluten free options. Live music consisting of one /two acoustic guitars a couple nights a weeks.
This is our go to place for a nice cozy feel for Dinner. Everyone here is friendly and the food is pretty good. After a bike ride this is a great place to come for some food and drinks. In the warmer months its a great place to eat because of the outdoor seating.
Solid food, impressive salads (even the salmon is done well), and a great place to eat outdoors much of the year. Unfortunately, it's no secret, so often crowded. The service is friendly but always slow, sometimes painfully, so plan ahead.
Great place to eat, love being outside an in.
Swifty's is one of the best neighborhood bar & restaurants in Delmar located at the Four Corners. It is always busy which reflects on how good they are. The food is great from Pizza to sandwiches and their signature appetizers such as Irish nachos & Irish spring rolls. There is both a bar area & sit down area & in the summer the patio is usually packed, sometimes w/ live music. We recently went there for a birthday dinner so our small group ranged in age from 25 to 80 and we all enjoyed it.
A great place with good people +30 years old, though youngsters are welcome to, Swiftys has a terrific beer selection and the food is always tasty. This is a welcoming home town bar where people are quick to start up a conversation whether you are a regular or a one-time visitor. The outside seating is a great space to enjoy the weather if you're in the mood for some sun, or seating inside offers the bar side or a separate dining side. Bring some friends and have some fun at the bar that everyone in Delmar knows.
Love swiftys! We love to go in the nice weather and eat outside. It’s got a great menu. Something for everyone. Love the Ruben spring roll appetizers. Great salads and wraps too!
I love the food it was super delicious and I was so impressed my order was exactly what I asked for. There were no mistakes even though I asked for a special order. I would recommend Swifty's and give it five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤗
Excellent lunch. The French fries are the best!! Ruben size was just right. Not too big but generous meat portion Lot of outdoor seating.server very accommodating.
I know I've reviewed them before but I had to do it again. The food never disappoints! Beer selection is fantastic as well. The Swifty's Buffalo burger is still my favorite ever, not to mention the Irish nachos or Reuben spring rolls. Staff is always friendly and no matter how busy they are the wait never is that bad. Grab a beer while you wait!
Stopped by for drinks. Extremely accommodating. Friendly staff. Thanks for the good time.
Great menu - even for gluten free! We went there with another family after a hockey game and we had plenty of room to sit together. Everyone enjoyed their food - kids and adults. The service was a bit slow but otherwise excellent.
Really good live music. Great burgers (OMG don't forget about Andrew's Burger Shed!, same owner). Not a "pizza" place, but their pizzas are consistently excellent. My local favorite pizza (sorry Romo's, you're great...but not every time). Oh yeah, they have beer.
Clean, spacious and casual , lovely outdoor seating ideal of a sunny summer day. Courteous, friendly and efficient staff. Delicious meals, wide variety and great portion sizes.
Our family has eaten at Swifty's Delmar for years. Always found it to be a friendly, welcoming place. The staff know how to make folks feel at home. Food is consistently outstanding. The burgers are tops. Likewise the Sides, especially coleslaw, onion rings and sweet potato fries. Prices are reasonable for food and drinks. A great place to enjoy family and friends.
Great restaurant and bar. They have a large outdoor seating area that is completely rented in and a bigger parking lot. Inside is a nice space with a bare and multiple TV’s. The staff are very friendly and are great with there recommendations. The menu is bigger and the food is great. The beer selection is also vast. Great summer spot, with occasional live music.
I love this place! Sophie and Eden are AMAZING!!! The food is really good. And I feel very welcome. If you love a pub, this is the place!!!
Food is always good! Outside tent is dog friendly, love eating there in good weather with my pup!
We did the outdoor seating. Quick and great service. Food was very good. Had the swifty's sampler appetizer, the Reuben rolls are so good. Friendly staff. Good choice of food options on the menu.
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. It's your stereotypical Irish Pub atmosphere but it is very cozy, clean, and the food was great. The servers were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We weren't drinking this night but we noticed that the bar looked inviting.
This was my second visit to Swifty's, and, once again, it did not disappoint! I had the Autumn Chopped Salad and it was a perfect blend of flavors. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it. She shared a bite with me and omg... so good. Service was top notch. Greeted us promptly, pleasant, and timely with everything we ordered. We feel fortunate to have Swifty's in our town.
Food was great. I got a regular hamburger with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bread plus fries. They also had sweet potato fries too! The hamburger was really good, cooked to order. They are known for their fish fry!
I think Swiftys is great. I always get a salad and really appreciate that they have plant-based chicken bc no other place in Bethlehem does. Salads are great and lots of options for kids to eat too!
Some of the best food I've had in a really long time! The chicken schnitzel was so crispy, waffle fries were perfect, and the pretzles with beer cheese was the perfect app. My boyfriend loved his reuben too! Our server matt was also very nice. Great dinner. Will definitely be back.
UPDATE: Met some friends for lunch today at the Delmar location, and our server was highly attentive and courteous. We were a small group and sat in a booth in the back dining area. We ordered the mac & cheese, fish & chips, a chicken sandwich, and the cob salad with grilled chicken. As usual, the food was absolutely delicious! The Delmar venue is quite a bit smaller than the one on Everett Road. The noise easily carries throughout the space and all that laughter and chatter from others completely surrounds you. So if you want a quiet, intimate place, this is not what you're looking for. However, if you want a place where you can catch up with your buddies, have a few drinks and eat yummy food, then look no further. Ordered take-out. Our food was ready on time as promised, even though the place was packed (dinner time on Friday night) and our meal was so delicious.
Great food and excellent service! Ordered a burger and Irish onion soup, great combo!
Great little spot in Delmar. Stopped in for a bite on our way home, and got the roasted red pepper, spinach and artichoke bisque and Irish onion soup, Bavarian pretzels and waffle fries. Super busy place, but there was a seat for us right away. Excellent soup and appetizers. Will definitely go back for dinner.
I’m a vegetarian so there weren’t too many options for me, but I could eat that beyond burger every day and never get sick of it. The fries were crisp and well seasoned. I can’t wait to have another lunch there!
Really cool place. Sat outside with my wife and daughter. We really enjoyed the food, and our waitress was top-notch. The menu was extensive, and we can't wait to go back and try something else.
Nice community atmosphere here. They've got a great tent set up for outdoor dining. Lots of families and friends meeting up. Couple people riding bikes there. Got the appetizer sampler and the fried green beans, both were great. I got the French dip sandwich and my wife got the hamburger, both really good. I like the hand cut fries that come with it.
Here now 2/9/26. this is my first time here and I truly love the food and everything else you have to come here. I read it five stars on all fronts.!!!!
Excellent food, excellent service and they play classic rock ‘n’ roll here. I’m glad I’m here.
Yeah! Open again! Just really good bar food and staff always super nice. We mostly use the Albany but did just eat at Delmar. Nice beer selection, simple good bar food, healthy servings. Always worth going in for comfortable dining, nice staff, good food with cold beer!
First off… I got the warmest welcome. As an Irish girl in an Irish pub I appreciate that! My boyfriend (not Irish) and I had to drive 3 & 1/2 hrs up for a ticket at the Court. We sat in the pub, and had the most AMAZING service from the blue eyed gentleman. You know who you are! I ordered the broccoli cheese soup, he got the onion. Not one disappointed on it at all. I had the Parm wings… AMAZING! He had the Reuben, it was all he’s been talking about about; and we should have got him one to go! The macaroni salad y’all offer is BEYOND delicious! I’m so picky about it, and it was my boyfriend’s side dish. Don’t miss on that. You want Fries just get those in the side. Nice steady local crowd and listening to the locals talk was a joy. I may have learned some things. If you’re ever even close to this place stop. I promise you, you’ll not be disappointed. They also have a great playlist! Thanks to all of you for 2/3/26! 🫶
Wonderful restaurant! I got one of their Pizzas, and it was scrumptious. The staff are very friendly, and there are a lot of options on the menu to choose from. Great local restaurant and I highly recommend if you are visiting or live here and haven’t gone yet.
3 of us visited yesterday, my first time there but my friends had been before. Having reopened after the closure we found a warm atmosphere, great selection of draft and bottled beer and cider. The bar person {Sophie] was really friendly and helpful telling us about the styles of beer they had on tap. My nephew got a Rubin sandwich and some really tasty chips. But here is an important heads up. When settling the bill we handed her a credit card and were told it was cash only for the time being. There was a sign on the door which we missed though it was right in front of us as we entered. Good news though was that they have an ATM in the bar, the bad news was that it wouldn't take our card. While trying to figure out how to pay the bill a customer told Sophie she was going to pay the bill and wished us happy Christmas. It wasn't a small bill. We made sure that we could pay her back and intend to visit with some cash. Wow can you believe that a person would do that for a stranger! Putting aside the issues the company has at the moment our experience was a wonderful day having some great beer and food. Well worth a visit with friends and family.
Swifty’s has some really. Bomb pizza! If you like the taste of quality ooey gooey creamy mozzarella in your than you’ll love this. Pepperoni’s were roni’ing every slice was covered.
Amazing local place. Great brews and food. Staff is always amazing and friendly.
Great food, portions, atmosphere and top it off with a lovely staff! Def will be back next time I'm in town.
Stopped by for a quick lunch with my wife. We split the house burger and had the Reuben Spring Rolls. The would was great, burger was cooked a perfect med rare. The spring rolls are the best Reuben Spring rolls I’ve ever had. All of that justifies the 5 stars, but I wish I could add another star for the service. When I mentioned we were splitting the burger they offered to split it in the kitchen for us. Small gesture, but greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back.
I've been here probably 8 times now and have never been disappointed. Today my family of 4 came for lunch so parking was easy and we were seated right away. All staff we encountered were pleasant. Atmosphere is divey but not dirty. My kids had large meals of chicken fingers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings with an ice cream cup for a very reasonable $7.99. My husband and I always get the delicious Reuben spring rolls. I had the French onion soup and mushroom and arugula salad with salmon added. In the past the salad has come with fried mushrooms but today it was fried cauliflower. I prefer the fried mushrooms (it is a mushroom salad after all) and just personal choice but the cauliflower was still ok. My husband loves the fish and chips and the tartar sauce is delicious. We all left with plenty of leftovers. We will continue to go and to get takeout. One of our favorite local spots!
Had a lovely time getting together with friends at Swifty's outside dining. The tables were reasonably far apart and had hand sani on each one. The service was on point and the food was excellent. I was particularly impressed with the fish and chips, with tartar sauce made with capers, my favorite!
We had a great meal at Swifty’s yesterday. Our server was attentive and heLpful in what to eat and drink. Despite being in a pandemic, we had an enjoyable time at Swifty’s. Getting out of the house is important, and dinning at Swifty’s was a great break. I highly recommend this local Delmar bar and restaurant.
Great food, burger was a little undercooked but still a great burger. Had a Buffalo burger, beer battered deep friend burger with mild Buffalo sauce and some ranch. Service was top notch and drinks were properly made. Only gets 4 stars due to confusing trying to locate the parking lot and the prices were a bit on the heavy handed side.
My favorite lunch place, when I'm in the area. The staff is sweet, and accommodating. The food is great I've tried most of the menu, and only a couple of times have i been disappointed.... The place is very cosy, and is always full of people 😊 The only thing you have to consider if you go there, is that something ist very busy, and will take you a long time.
We got take out, place was over packed when we got there and the staff tried their best but there were too many people in and out for such a very tiny place. Food was very good though, considering, it was just not done on time.
Sat outside on a nice summer afternoon. Excellent food and service. 2 of us ordered the Cobb salad and veggie sandwich. Both were excellent. Worth a visit.
It was a group of six and we had a 25 minute wait time due to the bar and restaurant being packed. The food was good service fast, dinning area is very small taking that one star away for being cramped. I would recommend making the trip if you're in the mood for pub style food. I will revise in the future.
Nice, relaxed restaurant and bar. Good beer selection. Good sandwiches and burgers and also some more expensive dinner options. Most sandwiches, etc are in the ten dollar range. Good service. It's a popular place so sometimes there's a wait at dinner time.
Nice little small town pub. It was recommended to be by a friend whose family is in the restaurant business so the bar is already set high. They have a tent out on the terrace in the summer time which is where we sat. The service is a little slow. But I'm not going to say that's always a bad thing. We were able to relax and talk and reflect on our day. It was less pub food and more proper restaurant food. Would definitely return.
Nice menu, kid friendly options, comfort foods
Pretty good place! Tons of outdoor seating available, and the food was above average for a pub. Service was okay, not stellar, but I recognize they looked a little understaffed. Also, the parking situation was weird, their lot was very small and full so we didn't know where to park, and they only have a sign for an alternate lot posted very small by the door. All said, I'd probably go back again.
Not exaggerating...THE BEST BURGER ever! The Mrs. and I love our burgers and beer. The Buffalo Burger is a beef burger, cooked, then quickly deep fried and coated in buffalo sauce just like wings. The best part is that a burger ordered medium still comes out medium! Sitting on a bar stool watching the game with Swifty's burgers and beer...hard to beat it. The owner is super nice and is in the restaurant regularly. He seems to take the quality of his services very seriously. We appreciate his attentiveness. The bar service can be a little slow at times, but, it is a very popular place and typically busy, especially when a game is on. So, it is to be expected.
Food was great, waitress delightful and outside sitting area beautifully decorated with lovely flower boxes. The only complaint is that because restaurant is at such a busy intersection, it's too bad some sort of noise barrier can't be erected to block some if the traffic noise. There were times when it was hard to hear my companions.
My husband and I went to Swifty's Albany last night. This was our first time eating at any of the Swifty's Pubs. I ordered the Jack Burger, well done. It came back rare. Our waitress brought it back to the kitchen and they brought back a fresh burger that was also rare. The hostess/manager brought it back to the kitchen one again and on the 3rd try it came back well done. I appreciate the wait staff trying to make it right, but I lost my appetite by the time I got the burger back without any pink. It was also very hard to eat the burger because the "sauce" was more like a maple syrup consistency and it was all over the outside of the bun. The fries were very good, though. My husband had the Pub Melt, which he said was good. I usually don't write reviews, but since the price of going out to eat has gone up so much that, when you have an experience like this, I feel like the restaurant should compensate you in some way. Update: Thank you Swifty's for making it right! We went to the Delmar location and the food and service was great! I had the fish and chips, my husband had the reuban and we shared the irish onion soup. Delicious!
The place is a tad on the worn down side, but considering how busy it usually gets, lack of remodeling is more due to not enough downtime rather than neglect. They are busy for a reason, too... the food is great! I personally recommend the Shepard's Pie. Great staff as well, though they are generally swamped, so you can be left a bit on your own after the food arrives. Things just require a bit of getting their attention, bit you'll get what you want quickly enough.
Cute place in the middle of town with lots of pretty flowers outside. We lunched outside on their tented patio, which was very relaxing. The grilled pub sandwich (roast beef, melted cheese, grilled onions and horseradish dressing) was delicious. We ordered the Irish pub fries but their homemade chips were delivered to our table instead; they were disappointing to me because they were tough to chew (my sister liked them though). The carrot cake and coffee were delicious. It's definitely a place to which I would return for lunch.
Nice friendly atmosphere with good service. Food is good. Have gluten free pizza and other options. I had the Chicken Parm Sandwich (Crispy Chicken, Marinara Mozzarella Cheese On Ciabatta Bread). Offer a few choices for side dishes and I selected cold slaw. Both were good. Swifty's offers take-out that can be ordered on line. We have used this many times with a short time to pick-up (up to 20 minutes) and good meals.
Good food, definitely a solid local lunch choice or a place to catch the game. Has the atmosphere you would expect in a local sports bar, a little aged but that adds character. Service was prompt, food was tasty.
Delicious food- yet I was unhappy with the service. No water refills, not many check ins, they charged for sauce with fries, and they were out of most deserts. Good vibe though.
I've been to this place a few times now. The food is standard pub fare.. good, but not great. I've had a burger, prime rib, soup, and a sandwich so far. They are kid friendly and have a kids section on their menu. The kids pizza was disguising, but my 5 year old loved it! Most of the wait staff are polite and efficient and work hard to get your order right. I had one bad experience when I literally waited over an hour for a burger and kid pizza. It was not busy at all. Waitress rolled her eyes when I complained. The manager made it right immediately. Overall, it's a nice place to get together with friends or family, but don't expect a gourmet meal.
Decent local eats. Salads were great, mushroom trio was unique! Always looking for a little flare. Accommodating to alternatives, grilled chicken on a salad over fried. Hot or extra hot options were fun. Beer was good (can't really need that up). Mixed drinks, if there's a next time. Soups was classic, good! It was a Friday night 7 ish and they were out of dessert. Total bust. Would be nice to offer a gluten free dessert choice. Also they completely forgot to season fish. I have never had that happen - zero seasoning. At least I could taste the salmon. They were very busy which is the normal and great for them. Just expect a slower experience. You do need a mask. Cute decor. Staff was friendly which we all need a little extra friendly right now.
This has to be one of the NOISIEST restaurants I've ever been to. On the night we went, the place was also extremely packed. (That can be a good sign, meaning that they have great food), but I couldn't find a place to park in the parking lot! I had to park over by the funeral home and carry over some heavy bags. It's almost impossible to converse in this place because it's so loud. While their entrees were tasty, there was not a huge deal to pick from.
I’ve been going to Swifty’s for many years and am usually very please. We ordered takeaway for dinner tonight and ware very disappointed. I arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time and drove just over 1 mile home. The food was cold when I unpacked it. The Swift’y’s sampler was standard but the onion rings and Ruben rolls were a bit soggy. I ordered the Schnitzel sandwich with beer cheese instead of Swiss (as offered as an option on-line) and asked if the mushrooms could be held off. I got a chicken sandwich with honey mustard, No cheese or sauce. Sandwiches are supposed to be served with fries or house chips and we got neither. As a treat order a slice of the Guinness cake. The average sized slice of cake arrived with half of the bottom layer missing. Certainly not worth the $9 price. Def. Rethinking a favorite neighborhood spot. They can do much better.
Burger bun soggy and burger ordered medium well...came back medium...fries were soggy. I ordered the pub melt. The bread was really soggy. Fries limp....looked good, but soggy
The full affair was a bit uninspired. Flank steak and french fries. Nothing too exotic on the menu and nothing much. Grab my eye.
Tried it on a whim for a quick lunch. Got the shepherds pie and the dubliner. We skipped apps. The pie was VERY small and much more potatoes than actual substance/meat. The flavor was ok, but it definitely could use and upgrade in all areas. The dubliner was good, the focaccia was fantastic and there was a decent amount of turkey on the sandwich it came with fresh cut fries that didn’t seem fresh cut but were okay overall. The place is cute inside but the walls are dirty and it could use a bit of a wipe down on the booths too. Also, the water definitely had an off taste which was sad because I don’t typically order soda. Honestly, might give it a second shot but it would be last resort. Sad because it’s been around for so long, would love to see it get a facelift for sure !
Just ordered two "medium" cooked burgers for take out at 4:45 pm. We normally love Swiftys. I'm sorry to say that it was very disappointing on two counts. Both burgers were overcooked and dry and mine was charred on the outside, and hard to eat. Suggestion...if you overcook the burger, please re-make them for the customers. Secondly, if the person orders a burger, and is asked do you want a side of fries and they decline the fries, I would like the person taking the order to suggest another side. I am sad and disappointed that did not happen and I was charged the same price as my husband that got fries. Happy to order from you again, but was very disappointed tonight.
Ordered the southwest pork nachos platter to go. The pork was tasteless, as was the cheese. Arrived in a pizza box and lukewarm. Won't be back.
Nice atmosphere, food and service significantly went downhill in the last few years. Prefer Oslatterys or spinners for pub food.
Until last night, I have always loved both Swiftys locations. Really good food with really good prices. Last night in Delmar I ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich with craisins and walnuts. I have had this before and it was great. Last night there was no wheat bread so I got white. When it came I was surprised to find it was 80% lettuce and 20% chicken salad, and that is being generous. I could hardly see or taste any chicken salad. I tasted one walnut and 3 craisins. It was the worst sandwich I have ever had in a restaurant. What happened???"?
Either our server was horrible or the bartender did not know what they were doing. Probably both. I asked for the salmon salad and received the salmon plate with broccoli and mash. Wouldn’t have minded accept I’m trying to watch my carbs, hence the salad. She acted like she didn’t need to write the table’s order down, but she should have taken the extra two seconds to do so. I also ordered gin and soda with lime and received gin and tonic with lemon. I repeated the drink order and still received tonic the second time. Food was bland, salmon was very over cooked and dry. My friend’s burger was soaked in grease. Also got a bourbon old fashioned, was not impressed by the quality, seriously watered down.
Hate writing this review as this is a place I enjoyed a number of times. However the least couple of times I have ordered take out from here I received no utensils, no napkins, and French onion soup with slices of non melted cheese. Not sure why it’s gone downhill, but it has. Hopefully this review will prompt them too get rid of any staff responsible for this.
They are not gluten free, they have one fryer only where everything is fried, if you ask them to make something in the oven they only have the pizza oven which also has flour and is not gluten free. Very bad experience, friendly wait staff but bad advertising, we wouldn't of come if they said they had one fryer and all the cross contamination
Waited extra 15 minutes and when I got home 2 of the 3 chicken Caesar wraps had NO chicken. Had to drive back to get some chicken. When we finally ate, the wraps fell apart.
That was the worst wrap I ever had with limp fries. You should be a shamed to serve that. Get your overpriced act together.
Two + years ago, my wife and I ate here. They gave her under-cooked chicken, she complained, they corrected the food and comped us with a couple of drink tokens. The next day, she was violently sick and missed a day's work because of it. Last night, I didn't want to go back, but my wife spoke with one of the servers at her hardware store who assured her it was "much better now" I was talked me into it, and agreed because I kind of missed the Reuben roll appetizers. We ordered them and got drinks. Placed our dinner order and waited. 30 minutes later our food comes out. When we asked about the appetizers, she said, "they didn't come out?" "Do you see an empty plate?" Unless appetizers are self propelled there, she flat out lied to us. This is after we told her it was our first time back in over 2 years because of the food poisoning. I ordered mac salad with my sandwich and got fries. That was easily corrected, however, if it was the other way around, wouldn't have been. My wife told her to "carefully write down" what she wanted with her steak salad including blue cheese dressing on the side. She didn't get that right either. She didn't seem willing to try and correct her multiple mistakes. I guess I'll have to learn how to make the Reuben rolls at home. We didn't bother to escalate it to a manager. My wife and I aren't people who complain for comped food, we just want decent honest service. I opted to tip exactly 15% to the penny - which isn't my style. I'm a trucker and 20% - 30% is my wheelhouse. If our waitstaff is fun, I'll throw $20 on the table for a $50 tab. I know everyone is having a hard time finding help these days, but for the love of all things holy, hold out for people who care about their job. We're never going back.
I ordered waffle fries & a small cheese pizza, the waffle fries were disgusting, they were soggy & tasted gross. The pizza for looking like it was cooked in a pizza oven had no flavor it was very bland. Prices may need to be redone because $26 for these 2 items was a waste of money & definitely shouldn't be charging $13 for those nasty fries
My family has been eating at Swiftys for years. I have a gluten allergy and am familiar with what I can eat on the menu. I places a pick up order and when we got it home noticed that it was not made gluten free. When we called, they knew right away that they did not have gluten free bread (but we were able to order it online) there is an option to have them contact you if they can not make the order. We were not contacted. If I had not known what the bread should have looked like I would have consumed it and become sick. When I called to talk about how dangerous that is the receptionist disconnected the call. I was not irate, or rude. I just asked to speak with a manager. I approached it as an opportunity for growth and was showed that they didn’t care. We will not be returning.
Ordered a bbq chicken pizza. It arrived literally black. The woman on the phone defended it by saying “we thought you would want it crispy” the manager then got on and apologized… we opted to not get a new pizza… I’m editing to add we do love the Albany location.
