this place is amazing! the salsa, queso, drinks, and tacos were all spectacular. some of the best birria tacos in denton for sure. dylan was very kind and attentive. we will definitely be back!

Wild Cactus Date Night Vibes 🌵❄️ | 5/5 Would Flirt Again Wild Cactus served exactly what we needed for a cozy little date night: killer frozen drinks, crunchy chips, and just enough dip to keep the convo flowing. We tried two of their specialty frozen drinks (because why choose just one?) and wow—absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, not too boozy, just the right amount of “oops, we might need a ride home.” Staff was super minimal, which honestly worked in our favor. They let us do our thing without hovering—so if you're into uninterrupted eye contact and inside jokes, this place gets it. It’s giving: casual-cute, snack-and-sip, let’s-make-this-a-regular-thing energy. Highly recommend for your next night out with someone who makes you laugh harder than the tequila hits.

This place is a hidden gem! It’s our go to for margaritas. The food is amazing and the price is shockingly low for what you get. The atmosphere is beautiful, quiet and quaint. It’s our favorite spot in Denton.

Decided to try a new spot, stumbling upon Wild Cactus Cantina and was not disappointed! The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, the staff were attentive and the food was spectacular. We started with two La Classica margaritas and then shared the taco flight. The menu is very small but they execute each item flawlessly. This has become our first pick when in downtown Denton, must try!

This oasis is lovely! Great mexican inspired food, such a cool vibe inside, and even better food! Three of us split a flight of margaritas, split the sampler platter. Highly suggest the “little round chips with pork on them” lol Guacamole was fresh and on point! Great place for a date night or meeting with the girlies! The only challenge is the parking- but its well worth a short walk!

Went here for first time last night. Not too busy and seated right away. Chips and salsa was very good! Great server. Had Birra tacos and Elote both of which were outstanding. I like that you pay by the taco based on how hungry you are. Definitely recommend.

I came here for happy hour, more for the margaritas I'd heard so much about than anything. They were pretty good! I got a flight of three of the fruit ones, and my mom got one with blueberry as well as another that I can't recall specifics on. The food we got was decent, but not memorable. I'd definitely go back. The prices were reasonable during happy hour!

Always enjoy a visit to wild cactus cantina. They did such a beautiful job with the decor here. Excellent margaritas and a lot to choose from. Small food menu but good. Enjoyed everything I’ve tried so far here. Great happy hour deals. They also own Milpa in town. Highly recommend! Came most recently for National taco day and they had some great specials! Love the bacon wrapped shrimp and the birria tacos.

Small plates are my jam, which is why I love tapas restaurants and super excited about this tex-mex inspired tapas restaurant + margarita bar. If you remember Mulberry Street Cantina, prepare to be blown away at this stunning transformation. It has an industrial Bohemian vibe with a touch of midcentury. Exposed brick, talavera style tiles, mood lighting, sophisticated furniture, and covered top to bottom with live greenery brought to you by True Leaf Studio. The table lamps are touch activated so you can dim or brighten up your space with a simple tap. There’s plenty of Insta photo opps, trendy seating spots for couples and large groups alike, and a large wrap around bar top with quick access to getting your rita on! What we ordered: ✨Taquitos - a nice crunch with pulled chicken and salsa verde. ✨Quesadillas - you can’t go wrong with dillas. ✨Bacon wrapped shrimp - this was a big hit for the table. ✨Queso with steak tips - good flavor! ✨Chips & Salsa Board - make sure you have plenty of water because it’s gotta nice kick! ✨ Churro Cheesecake - delish. ✨ True Leaf margarita - a super refreshing cucumber rita was perfect to ease my tongue on fire. ✨Four Berry margarita - a beautiful and colorful rita, but a tad too sweet for me to drink more than one. ✨Ocean Water margarita - delicious and refreshing, comes in a cool black tiki cup! ✨Taco Tuesday $1.50 tacos - the birria are the best! I can’t wait to see what this places does to this dark side of the square and I’m already waiting to go back.

Drinks were fantastic. The bartender was super nice and friendly. We ordered the ceviche but as you can see it was more like a shrimp cocktail but ok we didn’t eat much of it.

Our waitress was sweet. The food menu was limited. Happy hour was from 4-6 Monday through Saturday. The margarita flight was great. The Birra tacos were different. They did not have iced tea available nor did they have guacamole. The salsa was warm and had a nice heat to it.

Nice and relaxing. However, the portion of food is small and still over $11 with not much variety. Their drinks menu is huge. That’s pretty good. The service was slow. I had to flag them down. The salsa was too spicy and there’s no other choice to eat your chips with.
