Cibo molto buono. Noi abbiamo provato il luccio sulla polenta, i bigoli con le sarde, i casoncelli, poi come secondo il manzo all'olio e una degustazione piccola di formaggi. Antipasto e primi molto buoni. Formaggi anche. Sulle cose di pesce molto buono. Prezzo nella media (95€ in due).

Scrivo questa recensione mentre sono ancora al tavolo, tanta l’impazienza di condividere la bella esperienza che sto vivendo. Viaggio di lavoro, volevo evitare il classico locale per turisti e ho scelto questo locale per il nome simpatico. L’ambiente è accogliente e casereccio, ma allo stesso tempo curato e pulito. Il servizio, gentile e preparato, mi ha consigliato. Così ho scelto il manzo all’olio, accompagnato da un ottimo Cabernet Veneto. (Davvero di qualità) Non avevo fame, ma ho mangiato con gusto questo piatto tradizionale, aggiungendo per dolce un tiramisù molto gustoso. Che dire, davvero un bel posto dove passare una bella cena (o pranzo) con gli amici. Se non abitassi a mille chilometri da qui ci tornerei settimana prossima con la mia famiglia! Ancora non ho chiesto il conto, ma a occhio e croce avrò speso una quarantina di euro, probabilmente meno. Consiglio a prescindere dal conto, venite a gustare i buoni piatti, il buon vino, e una bella atmosfera!

Ristorante davvero carino e molto accogliente, con un’atmosfera piacevole e curata. Il cibo è davvero buono, abbiamo mangiato delle pizze squisite, preparate con ingredienti genuini e di qualità. Per non parlare dei dolci… la torta delle rose era semplicemente buonissima! Torneremo sicuramente.

Had a wonderful dinner here, sitting in the cosy dining room while it was pouring rain outside. Pappardelle con funghi was both moreish and light. Would have tried some of the local desserts if we had room!

We had a fantastic meal here at Gattolardo, it was really nice to have some different things on the menu and a more authentic experience. The food was incredible and service was friendly. So far this holiday , this has been our out and out favourite meal. We would recommend a visit.- especially for the homemade tiramisu

We picked this location as it looked interesting down a side street. We arrived just after 7pm and it was busy, and thankfully they had a table for us. They had a good selection of dishes in their main menu as well domestically interesting selections on the day menu. I ordered the beef, and requested it rare. It was very tasty and well cooked. The potatoes were delicious. My partner had the rabbit which was really good! Would recommend trying that if you go to this restaurant. Reminded us of home cooked food that our Italian friends have done for us. The potatoes and rosemary were so good.

What a fantastic place!! Its owned an operated by a Family, that make you feel welcome. The food is amazing, best Ravioli with Salvia i ever had! Vitello Tonnato is also excellent, so is the pizza! Very good wine selection, fair prices and the Restaurant itself is very nice. We went there twice during our stay (we wanted to eat the Ravioli again) and can 100% recommend this place. True italian hospitality. We will def. be back.

Awesome authentic Italian food I recommend the Eggplant millefeuille and the homemade ravioli 😍 Also, the chocolate cake OUWEE Just make sure you're in no rush because the waiters were in no rush and forgetting a lot of things. But the food more than compensated for this ;)

Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here. The menu had a lovely authentic feel, which highlighted regional specialties. Service was professional and friendly. I’d love to come back here, as I’m not sure if any restaurant in the area could be better than this! Reserve in advance as it can fill up!

Not a very big place and it's hard to spot if you pass by but this is a hidden gem of Desenzano! We were here a couple of years ago and we loved it, now back to Desenzano and our first choice was this restaurant! Very tasty food, just really very very good! Try some local things, not only pizza, it's delicious! I had a rabbit with potatoes and herbs and it was amazing! The wine choice is good, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is also very good. We will definitely be back here 😊

Best pizza we had on our holiday. We ate here twice, once in the evening and once for lunch. Value for money is excellent and the food is amazing. If you want to sit outside you need to make a reservation, but inside is lovely too. The tiramisu is INCREDIBLE!! A must visit.

We came here after a recommendation from another restaurant in Lake Garda… we were NOT disappointed! The wine selection was great with the waiter able to provide the perfect wine pairings, the pasta and pizza is not to be missed. The waiter was so friendly and helped us with any questions we had on the menu. The restaurant is located down a side alley so is very quiet and away from the tourist traps. Highly recommend!

The most authentic Italian restaurant in this area, A real gem, everything was perfect. The pizza was the best I've ever tasted. Everyone was so nice. We arrived exactly at 19:00 when the restaurant opened and 30 minutes later it was full, so I recommend to make a reservation. Also the espresso is very special. Very recommended.

Abbiamo selezionato dal menu dei piatti di lago: un antipasto con luccio marinato e polenta, gustoso anche se non raffinato come elaborazione e impiattamento; come primo dei bigoli al sugo di sarde e persico, non male anche se il gusto risulta un po' appiattito per la prevalenza del salato. La pizza ci è piaciuta davvero tanto! Quando siamo arrivati il nostro tavolo non era pronto nonostante la prenotazione. Ma se la sono cavata egregiamente facendoci accomodare ad un altro tavolo ed offrendoci un bicchiere di bollicine. Personale gentile, sorridente e disponibile. L'ambiente è molto raccolto, sembra di entrare in una casa. Rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo!

We came to Gattolardo after reading that they serve authentic bigoli con le sarde, a local specialty I’d been keen to try. We walked in without a booking and were lucky to get a table outside. When we asked about the dish, the waiter explained that it was out of season, and that their menu — apart from the pizzas — is seasonal and based on availability. I really respected that. Some places would serve it anyway just to please tourists, but here they clearly care about doing things properly. The menu was genuinely interesting and definitely aimed at the more adventurous diner. We had pasta with lake fish ragù and braised rabbit — both full of bold, distinctive flavours if you’re not used to them. The waiter recommended a local Candri Saottini Lugana white wine, which we instantly loved. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to answer our many questions about the dishes and ingredients. You could tell they were proud of what they were serving. If you’re looking for something authentic and thoughtful, and not just another copy-paste Desenzano menu, Gattolardo is well worth the visit.

Good pizza restaurant in a cozy alley. We both ordered the same pizza (the ‘Gattolardo special’) and it tasted really good, except that it was a bit much tomato sauce in our opinion. Service was friendly and pretty quick, prices were a bit high compared to other pizza restaurants in town. Overall a good experience though

We visited Gattolardo twice and food was delicious on both nights. The lasagna bolognese was nice, the prosciutto and mushrooms pizza was exceptional! Panna cotta was very nice but the passion fruit sauce was a bit sour, the cream was very very good though.

A charmingly located restaurant in a side street. Selected outdoor spaces are available in the alley. The interior captivates with the harbor con desenzano drawn on the wall there. The food, especially the sliced tuna, was delicious. Many guests have eaten pizza, which also looked very good. The service was good.

Fish was tender and seafood we had that night went well with the white wine. As long as the ingredients are fresh, light seasoning will do! The restaurant is located in a narrow alley but the food and service were great and we enjoyed a good dinner.

Great traditional cuisine! Location is informal, a slightly hidden place at the end of a blind alley, on a pedestrian and shopping street. Pet friendly. Few dishes on the menu, in fact it is a restaurant that offers what is able to do. Very well prepared, and tasty dishes. Cuisine rich in aromas. These plates remind of grandma's cooking, and for all I care, it's a compliment. In addition to traditional dishes, pizzas are also offered, both for lunch and dinner. Excellent choice to have a great time, eat well and avoid the usual tourist restaurants. Fair price, around 35-45 eu per person. The entrance has a ramp for wheelchair access.

Pizza immangiabile (prosciutto e funghi), impasto pesante e crudo (dopo 3 fette ero già sazio), poco pomodoro, poca mozzarella, champignon insipidi e tagliati troppo spessi, cotto messo dopo di bassissima qualità. Prima di tutto andrebbe specificato nel menù "il cotto dopo la cottura", ma se lo metti alla fine devi metterne uno di qualità, non dico un San Giovanni che forse non sanno manco cos'è, ma almeno un prosciutto da 25/35€ al kg, non un prosciutto plastificato, lucido, gelatinoso e senza un minimo di grasso, quello manco ai cani, se lo cuoci almeno puoi nascondere in modo parziale la pessima qualità del prodotto. Siamo piacentini, sui salumi non si scappa. Edit: no problem, alla fine capita a tutti di sbagliare, aver ammesso l'errore vi fa comunque onore.

We visited this Italian restaurant last night, and unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great. The food was mediocre at best. For instance, the pizza was about a 4 out of 10, and my partner’s fried fish came without any vegetables, just greasy and heavy. Overall, it wasn’t a positive experience.
