Food and service is great as always but the resturant is old and worn down and need many repairs. If you wait on your food and standing to the side by the restrooms, it smells like sewer. GET YOUR FOOD TO GO!
Eat there this evening with out of town family members. Good food got good service. Was treated well. Hard working ladies at the counter and in the kitchen.
LJS was fantastic. Normally I'm not a fish type of person. But, this fish was good. I had the sampler platter. Fish, chicken, shrimp and a side of fried clams. Everything was delicious. I hope to go back soon!
Even though I came during the dinner rush hour--my food was fresh, hot and made to order and SOOOO DELICIOUS!! The staff was also very friendly & worked to process my order as soon as they could. I was EXTREMELY PLEASED & WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!
Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. The gentleman on the speaker was patient as I tried to figure out what sides my husband would like. Will definitely be going back soon.
You either love it or you don’t. There isn’t a middle ground if you don’t love don’t eat it. I love it. But fried shrimp at $1 a piece, only on a pay week.
Very pleasant place. Friendly cashier. Super clean tables. We ate inside. Being truck drivers we hardly get to. But, when we do we really appreciate a clean friendly place. 7stars

I love Long John Silver's I love their food love their food love their food. It's one of the greatest take out places ever they always get your order right and it's one of the only take outs I go to the get your order right. Plus I love their food always have and always will. The people there are great cuz they make sure your orders correct. They're always happy and smiling.
I went thru the dr. A little slow. However, know there was a big order a couple of cars ahead of me. Therefore, food was hot and fresh!! Of course, it's always greasy,but somehow, it seemed more greasy? I felt it on my teeth long after I ate. Still tasted food. I eat nothing but chicken. Do like the Fries or the anything else. I even ask them to keep the hushpuppies. Never did care for them.
Was surprised to see they added grilled options! I went ahead and got the salmon instead of the fried fish and was not disappointed. Good plate portions for the price. Salmon, rice, and two sides for $11
I went to Taco Bell/Long John Silver's on Lancaster Rd. near I-20. They no longer served Long John Silver's food. So I Googled for another location. I'll definitely be a return customer at this location. My order was freshly prepared and I was in and out and on my way to work.

I haven't eaten at a Long John Silver's in nearly 20 years. This location was amazing. Fast and extremely freindly service and super fresh food, even though it was close to closing time. The food took me back. Tasted the same as I remembered it, if not better. Seems like it's the same recipes and made so fresh with quality ingredients. Highly recommended, and next time I'm in the area I will definitely hit it up again.
My husband and I went to Long John in DeSoto, Texas and ordered through the drive line, and the response time was really good. Usually the drive through can be so slow but our experience was great. There were three car's ahead of us but the time or response was really good. Food was hot and fresh as well. Try Long John's, at Pleasant Run and Interstate 35. Mrs Bell- Jackson
They were very quick. Drive through is poorly designed, but has been that way for many years. Curtiuous service. Really like the portions and the new clear containers to see the food when you get it. Food portions were awsome.
This restaurant must have new management. As a customer of over 35 years, I have never had a better meal. Cole slaw was VERY fresh, the corn, my goodness it tasted like my mom's. Fresh food, the fish shrimp and chicken was perfect, and not greasy. And for those that complain about the bad service, trade places with these people just 1 day, and see if you complain next time. To the 3 ladies who worked tonight, September 21st, thank you so very much!!!
I haven't had long johns in a looonnnggg time. I've been missing out! The food was fresh and hot. The service was quick and accurate. The best part of the whole experience was MISS JOYCE on the front register. She took her time to explain to us our options. Checked on us to see how we were doing. Showed us the survey on the receipt and told us about the app. I will be back to this location.
Good food + great serving sizes makes this place stand out from the rest of the fast food joints! We went through the drive thru window and they forgot my coleslaw and drink. The manager cheerfully fixed it. Having worked in a drive thru before I know it's an easy mistake to make but how they handled it really boost the score. But all of this would have been for nothing if the food and portion sizes were bad. The food tastes good and fresh. It was delivered to us fast and in good spirits. The portion sizes was great! The portion sizes is what you expect of a similar price item at a sit down restaurant. I'm very please with this Long John!
This location had great service and hot food. The cooking oil was fresh and only made it better.
Visiting from Michigan, we rode pass Long John Silvers and immediately turned around. We don't have any nearby restaurants so it was nice to see Texas had one. We love the food and couldn't pass an opportunity to get some. As always, fish was fresh and good.
Oh my! It had been too long since my last visit. I can't say enough good things about my experience that day. Lady working counter was DELIGHTFUL, sweet and Fun 😊. The young man that was cooking even stuck out his head to say Hello and the food was absolutely perfect! The restaurant hadn't changed much, but it was so clean and looked great. Be sure and do the survey on your receipt!! It really does matter and isn't it nice to report A Super duper meal and service . (Surveys aren't just for negative comments). Call corporate or district manager or do SURVEY and say something you LIKED about your visit!! #goodjobLJS Wouldn't it be nice if someone said something positive about you? Let's change our patterns to positive!
It has been many years since eating at Long John Silvers as the food was too greasy. I saw a suggestion on Google maps and I was nearby one. They had grilled salmon 😋. I can definitely do that menu. I wanted to go in but the doors were locked so I chose the drive thru. I was amazed at the salmon and green beans being lightly seasoned and fresh (just right for me). The service was excellent. I will be ordering this again very soon. Thank you @Lonjohnsilver for creating a healthier menu option.
This location is definitely in need of a remodel. Luckily, the food and the customer service did not disappoint. I honestly had the expectation for the food to be nasty based on the environment. The food was delicious!!!! We order the two fish baskets and an order of clams. Was able to quickly order, pay with ease and the food came out fresh and hot.
The drive thru scared me to death. Very small space with big columns so you don't run off curb. Please drive very slow. Food was gr8.
They always do a great job. Joyce at the register is very customer oriented. We always look forward to seeing her. It is an older store in need of some updates,but they do a great job.
I don't normally eat greasy fried food but I stopped to pick something up for my uncle and noticed they now (haven't been in a few years) serve several grilled options so I decided to try the salmon. I was quite impressed!
I wanted long john silvers. But could not find one in my immediate area. I went to the long john silvers on Lancaster Rd near I 20 they are not doing business at the location for that area of oak cliff. So I googled the long john silvers on Pleasant Run near IH 35 in Lancaster. The fish was good, and the service was good.
Tried the crab cakes and shrimp platter for the first time. They were pretty good. The drive thru could use some restructuring. It’s curved in such a way that you feel like you will hit the curb.
My fish was fresh, the only disappointment I experienced was that I asked for 1 malt vinegar, 1 tartar sauce, and 2 ketchups. I received tons of malt vinegar and some packets had leaked, and a cocktail sauce that I didn't ask for. The employees need to be more attentive when getting condiments. I'm particular about my food, and didn't eat it due to no tartar sauce. I wasn't going to drive back for it, then my fish would've been cold.
Had broiled shrimp, 2 sides (corn and coleslaw) which also included rice! Pretty clean and my husband had 3 pieces of fried fish (cod), fries and slaw! The service was very nice and we took it to go.

I'm really a big fan of their Southwestern Rice Bowls..Shrimp. Salmon and Shrimp platter are also good if prepare right. Enjoyed the new lobster bites limited time offered.. I have had the pleasure of dining in and drive thru I must say the day of dining in was not enjoyable. I believe it could have been cleaner. The staff is friendly. My family and I dine In. It was not a good experience but it could have been one of those days. We were the only ones dining in that day.
A not very friendly staff working in a dirty restaurant that is beginning to be worn out and falling apart. All the upholstery is ripped and torn the food is overpriced and unfortunately are french fries were cold. There parking lot is a little bit hard to get in and out of due to their location
Food was very good but service subpar. Very slow service and they forgot to include shrimp ordered so had to request before driving off. We also asked for some crumbs as we love with lemon but they also left off and when we asked they gave some excuse of it taking longer to get. My first time at this location so hopefully better for others.
Last 2 times there. Food was way to greasy. Not very helpful. And last time we took food home. Didn't check it. Were in a hurry. And they forgot 2 of the items ordered. That's been about a year ago. Hopefully better now.
I ordered 2 orders of claims, one box wasn't cooked good, the claims were mushy! I went thur drive thur, and the young lady at the window had a bad attitude, I asked for a straw for my drink, some ketchup for my fries, and she acted as though, I was getting on her nerves!!!! Not to worry sweetheart I assure you that I WON'T be back
I ordered with Uber Eats: 2 fish dinners X2, Cole slawX2, and green beans X2. I recieved only 1 fish dinner, and 1 green beans. NO coleslaw! NO second fish dinner! NO second green beans! NO tarter sauce! NO ketchup! NO EATING UTENSILS! NO napkins! This is theft!!
Good food but the line drive-thru line is long and the service is very slow. You might want to pass until the line is short... otherwise the wait will keep you from enjoying the expence that you paid for getting food from the drive-thru. I would recommend offering free drinks for the wait, otherwise I just try to catch the line when it's short or drive to a faster moving restaurant or one that will allow you to eat in.
It's only good if it's fresh and hot. You can always tell when the batter & grease is old. This Building need an makeover. The curb appeal is likely to deture guess
This restaurant has been here for a while. The inside is very seventies and needs an upgrade. The food wasn't the greatest. The fish had very little flavor, and everything tasted like the fish, even the chicken. The people were friendly enough. I just don't think I'll be back.
Yeah not what was expected. I know its fast food but there is a level of professionalism that should be shown at all times. The food was luke warm not sue as to why line was extremity long. The employees seem to be on an extended break. I know I won't be back.
I stop in here a couple of times a month. They're always nice. They don't have a problem honoring online promos. My little order of one pc fish (or 3 pc shrimp) with extra hushpuppies is always hot and fresh.
Terrible customer service no eye contact and just hangs food out the window without even looking at me where I gotta reach for it..felt very unwanted there...Also no "thank you!"... "Have a good night." Nothing just shut the window....The food was not all fresh tasting...stale fries and hush puppies But the Chicken and fish was hot and fresh ....both tasted good like usual..
On April 2nd, 2021, after 6 pm, I went through the drive thru, with a line of cars. The orders were being handed quickly. I ordered a 2 piece fish. I ate one piece. About 6 this morning, I woke up filling I’ll. O ended up having diarrhea. Which is still going on. I had to miss dialysis. Apparently they weren’t keep their pre-cooked fish at the right temperature.

The lady at the window was rude. I told her my order then realized i chose the wrong one. When I corrected it she grunted and responded with an attitude. Then when I finished ordering she rudely told me to pull up. Got to the front and while I'm asking for condiments she cuts me off and says what condiments do you want with an attitude. I give 2 stars because the food was fresh and the manager was respectful when i spoke to her. However, my gut feeling tells me that she will probably not address it with her representative.
This is the dirtiest restaurant I have ever seen in many decades of eating all over the US. The floor in the ordering area and passage to the restroom had obviously not been swept in at least a week. There was no square foot without debris, and it was horribly sticky everywhere despite the visible presence of a broom, mop, and bucket behind the counter. The bathroom had surfaces with generations of thick dark grime. The toilet paper in the ladies' rest room was a huge roll that was resting on top of its plastic holder so that you had to pick it up with both hands and put one hand on the germy inner cardboard tube, a Petri dish for salmonella, E. coli, C diff, and shigellosis. The paper towel dispenser wasn't operating correctly due to a missing spring, and the dividing walls in the front of the house were panelling painted with flat latex, a recipe for peeling paint. The. drive through was oddly curved a way that could cause blockages and problems for larger vehicles. The large menu board was great, but was not aligned so that people at the cashier stand could see all of it. But the floors were the main problem despite four employees working a moderately slow flow of customers. Never again.

I understand having to wait a little longer due to staffing issues but to wait AND get COLD food is another story. Spent $35 for unchewable Fish and cold HP. Was told they were cooking fresh. I was purchasing dinner for someone and I became apologetic after I partook of some. Tried to call but no answer.
Do Better For UBer Eats!! Food was Cold !!! Missing a couple of items (sides) , didn’t provide any condiments or forks/ napkins.
Today I went through the Drive thru. I purchased 2 seperate orders. I order a 2 pc fish combo w/fries and coleslaw and I was given the fish w/cole slaw and 8 hush poppies. I tried to call but it hangs up before you can speak to anyone. Crew member is Joyce W. She was rude, she practically threw the first order and then I got the second order and I was totally disappointed. the fish wasn't even hot it was cold. I frequent there all the time but after today no more. I don't spend my money and get the treatment I received.
The food here is excellent. However the building is filthy and it doesn’t appear to be the fault of the employees but rather the building owner. There is a smell of sewer gas throughout the dining room, ceiling tiles are crumbling, paint is chipping off the walls and is all over floors in the cracks and crevices. Furniture looks broken down and needed replacing a decade ago.
Food was horrible it appeared to have been sitting there for hours. It was hard and dried up. I called to voice my concerns to management however I didn’t get an answer on numerous attempts. Someone needs to know you should never serve anyone such poor quality food. I do not want a refund I will just never return and I will tell everyone I know nor to support this establishment. I wasted $26.00. Lesson learned!
Went today 9/25/2022, ordered the Fish (2) and Shrimp(6) platter and The Fish(2), Chicken(1)and Shrimp(3) platter. Came home and only had 2 fish and 3 shrimp for the fish and shrimp and same for the fish chicken and shrimp!! 😡😡😡 and to top it off one of the fish was cut in half on each platter. Not satisfied at all!!! I'm not going there again!!!
Waited over 40 minutes for an online order. The staff was playing the entire time while myself and other customers were waiting for our food.
Drove away from this location due to rude drive thru worker. I don't understand why bad service is tolerated in lower income areas while I can drive a few mins and have amazing service. I'm done patronizing business who do not hold their employees to a standard.
Went there last night it was 9:45pm got up to the window and they said they were closed even though there was no one behind us and four cars in front of us. And then quickly shut off the lights. The night was 6-24-2023. Just see who was working that night
Poor. Food was not hot. Service was poor and slow. I was the only one for 12 minutes. My order was wrong. For years I loved this store. Came back after 2 yrs being gone and it has gone to trash. I will find some where else and tell everyone.
This is probably the only time i have ever rated an organization this low. Worse LJS experience ever. Waited a long time to oder to only receive cold food and experience poor attitude from staff.
Tonight I went to Ljs in Desoto. Google shows that the close at 10pm. At 9:45 I drove to the drive thru. The young lady open the window and look at me. So, long without saying a word and rolling her eyes. That, I had to ask her do she work here. She, shook her head yes. I thought she was mute. I asked for a manager. The manager came to the window and yelled BABY WE CLOSED. I, told her Google says tall close at 10PM she then said I don't know why they have it online. But, we closed. She sarcastically said Have a goodnight This was the worst ghetto disrespect service ever in life. LKS has lost a loyal customer. I will inform everyone that I encounter not to patronize LJS.
Ordered a 2 fish & 3 chicken meal 2 nights in a row for delivery only to get shorted items and had stuff added that wasn't ordered. Tried to call the restaurant, only to get a message saying they were busy and to hang up and try again.
The Manager at the Polk and Hwy 67 location didn't push his team to give the best. The fish was not crisp, it was floppy and greasy. The fries had the same quality below standard. The whole team with the exception of the new cook seemed to be having a bad day. We weren't greeted when we walked in. We got our refund. We will not return to this location.

The drive thru worker who pulled a gun on a customer should be ashamed. This is a terrible display of customers service. Both him and the manager need to be fired for the employee having a bad attitude and pulling guns on the customer and for the manager who did not even stop his worker or stand up for the customer
Fish was fried with old geese and was hard. I will never come back. I paid $11.04 for a two piece dinner. Coleslaw and fries 🍟 and the fish 0 across the board.
Terrible awful intentionally mess up your food and do not show up 30 minutes before they close because they have already locked up shop. They sucks and should be fired so people can eat there
I went here last night to get food for me and my sons, the cashier was rude and impatient but I didn’t complain. now we are very sick. Throwing up and number two from last night and still today we are sick. The fish did taste funny so I didn’t eat it all but serving someone bad fish can kill them. I will be reporting this establishment.
NEGATIVE ZERO RATING!! Google says they close at 10 pm. I sat in line for almost 30 minutes and the lady takes the order for the car in front of me at 9:40 but when I get to the speaker she said they're closed and they close at 9:30, I explained to her that Google said they closed at 10 and I was in line way before 930 anyway and that she should honor that and take my order. She said I apologize but we're closed and turned the speaker off. I called and she said Google is wrong, they close at 930 and no she won't have them fix it. I will never attempt to give them my money again, just rude and un willingly to even accommodate me and the one customer that was behind me, he was also in line for almost 30 minutes.@longjohnsilver
Found hair in french fries, clams tasted very old. As if they may have been freezer burned before being cooked. Fish was good, but after finding the hair I lost my apetite
Second time they "forgot" something we ordered. So that's now something like 13-15 bucks they've gotten in exchange for absolutely nothing at all. I should have learned after the first time so I guess that's my fault, but I figured giving them a few months might straighten out the issue. Nope! This order was even made online, so I know their terrible, broken speaker in their drive through isn't the issue this time. They had everything they needed to do the right thing this time and STILL screwed it up.

Went here with my family to try and eat. Allergic to shellfish and we follow God's Dietary law. I asked if they could make some fresh batter or if they had batter already made to put in a separate container to dip my fish. I was told they will not do that. It was a simple request. Very disappointed

Girl at the window was very rude. I even said have a great day and she closed the window on me. Think she got mad I changed my order. Only because my son really wanted it, I got it. I would've told her to give me back my money. Won't be back and it sucks cuz we just moved here and this is the only one for miles and miles
Food very good. The lady at the drive thru very nice on the day we ordered from there. The older lady thats been there awhile with the tired blond wig is just rude. I can barely finish ordering before she interrupted. Does that ALL THE TIME. I am so glad when i DO NOT HEAR HER VOICE ON THE DRIVE THRU SPEAKER. All the food was already done and it was SOOO hard and you can not even bit it... AND I ordered one piece of fish to go With my shrimp plates,, I'm for all most 3$...the fish so SOOO Small. One of my butter fly Shrimp was all most the same . But like I said the food was already before I could get My drink,, ketchup, vinegar Used to work at a seafood place,, used to really like The food. But. No. More I've tried 3 times now In the past month..
I had my mouth all ready for some chicken plates... Bad customer service, no enthusiasm, slow as hell, dirty in the inside...I politely asked for a refund and left. Date: 12/30/24
Curley fries were fine. Tacos was soaked in grease in and out of bag. It was pretty disgusting
I went to the drive thru to get my senior citizen neighbor a fish sandwich. I told the person on the speaker twice to make it without pickles and tartar sauce. She confirmed at the pay window that the order was as I stated because ..I asked. I delivered it to my neighbor. I later discovered that the sandwich had tartar sauce all over. I tried several times to call to make the manager aware.. but to no avail. I had to get her something else at another restaurant near our residence This was a waste of big time and money.. This is my 3 time getting orders that weren’t as I requested. It now is a strike Out!!
I came here a week ago the drive-thur person was extremely rude she was a black skinny girl. ATTITUDE WAS NASTY.Dont work fast food if you don't want to deal with people
DeSoto, TX. Horrible!!! Bad customer service and filthy. I placed an online order on December 14th. The app said, ready at 5:25. I arrived at 5:23 and expected that at least some of my food was ready. It wasn’t a complicated order. When I arrived, no one was at the restaurant and no one was at the counter. A guy came strolling from the back in about 2 min. and looked at me. No, “may I help you.” I told him I placed an order. He said nothing and returned to the back. After about 5 min. chatting in the back. Meanwhile, I took photos. He came back out and said nothing. I stood waiting while they”started” preparing my order. Finally, 10 min. later, I got my meal. He forgot a drink. I reminded him and he said, “ Oh”. I took my food and left. It tasted horrible and I had to throw half of it out. Never again!
Hair was found in my fish when I took a bite not on the food but in the food. Manager was avoiding me when I returned with food and receipt. Came to the window and pretended she didn’t see me. It was close to closing time but I spent almost $60 and only wanted her to address the issue . She could’ve easily said bring food and receipt back the following morning. Instead she sent employees to say that she was too busy and nothing was resolved. I will be post picture of nasty hair in my food and also the response to this situation. As of now there has been no resolution and I’m wanting to warn yall. PICK ANOTHER LOCATION , YOULL THANK ME LATER!!!!
I purchased a meal on Friday and one of the chicken pieces wasn’t cooked. I was sick the next day and didn’t have the energy to call the business until Sunday. I spoke w/ Carolyn who had a nasty attitude & said that wasn’t her store & that she was just filling in and store policy is that I can’t get a refund no matter what because I was taking a chance when I purchased my meal.
