Angel was an amazing waiter. Patient and attentive.

We love coming here for family dinners. There's usually always a wait since the food is really good and the prices are affordable for a sit-down dining experience. Their portions are very big and are great for sharing or to take home a second plate. I've ordered various entrees each time I go here and none of them have disappointed. The pecan chicken salad is amazing, today I tried the Sweet Heat chicken and shrimp with rice , delicious.

Overall my experience was pretty good here, the food was ready fast and the staff was attentive and friendly, seemed to have a small town vibe!

Was headed to Louisiana and stopped in Arlington to grab late lunch...seated quickly, server was great and accommodating. Food choices were plenty...I actually got full enough off salad/spinach dip and took my meal home for dinner. Great prices and a nice clean friendly spot with good food.

Loved the food here; first time trying the chicken pot pie! Loved the environment and scenery, but most of all, big shout out to Quiniya for her AWESOME service and sense of humor! Whoever was on the intercom after close told her to come in for a party of 13, and EVERYBODY was laughing! I'll definitely be visiting this location again one day! I am only writing this review because the manager Ashley was absolutely AMAZING. Me and mother had a terrible experience with our waiter, she did not pay attention to us, was rude when we asked for something, and had a bad attitude. We informed Ashley, and she quickly and nicely apologized and genuinely felt bad for our experience. Took care of our bill, and made me and my mom feel 1000x times better. I hope and pray she continues to climb up the ladder, cause demeanor screams CEO! Thank you Ashley!

Food was good I don't know who was in the kitchen that day but they had the hands of heaven,I was upset because we didn't get to get the croissants and our waiter didn't care to see if we got any.. overall the food and drinks is what saved them THAT DAY

My family and I (8 people) visited from New Orleans and this, by far, was one of the best experiences we’ve had at a Cheddar’s. Food was amazing but the service was even better. Our server, Derrick M., went above and beyond for us. Coming from a former server/bartender myself, I had to leave a review to share how great he was. If you plan on going to this location, ask for Derrick and tell him his “New Orleans” table sent you!

The food was fantastic for the price!!! Pur waitress was extremely helpful. Based on my experoence I can't imagine any reason someone would rate it under 5 stars unless they're one of those "I want something for nothing" people!

Really enjoyed my visit here! We were seated quickly, and our server was super friendly and helpful. The food choices are plentiful, and everything we tried was delicious. I actually got full just from the salad and spinach dip and ended up taking my main meal home! The prices are great, the atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and it’s just a really comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. Perfect for grabbing lunch with friends, a casual dinner, or even just a quick bite. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu.

Never disappoints! Great service and good food and drinks

Came here on a Friday around 430. Was busy but wait was only 20 minutes. All the food and cocktails were delicious and all came out in timely manner. Kelvy was our server and she was great. Refills, answers to questions we had, boxes, she didn’t miss a beat. Will definitely return. The food looked much better than pictures when it arrived, I was just hungry and smashed before I thought about picture.

He perfectly balanced professionalism with a warm, engaging personality that allowed him to connect with us. I've only gone to Cheddar's a few times in my life, however, this Cheddar's experience was different. The food was Excelkent! I had the Grilled chicken salad. Sounds simple, but the taste was not. The chicken breast was tender and the dressing was excellent. The pricing!!! Every i visited with the exemption of only a few.The pricing has gone up tremendously. But this Cheddars , for some reason , the price seemed like it stayed the same from many years ago. So , in essence , the price was lower than most restaurants , and the food seemed better than it was before. How does that happen in this day and age? Well, it is happening at this particular Cheddar's. Thank you, cheddar's team for a great succulent restaurant experience!! My overall experience on the scale of 1-10, is 11! Delicious and affordable.

We visited this location today. The Food was Super Good as always. For starters croissant 🥐 amazing, Ribs falling off the bone and Broccoli with Cheese is always good. James was Extremely Good. He took care of about 5 to 6 tables all with a great attitude, smile on his face and seems to really enjoy his Job. This was my first time ever to visit and find at a Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. We arrived as the restaurant opened for business for the day. We were promptly greeted and seated a a both. Our server was Ms. Shamekia, with a bubbly personality and warm smile. She served out drinks and took our order and served us honey butter croissants. We had the chips and chips $9.49 and Dijon chicken and mushrooms on a bed of rice with two sides, $14.79. The food was very tasty and good size portions. So overall I had good experience for my first time visit. I will be back again. Hope to see you there.

We had a great lunch meeting. I had called ahead and asked if we could be seated near a plug for our computers. When I arrived he already knew . He was very nice and they accommodated us so well. I ordered a special dish and the mashed potatoes were too salty. I went with a friend and we wanted to chat, but we were seated next to a party and it was too noisy. We didn't have a good experience today.

This place always hits home. We we're seated by the bar. The bartender didn't mix the best drinks, but her customer & appearance was the bomb.com. covid-19 rules enforced. This location layout was set up different then all cheddar I have been to.

I've always been a fan of Cheddar's because of the good food, drinks, and cheap prices. It's not the fanciest place with the best food and service, but it will get you full and not bust your bank account. This location has to focus on customer service and learn not to have disagreements and small arguments in front of the customers.

The only thing that I didn't like or understand is that they put the chicken tenders in the same container as the chips and made the chips soggy. Again...

Delicious food! Even better prices. Our server was very kind even though she wanted to leave early due to bad weather. She made us feel important, and took care of us. It's very family friendly. Good prices. And lots of healthy options, too! They certainly need more workers/servers for the amount of customers waiting to be seated.

The service was awesome!!! Yes I said it… AWESOME!!!! The server Chris did not disappoint! The cook in the kitchen did not disappoint! We were seated immediately and were able to order according. The drinks and appetizers came came out almost immediately and our entrees came out just as fast!!!! I was so surprised how fast, hot (temperature wise), and delicious the food was! I am very happy with my experience here overall. The dishwasher may need some training though…. Myself and Bae had to use plastic ware due to silverware. Otherwise, everything was great! Thank you!

We stopped randomly to have a meal at this comfort food restaurant. I think that they're known for these honey butter crescents. I orderedthe grilled white fish over rice with a loaded baked potato. My man ordered meatloaf with broccoli and cheese, and mashed potatoes. The food looked good & tastes good. My fish was seasoned well and packed with flavor. Nothing was salty or under seasoned. This was a nice meal on the way home from Tyler, Texas to California. I only learned of this spot from the signs off the highway that let you know the next gas station rest stop or restaurant. It was a good find. I would definitely eat here again and recommend. Only thing my man said everyone that worked there looked mad. 😂 He's right no one smiled when they waited on us or greeted us but, everything was fine.

The host was friendly, the wait staff was attentive and answered all questions thoroughly. The food was a pretty large portion, and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable with nice ambience. The restaurant appeared clean. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

The score would've been higher but the waitress brought my fish back and said it was blackened, but there was no way this was considered blackened, it was also seasonless she brought me seasoning to add to the fish. I believe it was baked. My friend told me to send it back, but I'm not a fan of that unless I plan on leaving all together. She told me she asked for blackened and this is what she got. I will say she was very attentive and the rest of the food was very good as well. They drinks were too. The atmosphere was nice and I would go again. Arrived around 45 minutes after opening, sat at bar. After 8 minutes and no service, I called the restaurant and asked the greeter that was in eyesight, to send service to the bar. Waited about 4 more minutes, I was given a menu and before having the opportunity to open it, immediately I was asked if I was ready to order. I stated that I needed a minute. Ordered food and it came, food was hot and fresh. When finished, I asked for a to go cup, I then waited another 8 minutes as the bartender went to the back to get a bar item unrelated to cup of ice. She returned, made a small cup and cashed out my bill. Great food with nice surroundings yet extremely poor, unprofessional customer service.

My experience started out ok, but didn’t end well. The waiter we had was extremely nice and friendly. She checked in to make sure all was well. The honey butter crossiant was pretty good and the vanilla bean apple pie! My wife and I also tried their chicken tenders, ribs , and deep fried ham sandwich. The sandwich didn’t taste like anything special. It tasted like a plain sandwich just with fried bread. The ribs were ok, but not the best. My wife and I asked the server for a courtesy discount because our plates were nearly full. They gave me 4 sandwiches, but I only ate 1 and a couple fries. The meal cost me $12.49. My wife only ate the 3 tenders she had with her meal. She also ate 1 small piece of the rib when tasting and didn’t like it. She left everything on the plate including the sides ( broccoli and baked potato). The server had no problem with assisting us with getting a manager. The manager came out, but she didn’t have the best customer service skills. I couldn’t tell you her name because she didn’t introduce herself. She walked over and asked what we needed, told us that she will charge us for the things we did eat but never came back after. I paid for the food without looking at what was charged. She did remove about $23 off the order. Which is technically just one meal because my wife’s meal was $20 alone. I didn’t want to make a fuss because I could see that she didn’t really want to help or refund so I didn’t go back inside the store. Our total was originally $50.49. My meal was $12.49 my wife’s meal was $20 and some change, I had a tea that was $3.99 and we had a desert which was about $6 and some change. we paid $27 after she took some of the money off. If you look at these prices you can see she still didn’t take the money off correctly. Our plates were completely full when we gave them back. Only 1 sandwich missing, 3 small tenders, and about 8 fries. As I stated, the experience started off ok, but didn’t end well once we asked for help with our order. The customer service skills could have been better. The manager could’ve also been more welcoming. It was ok, but wouldn’t eat here again.

The bathrooms were terrible. Water in the sink was constantly running and you couldn’t turn it off. The floors needed cleaning.

The server seemed to be the only one working the entire bar area including behind the bar making drinks. Her service was about as good as it could be considering she was solo. Drink was a bit too much I didnt finish it or my food so I had to leave $8 on the table

I ordered pickup online and arrived at my pickup time 556pm. Checked in waited 12min and had to call in about my order and another 6min until my order was brought out. I watched several cars drive up got there orders brought out right away. Total wait time 18min to get my order. No explanation or apology for long wait time.

Fish tasted wild game fishy,. Ordered Mango swirl margaritas that was runny watery later I inquired about issue and was told machine wasn't working properly which was a lot too late. NO FOOD. 3- I went in the there was no one at the door - I went to the d side and a girl waved at me with a big grin - then went back to ignoring me. She again looked up at me - I told her I checked in, waited 15 min and now inside to get my food. She did not ask me my name - she instead mumbled and pointed something - so I walked in the direction she pointed. 4- she then says parking for order is and points out the door. I tell her - I’m INSIDE NOW, I want my food. 5- she FINALLY. asks my name and then points - there’s your food. There are three croissants (my order said NO BREAD. NO CROISSANTS.). And there were no plasticwear. (My order clicked yes on plasticwear 6. I’m home and the FOOD IS HORRIBLY SPICED. Red beans and rice is Red Beans SALT and rice. The mushrooms are old and over salted. The fish is OVER salted. The broccoli limp. Mashed potatoes dry. And the carrots and rice taste like carrots and rice. I eat one meal daily so I washed and patted and used Lemmon juice. This is really bad!

Food is good. However service is not so good. Place is a mess. Several dirty tables. The floor needs to be swept all over. I can see at least 6-7 employees sitting around, waiting on something. It is only 4 o’clock, a slow time of day, and they got people who’ve been waiting out here for over 10 minutes.

I usually love Cheddar’s, but this visit was disappointing. The food wasn’t good, the presentation was off, and the croissants came out cold twice — which is surprising since that’s what they’re known for. The waitress was kind and professional, but the kitchen didn’t deliver. I’m hoping this was just an off day for this location.

There was a wait to get in (which is understandable for a Saturday) after being seated it took 15 minutes to get our drinks, we were sitting for 35 minutes without getting our order taken (I had to waive down and ask the waiter to take our order). We did not get croissants until the main order came out, had to ask for that too. The chicken fried steak was okay but a little dry. I was not impressed.

Our server was very attentive and the host greeting us was kind. I joined the waitlist so not a long wait. The floor as usual was dirty from the front door to our table. When we got our food it was ice cold. They ran out of baked potatoes so they subbed it for a handful of loaded mashed potatoes. After we tipped the server he “found” a baked potato. I usually don’t go to this location because it’s always an issue, should’ve followed my intuition and went to the one in Grand Prairie.

My husband and I visited this location on Thursday 10/23/25 for lunch. We were seated pretty quickly that was a plus. THE SERVICE: The original waitress that greeted us at the seat seemed to have a problem with the fact that my husband was working rather than telling her his drink order, which might be why we ended up with Asia as our waitress, and she was OUTSTANDING!!! THE FOOD: The spinach dip we had was good enough but that’s it. I’m a bread baby and didn’t particularly like the croissants this time (I’ve had them many times before and usually eat my fair share), and my husband and I both felt the food was very underwhelming. The only positive thing about the food was it was hot. Some of the food on my plate tasted old, some was bland, some was wrong. My husband said his food didn’t taste right. I left this restaurant hungry and disappointed but Asia’s pleasant demeanor, attentiveness and service was the only aspect that didn’t disappoint.

2/5 stars Meet with family in town and literally this location didn't have hardly anything in stock or available for order. Server was friendly but wasn't as attentive as most. Maybe due to having many tables to service. To start off, they said they didn't have Henny Sunrise (Hennessey+OJ) but brought a drink with it in there after askingfor Hennessey. Maybe it was the name that they weren't familiar with. They also was out of ribs, broccoli and carrots. I ordered a pecan chicken salad and the chicken was cold and dry as if it has been sitting in the fridge uncovered. The broccoli and cheese was very very dry. Also, one of my guest requested ribs but they were out and while we were preparing to leave after paying the bill the server brought the ribs to next table. Maybe they received a truck....idk.... We will not be returning to Cheddars with type of service received. This was very embarrassing to say the least with my guest. This location needs to be followed up on before it's shut down. There were three other tables that complained of cold food or not fully cooked. This can seriously cause someone to become ill or die to food not being cooked to the right temperature.

Place needs to be professionally cleaned floor was sticky and nasty looking, chicken fried steak was dry and extra crispy sauce made it tolerable I didn’t finish it as it was not that great, my daughters grilled chicken was super salty, and dried out, Wisconsin cheese bites were so insanely greasy that’s all I could taste, utensils were not cleaned and still grease covered. I can only hope me and my family don’t get sick from possible poor food handling. Will not be returning here.

My order was messed up because the curbise personnel were really dismissive, didn't pay attention, and gave it to the incorrect car. Instead of having just lettuce, I requested two family-sized house salads, but the staff was unable to tell me that it included all ingredients. because she left and you have to train your personnel. I asked for 4 bowls of bacon bits and was charged extra for the 4 large bowls of ranch that I received in their place, keep in mind. This, plus the fact that I didn't even receive the bacon bits. The employee didn't seem to know what she was doing when I attempted to speak with her. She didn't even know what. My salad was entirely wrong because of the bacon pieces. This is the last time I'm visiting here.

On 2/06/25 weds. At 4pm I dined in here ordered a salad. The whole salad looked very off. The chicken was cold with no texture of chicken when you cut into it. It was straight cube block with no stringyness texture. IM STILL CURRENTLY SICK with some type of food poisoning from this dish. I’m sweating, diarrhea, cold and nauseous! Review of Cheddar Hood Scratch & Kitchen Today my husband and I visited Cheddar Hood Scratch & Kitchen. Let me start with the service: the server began by bringing bread, which is always a win for me—that was probably the best part of the visit. She then took our drink order. We asked for water and sweet tea. We didn’t request lemons, nor were we asked about lemons, but the water came loaded with what felt like three entire lemons. It was so overpowering and sour that it could have been used to clean tables instead of being served as a drink. On top of that, the restaurant had an unpleasant smell, almost like something shady was happening in the back. Now the food—oh my goodness. I ordered my steak medium-well, but what came out was well, well, well done. It was so overcooked and overseasoned that it tasted like they were trying to hide something—maybe old meat. The ribs were no better: dry, bland, and just plain awful. Honestly, the whole plate felt like trash. I don’t usually leave harsh reviews, but this was depressing. Food is supposed to bring comfort and joy, but this meal did the opposite. I’d recommend avoiding this location at all costs. Honestly, McDonald’s could prepare a better steak than what we were served here.

When we first walked In the hosts were horse playing and using profanity. I understand that it was a bit busy but it doesn’t take but a few seconds to sweep a floor, we sat beside this dirty floor for more than an hour. Also, the restrooms were horrible, from the thick dust to the dead bugs. And lastly both appetizers came out cold, she said they were cooking fresh croissants but the second batch was worst than the first, she forgot to put in for a drink I ordered and my daughter had to wait forever on a refill. This is my first bad experience with this chain, we will not be visiting this location again. Please try to pay more attention to your guests and the environment you want them to enjoy a meal in. And the server was busy and no one was helping her, so it wasn’t her fault that she was behind.

Just left the restaurant sat in bar side for over 15 min no hello or service. Even pushed the call server button and nothing. Horrible bar service, can't blame it on being busy because it wasn't.finally getting service on the regular side. Bar people need to do better.

Unfortunately their customer service is horrible. We waited nearly half an hour for an order that shouldhave been read at 6:35 and nowvis 7. Had to go in to get it and order was not even right. Never order curbside here. Horrible.

I had a very disappointing experience at Cheddar’s. The food was mediocre at best, but what really ruined the visit was the service. Our server was rude, dismissive, and acted like we were an inconvenience from the moment we sat down. We had to wait far too long just to be acknowledged, and when we asked simple questions about the menu, the responses were short and annoyed. Orders came out wrong, and no effort was made to fix the mistakes or apologize. Customer service should be a priority, but this location clearly doesn’t care. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting decent service.

waitress was rude. croissants were cold and not fluffy. we then asked for a new waitress. our painkiller drink was too strong and didn't taste good. food was okay but they didn't bring out a steak knife to eat with the steak. baked potato was extremely small. I was disappointed as this was my first time visiting.

Just dont go is all I can tell you. I dont have the words other than...if you are looking for a clean, professional, courteous, peaceful, Fresh food experience...dont go. End to end service was awful. If my sister hadnt just got home from the hospital I wouldn't have bothered! Awful! Leadership & all!

Croissants! Croissants! Croissants! Even my first grade granddaughter would look at this and know that these people truly want all 4 of the croissants they ordered, but sadly the kitchen and management at this Cheddars missed that notation. Also one of the red beans and rice, any type of toppings for the "loaded" potato, gravy for the mashed potatoes and gravy, and 3 of the 4 ordered croissants. so my veggie plate that took over 45 minutes to assemble ended up being one red beans and rice, and a caesar salad with so much hair in it it looked like someone was trimming their hair into my salad. Normally I would call the store to let them know about this or chat with the manager, but he was a big part of the problem. After waiting for almost 45 minutes with other people whose orders had been wrong, or couldn't even get their orders I asked for the manager which proceeded to chide me for being there "early" - apparently it takes at least an hour to improperly spoon up 2 veggie plates - and said he would check on my order - that was the last I saw of him. A Darden trained manger typically would have checked the order and made doubly sure that everything was correct - not with this guy. I knew it would be a waste of my time and the issue wouldn't be addressed, so I am venting here. If I hadn't already paid (and tipped well) for my order I would have left. So now I am sitting here with nothing worth eating, but a big hit on my credit card. This location needs to be closed.

We love Cheddars. My husband loves the bourbon glaze salmon and I love the 6 oz sirloin. Went to this location because we were on a different side of town. We should have left when we were seated next to a large table with two extremely unruly children. They were allowed to scream and run everywhere and ran from their mother who mostly sat texting. The staff were avoiding the are entirely, probably to keep from running into the kids. No manager ever came around and no one asked them to control the children for the sake of the other customers. Our food was tough and overcooked. I left half of my steak which I never do. We tried to get the waitress' attention to pay our bill but never could. We finally left cash on the table for what we thought the bill was and left. Never again.

Utterly ridiculous!! Rude curbside employees. Food was ordered online with a pick up time at 8:53 pm. It's now 9:11 pm and I'm still waiting. Called the restaurant and was on hold for 12 minutes. Advised I've been waiting and employee stated they are backed up and disconnected the call. First and last time at this Cheddars. Had to go warm food up in the microwave

Although the food at this location is/was "ok", the place itself is/was utterly disgusting and makes you NOT want to eat the food! It's dirty and nasty, try cleaning your tables and cleaning the floor around the tables before you sit your customers down to enjoy their meal; I mean, who wants to eat around dirty surroundings, maybe your manager, since that's who should be making sure the place is nice and inviting. I don't even want to think on how the kitchen looks! Our waitress, "Alisheya", was very kind and attentive, props to her for doing such a great job. She deserves a better place to work for!

Lets start with the Manager on 03/07/2026, around 7pm My family and i came in we had a party of 11. The hostess was so nice and she was trying to accommodate us by any means. We ORIGINALLY set a reservation online, reservation only allowed 6 guest so we booked 2, we asked to be seated together and He IMMEDIATELY interrupted the hostess multiple times and told her it was going to be an hour wait and he couldn’t promise us seats together. We still decided to wait he walked off and shook his head. THEN after an hour he had them sit us in the very BACK of the restaurant. The restaurant was DIRTY, tables were halfway cleaned just a mess, our waiter TY expressed to us SEVERAL times that he was ready to GO and was getting our orders all wrong because he was RUSHING trying to leave. Our food was HORRIBLE burnt & over cooked. This restaurant needs so much etiquette training it’s ridiculous. I wish we had the Tall young lady like we had before our food was good and fresh and she checked on us periodically. MESQUITE would never.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. I joined the waitlist through the app while on the way, and it stated there was no wait time. However, when my party of four arrived, we waited at the front for about five minutes while the host searched for a table, despite the app indicating no wait. Once seated (front right-hand side near the exit), we were only provided three menus and three sets of silverware, even though we clearly mentioned that a fourth guest was joining us. Our server greeted us and took our drink order, and shortly after, our fourth guest arrived. When the drinks and croissants were delivered, the server asked if we were ready to order. We explained that we needed a moment since our fourth guest had just sat down. Unfortunately, after that, our server did not return to our table for approximately 45 minutes. During that time, we observed him attending to other tables and handling to-go orders. Not once did he check back to see if we were ready to order. Given that we were there during our work break and had limited time, this was extremely frustrating. We attempted to speak with a manager and asked if he was the manager. He responded that he was busy and would return shortly; however, he never came back to address our concerns. Our server eventually returned only after we called out to the manager. He apologized, and at that point, we offered to simply pay for our drinks and leave. He told us not to worry about it. To make matters worse, my friend later called the restaurant to speak with the manager directly. She was placed on hold for 30 minutes just to discuss the situation. When she was finally able to speak with him, she was told, “Sorry, can’t really do much about it.” That response was extremely disappointing. As a manager, we expected a higher level of professionalism and some effort to make things right. What makes this especially upsetting is that this visit was meant to be my birthday lunch. Instead of being an enjoyable experience, it was stressful and disappointing. Waiting 45 minutes without being acknowledged or checked on, followed by the lack of concern from management, is simply unacceptable. I truly hope this matter is taken seriously so that future guests do not have a similar experience. I would appreciate a response regarding how this situation will be addressed.

The wait was manageable. However once seated, we were presented with wet and dirty dishes. We returned them. I had to request a replacement meal twice because it arrived cold. Additionally, I had to remind our waiter that we had not received our drinks, even though our food had already been served. The bathrooms were in a state of disarray, with strange liquids scattered across the floor. It was evident that the manager didn't care to the situation.

This was the most irritating experience I’ve ever had. We waited 25-30 minutes for a table to be ready then after ordering right away, everything—foods, drinks & alcohol. The first alcoholic beverage came out watered down as you could tell it was sitting for awhile. Every beer ordered was not available. We then waited 2 hours for our server to end up telling us that she had no idea when our food would come. The manager came and informed us that they do not provide military discount and was only willing to offer 50% off. I then ask for another round on him which he could not provide then we provided a time frame of 7pm. If the food was not available, we was leaving. The manager informed us that it would be past 7pm so we decided to request the check and leave. Absolutely the most disappointing experience I’ve had. The waitress recognized me from my job as a manager so I ended on being able to tip highly. It was not the waitresses fault, it was evident that her staff and management had no regard of her tables or maybe even the check she needed. Either way, 100% never attending again as there was no compromise of even regard for the simple fact that we waited over 2 hours. Pretty sad for this specific environment. We are trying to make the cliff better—this is the reason people talk so much. Good luck being able to get served here in a timely manner. Expect to spend quite some time.

Took Mother for Valentines date. Waiter Steven was absolutely wonderful. Atmosphere great. Food...horrible chicken tenders cold & dry. Sent back created another different order....second order was worse...told Steven to place it to go. Didn't eat meal there. Won't be back...maybe another location. Was not happy

No one should walk in an establishment and your host not greet you!! No greeting, just asked "how many". Then when he takes us to our seat, he waves the menu for us to follow him. Once he seats us. NO ONE comes to take our drink order or even say "hi, im ...., give me a second and ill be right with you". After being at this booth for 10mins and NO type of acknowledgement. I left. There's no need to stay with the service starting off very poorly. My presence didn't mean anything and neither did my money.

My wife and I went to this location today for lunch around the time they opened. We both went to the restroom first, and thank goodness we did. Both restrooms were a mess. There was grime and hair on the toilets and urinal, and one of the sinks had some sort of black/green creature growing on it. When we walked out of the restroom we noticed finger smears all over one of the booth windows. If it was the end of the night this would be more understandable, but the fact that the restaurant had just opened shows it was not properly cleaned. We didn’t want to know what the kitchen looked like, so we decided to go elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend eating here until they learn how to clean the restaurant.

The tenders were just mid, like something you’d nuke in a microwave and forget about. Fried, bland, and giving zero effort, like a group project partner who just shows up for the credit. The rice? Yo, this was some next level shade in grain form. Clumpy, tasteless, like an Asian chef got beef with the world and decided to ruin our day. It was giving “I’m mad and you’re gonna feel it” energy. I am really big on Customer Service. The experience at the location on LBJ Freeway was very disappointing. Let’s begin with the wait. Our information was put in incorrectly by the hostess, so therefore we were waiting for an excessive period of time as we watch people coming in after us be seated secondly, we were set at a dirty table and then the food was horrible. The salmon was overcooked and they redo order wasn’t any better because I was given a bite-size piece of salmon. After speaking with the manager, she offered free queso wow like I’m really coming back to this restaurant.. oh, I forgot about the 15% discount. Are you kidding me? Look at these pictures and tell me would you eat this?? Keep in mind, I took one small bite of the first salmon entrée and realized it was charged hard and dry. In return, I get a bite-size portion of salmon. This is ridiculous. Keep in mind, the chart salmon they had it turned over where it wasn’t noticeable, but the bite was horrifying. I gave them a full size piece of salmon that was chard and an edible and then return I was giving a child proportion piece of salmon. . So another customer near me ordered the exact same entrée and compare my salmon to hers. Her salmon is the last pic on the white plate. It Is not comparable.

Update: I don't know how this place stays open. WE decided to give them another try today around 4pm. The hostess told us to go order at a counter, which we tried to do. we waited. And waited. Asked her again 10 minutes in - she said she would send someone out to take our order. So we waited some more - still no one, after 30 minutes and asking 3 times for someone to help us we have up and left. no one acknowledged us as we walked out - maybe it was because the sewer fumes you could smell in the bar area had made it too hard to do their jobs, or care that they had one. No more. Save your time and money and go some place (preferably a local business) that appreciates you and your business. I want to like this Cheddars location - it is close to my home, and we love the vegetable plate option. But every time I decide to give it a try, it is a huge disappointment. We only do takeout because the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The takeout staff seems to be spending more time on their personal phones, and not attending the togo area than taking care of customers, and I don't ever remember a time when they got our order right. How hard can a vegetable plate be? I guess pretty hard! It took over 30 minutes during a slow period to get our food. A perfect example is the photos I took of the croissants we ordered. Same order - completely different look and taste. The red beans and rice seemed to have hot dogs in it instead of sausage, and the fries were so cold they were inedible. Presentation is a joke - there is none. This used to be a great value, but no more. Save your money and go somewhere that appreciates your business.
