I have been in here to the dripping Springs store a couple of times during the COVID-19 pandemic and the service has been impeccable. Decided to come here because some of the other drive-through‘s were packed and this place is fast, order correct and the staff are very accommodating nice and bubbly. Highly recommend it good job management.

I was here almost 2 years ago, and I was house sitting for my parents in Dripping. It was nice to have something familiar so close to their home especially since I was a little under the weather. I'm addicted to their limeades, and it was the perfect pick me up little treat.

Sonic is An Average Fast Food to eat at its Not One of the Greatest Fast Food but I still love going here and getting the Food that I know will be Delicious. Keep up the great work Sonic you guys are doing great 👍

Go to this location frequently and it's typically pretty average service. Tonight we had the new girl take our order and she was excellent. It's the first time in a long time someone properly made my cherry vanilla coke slushie! Good job megan!

It’s not glamorous to admit but every once in a while I love this place. Hot dog with mustard & relish, tots (!) and a frozen lemonade — summer!! About twice a year but the staff is friendly and food hits the spot!! They now take debit or credit cards as well.

The app is so easy to use and much easier then trying to order through the speaker. Quick service and the new crave cheeseburger(with cheddar) was yummy. Best ice cream in town!

As far as fast food and Sonic drive thrus go, this location is one of the best, hands down. Food is always hot and delicious, and the service is fast and polite. If you're looking for good fast food that's actually fast, this is the place to go.

This is a nice location with awnings for shade where you park for service. We enjoyed typical fast food today, a chili cheese dog and a crispy chicken sandwich. I had some tater tots as well. When my wife tried her Coke it was flat, so our server offered to replace it with a chocolate milkshake! The food was hot and fresh and service was attentive and helpful. If you are looking for a drive in experience in this area, my advice is try this place.

This sonic location has the best cherry limeade’s – get size medium - of any sonic I have ever been too! Sonic ice is the best! And you can’t beat half-price, happy hour drinks or half-price drinks on the app. This is my go to shopping refreshment.

Sonic is Sonic. Same reliable food everyday. What impressed me was to see the server running in and out to deliver the customers food. Few people don't put that effort into their job.

Pretty good fast food. Fun place. I wish trash cans were easier to reach without leaving my car. Like their shakes.

My son wanted to eat at sonic and i was nervous driving up seeing all the stalls were full except the one we pulled in. I just knew our wait for food would be long BUT I was wrong! Food was delivered quickly! Thanks Sonic in Dripping Springs!

Good service, best Sonic in the area, I tend to use the app, but even when I can't get signal at the store (it's in a dead zone i think), they're good about taking care of things. Only down side they've cut up one of the foot long hot dogs (NOT all beef) when I've ordered 2 regular all beef hot dogs before, maybe they were out?

Love the half off lime aid every day from 2-4! They have the normal bays and a drive through at this location. Food is average fast food; service is normally pretty good

This place is a great fast food restaurant for a road trip meal, or a last minute dinner. However, the speaks on their drive in are quiet, and their burgers are indeed a bit greasy. A decent place overall.

Pop corn chicken combo was pretty good. The breading wasn't super thick like other times. Fries were 5/10, edible just not my favorite texture. They didn't offer any dipping sauce for the chicken.

Quick service, friendly over the microphone and food was good, up to Sonic standards. Could have used a little more strawberry in the strawberry lime aid, lime is powerful flavor but it was still good. Food was hot, correct the first time, with sauces and napkins. Good job!

The service was great the wait time was ok. I ordered three meals and all three of us had complaints about our sandwiches. Mine specifically the bread was burnt n the fish was chewy n my sister said hers had a cooked in old grease taste, so i hate not being able to give two thumbs up to any body muchless a small town restaurant and that being the small town i live in. But regardless if u serve the public ur service n product being served has to b up to par or better. Lots of competition to feed the people out there so being on ur "A GAME" is a must. So one thumb is all i can do at this time

The four stars are relative to other fast food restaurants and not full service dining. I rarely if ever have bad food at this Sonic and I'm a picky eater. The food here is always hot and I received my last order so fast I had to think if I'd ordered ahead on-line...I didn't! I quit using the Sonic app because there's no where to tip on a credit or debit charge and that doesn't make sense to me. BTW, the only reason I don't give Sonic a fast food 5 are the fries. I cannot get crispy fries here no matter how many times I ask so I've quit eating fries here. Problem solved...but I sure would like crispy fries with my chili cheese dog! Bon appétit!

Do you know when you’ve had a really busy day and all you wanna do is grab something quick to eat, well today was one of those days. I stopped at the Dripping Springs Sonic and ordered some crispy well done onion rings, and a medium Coke with extra ice And to my satisfaction that’s what they did make to order! YEA… service was quick, friendly as the delivered them to me. I so enjoyed my crispy onion rings! Thanks sonic guys.

Decent drink place, fast food is meh

App needs improved. Had issues again. But ordering was ease. Hate the rolling seasonal menu goes fast & seems like the employees are not sure what they are. This time the order was fast. Prepared correctly. Yummy.

It's Sonic. Consistent from one restaurant to any other. I like their Strawberry lime-aid, tots are good. Sometimes you want fast food that doesn't come from a King or a place with a big golden butt (arches) sticking up in the air. Sonic is a good alternative. Bonus ordering at Sonic is very interactive.

It’s fine as long as you expect to wait - a LONG time for your order. Never fewer than 15 minutes.

I ordered 5 Route 44 slushies that day. When I got them, every one of them was already melted! Pour drinks last on large family orders! No one likes a melted slush!

Love Sonic. Hamburger patties were cool in the two sandwiches I ordered, cheese was not melted. Poor quality control it seems that day.

Great/poor (Hancock, Canyon Lake, TX) ... Depending on time of day. Daytime is great. Everthing works, employees nice and meals are wonderful, but come evening when the specials start, the burgers are terribble/stale and the ice cream machine doesn't work when it did at 7:00pm. 2 weeks straight now. How odd. I drive 24 more miles to Bulverde, TX and everything is perfect. Talk to Chris and Amy?? Please. Thank you.

This is the same sonic as every one in the USA. The foot long chili dog is the star of the show food wise. Otherwise get a drink and move on.

Love their ice! But this trip I had cheese-steak sandwich and fried mushrooms. Was happily surprised at how good it was!

The service wasn't bad. Very nice carhop. Got a hot dog. There was so much ketchup and mustard on it that it was difficult to finish. I wanted to taste the hot dog not just the condiments.

It seemed like there was a shortage of staff. But the person who served us explained that so we can't fault them for having to cover too many parts of the restaurant.

French fries were very salty, staff was super busy, the menu signs are too close together on the far side Row. The crispy chicken burger was delicious.

Typical sonic, good food but 10x slower than they should be. Still sitting here 20 minutes after the app said my food would be ready.

First, it's hard to rate this type of establishment since I normally would not eat here. That being said, it was good for a late-night pitstop while traveling on the road. The service was quick and the hospitality was good. However, it was hard to hear the cashier at the pull-up screen and the touch screen was not adequate. I enjoyed my totes and strawberry milkshake. However, my tenders were dry. This is not a place I would return to if there are other options available. I feel it's time for some modernization. A fresh new look and technology would serve them well.

The food is usually good and orders are correct.. my issue is with half the screens being broken.. every one I've used the touch screen does not work and can not add a tip for employees and I usually don't have cash. The broken screens are robbing employees of tip money

Its good in a pinch but they almost never do the order correctly which is a shame but, there's plenty of other restaurants to eat at.

Service has definitely gotten friendlier and you can tell new management is trying hard to improve and store looks cleaner but I still can't seem to get my order right today was disappointing I just got a blob of cheese sticks but was on my lunch and couldn't go back still paid full price for the order

Service was fast and the server was friendly. However, the Ched-R-Peppers were out of this world tough... Something completely unchewable. On the plus side, the bag had a familiar carnival smell that brought back fond childhood memories.

Lettuce is always kind of gross and brown-ish. Today i tried the limited time fish sandwich. It's was absolutely disgusting. It didn't even taste like fish; couldn't finish it. Tartar sauce was very weak as well. Please do not order the fish sandwich!!

Iced tea was watered down. When I asked about it, they said their tea is always brewed that week. I said that is not true because I’ve gotten team before there was actually Amber colored instead of waterey . Chicken sandwich was overcooked and dry

They got our order wrong. One of us ordered the chicken sandwich, which was so hard and chewy that it tasted like it had been cooked 3 times.

Pulled into a slot, pushed the call button, it didn't lite up so we weren't sure if it was working, waited about 5 minutes(listened to a whole song)no response, figured it was broken, pulled into a different slot, pushed call button, it did lite up, so we waited....5-7 minutes(1 1/2 songs) no response, decided to go to Dairy Queen down the road

Went for a couple of drinks in between baseball games, took over 15 minutes to receive our order. When we finally got order, we rushed back to our field and I started drinking my sweet tea to find out it was unsweet tea. It wasn't happy hour, so I was pretty upset paying over $3 for a drink that was incorrect.

Ordered over app and 2/3 drinks were right. Receipt was also right but got an incorrect drink so I just asked for the correct one. No biggie. Waited 20 min after asking and never got it, and I had to leave bc I was on lunch break…not the first time this has happened :-/

Always disappointed with my experience here. Either the food is cold/wrong or the service is rude/slow. I wish Drip was served better by this location.

I ordered a number 7 and received it fast. I noticed the hotdog appeared to have been sitting out for quite some time, as it was a bit dry. The tots I received were cold too. Now a couple of hours later my stomach is feeling it, and is not feeling good. I will say that their ice cream is ok. I ordered a Blast with Reese’s cups, and 90% of the Reese’s was at the top, and nothing at the bottom; wasn’t mixed very well

Stall #16 had a broken screen so I couldn't use my card. The carhop, Hailee, was extremely rude when she delivered my food. I have know clue why or what I did to make her so upset with me. I had cash ready to tip, but after the interaction I decided not too. I probably will be steering clear of this location in the future

I walked to my local neighborhood sonic with my lovely wife as the sunset in the gateway to the hill country on a cool April evening. Just minutes after ordering, a roller blade clad gal jotted out the door with my Oreo blast. It felt like the 1950s under the white fluorescent lights. A truly perfect evening. The first 10 bites were exquisite. That’s when I realized that the Oreos were simply dropped on top - not mixed in. What am I supposed to do with the remaining half of my blast? The economy is down 10% because of the tariffs. Apparently sonic is already cutting back on the amount of Oreos it puts in blasts. Now I feel like I am in the 1920s eating plain vanilla ice cream with no toppings as the world slips into another depression.

Went at 8:40, restaurant was listed as open until 11. All lights turned out at 9 after waiting 20 minutes for service.

We arrived at 9:59 on a Saturday to order a cream slush after fireworks. The worker answered the order system, waited a minute, and then said “we are closed”. Terrible customer service.

What a complete disappointment! Ordered 3 Breakfast Tacos and half the ingredients are missing! the sausage patty was WHOLE and just thrown in the middle. The breakfast sandwich toast was BLACK it was so burnt! The slush machine is broken so no slushies and they told me they couldn't make strawberry drinks so I received a gross lime/ water/ sprite drink with 2 WHOLE LIMES in it! Not even in slices! A WHOLE UNJUICED LIME! This food was for my office coworkers so what an embarrassment on my part for even suggesting Sonic. $30 wasted.

It seems like every time we go they get our order wrong or don't take out what we DONT want in. We've ate at other sonics( Fredericksburg, Brady, San Angelo, etc.) and they are far better. Wish D.S. Sonic was better.

Onion rings and chicken strips inedible. It didn't even taste like chicken. It tasted like it had been cooking the day prior and microwaved or something. I had to throw all the food away.

Ordered food, 4 things, it's been 25 minutes and no food, nor is anyone is responding to the button calls. We already paid, but feeling like it's not worth it to keep waiting. Go elsewhere

Most dis functional Sonic I’ve ever been to. They need a better operating system, new management, and new staff. Otherwise they should just close this location

The place is falling apart. It isn’t what it use to be. At one point they only had one guy working, he goes by junior. Wow. Bag of ice took 20min when it use to take 5 or less. I think they simply don’t care about the location anymore

Waited almost 20 minutes. Went in and the ice cream was sitting on the counter. They brought it out It was completely melted. Waste of money

It's always a gamble what service you will get at this location. 2:30 on a Friday afternoon and after waiting 10+ minutes after hitting the red button just to order we gave up and drove away.

The service at thus place has gone drastically down hill. It took over 5 minutes from the time it said our server Katrina was headed out way till she finally showed up. Our order was simply 3 drinks.

Have been going to this Sonic since it opened. Have lived in Dripping Springs since 1979 and was glad to see it open. Recently the food has been going down hill. Stopped In on 1-10 for a late lunch and ordered my favorite the Footlong Cheese Coney. To my disappointment the food was ice cold and the bun was tore into five separate pieces and the tater tots were so salty I could not eat them. Heated the coney up when I got home but was not the quality I was use to getting at Sonic. I hate to see this happen to your business and do not want to see you go the way of the Dairy Queen across Hwy.290 but will not be going back anytime soon. Hope things get better soon.

Staying with my sister for a couple days. Tried to go to Sonic both days. Two days in a row i waited over 10 minutes for somebody to take my order after pressing the red button. Nobody ever did. I left both times.

Remember Dairy Queen across the street? Well, I never thought I'd say it, but I miss them. The service at this Sonic is SO bad that if my son didn't want a Blast every now and then, I would never go here. Consistently out of stock (M&M's? REALLY?!?! HOW?), poorly made product when they DO have inventory, service is obviously browbeaten into depression. Did the DQ owner buy this dump?

Ordered a burger with easy lettuce and onions, got no onions with 1 small piece of lettuce no bigger than a quarter with hardly any sauce. Supposed to come with ketchup and mayo. Had no ketchup and a small amount of mayo the size of a dime. Truly sad service.

The food was as expected but everything else was terrible, I wanted to express a reasonable concern about this Sonic's choice to use 3rd party pos systems rather than the ones that intergrate into the sonic stalls. But the way I was treated by the management was outright deplorable, from the time I arrived i saw seemingly a train of baby-faced teens none of whom had any idea of what was going on. I finally spoke to the manager, 6' or so, black shirt & pants, short hair and beard to match. Spoke to me without regard to my options as a customer, did not seek to find a solution to our issue, and the whole time every time he finished a sentence he would start to walk away till I responded, like he's trying to run off!

Ordered a cherry lime aide .. whoever took my card charged me $11 plus the $4 for the large cherry lime-aide. I assumed this charge was a mistake and would fall off but nope, that guy who took my card legit charged me $11 and $4 and left it. This makes me uncomfortable to give any of them my card to take back inside to run because they could be charging multiple charges etc

Welcome to the Sonic from hell. None of the kiosk menu credit card slots work, employees have to run in to process your order. Takes 5 minutes just to order a bag of ice. It is comical to come to this location, its a challenge, but great ice. You would think the owners would care, but they don't, sad

Ordered the chicken strip meal, and 2 burger meals. We asked for Ketchup and BBQ sauce. Never got them had to go back. Texas toast was not Texas toast. Was dry and over cooked. Chicken was poor quality.

On 8/25/23 Store was open with only ONE person working. Waited 15mins after pressing the red button and no one answered the button push. Went inside and asked if it was broken. Was told by the lady inside she is there by herself and doing everything from making food to taking orders. How is it possible for a restaurant to be open when there is only ONE person working. Doesn't that break a few laws and regulations??? Never coming back.

Hadn't been to this location in a long time. The staff is really nice, but this location needs a major overhaul. The screens don't work and it hasn't been power wased in a very long time. There was o lying 1 car hop working today and he kicked butt. I've been waiting about 20 minutes for my food, granted it is lunchtime, but come on. The owner of this location needs to be here helping. Not cool!

I got here at 8:30am it’s not 8:50 and I still haven’t gotten my food. It’s me and 1 other car here. When I pressed on the red button to just check in and make sure it wasn’t something I did on my end before I could say anything the girl working got short and defensive with me saying she was the only one and started listing all her duties that she had to do alone. I said I was sorry but still was took back by how she talked to me. I was not trying to be rude. I honestly thought maybe my card didn’t go through and my order was canceled. I’m not sure. It was very uncomfortable

We used the qpp to order and then arrived here 20 minutes later(when we said we would) and it immediately said our order was being delivered. Then it took 40 whole minutes for us to get our order (of one burger and a thing of fries). Clearly their machine is broken and they have terrible customer service.

This has to be one of the worst Sonics in existence. Ordered online ahead of time, showed up when they said it was going to be ready and they waited 30 minutes to even acknowledge me after pushing the button. Said “yeah we’re backed up”. Food was cold and gross. Please save your time and money and go somewhere else!

I went to pick up my online order today Monday November 10th 2025 at 12:40 PM and I had to wait over 15 minutes to get it even after previously been placed online. I only have 30 minutes for lunch so needless to say this waiting already ruined my lunch break. However, even after the long wait they still gave me the wrong order, and I had to wait another 15 minutes for the correct order. I spent over 30 minutes waiting for a simple order (one burner and one side). I don’t know if they are understaffed or the crew just doesn’t care, but the situation in this restaurant should improve if they want to keep customers around. I would never visit this locations again.

I came into sonic on a weekday morning, and was greated kindly and professionally by whoever took my order. I was excited to enjoy my food, but it took a turn. The person who brought my food to me (Kaylen?) had a very rude and impatient attitude, just for having to take my card in when the payment terminals didn't work. She also reeked of cannabis! Yuck! The food was amazing, but Kaylen made me never want to spend money at this location

I would give zero stars if I could. Every time I’ve been to this sonic location, the very young staff has been incredibly rude for no reason. The time it takes to take an order, fulfill it and deliver it is extremely long. Just go to what a burger.

This Sonic is consistently disappointing. They are always out of stock on food items, yet still take your order and payment through the app. When they can’t fulfill the order, they issue refunds at the store, even though app purchases can’t be refunded there, causing delays and confusion. I’ve had to wait weeks to get my money back, only to be told to call corporate. Corporate then refuses to issue the full refund and instead offers coupons that don’t even match the amount owed. They also never include sauces, even when they’re clearly listed on the receipt. Wait times are always long, no matter how busy it is. Poor management, poor inventory control, and zero accountability from both the store and corporate.

i just wanted my mozzy sticks bruh ordered ahead a dr pepper and mozzarella sticks with pickup time at 5:10. showed up a lil early and checked in then proceeded to watch everyone else get their food while i waited for 20 minutes. tried to call the number on the stalls but no answer and carhop just ignored me and my app said completed but no food :( had somewhere to be so i couldn’t wait anymore and just left

Gave me m&m blast instead of what I ordered then gave me the correct order with an Oreo blast with Oreos on top but not in the rest of it. General manager argued about getting the order wrong in the first place, took me blast and then only refunded one of the 2 problem items. Also, the bathrooms stank SO bad and were not clean. Will never stop here again.

Dripping Springs, Texas Location It’s been a while since we had a cherry limeade and tater tots. Ordered a route 44 cherry limeade and either they changed the recipe to use an artificial sweetener or they gave me a diet cherry limeade. Unfortunately it wasn’t the refreshing taste we remembered. On to the tater tots. I couldn’t taste the tater tots due to all the old flavors in the oil. My taste buds were overrun with tastes of fish and other things that I couldn’t identify. We will try other Sonics to compare. The cherry limeade might’ve been a corporate change. The tater tots though I can’t imagine an order from corporate saying don’t change the fry oil until you get a bunch of complaints.

Slow service. Ordered 4 combos, they claimed we had ketchup on the bags which we didn’t, and they didn’t bother to bring a drink carrier either. After 5 minutes they come back to give change and drink carrier then after another 5 minutes they only bring 5 ketchups. After a 20% tip I’d expect better service, there’s a reason why fast food places are seeing less business. You expect a tip and give poor service.

Worst “fast food” service in town. We pressed the red button and waited 25 minutes for Saturday lunch, no one answered to update us. We even tried changing booths because we thought maybe ours was broken. Someone was not with us shortly. Most of the parking lot was empty. We ended up leaving
