Great to see this place is still in Ranelagh. Had not been there for many years and it is still as good as ever. Very reasonably priced with delicious food and attentive staff.

We have been going to Venezia's for many years and can never once fault the service or food. The staff are always so welcoming and it's always an enjoyable relaxing setting

This is the best Italian food I have had in Ireland. They gave us a special accommodation for our large party and then went above and beyond with the service. I will definitely be eating there next time I am in dublin.

Antica Venezia is a hidden Gem in Dublin. They serve some very tasty italian food in that place. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Friendly and quick service and a moderate bill. Great value for money. I'll be back for more!

Excellent food that’s well prepared and presented. We had the salmon special and the lamb, both were excellent! Wine is good selection and not overpriced. The place is small so be prepared to get comfortable with your neighbors. Highly recommended while in Dublin.

Our dishes were works of art, and equally delicious. The pappardelle was scrumptious and tended to arrabbiata. Wonderful! The staff was extraordinarily friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, Very nice interior. Can’t wait to go back and try some more.

Heard about their seafood risotto and it did not disappoint. Delishly rich sauce, lovely fresh clams. Service professional and attentive. Owners came to check in on our table. Proper family spot 🤌

Service: The service was excellent. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The wait staff was very attentive, bringing us a bottle of water and the menu. Throughout the meal, they were always attentive to our requests and offered recommendations from the house. 5/5 Food: We ordered a starter of bruschetta it was fast, which was perfectly seasoned and fresh, with a reasonable portion size for sharing. For the main course, we ordered two dishes, The first was ‘Tonnarelli all'uovo Bolognese,’ a traditional homemade pasta with Bolognese sauce. It had a special flavour that made it clear it was homemade, well balanced with a hint of sweetness in the sauce that went perfectly with the al dente pasta, The portion was adequate, despite looking a little small on such a large plate (don't be fooled, the portion is sufficient) and a ‘Rissotto Alla Venezia’, a seafood risotto, The rice was cooked to perfection and tasted very good, except that it felt like the seafood (prawns and clams) had been cooked separately and not with the risotto itself, losing a little of that combination of flavours when eating, It had a small sauce that was excellent, and mixing the protein with the risotto gave it a completely delicious taste. For dessert, we ordered a tiramisu, which was exquisite with a firm and delicate cream, with a unique coffee flavour, perfectly harmonious. Every dishes was no more than 5-7min. 4.7/5 Atmosphere: it feels like a cosy place, with attentive and friendly staff, light music allowing for an evening suitable for chatting and laughing with your partner or family. The décor makes you feel at home, comfortable and relaxed, in a very unique and picturesque way. 5/5

We received impeccable service from the very first moment. From the starter to the main course and dessert, everything was wonderful. The atmosphere is beautiful, pleasant and welcoming. The food arrived quickly and we felt very comfortable the whole time. We will definitely return and highly recommend the restaurant.

We had a really great meal today as an (adult) family of 5 out for a Christmas celebration. We ordered 3 starters plus the special crab ravioli as well as 4 main courses plus the salmon special main course. We shared many of the dishes between us and all thought the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. It was a lovely day and we will definitely be back! Many thanks!

Highly recommend enjoying a tasty meal with great service and great atmosphere. I had the Christmas menu which is thankfully not turkey and ham. Lisa and her colleagues looked after out table of 10 superbly. We pre booked our table so no wait.

Came here for dinner a few weeks ago. Great food and great service! Starter was great and the mains were excellent (the pizzas are recommended)! Furthermore, the homemade Tiramisu for desert was incredible! Will happily return and I would highly recommend! Note: the street parking around the restaurant in front of the homes is €3/hour. Not the restaurant’s fault, just a note for customers.

This came location recommended to us and we were not disappointed! Beautiful food, tasty with a varied selection to cater for all tastes in an intimate venue which can cater for groups as well as just two people. Prices are reasonable and the team are very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Well worth a visit.

We had our staff Christmas party here last night. It was a big deal for us as we are closing the business so it was our last one. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and we had a thoroughly enjoyable night .. could not recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for making our special night a memorable experience.

We love this restaurant. It is family-run, always of the highest quality, in terms if both food and friendly, welcoming service, and we always leave having had a lovely evening. Tonight we had one of the specials; beef ravioli in a Chianti sauce, topped with crispy leeks. It was, and I mean it, divine. Here's hoping it makes the main menu in time. 10/10!

Truly Italian experience. Excellent food quality and service. I felt the freshness of the ingredients of my food and the good intention that the food was made. Prices are fair and nice wine list. I’ll go back again and again

Amazing place, great service, fair value for the early bird menu. Very good mussels for starter and hake fish, desserts was ok, but I’d expect more for the price. Not complaining, but didnt like the bread used on the bruschetta. Worth of 4 stars.

Excellent food with friendly staff. The part of the restaurant I was sitting at was a bit too warm, but aside from this, it was a very good dining experience.

It was our first time in Dublin, and I must say the place was nice, though a bit small and surprisingly noisy. The pasta and pizza we ordered were both delicious, and the staff were generally polite. However, there was a bit of a confusion with our drink order since the waiter didn’t quite understand that we wanted still water/tap water and no other drinks. We had to explain it three times in a row, which was frustrating, since the order was simple and easy to follow.

I visited Antica Venezia for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant itself is very cosy with a good atmosphere. The menu is terrific and well priced. The food myself and my husband ordered was delicious. The staff were good but after our meal we ordered 2 coffees. My husbands arrived but after a further 10 minutes I had to ask again for mine. This is the only reason I have not given 5 stars. We will definitely be back.

Squid ink pasta special with prawns was fantastico and so was the tiramisu 🤤 The prawns in my opinion were a bit overdone, and that is the only reason I have not given this 5-stars. Amazing staff who are very pleasant to deal with. I will definitely be back very soon!

Three of us were fitted in upstairs, which was very good of our hosts as it was a busy Saturday night. The Lasagne was outstanding.. apparently made to the same recipe over many years. Attentive service. A bit noisy initially as there were two large groups in, but hey, this in Dublin!

K

Five fairly large adults, would have been more comfortable if three adults did not have their backs to v busy waiters going up and down , food lovely but table space for the three adults not relaxing. Felt we could not relax decided not to have extra wine or dessert.

We had a delicious meal and great service but we were seriously disappointed by how we were treated at the end of our meal. We had 4 adults and 1 child attend for the 7.30 sitting. We advised that we would have a child with us when we made the booking. Our 5 year old was very well behaved for the meal and about 10 minutes before we left she got a bit upset and one of the adults with our party took her outside to wait for the taxi. Before they stepped outside, as we were paying the bill, the lady who I assume was the manager, asked us if everything had gone OK with our meal. We said yes and that we had really enjoyed it and she commented that the child with us must be tired, which we agreed with as we were packing up to take her outside, and then she said “we normally have children at the earlier sitting, try to remember that next time”, before immediately walking off and not giving us the chance to respond. If we had been told when we made the reservation that the restaurant required us to attend the earlier booking, that would have been fine, but they were aware that we were bringing a child and nothing was mentioned. To have such a snide comment made as we were packing up to leave and after our child had been so good for 95% of the evening (and as I say, as soon as she started crying she was brought out of the restaurant) really soured our experience. Needless to say, we won’t be back!

Felt very rushed, they wanted the table back quickly, we would have been in and out within an hour if we hadn’t asked for a bit more of a break after main meal and before dessert. Food is lovely and service was good at the start but unfortunately went downhill. It’s a pity as they are there a long time but it just doesn’t seem to be as good as it used to be. Would recommend going later in the evening if you don’t have kids. The tiramisu is delicious.

WORST experience ever! The food was inedible and the service was worse. When I told the waiter that what I ordered wasn't what I got, he told me I was obnoxious and stormed off. The manager and owner then told me he was going through a hard time.. What? So I ordered the Foresta pizza which was supposed to have wild mushrooms, sausage, truffle oil and no sauce. There was no truffle oil. The mushrooms were uncooked button mushrooms and neither the mushrooms not the weirdly pink and sour sausage had been anywhere near a pizza oven. There was pizza sauce (not supposed to be any) and the whole pizza was soggy. My companion had crab ravioli which had clearly come in a bag and been reheated under a heat lamp in a sauce that tasted like diluted thousand island dressing. The 'shrimp' were regular prawns which had been chopped up. This cost 25 euros. I wish I was joking. Terrible food. Gobsmacking rudeness from the waiter followed by being patronised senseless by the manager and owner. Don't give these people your money. They don't deserve it.

I usually only leave reviews when an experience is exceptionally good or deeply disappointing—unfortunately, this was the latter. We had a reservation for 6 p.m., and by 6:04, the waiter informed us we’d need to leave by 8. This time limit wasn’t mentioned when I booked. Two of our friends were running slightly late, and we were rushed from the start—pressured to order quickly and constantly nudged along. About half an hour into the meal, a woman who seemed to be one of the managers approached us. While she started out friendly, her tone quickly shifted. She reprimanded me for two people not showing up, saying they had to turn away others because of it. She also criticised our table because one person ordered only a starter and a drink, and another just drinks—something that felt unnecessarily awkward and frankly quite rude. We also asked several times for more sparkling water and still water, but it never arrived. To top things off, we had to pay using two separate card machines—one for the main bill, and another for a 10% service charge, which wasn’t clearly explained and didn’t seem optional. All in all, the experience felt rushed, judgmental, and uncomfortable. Definitely not somewhere I’ll be returning.
