The best Dairy Queen in Texas is in East Bernard...if you don't believe me then pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.

This is one of the best Dairy Queen locations I have ever been to in my life, and, growing up in South Texas, I have been to a lot of Dairy Queen's. The staff is so nice, the place is clean, and the food is great. It's a regular stop for us.

I love this place. I've never had DQ until three weeks ago, I love the burgers and the fries are amazing, every time I go there always fresh made.
This place have great specials Monday through Saturday. The sweet tea is awesome, you get that country Southern sweet tea that Luke Bryan talks about.
I go here because it's close to my house. I like some of the specials they have. I also really like their food and especially their ice cream.
This is a traditional stop when my son visits. We always cap our time off with a blizzard on the way back. Will return and make many more memories shared over delicious ice cream.

The food was good and cooked properly. However, the staff has been rude and disrespectful all 3 times I have been there.
Dairy Queen, when you're driving through these little small towns in Texas it's almost a necessity to stop and get you a Frozen treat at dairy Queen,it just makes the trip that much nicer. The service here was friendly and they did their jobs very well, if not very slowly. The blizzards were made with a copious amount of mixes, and mixed thoroughly all the way to the bottom.
We live about 15 minutes away... i love the chilli cheese dog combo...We normally order at drive thru pull around and eat in the parking lot.
Food is always good and fresh. It can be a little pricey but it's great quality. I had a little issue with my ice cream on my last visit, however, it's usually always satisfactory.
a bit misleading with their claim "best chicken n dumplings"...they were ok. too much black pepper and no carrots. wait staff smiled and gave great service
Love going to Dairy Queen. Wish they would smile and let customers know they appreciate their business. There are a few employees who do that but not all.

So this is the second time I get an almost melting cone from this location. One time is fine, maybe something was wrong with the machine but two times in separate occasions is not. The staff is amazing and respectful, but who wants a melting cone? DQ, please fix the temperature or something.

Older DQ. Slow service. Employee running around dining area. French fries cold but hamburger good.
Best burgers in town, not that there's a lot to choose from. Historically long wait. For your sanity, don't go when there's a home game or other event at the school.
Went by and four belly buster combo's. They ok at best. The burgers were a little.
I have been getting a medium sunday regularly for about six months now. I have noticed that the amount of ice cream and chocolate syrup varies depending on who makes it. One time my daughter got a small cone and had more ice cream on her cone than I did in my medium sunday. Not to mention that now hardly no syrup and prices have gone up. Need consistency. Thought they were supposed to weigh it.

This place is so misleading in their advertising. I was coming here expecting my money's worth of food and got shafted big time. Their website said one thing and we got totally cinched out. We wanted to support local people and come here. The burgers were supposed to be large and not Jr's. The fries were small and not what the website said. We won't be back here. They even forgot the cheese on the burgers and instead argued with us. Whatever happened to the Customer is always right????
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Ordered the triple bypass hunger buster and an extra extra extra chocolate XXXtreme blizzard and when the worker came to give me my steamy hot fresh food, he flipped the blizzard upside down in a very angry manner and all of it's chocolately goodness fell onto my BEAUTIFUL plus sized body!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER, although i liked the food :^)
Never fails to amaze me that even when you're the only person in line even ordering a simple burger and fries they still take 20 minutes to prepare it
Place took forever for my order and all I ordered was a burger, drink and ice cream- The wrapper was open already. But the burger was great!!
Absolute worst DQ if not “fast food” restaurant I’ve ever been to. This place does not get into any kind of a hurry even when there’s only one person in the drive thru. They will serve their school first and tell you if you want food they’re not doing it. They will almost always park you in their parking lot and bring your food to you whenever they feel like it. Additionally, if you go through drive thru count on waiting at least 2-3 minutes just for them to answer the call box and another 2-3 before greeting when you come to the window. Customer service is not a phrase they know. True story, if you don’t want to wait as long call ahead at least 30 minutes before coming during lunch or dinner and this “might” help you wait but not likely.
I called in my lunch order at 11:30 am and asked for it to be ready at 12:00 pm. Made it there to pick it up around 12:05 pm. My burger and fries were not at all hot. I also asked for my dude burger to be fried a little longer and that wasn't done. The best part of the meal was the drink. I was so very dissatisfied that I could only eat a small portion. I went back to talk to the manager after work and explained the situation and how very dissatisfied I was with my lunch and also said to her that I still have the meal. Manager replied "I'm so sorry that happened to you, you should have brought it back." I explained that only have a 30 min lunch. Again she replied "I'm so sorry." Me and my husband eat here quite often but this past Saturday 08/23/2025, we received the worst service ever. To begin with a new employee. (Jamison) was taking orders and he didn’t quite understand how the app coupons work, so he asked the so called manager (Dora)on duty for help which she really didn’t want to help him or us. Second of all I had tried to get ketchup out of the dispenser on the counter by the drinks and it was empty so when we were brought our overcooked food in which the patties given to us were cold and hard around the edges, my husband asked for ketchup and the so called manager on duty (Dora) again did not want to help, I had to literally tell her it was empty. Once she filled it up she never brought us ketchup, so I got up and got it myself. Last but certainly not least, my husband had purchased a strawberry sundae in which he always gets the pecans on it. He asked Jamison and Dora about the pecans and she stated “ oh we charge for those,” I proceeded to ask since when? She then said a couple of weeks ago. I then purchased a medium snickers blizzard and asked for the pecans for my husbands sundae, all the while Dora was on her headset asking Jamison what was I doing and saying you should have just given them the pecans after she already stated we had to be charged for them, all the while laughing and playing with the Hispanic cook while he was preparing customers food. He then charged me for the blizzard and a small side of dressing, that is not a side of pecans. If there is not a button to charge for them, then why make up one or use one that is not for pecans. Also playing on the job, and being on your personal phones should not take place while waiting on customers! I then called customer service and I have yet to receive a phone call.

A week ago in the Drive thru. . young Hispanic girl was laughing about what i didn't know after 5 mins she asked me to pull up to the cones , after 15 mins young boy walks to my vehicle to ask what did i order ? So 10 mins. Later i get my food fries, toast was cold chicken was over cooked . Why the long wait ? The girl was laughing was the joke on me ? After reading reviews it's obvious owner doesn't care . I will never go back there again !
Waited at the front counter for more then 10 minutes without being greeted. This restaurant is a failure in maintaining staff and quick service. Everytime I come it takes more then 20 minutes to get food. As a former Restaurant manager this is unacceptable and trash.
Worst Dairy Queen ever. Ordered nachos and asked if I want cheese on them. Said yes. When I received nachos 15 mins later after 3 people who ordered after me got their food and left, it was just chips and cheese..... so if I would have said no to the cheese would I have been served just chips in a bowl???? Where was the meat and all the other toppings that the photo on the menu had??? Why was I charged $9 for just chips and cheese? This stuff ALWAYS happens when I come to this location and none of the workers are wearing gloves.... during a pandemic....

Worst experience ever, called over 100 times and got no answer. The. I waiting at the window of the drive thru for 10 minutes bc they were having speaker problems only to be told that he has something else to do. This not a good thing. I used to enjoy coming to DQ but if it takes this long to get a fast food order. Especially when there is not that many people here. So been waiting for p minutes plus
Sat in line today waited for our ice cream two blizzards to be made by a younger white boy. Took about 10 minutes from the time we placed our order. He throws the blizzards on the counter sideways like he was upset. Picked them back up and put them in a caddy with two ice creams we didn’t order. He rang us up and it was for the order behind us. Our blizzards never were made we told him that wasn’t ours we just had two blizzards. He left shut we window and walked off without saying anything. He disappeared for another 5 minutes and we drove off while the other customers poor ice cream melted. Do better wasted our time and obviously have bad attitudes for no reason. Hope the people behind us don’t have melted ice cream.
I have been on hold for 47 minutes. While I have been on hold I drove to SONIC, placed my order, received my food in about 5 minutes (it was excellent). I can hear the kids working at dairy queen laughing and joking around in between customers at the drive thru. I can also hear everyone's order. I can understand they get busy at times and may forget to pick up the phone. However, this occurs more often than you think. Last time I was put on hold I drove thru the drive-thru placed my order waited in line at least 20 minutes to get my food. I showed the waiter my phone (still on hold) and the time I spent on hold. They just shrugged it off. I'm just thankful none of these kids work for 911 - we would all be .....
Every time I go either i takes over thirty minutes to get my food. Or if it doesn't take forever the order is wrong. The employees don't seem to care that they are ripping off people. Sometime you get a little bit of attitude when you want to get your order corrected. The only reason I go there is because i want dairy queen and i am in town. I would recommend the dairy queen in eagle lake cause atleast there you get what you pay for.
This is Jonathan Pharris's wife, I have lived in east Bernard my whole life and have always loved Dairy Queen until recently, this is the 5TH time I have had to take my orders back within 2 months! I always have to take it back when one certain gentleman is working! I'm not sure if he just doesn't listen and cooks what he wants or what but it's ridiculous! It's not that hard to get an order right! I have been a customer for a while and have never had this issue! I have had to bring food back and so has my husband! Just a fair warning, if the gentleman with piercings in his face and really long hair is cooking, you won't get what you want. Won't be returning for awhile. Just ridiculous. Everyone else is great!
Is DQ allowed dog (NOT A SERVICE DOG) inside the restaurant? The dog was following the teenage girl walking around the dining area and couple times near kitchen side of the counter. It's really not very sanitized. Wait a bit too long for the food at this location. This isn't a first time. The food is OK but my franch fries are so little and very soft. The amount of fries is lot less than before. Not even half of amount they usually give to customers.
Normally I love it, but fast few months going downhill. Music so loud u can't hear the person talking across from you. on a to go order, Our bacon cheeseburger had 1 piece of bacon on them. Unacceptable. Called the manager to tell her to inform her cook to add more, never got an apology or anything from her.
