As Popeyes franchises goes, this is one of the best I've encounter so far. Clean, close to LGA Airport and the food is always fresh. The staff is friendly and welcoming. In a busy day you will wait but it will be worth it. Always good deals and you can park your car for free at the parking lot while eating. Can't beat that in NYC. 😁

I like the staff. They’re very friendly. The store is clean. But oml the lines! Every time I come by I have to wait for forever! There are three cashier booths where they have the system to take the orders, but its always TWO cashiers, sometimes even ONE taking the orders. Like??

I just stopped at this Popeyes and there is only one person in the front and one person cooking. Not good!!! But, they are both doing awesome job.

Once a week at least. That is how frequent i visit this place due to their friendly stuffs and nice sitting environment(plain but, nice and clean with plenty of spaces). As usual, popeyes never seems to fail us in terms of food quality and the taste. Also, this place always has some kind of deals going on and stuffs are fast on getting you what you want. Hanging out with your boys? Want to grab a quick bite with your loved ones? Or maybe want to grab some family deals? This is the right place to do so.

The chicken is always good never greasy you can eat more than two pieces and not get nauseous like some of the other chicken places. the sides are all good and the biscuits are excellent service was very quick and friendly all in all another excellent visit to Popeye's. Thanks for being there.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant and great location. Very quick to fulfil your order and cordial. Popeyes does not have an ingredients list for some reason or maybe I just can't find it but it would be nice to know what the hell the put in their food but this is probably the cheapest fried chicken and great restaurant.

Aside from speed of service, this is the best Popeyes in the city! Large, open and always clean. Quality food and great customer service from the staff here. You'll want to come back even if you're not located nearby.

I went like two days ago, and that line was dumb long bruh. But it came my turn to order, a large ass order of like 16 pieces of chicken, they had it ready in like a minute. So the wait in line was worth the quick service of getting the food to me. Also, every piece of chicken was soft and could pulled off the bone easily. Great job.

Very once in a while, I stop in for my lunch break. The staff is always so sweet. The store is always very clean. It's really nice that they have a parking lot up front. It's nice to have a place like this in such a secluded neighborhood.

I asked her if they had strawberry jam she said no but anyway she check. I told her that if didn't have it it's okay. Let me get honey mustard or barbecue sauce, and she got all of them. Looking for some fast fried chicken 🐔 and some buttery biscuits with scrumptious sides? This is there place. This location offers free parking and fast, friendly service on a very clean facility. The food is always good and the prices are reasonable. Hands down, this is a much better choice than Kentucky Fried Chicken for sure.

Ok ok so I popped it despite my claim that I'm cutting back on all fried food and certainly Al outside foods but they said there's a new chicken sandwich and we'll fried chicken sandwiches are something I love. In the city, I usual go to a spot called the Penrose or in Astoria, a place called the Bonnie. (Urban rumor has it that they have the same proprietor.) So the spicy chicken sandwich at Popeyes - is rather good. My metric for good is when I describe the sandwich this way - it as though they fried a piece of chicken meant to be eaten as just friend chicken and put it in between two buns with sauce and whatever accoutrement they could muster. In short a proper piece of fried chicken is in this sandwich, Unsurprisingly!!!! What I did notice that it the meat was succulent and juicy and yet the fried coating was dry and crunchy. It was an interesting combination of tastes, flavors and textures, an enjoyable one at that. I may try it again, but I recommend you do!

I go out of my way to visit this Popeye's on Astoria Blvd. Service is quick and friendly. The place is always clean. There is always a deal advertised on their window. There is a parking lot for quick in and out.

I notice that lately when we come to this particular Popeye's location on Astoria Blvd, East Elmhurst, they are always out of certain varieties of chicken, sandwiches or sides. They tell you after you have already paid for your order, instead of being honest, they try to say pick something else with things we don't like, we opted for a refund instead and went elsewhere.

Clean, well kept but not too organized! Food is cooked well and the chicken seems fresh all the time. Except this last time I went (11/13/2016) the Tenders I ordered seemed as if they were waiting to be picked. It wasn't horrible, I just noticed the difference. All of the other food ordered was great. Only complaint (thus the 4 stars) are the cashiers Nazmin and Simi need to treat the customers better and smile, react and make people feel welcome. They look like they always have an attitude and yet smile and make jokes among the staff but don't smile with the customers! I hope management sees this and has them change their attitude.

Everything there is incredible, ranging from the taste of the food to the quality! There are even restrooms available and the location is convenient! The only reason I took a star off is because the service is great but slow, and what I mean by that is there is a long line you have to wait on for at least 10- 15 minutes, (from my past experience) and the reason is there aren't enough workers. Still though I would highly recommend this place!

Yes, the chicken sandwich are Good. It’s definitely worth the wait. However this location working system is pretty slow compare to other Popeyes. Some Popeyes will have your food ready within minutes. This Popeyes will sometime take up to 10minute to have everything ready for you. If you don’t want to wait in line then you can order it online and just pick up your order!

Cashier was great, took our order efficiently. Gave us kind notice that we would have to wait on the breast meat for our family meal. All the food seemed fresh, and served with a short wait that ensured that we were served and out the door in a timely manner.

I came in during a trek out to Cititield. I was cold but the food was warm. They were quick to help and prompt with service. It looked remote. There wasn't an overcrowding and the line was well managed. The place was clean.

The crispy chicken and fish sandwiches are delicious. When I'm feeling like having a dessert, I'll get the apple pie 🥧. That also is good, especially if it makes it home with vanilla ice cream 🍦

I recently had the spicy chicken breasts at this spot, and they were fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crispy and crunchy on the outside, while staying juicy and flavorful inside. The spice level hit just right and gave a satisfying kick without being overwhelming. For the price I paid, the meal was incredibly fulfilling and felt like great value for the money. The only downside to the experience was the atmosphere. One of the workers repeatedly shouted “Uncle” to the cook in the back to get orders prepared. While I understand that the team was small (there were only three people working) this yelling disrupted the otherwise enjoyable visit. Even if it was meant to be efficient, it didn’t create a calm vibe. That said, I can cut them some slack, but finding a quieter way to communicate would definitely improve the dining experience.

This place is very clean. Walking in, you'll notice there's no set line. People just kind of line up and it swings the way it needs to, which causes traffic at the entrance/exit. I'd recommend they invest in a partition to alleviate any stress for people trying to leave or come in. The bathroom's very clean as well. It seems the hospitality does a great job at cleaning the area on the hour, which isn't the case for most places. Parking is a bit of a drag, but I guess they make due being on Astoria Blvd. The servers were excellent at taking orders and ensuuring the customer received everything they asked for ... the first time. It shows they care about making customers happy as they greeted each one with a smile and wish them well after they oaid. Take a stop at this location and see for yourself!

The so-called Mean Greens were no so mean; meaning they taste bad with little to no seasoning. I just assumed, the "Mean" implied some heat added (canjun or red pepper flakes). Chicken was good as always but the rice in my Redbeans and Rice was undercook too.

The food was good. The line was to long and now it is too expensive. 2pc w/ mash potatoes and a biscuit $8.15. I could have bought a whole cook chicken, side dish and biscuit for about the same price in the supermarket. Popeyes what's going on with your prices.

I purchase chicken legs from Popeyes. They are overpriced and do not taste very good. Too much batter and less chicken. However, Popeyes is still better than KFC. KFC really is horrible.

Food was very good, the service, not s ok much. The staff was overwhelmed by a very steady Sunday lunch crowd. Two employees on a busy shift is never an easy task.

They will lie to you by the hours on the door. They are done by 10 pm most days. Don’t order po’ boy after 9, cause they can’t make them for some reason. The chicken is good and the cashiers are pleasant.

There’s a tiny parking lot out in front shared a few other stores, During my visit it was almost completely empty and the floor was being mopped with what seemed like dirty water as it smelled pretty bad but none of the employees seemed to mind. Aside from all of that it’s a Popeyes so everything else is almost the same as all the other restaurants.

Positives are the food is good and the place is clean. However, slowest service in fast food I've ever experienced. Theres not even a drive through so I'm confused how they're so backed up. Also, the restroom is out of order?. Can't even sit down and enjoy the food because of that cause god forbid you gotta go. Unless you're taking out and not in a rush, I'd skip this place. I always find it a bit odd to review fast food places, like McDonald's, Burger King, or, in this case, Popeyes. Is there anybody out there who hasn't actually been to these places? It's a bit more "this is what I think…" than an actual review. Generally, Popeyes is one of my favorite fast food places. I like the spices in their chicken breading, and I like many of their sides. However, on this night, while not bad, things were not great. The chicken was actually fine. However, my side (the Cajun rice) was not really hot, and the biscuits tasted like they had been sitting around for quite a while. Given that it was fairly late at night, they probably had been sitting around for quite a while. Further, and this is unfortunately a problem at many Popeyes, the place was a mess. Many fast food places pride themselves on being "cleaner than your kitchen (Though I suppose that depends on how clean your kitchen is), but that certainly wasn't true of this place. The best way to describe it would be "scruffy."

The 3 stars is not for the food but for the service. After having to wait for a long time in line I got to the counter and the guy there tells me that he did not receive my order. I showed him the confirmation email and he said "I understand but if I don't get the ticket I can't give you the order" Finally I asked so what should I do? And he had the nerve of telling he doesn't know. If he doesn't know, who knows? After all, the order was already there but he didn't see it. He didn't even apologize. Also, I dont know if it is just today but there is a long line outside.

Very inefficient and slow staff. Even when there is a huge line or just a few people, the staff here are busy chitchatting, disappearing for extended periods, and in general taking ten to fifteen minutes to serve one client. The chicken sandwich was cold and burned the second time I came here. Staff needs a chili pepper in their butts to HURRY UP and serve people quickly!

They were good at one time but recently the chicken pieces have been smaller. I also noticed that the thigh pieces are actually cut in half to make two pieces. Dont know if it was the patch or they just started cheating the comsumer

This place is so disorganized. They dont have mac n cheese, no lemonade, no strawberry buscuits, asked for no mayo 3x and they still put it. Then i had to wait 10 min for a new one. My family was done eating and i still did not have my sandwich!! Never coming here again. Gives Popeyes a bad name!!!

Food was fine and the delivery was on time but everything else was a mess. First they didn’t update the Seamless menu to show they sold out of chicken sandwiches so we had to change one order to chicken tenders. When the food was ordered neither of the meals had the biscuits that comes with them or the extra biscuit I ordered and there were no sauces with the tenders which they even ask what sauce you want. Also they didn’t have the courtesy to include a drink with 1 of the orders since we were supposed to get 1 with the sandwich.

The food is old. Fried chicken needs to be fresh. It cannot sit for too long or it dries out. The last few times I went, the chicken sat too long and was dry. In this part of Queens, this is an issue with many fried chicken places. You have to catch when a fresh batch of chicken is made or else. The macaroni and cheese was dry. I wasted a trip and money for my lunch. This location is not cheap either. I will have to go twice the distance to the Popeyes in the hood for fresher chicken, so be it

Do NOT go to this Popeyes! Out of all Popeyes restaurants I have been to, this place is the absolute WORST PLACE TO GO! I live relatively close to this Popeyes and have had the displeasure of being served horrible dry tasting food, with even finding hairs on MULTIPLE occasions. Along with the horrid food, the absolute rude and unhelpful service go perfectly along with their food. The service people were rude, and even one time I had ordered food online for pickup, just to come to the restaurant for them to tell me they were sold out the whole day. Not only did I not get a refund, the service I received from the manager was unhelpful and rude, almost as if they did not care at all! I do not recommend anyone going here, and recommend people going to the newly opened Popeyes that is only a few blocks away, of which I have received much better food, and out standing service at that location.

When I order, I order family sized. You would think that in a 30 pieces fried chicken there would be more than 2 chicken wings. The manager there today seems to be on the sneaky side, not only because of the lack chicken wings but because there is no full menu with prices to look at. He said chicken without combo is sold as either 3 pieces or 10 pieces. That's a lie because I go to popeyes once a month. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you enjoy being ripped off. Thighs and legs are $.79/lb and wings are $3/lb. I won't be shopping here again.

Recently I went to the restaurant and notice that they are all wearing gloves. Now the problem I am having is that the cashier's are not changing the gloves before they serve the customers. I had to ask her to change it. Notice I've had to ask! They are not practising good hygiene given the fact that we are in a pandemic From a virus spread by germs. You cannot touch the cash registered and handling money and then go on to make a sandwich with the same dirty gloves. Gloves spread germs. Wash your hands or use sanitizer whenever necessary. Or they should have a person serving and another at the cash register. This is not hygienic.

Aged old fried chicken drumsticks and thighs, disgusting. The skin was like chewing on sandpaper, taste dry and feel like they were been refried several times.

There is always a long line just to order and usually only one person working the counter. But honestly, the most frustrating is that you know you are running low on fries and each time it takes more than 5 mins to make. So why not ask in advance to the staff in the kitchen to make fries? Why have to wait 10 mins in line to order and then another 5 mins for fries. Like come on.. too busy talking. So ridiculous.

I am a regular customer and I have been buying food from this store for a long time but I think recently they changed some employees, everyone here is sweet but except a guy who works in the evening name Sagor or Sagur not sure, he yells at every customer, he is rude and absolutely unwelcoming and if you ask him question he doesn’t answer instead he just walks away, it feels like he is mad at everyone. Next time if he does that I will just call the manager in front of him otherwise I hope the supervisor notice this problem.

I went around 10 pm and they close at 10:30 I asked for wings and they said they didn’t have any. They were too lazy to fry another batch and told me to go. Some guy ordered the last 24 pc wings and they didn’t bother telling me in advance that that guy took them all. Very shitty service and lazy workers.

Great food, terrible management. I had the food delivered through a 3rd party courier, door dash, and it came on time. Food was still warm even though it was a little far off. We ordered the ultimate family feast and was missing a large side. Considering how far it was, we didn’t want to ask for a delivery guy to just deliver a side. I called to ask if we could have a partial credit for a side and they told me no. They asked me to come in and pick it up myself. Now what is the point of ordering delivery if I was available to pick it up? I told them I’m unable to pick it up and they told me “ well too bad. If you want the side, come with the receipt”. Even though I asked for the manager, he was too busy and told the worker on the phone to “make them come pick it up”. Waste of time.

Not sure if its the supervisor/manager named Farzana who was berating employees. She was humiliating them during rush hour while they were trying their best to keep up with the orders. Although the food is good I will not be coming here anymore. Cant support a business that doesnt respect their employees.

The service was poor. I did not get the sauce for my order. When I returned less than 5 mins later the server acted as if he didn't just give me my order and I was annoying him. Lastly, they didn't have any napkins? Yes NO NAPKINS! How can you enjoy finger food with no napkins. Definitely won't be back!

The workers here are a mess. Everything seems so unorganized, they are constantly running out of food and everyone has an attitude. I had a very disappointing experience here today. My friend and I went around 10 PM to grab some wings for takeout. We asked for the regular wings, but the lady at the counter name maisha ended up packing ghost pepper wings by mistake. To make matters worse, she made us wait while she was talking over the phone and seemed completely uninterested in helping us. The whole experience was frustrating, and the service was very rude. We won't be coming back.

I’ve never usually had problems here but recently in the last months the food has been horrid as well as the service. I placed an order as well did my friend so we went into the Mobile order side to tell the employee that we each had a Mobile order, we stood there for ten minutes waiting for Someone to assist us. And it wasn’t until we tried getting the workers attention 5 times did he come up to us and asked us what we needed. The restaurant was relatively empty so it wasn’t like they had many orders or a super long line. The cook and another employee were having a screaming match in the back and it was pretty awkward. The cashier asks us what we needed and we explain we have a mobile order, we wait another 10 minutes just for him to come back and say that they ran out of fries. At this point we were over it so we just say it’s fine because we just want to get out there. We ask him if we could get extra chicken or extra biscuits in place of the fries and he agrees. My friend and I ordered one tender meal as well as a 12 piece family tender meal for the rest the friends we had waiting at her house. As well as not having any fries they had 0 sauce and the employee that was assisting us was giving us the worst attitude, my friend and I were pretty understanding of the situation so we didn’t really put up a fight but I felt the attitude we were getting was uncalled for. After taking our food and getting back to the house we take the food out and realize it wasn’t even chicken tenders. It was half cooked fried chicken. It’s was very gross. Only thing that was good were the biscuits, so we just ended up having Chinese takeout and biscuits.

I work around the corner and have tried a couple times to order from this location online so I can run on my break and pick up my food.....its never ready when I get there, multiple times I go and tell them the order number and they proceed to grab a long chain of receipts from their online order register and start to do the order. And this is after standing there for 5-10 minutes on top of the 15 minutes from time of order and watching them fill all the orders from the people who are ordering in store...awful service, im done going to this location for now

At 10:15pm I order 5 piece spicy chicken meal for pick up. I asked the lady few times is it spicy chicken she said yes. I came home and opened the bag I found all of them are regular chicken. If you don’t have spicy chicken then tell people you don’t have any or your kitchen is close. Speak the truth why would you lie?

Been here before a few times. Always friendly and helpful. Today the food was way off. I mean WAY OFF! Ordered two Chicken Classic sandwiches and got I don’t know what! The chicken was soft and rubbery. They were very dark in color and there was NO CRUNCH. I ordered them with extra pickles and had to wait so I figured they were going to be fresh. Not left over from the day before. I had to eat something else and put them in the freezer for an exchange. I WILL take them back and update this review. It’s the first single star review I’ve ever posted. I had to wait a few days before posting this review as not to use the wrong words. I am thoroughly disappointed!

Very bad customer service because you have to wait a lot just for a small order. I don't recommend it. Too much wait. For fast food and you wait 40 min? Even in a restaurant, it doesn't take too long.
