Opinions de Om Wok Jackson Heights
I had spicy french fries as appetizer and I asked with onion and other veggies and it was one of the best things I've ever ate. The waiters are super nice all the time and I always enjoy my time when I come.
Finally got a chance to dine in past week. Ordered beef momo’s and beef chowmein. Momo’s were some of the best I’ve had. Akin to massive soup dumplings! a lot more flavorful and meatier. Beef chowmein as very flavorful, with smokiness from wok hue. Cozy little place where I’ll go back again and again. Service was friendly, attentive and quick. Lastly- Kudos to the chef!
Om wok, is one the best Tibetan restaurant among Queens moreover the service is great. I came all the way from Long Island to eat their dishes, I have been there last Saturday and the service is superb. It was busy there, but still the server will give their 200% to their customers they go above and beyond to serve their customers. I hardly see this kind of service in this type of small restaurant. Truly impressed by their service. Looking forward to come again.
Om Wok is honestly my go-to spot! The momo here is so juicy and delicious — definitely the best in town. Every time I come in, the vibe is super welcoming and the people are always friendly. It feels like eating at a friend’s place, but with way better food. If you haven’t tried their momo yet, you’re missing out!
Om Wok Restaurant has never once disappointed me and I’ve always been going back there again everytime I miss home. Shabhakleb and Chilly Chicken is best once you should try. This place has the best food, best service and ambience.
I recently dined at Om Wok and was truly impressed. The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Portions were generous, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. If you’re craving tasty, freshly made Asian cuisine, Om Wok is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back!🤤
The Momo's here are amazing especially at this price point! They're SO big and the meat and dumpling skin tastes really good and fresh. The hot sauce is actually hot ! 8 pieces is more than enough for two people. I had the fried and steamed momo to compare (I did like steamed more, plus it transports better) and the thenthuk (soup with hand pulled noodles). Both were fresh and had a great homemade taste that I love! The lady up front was also nice, recommending popular dishes since it was my first time here. Also conveniently has parking in the back and large seating area! I'll be back to try the rest of the menu :) *Note there is a fee for credit cards which she warned me about*
One of my favorite spots in Queens. I accidentally ordered the fried beef momo and it still slapped( means it’s mad good) . The shapale portion is crazyyy anywhere else in Jackson heights you’ll prob get 4-5 pieces only but at OM WOK they’re generous enough to give you 7 pieces for $11 def worth the bucks. My goto order is beef steamed momo and beef chill with two tigmo.
I come here for their hand pulled noodle soup and beef momo, the two dishes they recommended on my first visit and I've been hooked ever since! They are both made fresh and I love how I can taste the ingredients still (they don't taste overly flavored or over cooked.) Their momos take a few minutes to steam but they come out so juicy and fresh- totally worth the wait!! The servers are very nice and help me understand the menu all the time. Recommended for friendly meetups or family dinners. It's a little quiet for dates but food surely will not disappoint.
Liked the food alot, ordered 2x the first time I ordered. There are several options to choose from, will be ordering again. I ordered the tilapia and it came with vegetables & French fries. The shrimp pad Thai was plentiful. The steamed beef dumplings.
I was bored at home so I decided to come to OM Wok . I had laphing for an appetizer and for the entree , I had their lunch special . Tried their lunch special for the very first time and it was phenomenal. It was really worth the price.
I absolutely loved their potato cheese spinach momos and would definitely go back there for those. The spicy fries are spicy and worth trying if you like spicy food. The fried. Rice was nice too. We also got the Hakka noodles which were okay. I have had better ones at other locations at Jackson heights. Since we are vegetarians we didn't try their non-vegetarian momos which made them the winners of the momo crawl!
Wanted thai food in my neighborhood and this showed up being the closest one. They are not an actual thai restaurant but more like Tibetan-Indian-Thai. I ordered a yellow curry with chicken, chicken Manchurian, steamed momos which were filled with beef and potatoes. The place has seating capacity for 50 people. The decor and ambience is mostly Tibetan with a mural on one side showing the Tibetan landscape and few yak dolls. Our order came out in a reasonable amount of time. The chicken Manchurian was slightly diff from what i have had but it was still pretty good. The best was the yellow curry though. The momos felt they were made before and then put in for steaming according to the orders because the covering felt a bit chewy. I thought it would not be enough for two people but it was a reasonable amount. Would recommend it to check out if in the area. Try to order the Tibetan dishes as those look like their specialty.
I got the wonton soup and chicken Momos. The wonton soup was an absolute travesty (in fairness I shouldn’t have ordered something not Tibetan and expected it to be good). The meat was pretty meager and the flavor juat overall lacked. The momos were definitely better, pretty juicy and good chicken, but once again the flavor was minimal. I’ve definitely had better momos for cheaper too and the food took them so long to make, very fresh and hot but not worth the wait.
Food is good but the speed of cooking is ridiculous for the past few months. I’ve been coming here for pickup takeout a lot since I’ve lived around here for the past 1.5 years, but recent months it takes almost an hour to get 4-5 items ready for pickup. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Food is great but waiting for an hour for takeout while it’s not even busy is just INSANE. Prob won’t come back again I don’t know what’s wrong with the back kitchen
I’m surprised for the price I just spent on my meal to cost $28 where the portion was extremely small. I would say tops tops $22. Honestly I been going here for years and now what the hell is this!! I should have checked before I left but the bag was stapled. Also the cashier lady was rude
Food is good , But service is shit there more concerned about their own people and wont check up or take ur order unless u go up or all them been coming here for years , today my last day, Hope the owner sees this , get some real servers
This restaurant takes a long time to prepare food. I ordered my food for pickup, but when I got there, the worker told me it would take 5 minutes. However, it actually took more than 30 minutes. I waited so long that I almost decided to cancel my order, but I didn’t. I stayed a few extra minutes, and finally, in the end, I got my food. I suggest the restaurant not make customers wait so long—it’s not good.
There are tiny black particles on the shabhaklep which makes me nervous to even eat them. The presentation and care could be better. In other Tibetan restaurants, they will add veggies like peas, green beans, corn, carrots etc in your fried rice(beef/chicken/shrimp) that will enhance the whole dish. But as you can see there is none in this fried rice and definitely makes their dish look shabby and lacking effort. For the price of $10, throw in a little veggies for better business. Bad service. They give you 1 chilli for an order with 2 items.
I had very bad experience in this restaurant due to poor service. From the beginning, the server girl was very rude and incompetent. I think, she don’t know how to make professional face with customers. We tried being nice and understanding, but she was rude every time. If you want to enjoy your food and have fun with your friends and family then this isn’t the right place.Every customer wants delicious food with good service and not the rude face. From today onwards, I will never visit this place as service is very poor and very disappointed on her rude attitude.
